President Vladimir Putin shakes hands with his citizens. Soon he will be awarding medals to Russian soldiers of the Ukraine war, and presents to children whose parents died in the war. Ever since those two Ukranian musicians were killed by Russian drones, the international community seems to view Russia as a pariah. Ceremonies like this were more important than ever for Putin's image. Putin will soon be at the podium for his speech, unaware of the bomb waiting for him.

Jack Bauer, Tony Almeida, and Nina Myers plan how to lure John Walker out to the open.

Nina: Walker has a daughter, Laura. When she was in the army Walker tried, unsuccessfully, to recruit her into his spy ring. She might be willing to help.
Jack: Walker murdered his own son, I'm not sure he cares enough about his daughter.
Nina: Maybe, but she still might be our best lead.
Tony: I can't think of a better plan.
Jack: Fair enough. You go speak with her, I'll stay with Nina.
Nina: I feel safer around Tony than Jack.
Jack: Fine, but Tony don't turn your back on her, she will try to manipulate you.
Tony: I know, I'll be on my guard.

Jack left them. Nina didn't immediately begin speaking, but Tony knew she would try and manipulate him before long.

Putin was well aware that the whole world was watching him at the moment, probably the American president Mackensie Allen. Putin would not have been completely surprised that Dimitri was watching coverage of this. Dimitri hadn't been in contact with the assasin over a week. That was normal, had to maintain radio silence. But there was no way of knowing if the bomb was in place, Dimitri would just have to wait with his anxiety for a little while longer.

Putin: Comrades, brothers and sisters, we have endured much hardship together this last year. Children who will be forced to grow up without a parent. Heroic soldiers forced to return home without an arm or a leg. I do not take it lightly when I must send our soldiers into battle, knowing full well that many will not return. But such is the price we must all pay together, in order to complete the de-nazification of Ukraine. We must not let the sacrifice of so many Russian soldiers be in...

Before Putin could finish this sentence the bomb went off. All over the world people saw the explosion. Some cameras were damaged by the explosion, and the Russian media tried to cut the broadcast for the remaining cameras. But it was too late, the world now knew that the president of the Russian Federation had been killed.
