It is already night when Jack Bauer arrives at CTU. He is brought up to speed by George Mason.

Mason: This punk gave up his associates, including two known neo-nazies and another man. This other man, Jones, is believed to have ties to at least one doomsday cult.
Jack: You think he's holding back on anything?
Mason: No, he doesn't have what it takes to hold up to interrogation.
Jack: Maybe, but I'd like to be certain.
Mason: Okay, but no physical torture.
Jack: Agreed.

Jack went into Mike's interrogation room, and dismisses the others. Mike is suddenly scared.

Jack: You tried to blow up a movie theatre. The same movie that my daughter plans to take my granddaughter to this weekend. And I hear you like this video game where you shoot at mixed race children, children like my granddaughter. The thought of some thug like you hurting her, that keeps me up at night.
Mike: I wouldn't hurt your grandchild.
Jack: Only because you're afraid of me. If you don't tell CTU everything you know...
Mike: I already gave up my friends, everything I know.
Jack: This country is actually pretty good at incarcerating African-Americans. Someone like you, with all your racist garbage. You nearly killed a retired cop and his grandchildren, how do you expect to last in prison.
Mike: With help from the Brotherhood.
Jack: I assume you mean the Aryan Brotherhood, a prison gang with neo-nazi leanings. I'm not a fan, but I do have to say one thing for them, they don't allow child molestors into their ranks.
Mike: What does that have to do with me?
Jack: I'm going to make sure the other incarcerated people know you're a suspected pedophile. That way the Aryan Brotherhood won't protect you, and child molestors are at the lowest end of the food chain in prison anyway. And just for the hell of it, I'll let them know you're also a snitch. Now start talking!
Mike: I swear, I don't know anything else.

Jack looked into Mike's eyes. He was terrified of what would happen to him. Jack knew he didn't have the strength to be a stand up guy, if he knew anything else he would be talking.

President Allen is discussing the recent development with her chief of staff.

Allen: "Don't go to school tomorrow." That's what this suspect was told by his terrorist superiors.
Gardner: It is June, most schools are either done for the year or close to it. If we were to inform the public that schools are a target for tomorrow, a lot of kids could use this as as excuse to pay hookey.
Allen: My own children would love that. But what would stop the terrorists from using their weapons to go after other targets?
Gardner: Not much. We need to find out who else is involved. But the people do deserve to know about this possibility.
Allen: Agreed.

Rudy and Heather reached the apartment. Layeq let him in. Layeq was with the Taliban, at the height of their power he got his hands dirty, persecuting women, religious and ethnic minorities. Layeq had risen to be one of the emissaries between the Taliban and Alqueda, it sickened him how Hekmetyar was betraying them to make peace with the Americans, he was willing to die striking one last blow against this enemy. Also in this apartment was a young woman named Georgia. At the age of 18 Georgia sexually molested her 12 year old sister. She was arrested, served time in prison, and her parents disowned her. Georgia found it difficult to adjust after being released, eventually she came to embrace radical environmental groups. One group in particular believed in the extinction of the human race, this allowed Georgia to chanel her anger at the world and delude herself into believing it was a noble cause. Georgia and Layeq got along okay, and they could probably get along with Heather and Rudy. Particularly since none of them expected to be alive in 18 hours.

George Mason contemplates whether to tell Jack Bauer of another recent development. Mason knows he needs confirmation first, and this could easily come back to bite him. It was a risk, but it might be a neccessary one.
