AN: So here's chapter 1. I hope I can keep up with it like the last one, but I feel my inspiration waning, so don't expect another 100k fic in two weeks.
Chapter 1
"So the important thing to remember is you have to hold the feeling inside you, fill yourself up with it, and then say the incantation. Remember find a memory that makes you feel love, that will make it easier." Harry said to a room full of third-year Charms students.
"But Professor Potter, the patronus charm is a post-NEWTs charm, we're just third-years." A slytherin boy said.
"I cast my first Patronus charm in my third year in this very castle. If I can do it, then there isn't any reason to believe you can't. Also, I have not earned that title so please save for those who have, like Professor Flitwick." Harry said, hopping down from Professor Flitwick's desk, which he'd been standing on for the demonstration.
"But you're Harry Potter!" A Gryffindor girl said.
"First , don't start a sentence with the word 'but', learn to talk words good." Harry said, eliciting giggles from the students and Professor Flitwick.
"Secondly, it's Potter-Victoria, and thirdly, yes, I am Harry Potter-Victoria, but when I learned it believe it or not I was at a terrible disadvantage. I had very few happy memories to draw from. Besides, I've seen some of what you are all capable of, Professor Flitwick has been demonstrating the results of the improved syllabus all week. Don't concern yourself with what you think you can do. Just do it. Now you, Ms. Deveraux. Please stand." Harry said, walking over to a shy looking Slytherin girl.
"Are your grandparents still with us?" Harry asked her. She nodded Shyly.
"How excited were they when you got your Hogwarts letter?" Harry asked with a grin.
"They were so pleased! I thought grandma was going to explode." Deveraux said, smiling.
"Ok, think about that feeling when they told you how happy they were, how they knew you were going to go far, and that they were proud of you. Do you have that feeling in mind?" Harry asked. She nodded
"Now try." Harry said.
"Expectro Patronum!" The girl shouted. A white mist sprayed out of her wand and started trying to form into something, but it wavered.
"Remember your grandmother." Harry said. Deveraux smiled and suddenly the mist coalesced into the form of a jackrabbit, which hopped gleefully around the room.
"Excellent Ms. Deveraux! A million points to Slytherin!" Harry shouted.
"Harry, you know you're not allowed to give points any more. Take ten for Slytherin Ms. Deveraux." Flitwick said
"Spolsport." Harry said, pouting. Deveraux laughed and ran up to hug Harry, he patted her back.
"I understand that some of you may have trouble finding a suitable memory. God knows I struggled. Mine was the memory of my mother dying." Harry said, earning him a gasp. Flitwick's eyes widened.
"When the dementors affected me, I could hear her voice. Just the feeling of hearing her, telling me she loved me, and begging for my life. That is what did it. It doesn't have to be happy. Love is, as the Beatles said, all you need." Harry said. Harry checked his watch.
"Aww crap 5 minutes over. I'm not allowed to assign homework, but for everyone that couldn't manage it today, spend some time this evening before bed looking for a memory that fills you with love." Harry said
"Thanks Professor Potter-Victoria!" They said in unison.
"Remember, I'm not a professor. Harry will do, or if you feel the need to be formal, Goblin King Harry Potter-Victoria." Harry said, getting him another round of laughs. Flitwick walked over to him and bowed deeply.
"Excellent work my king." Flitwick said sarcastically.
"You know Talnok makes the goblins they found guilty of corruption call me King Harry? I swear that guy was the meekest, most quiet goblin when I met him but it turns out he's hilarious." Harry said.
"My cousins are raving about the changes in Gringotts. Profits have been improving dramatically, almost to pre-war levels." Flitwick said, leading him out to the hall. The walked the rest of the way to the staff conference room chatting about the goings on in the school. When the Battle of London was over, the dead buried, and things started to get settled, Harry had begun to take his role as owner of Hogwarts very seriously.
Minerva insisted on providing him with a quarterly report about changes that had been made, and their result on average grades. This had been a policy in the 19th century that the board of governors had done away with because it had made the declining intellect of pureblood students far more apparent. As a result of them bringing it back, the declining intellect of the pureblood students of Hogwarts was made quite apparent indeed, however instead of ridiculing or ostracizing them, Harry insisted on hiring remedial professors to catch them up and assist those with learning difficulties. It hadn't even been a year yet, but preliminary results were astounding. They arrived in the conference room and Harry took a seat to the left of Septima Vector, as she was the least likely to hit him.
"Thank you for coming Harry. I hope things are to your liking." Minerva said. Harry smiled.
"Things are wonderful! I've been observing classes all day, I daresay if I were to sit the exams you'll be giving the third years in a few months, I'd probably have trouble passing some of my classes. Pity they didn't raise O.W.L standards like I asked. There's gonna be a lot of kids with Acceptables in class that get Outstandings on O. ." Harry said.
"One thing at a time Harry. How did Charms go?" Minerva asked. Harry went to speak but Flitwick interrupted him.
"It was amazing! Harry taught my third years the patronus charm! Ms. Deveraux managed a corporeal patronus!" Flitwick said. Harry pouted.
"Remarkable! Harry why did you start with such a complicated charm?" Minerva asked.
"Because it is complicated. Remember when I was in school? How bored I was in defense, and Hermione was in... well everything? Education needs to be a challenge, or else they'll lose interest. Also, the patronus is a great way to introduce the effects of emotion on spellcasting." Harry said.
"I don't follow." Flitwick said.
"For example:" Harry said, lifting his wand and saying "Lumos."
"Notice the white color of the lumos charm, and it's moderate size." Harry said, before dispelling it.
