(Val)

Passing through Kurogiri's Warp Gate, Val can feel their blood pumping. Today is the day. Today they get to show their stuff to a wider audience.

Excellent. The more eyes on the slaughter, the more exciting it would be. Looking up at the students, their sharp grin visibly terrifies the kids. Good.

As the final few Villains and a Nomu exit Kurogiri's portal, the man reshapes himself as Tomura looks around.

Tomura grunts, "The fuck? Wasn't All Might supposed to be here? Did he not get the memo or something? How the hell are we supposed to clear the dungeon without the raid boss?"

Val cracks their knuckles, "Don't worry Tomura. We just need to find a way to draw his agro, and I have the perfect idea on how."

Tomura sees the look in Val's eyes and chuckles, "You know, I like the way you think. Kurogiri, take Val and go make an introduction."

As the dark mist whisks them away, Val can feel their blood singing at the thought of the hunt.

Arriving, their bare feet touch down one the landing as Kurogiri reforms behind them.

Kurogiri speaks, "Greetings UA students. We are the League of Villains. I am Kurogiri."

Val chuckles, "And I'm Val. I'd say nice to meet you, but I doubt you'll be able to cherish this memory."

Kurogiri nods, "I apologize, but we must now begin the process of culling you. This is in no way personal, but we must lure out the Symbol of Peace for our plans."

Two of the students rush forwards, one with an explosion Quirk engages Kurogiri, while another with a hardening Quirk rushes Val.

Easily stepping around the Hardening user's clumsy swing, Val delivers a palm strike to his solar plexus that's swiftly followed up by a blast of light that sends him flying back.

Kurogiri, being made of mist, has no trouble with the Explosion user. Spreading his dark mist, students begin disappearing into the different zones of the building. Val, seeing their chance, dashes into the fog and grabs a student that had caught their eye, pulling them out of the fog as it dissipates. This one will be worth far more alive than dead.

Looking at their captured prey, Val smirks as they see the fear in the boy's emerald eyes. That isn't the most interesting part though.

Gesturing at the boy's red footwear, Val says, "Nice shoes kid. Didn't know UA took people like us."

The boy's eyes go wide, "W-what?"

Val laughs, "You know, us! The lesser, the losers, the freaks! The ones born with an extra toe joint and without a Quirk! I ditched my shoes a while ago, but the toe joint is still there."

The boy gulps, "B-but that's impossible! Y-you have a Quirk!"

Val's smirk widens as they start to laugh, "Oh yeah, you'd think so. However, it only seems impossible until it's done. And It's been done many times before, as I'm sure All Might could tell you all. Well, he could've, but he's not gonna survive today."

Hearing this, the boy's expression shifts to one of desperate anger as a powerful energy begins to build up in his arm. Before the boy can throw his punch, a vibration wracks his body painfully, breaking his concentration and causing the energy to subside.

Val's eyebrows shoot up, "Well, looks like All Might already told you one of the ways we can move up in the world. By the way, a piece of advice. No one uses just their fists in a fight."

Tossing the boy up into the air, Val slams his back with a Vibration empowered jumping kick that throws him into the ground with enough force to crack the concrete.

Val backs off, "Come on kid. You must be pretty smart to have gotten this far! Use your brain!

The boy mutters, "...-doriya."

Val raises an eyebrow, "What was that?"

The boy begins to push himself up, "I said, my name-", energy begins to suffuse the boy's entire body as he gets his feet under him, "-is Izuku Midoriya!"

Midoriya dashes forward and throws a swift punch that Val deflects, retaliating with an uppercut.

Jumping back a bit, a genuine smile breaks out across Val's face, "Nice to meet you Midoriya. I guess I'll reintroduce myself now, my name is Val Shigaraki."

Val drops into a fighting stance, "Now, you want to survive, right? Then you better learn quick!"

(Izuku)

Dodging to the side, narrowly avoiding a punch and followup light beam, Izuku goes over what he knows about this Villain, 'It seems like they have more than one Quirk! One of them shoots projectiles in the form of light energy, and the other creates powerful vibrations in their limbs that can transfer through touch. I shouldn't assume that's it though, based on what they're saying it looks like they might have access to a consistent way to gain new Quirks… They're dangerous, but no foe is insurmountable.'

Charging OFA throughout his entire body, Izuku can feel the difference it makes. Pushing the output to the point he can feel his body start to strain, around five percent, he pushes off and throws a feint that Val falls for before deciding to use the other meaning of their advice. He plants a strong kick on Val's stomach, sending them back as he gives chase.

Izuku had never really known all that much about fighting, but now after observing the Villain fighting and taking their advice, he understands just how wrong he was going about it. Trying to just punch his way at 100% through everything was the wrong way to go about it, especially since he couldn't handle that much power. He'd heard All Might say you need to put your back into punches, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

His mind racing with thoughts of how to improve, Izuku begins following through, applying the rest of his body behind his attacks, using it to dilute the power of OFA to a sustainable level, and factoring speed into his fighting.

However, Val has adjusted to his improvements and quickly begins deflecting and dodging his attacks. Seems they were holding back on him earlier, but why? Why are they seemingly trying to teach Izuku how to fight? And earlier, they had mentioned a threat to All Might's life, but left him out of it. They'd even mentioned survival as if it were a possibility for him… Why does this Villain want him alive?

(Val)

Grinning like crazy, Val can't help but be impressed. They thought Midoriya was smart, but it seems he's got an aptitude for combat. Val can see the gears turning in his head as he rapidly improves and adjusts to their fighting style.

Time for the real test then.

Val locks eyes with Midoriya, "Alright Midoriya, it looks like you've learned a lot in our little lesson. Time for your test!"

Darkness begins clouding around Val's hands before it solidifies into a pair of daggers. With a burst of light from their feet, they're in Midoriya's face, dagger swinging for his neck.

"The real fun begins now!"

A/N: So, here's another update finally. Hope you like it, see you around.
