Alice
After an entire night of searching my visions for any further clues about who could be responsible for the coming blood shed, I practically fall backwards on the couch with a frustrated huff.
"Allie, what'd you see?" Jasper suddenly shows up by my side and begins rubbing gentle circles into my shoulders.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I keep seeing this one kids face... He seems to be at the middle of it. The only thing I can't work out is who he is, how he knows Bella and why he wants her dead."
"Bella? I would have figured with the mass of casualties, it seemed more like a territory war fought with an army of newborns. What does it have to do with Bella?"
"Well, this kid grabbed a red blouse from Bella's house. He was passing it around to different people so they could catch her scent."
"That definitely sounds like they are going after Bella." Carlisle pipes up from the doorway he is leaning against. "I guess we just need to figure out why that is, and what they want. If there is someone pulling the strings from behind the scenes, they seem pretty well equipped with playing with your blind spots."
"Yeah, that is worrying me. Plus with Bella now being a werewolf, I can't see her or see her future. So that is doubly worrying."
"Hey, it's ok Allie, we will figure it out," Jasper whispers in my ear as he presses a kiss on my earlobe.\
Suddenly, my phone begins to vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out to see Bella's name on the caller id so I immediately swipe the screen to answer.
"Bella? Is everything okay?"
However, instead of hearing Bella's soft voice, I hear a much deeper and more serious voice, "Hello Alice. It is Jacob. I would like to meet with you all everyone who came with you. We need to talk. One hour. Meet me in the clearing where we saved Bella from the vamp with the dreads." Just as suddenly as he calls, he hangs up.
"Well, I guess we have a meeting in an hour." Esme says softly from her new place by Carlisle before continuing, "Wait, what does he mean the clearing where they saved Bella from Laurent?"
Looking at her feet, embarrassed that she never told her family about the incident, she begins, "A couple months after we left, she went looking for the clearing where she used to spend a lot of time with Edward. While she was there, Laurent showed up and threatened to kill her. Even though I never saw how she made it out, I quickly continued seeing her future after the clearing so I knew she survived. But I didn't know that the wolves played a part in it. I just thought that Laurent decided to show mercy and leave her alone."
"Alice, are you aware that if Edward ever finds out that there are vampires after her even though we left, he will come right back and make everything worse?" Rosalie asked, "I mean, it was hard enough to leave the first time. If he knows that she is in danger, he will come back and change her himself, imprint or not. We need to make sure that he doesn't find out about this!"
*Him finding out may not be such a bad idea... I mean it would make sure that Bella is safe, but also we might now have to lose her again.*
