Eric Carter brings Teddy to CTU for questioning.

Teddy: I told you I want a lawyer.
Eric: You're a suspected terrorist, so no.
Teddy: What are you talking about? All I did was, allegedly, sell narcotics to junkies who would have just gone elsewhere without me.
Eric: And helping to murder a man coming out of CTU?
Teddy: Even if I did that, he was the terrorrist, not me. A neo-nazi who blew up children at a movie theatre.
Eric: How did you know he was a neo-nazi, that intel wasn't made public.
Teddy: I made an educated guess, I saw the rumors on the internet.
Eric: That why you believe children were killed?
Teddy: That's right.
Eric: That punk was cooperating. You didn't kill a terrorist, you murdered a witness.

At their safehouse Layeq receives a call from Gaines. Heather listens to it, she particularly pays attention to his suppossed anger. After the call ends Layeq briefs the team.

Layeq: That was our superior. Because of all the attention on the schools, a lot of parents are keeping their children home tomorrow.
Georgia: What does this mean for the plan?
Layeq: We might have to delay for a few hours. But we will achieve martyrdom very soon.

This makes Heather even more suspicious, she thinks that Layeq and Georgia want to take advantage of her before they all die. She vows to herself that this will not happen. She just has to figure a way out first.

At Karen's house, she becomes more nervous, more angry. Horace takes this moment to say something stupid.
.
Horace: It's noone's business but yours. You should just say it. Why should they care if you aborted a fetus.
Karen: You really don't get it, do you? This was our baby, and you talked me into killing it, because that was what was best for you.
Horace: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have...
Karen: Just get out. Now!

Horace hopes that Karen just needs some space and walks out. He doesn't even notice the next door neighbor, who seems to have heard her screaming. In her home Karen is shocked to see Carl Webb, the man who tried to blackmail her.

Karen: What do you want?
Carl: I take it you tried to talk to Horace.
Karen: Yeah, but she just wants to have you all arrested. I never told him your name, I don't even know who you work for.
Carl: And I do appreciate that. The president's reaction was not unexpected, you played your part well.
Karen: Thanks. So, you're not going to expose my mistake.
Carl: I don't think that needs to come out now.
Karen: Thank you.

Karen was relieved, she turned her back on Carl Webb. Carl quickly puts his gun to her temple and shoots her. Karen is killed instantly, the silencer prevents the neighbors from hearing it. Carl then puts the guns in her dead hand, and shoots the wall. Karen;s death might be considered a suicide, but since the neighbors heard her screaming at Horace, only a minute before her death, this could greatly hurt president Allen, which was what Carl's emplyers wanted.

Eric Carter continues to try and reason with Teddy.

Eric: You were a soldier once, believed in this country. You clearly have no love for neo-nazies. Why would you work with these terrorists?
Teddy: I didn't, okay I dealt drugs but how was I suppossed to know they were terrorists. Jones, he's white, didn't exactly have a swastika tattoo.
Eric: You knew he was going to commit murder, you helped him find a patsy.
Teddy: Miguel wanted to go back to prison, and I didn't mind helping to take out a neo-nazi.
Eric: Like you didn't mind killing those Taliban soldiers who tried to surrender?
Teddy: It was war and they were the enemy.
Eric: You really believe that, help us stop these terrorists. You do that, you'll still go to prison, but you'll avoid the death penalty. And maybe, just maybe, you can get some of your honor back.
Teddy: Okay, I'll help you.

With CTU monitoring him Teddy calls Jones.
.
Jones: I thought we agreed not to speak for awhile.
Teddy: I just got a new, product.
Jones: What kind of product?
Teddy: I'd rather not say over the phone, you know how brutal our competitors can be.
Jones: Is this important?
Teddy: Yeah, it could be profitable for me and you.
Jones: Okay, I'll be at your trailer within an hour.

Jones was on a tight schedule, but Teddy had proved reliable, and his associates did need money for their operations.

Split screens show CTU preparing for the operation to arrest Jones, Heather plotting how to get away from Layeq and Georgia, Dmitry observing the streets of Moscow, Kyle Singer and Vaachaspati going to the meeting, Karen's dead body lying on her floor, and Jack Bauer landing in Cuba.

Jack observes the area, empty just like Mason said. He had feared that the Cuban police only let Jack in planning to arrest him once he landed. So far he's been lucky, but in this area he could run into the Cuban police, the right wing rebels, or the local drug cartels. He knows he needs to find Nina Myers and complete his mission as soon as possible.
