Gaines: Why are you breaking radio silence?
Layeq: The girl, Heather, she escaped.
Gaines: You think she'll turn herself into CTU?
Layeq: I doubt it, she is with Patricia. Rudy says she is determined to die, the unexpected delay made her panic.
Gaines: Pat's a real fanatic, and she has a real hatred for that movie.
Layeq: Perhaps she wants to martyr herself in this movie.
Gaines: Maybe. I know the theatre where she works, I'll check their website now. Yeah, they have a midnight showing tonight. Go there, make certain they're dead.
Layeq: We will.

Gaines knows this could hamper his superior's plans. He calls Dmitry.

Dmitry eats breakfast in his office when Gaines calls again.

Dmitry: What is it Ira?
Gaines: One of the potential bombers broke off from her group. Others are searching for her now to eliminate her.
Dmitry: How much does she know?
Gaines: Almost nothing. Nothing that would lead back to me or you. But she might detonate early, which will only make the Americans more guarded.
Dmitry: How go your plans to find alternate targets?
Gaines: I'm working on it, but we may not have as many casualties as you want.
Dmitry: That is unfortunate, but acceptable. The important part is that nothing can be proven against me.
Gaines: It won't be, I swear.
Dmitry: I am glad to hear that, for your sake.

Jack and Nina nervously wait for Abraham to call back. Jack doesn;t trust Mason, but that strike could have come from any number of sources. The Cuban military, the right wing rebels, the cartels. To any of them this was an unknown plane, all of them had a reputation for shooting first and never asking questions. But for the moment, he didn't know if he could trust anyone.
