They play for approximately two hours, engaging in their favorite activities. Suddenly, the phone rings, interrupting their fun. Emma answers the call with a warm greeting, eager to help her big brother Danny. She listens attentively as he explains the trouble he's having with his cats. Emma offers some friendly advice, asking if he's been spending enough time playing with them. Danny admits that he's been too busy with his own life to give them the attention they need. Emma reminds him that she entrusted him with the responsibility of taking care of the cats and encourages him to handle the situation. Despite the interruption, Emma assures Danny that she is enjoying her time with George, playfully teasing him about his lack of enthusiasm for her feline companion. After the call ends, Emma lets out a sigh and expresses her frustration with her older brother's dramatic behavior. Katie, understanding Emma's annoyance, offers her support and solidarity with a fist bump. Kendall interjects, calling out Katie for her blunt honesty. Katie defends her statement, unapologetic for speaking the truth. Meanwhile, George, uninterested in the conversation, rolls his eyes and immerses himself in one of his beloved hockey magazines. Just then, George's parents FaceTime him, allowing him to see his beloved cats, Ozzie, Athena, and Tiberius. Olivia, feeling a pang of longing, expresses how much she misses her own cats. She confesses that being so far away from them is a new experience for her. James, trying to offer some comfort, suggests that her cats must be enjoying the company of her parents.
"Within the depths of my heart, my parents hold a special place. Though lately, they have forsaken the sanctuary of my bed, spending the nights locked away in cages. I can't help but fear that their spirits may be dampened by this arrangement." Olivia says.
"Oh, fret not, dear Olivia. I, too, yearn for the presence of my beloved Daisy." Hailey says.
"My feline companions are sorely missed as well, Hailey." Emma says.
"Fear not, fair maidens, for your cherished pets dwell in the hands of reliable caretakers." James says
"It bewilders me how Daniel perceives the care of two cats as a Herculean task. I presented him with concise, foolproof instructions, yet he still acts as if he's faced with a daunting challenge. Truly, boys can be quite the dramatic creatures. Don't you agree, Katie?" Emma asks.
Katie playfully points at James and bursts into laughter.
"Indeed, my dear Emma. This particular lad right here exemplifies your point perfectly."
Laughs even harder.
Feeling slightly hurt, James walks away in silence.
As the night softly envelops them, it is time for rest to embrace their weary souls.
