From CTU George Mason calls Eric Carter. Eric is knocking on Jack's door, no answer.

Mason: Are you at Jack's house yet?

Eric: Yeah, but noone appears to be home. I'm going to Kim's house next.

Mason: You should know that Jack appears to have taken a hostage.

Eric: Who?

Mason: Laura Walker, daughter of "alleged" traitor John Walker.

Eric: So he's unstable now?

Mason: So it would seem.

Eric: Does this affect the plan?

Mason: Maybe. The people we're asking to help are friends and family of Jack Bauer, maybe we could use his eventual prosecution to convince them to help if neccessary.

Eric: I'll keep that in mind.

President Allen is working in the Oval Office. She hasn't slept in almost 24 hours. Between the withdrawel from Afghanistan, the possibility of war with Russia, and multiple terrorist attacks on American soil in the last 13 hours. And her son is still missing, she fears for Horace's safety. But she is also the president of the United States, she was elected by the people to handle crisis to the best of her abilities. Both Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy had children who died while they were in office, how they handled it she wasn't sure. Maybe they just handled it because they had no other choice. Neither did she at the moment.

Horace Allen gets another call from his sister Rebecca. This time, he decides to take the call.

Horace: Hey Rebecca.

Rebecca: Finally you answer. Please come home, we're all worried about you.

Horace: Yeah, I really screwed up didn't I?

Rebecca: We all make mistakes. Just come home and we can get through it together, like a family.

Horace: Karen is dead because of me. I didn't pull the trigger, but they killed her because of what I did.

Rebecca: Who killed her?

Horace: Carl Webb, and whoever he works for. They knew the White House would be attacked, they control everything apparently. I guess they're the kings, and you and I are just pawns.

Rebecca: Please come home, we can protect you.

Horace: No you can't.

Rebecca: I love you.

Horace: I love you. Tell mom and dad and Amy that I love them. Tell them I'm sorry.

Horace then hung up. Rebecca tried calling back, but this time Horace didn't answer. This time he waked to the roof and jumped off.
