"I told Danny and Wolf who you were," He said, "Not that it matters now. They know now,"

Rachel nodded. This was part of being who she was, people would learn that she was the President's daughter. Especially, if they came in the front door of the White House and started arguing with her father. And Tex, she knew that he wasn't being malicious by telling them. He had a pretty good sense of what people were like.

"Danny was mad that I kept it from him. Wouldn't talk to me all night. Until you know, Chandler texted me that story. Such bullshit too, like don't they have something better to write about?" He fumed for a moment before getting back on track, "He asked me if he knew you at our little gathering and I was reluctant to tell him then. You were still trying to keep a lower profile."

Rachel thought it was sweet that he would hide it from even his friends, but he didn't need to. Even at that point, as friends, she thought, they would have been cool to be telling secrets, but she didn't know. Maybe she would have gotten upset at him about it. Him waiting till they were dating, it meant something. What? She wasn't entirely sure, but she felt better about it, than she did with him telling when they were just friends.

She held his hand close to her chest and kissed his fingers. "You are risking everything for me." She said, quietly.

He nodded this time. "Yeah, but it's worth it." He said. "You are so special and I wouldn't risk this for just anyone. I didn't think I would get attached to you, but you have become my favorite person in the world."

"You're my favorite person in the world right now too," She said as she looked over to him. "I hope you didn't mind that I made that promise to Tom and my dad. I just needed to get them off your back,"

He shook his head. "You did so much for me in that moment," He said and then he gently kissed her. "You were magnificent. And yes, even though I need this job and the free college and everything else that they're providing, if things went sour, I don't think that any of that stuff would actually be worth it."

"Well, we have an entire New Year's Weekend that you didn't get to do with your friends," She looked through the door at Danny and Wolf talking in the other room. They seemed to be fine, but she didn't want to presume to know them. "You should probably talk to them. It's been a minute since we've been in there."

"They'll just think we're having sex," Tex said with a smile.

"With the door open for anyone to see? Scandalous!" Rachel said, looking faux shocked.

Tex kissed her and smiled. "Yeah, something like that," He said. "But you're right, I should go talk to them. See what else we're going to be doing for the rest of the weekend, since our plans got a little derailed."

He got up and moved out of the room, over to where Danny and Wolf were having a ball, laughing and talking. He stood in the doorway, let them have their fun till he was noticed. It didn't take very long, but it was the least that he could do. "So this is the White House?" They asked.

He nodded. "Yeah, it's a little weird to be here isn't it?" He asked.

They both nodded eagerly. "We can get a hotel since we got a refund on the other one," He said. "If that would make you two more comfortable. But the Scotts are welcoming to guests,"

"The Scotts are welcoming to guests. As if you've been here a whole bunch of times," Wolf said as he clapped a hand on Tex's shoulder. "You've been here what…twice? And both times you were here were technically a part of your job? Sweet gig by the way. We now see how you got such a sweet room setup with Rachel."

Tex nodded. It wasn't like he could say no to any of this exactly. What Wolf had said was factual. He'd been here twice, both of which were part of his job and that the room he had with Rachel was part of the perk package to make the job more likable. Especially because from the onset, Rachel wasn't the sweetest of customers to deal with. They sweetened the deal with also not having to deal with roommates.

"We can go if you want. There's plenty of drinking to be done in DC, while the Scotts enjoy having their daughter at home for a little bit."

They shook their heads. "Nah, this is actually cool." They said, surprising Tex. "We want to see how you and Rachel would treat guests to a night out on the town,"

Tex rolled his eyes and popped out of the room real quick to get Rachel in on the whole thing, because he wasn't sure what she would say to any of this. "Tex said you had a proposition for us?" She said as she looked at the two men in the guest bedroom, practically already ready for a slumber party.

They nodded enthusiastically. "We want to know what you guys would do for a night on the town in DC. We already have accommodations here, so that's not a problem. We're looking for things to do."

She looked between Tex and them for a second, not quite believing what she heard. They wanted her recommendation for stuff to do in DC. "You guys know I haven't lived here that long right?"

They seemed to shrug that off. It didn't matter, surely there was something fun in the area that she could suggest. She didn't exactly know what kind of things two college boys would be into. She knew that it probably wasn't going to be the same thing that she was into. Instead a brilliant idea appeared to her like a vision.

"Why don't we all go out?" She asked them. "Instead of Tex and I figuring out what to do for you guys. We can all have a say in what to do and we'll make some memories along the way."

Danny and Wolf looked between themselves and shrugged. It seemed like a feasible enough plan and something that would give them a bit more say in what they wanted to do. "Deal," They said.

"Alright, let me go get a coat and change."
