Horace Allen sits alone in his car. Some teenagers see him and take pictures with their cellphones. As the president's son he is used to this, and at this point he doesn't care. He wonders, maybe Rebecca had been right all along. If he had done the right thing, offered to marry Karen, or at least take some financial responsibility for their baby. Maybe Fox News and others would have criticized him for causing a teen pregnancy, but maybe Karen would still be alive, maybe he wouldn't be a suspect in a murder he didn't commit. Things just seemed to get worse and worse, all because he tried to avoid his responsibilities. Horace began to wonder if there was even any point in going on.

President Allen is finally able to talk with president Putin in Russia.

Putin: Madam president, I am relieved to hear that you are alive.
Allen: Thank you. Some of my staff, including agent Aron Pierce, were killed in this terrorist attack.
Putin: A great tragedy. Please know that your people have the thoughts and prayers of all Russian peoples.
Allen: And if it turns out that some Russian citizens are involved in this?
Putin: Ofcourse we will cooperate fully with their prosecution and incarceration. Provided the evidence proves their guilt.
Allen: I would expect nothing less from an innocent country.

Jack Bauer's plane is going to land soon. He is finally able to call Tony Almeida.

Tony: Jack, have you heard what happened?
Jack: I know there was going to be an attack against the White House, but I've been unable to contact Aron Pierce.
Tony: The terrorists attacked, tried to murder president Allen. She survived, but Aron Pierce was killed.
Jack: He was a good man, I have no doubt he died a hero.
Tony: That's what the news says.
Jack: I'm with Nina Myers, she says she has information about more attacks.
Tony: You trust her?
Jack: I'm not sure, but I need your help.
Tony: I'm out of the game Jack, why not just report this to George Mason?
Jack: Because he might be involved, I think he tried to have us killed a few hour ago. You and Audrey are the only ones I can trust.
Tony: Okay, where do you want to meet?
