Razi and his men attack the embassy. They use rocket launchers, which the Americans had not expected this kind of advanced weaponry.

President Allen and vice-president Keaton are informed about the attack. There is nothing they can do but nervously await news of how it turns out.

Coverage of the baseball game is interrupted for news about of the attack in Kabul. Jack sees this. He knows he did all he could, it was because of his efforts that the embassy had as much time to prepare as they did. Still, Jack can't help but wonder if he should have stayed.

Despite the advance warning, the embassy didn't know that Razi would have this great numbers or weapons. Twelve marines are killed and colonel Mcnamara is forced to surrender. Some civilian embassy staff are n hiding places with Afghan civilians. Razi's soldiers find some and bring them to the other hostages.

At the embassy Razi confronts colonel Mcnamara.

Razi: I want the names of every Afghan who collaberated with the occupiers.

Mcnamara: I can't. When we got intel about the attack we destroyed the list.

Razi: You are lying. I will execute one hostage every minute until the list is given to me.