"Lumos." Harry said, this time the light was red, and it was smaller.
"The difference between those was what I was feeling when casting. That's how I turned the Ass Cannon green! The white Lumos is my normal baseline, whereas for the red, I remembered.. something sad." Harry said, not wanting to elaborate.
"Haven't you ever seen the strength or appearance of your spells change when you're upset or happy? Hell, even accidental magic shows this. A happy child who wants a toy will make it float gently into their hand. A scared child will violently apparate to the top of a building when being chased by bullies. Reverse those and the book might slam into the first kid's head, and the other would appear safe atop the building with a nearly silent pop." Harry explained. The teachers looked at him gobsmacked.
"Harry, where did you learn this?" Minerva asked.
"What do you mean, isn't it obvious? Minerva, try it. Think about something that makes you very angry. Fill your heart with it like the patronus" Harry said Minerva thought for a minute and then nodded.
"Lumos." She said, a bright, violently crackling blue light the size of a beach ball hovered over her wand.
"Merlin!" Flitwick said. Minerva dispelled it and stared at him.
"You're seriously telling me you'd never tried that? Even after learning the patronus?" Harry asked. Minerva pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Do you think you could write down the concept you just discussed, demonstrated and taught me in on a parchment so it can be published? I'm fairly certain you have discovered a new aspect of magic." Minerva said. Harry shrugged.
"Sure, when I have a few I'll write it down, add a few notes. Maybe have Hermione look it over to make sure it looks ok." Harry said. Minerva smiled mischievously.
"Oh yes. Definitely have Mrs. Weasley look at it before publishing it." Minerva said.
"Harry is there any way we can convince you to come here and teach?" Bathsheba Babbling asked.
"Not full time but I'll be more than happy to come down and do a talk every once in a while. I have quite a bit on my plate at the moment. Can you believe coming to hogwarts, teaching and discovering new types of magic is what I do for fun these days?" Harry asked.
"May I speak off the record?" Minerva said.
"You're the headmistress." Harry said.
"You're an ass." Minerva said.
"You're not wrong." Harry said with a smile. He looked at his watch and stood.
"If you'll excuse me, I have an appointment to attend." Harry said.
"Oh is it- Nevermind. Good luck, Harry." Minerva said. Harry grinned and apparated out with a small pop.
"I wish I could do that." Vector said with a grin.
"Then see if Harry will sell Hogwarts to you." Minerva said, smiling.
Harry appeared in an alley behind a London women's clinic and made his way to the door, dodging several small children running in the lobby. He was directed to Integra's room where she was waiting. He found the examination room, and knocked on the door.
"Yes?" integra asked.
"It's Harry, are you decent?" Harry said.
"Yes, come in." Integra said. He opened the door wand walked inside. She was dressed in a hospital Johnny and was sitting nervously on an examination bed.
"Sorry I'm late, did I miss anything?" Harry asked.
"I just provided a sample, we're waiting for the result." Integra said, fidgeting with a tongue depresser.
"You know I could have popped down to the shops and picked up a pregnancy test for you." Harry said, smiling.
"I don't want to risk another false positive." Integra said. Harry took her hand and squeezed it.
"It'll be OK integra. I'll keep donating until it happens, even if it takes years." Harry said.
"I know, and I can't tell you how much this means to me Harry. You know you don't have to be here." Integra said.
"I want to be here. I promised you I'd be here for the whole thing, except... Well you know." Harry said with a grin. Integra smiled gratefully and was about to say something when she was interrupted by a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Integra said a little more urgently than she'd intended. A middle aged woman in a lab coat walked in and looked at Harry warily.
"Are you the potential father?" She asked. Harry nodded. She looked down at her notes.
"It says here you were artificially inseminated." The doctor asked, frowning in confusion.
"He's my best friend, and he is here to support me." Integra explained.
"Oh, I'm sorry. So you're ok with him being here if we discuss medical information?" The doctor asked.
"Yes, I already added him to the disclosure agreement." Integra said.
"Very good. Ok, so we got the results." The doctor said, handing Integra an envelope. She took it, but didn't open it.
"Harry, could you?" Integra asked. He smiled and nodded, took the envelope and opened, he pulled the paper out and read the results.
"Huh, well it looks like you're gonna have to go clothes shopping in a few months." Harry said, unable to hide the smile on his face.
"What?" Integra said incredulously.
"Integra, you're pregnant." Harry said grinning at her.
"Oh... OH! OH GOD!" Integra said, covering her mouth with her hands, tears forming in her eyes. Harry reached down and hugged her.
"Congratulations, Ms. Hellsing." The doctor said with a kind smile.
"Thank you! Oh my god, is this real?" Integra asked. Harry handed her the document, and she confirmed with her own eyes, letting out a sob, then dropping the paper and clutching on to Harry.
"I'll give you guys a few minutes and then we can discuss what to expect over the first trimester." the doctor said before leaving and closing the door.
"I'm so happy for you Integra." Harry said.
"Oh! I just realized, I'll need a new dress for yours and Seras' wedding! I'll be showing by then." Integra observed, grinning happily. Harry squeezed her.
"I'll call for the driver, obviously I can't apparate you home now. I wonder if Seras and Alucard will put two and two together when they see the limousine leave." Harry said
"God, I can't stop smiling. Oh God Harry, thank you." Integra said.
The doctor knocked and re-entered with a stack of pamphelets.
"You're more than welcome. I get to pick the name though. Guess what I have picked out? Harry Jr. 3: Revenge of Harry"
"I love you, but no." Integra said, unable to stilfe the laugh.
"Clearly you don't love me." Harry said, pouting.
