Been almost two weeks since I updated, I know, but here's the next chapter.

The TARDIS materialized in a park. The doors opened and The Doctor and River walked out. The pair were followed more slowly by Fitz, who looked around, still having trouble believing everything he had been told.

"It takes a bit of getting used to, I know," The Doctor said, seeing the look on Fitz's face.

"Still trying to process that I'm part alien and that time travel exists. But I'm more worried about my friends. Speaking of, where is this friend of yours supposed to be?" Fitz asked.

"Right here."

At the sound of the voice, the group turned towards a bench, where a dark haired man in a grey greatcoat was sitting.

"Jack," The Doctor greeted and Jack smiled.

"Doctor," Jack greeted as he got to his feet before heading over to Fitz. "And you must be Fitz. Captain Jack Harkness. And you are just a chip off the old block, aren't you?"

Fitz looked at Jack warily for a moment, wondering if the man was flirting with him.

"Stop it," The Doctor said and Jack looked over at him.

"I'm just saying hello," Jack said innocently.

"And for you, that's enough," The Doctor said in exasperation.

"I don't think you came all this way to flirt with my son, Captain," River pointed out and Jack nodded.

"No. Like I said, I found something on the disappearance of Fitz's friends," Jack said and Fitz started.

"What?"

Later, in an apartment, Jack had opened a laptop and the family of three were behind him, watching as Jack brought up security footage of the diner.

"Okay, see that truck?" Jack asked, pointing to the truck that had just rolled in.

"Yeah, it arrived just before my friends disappeared," Fitz remembering told as they watched the truck open up and people getting out before the footage cut out.

"And shortly, all security cameras within a two mile radius of the dinner went down for two minutes. The two minutes you can't remember Fitz," Jack said as he looked back at Fitz.

"It wasn't just me though. Everyone in the dinner had the same blackout," Fitz pointed out and Jack nodded.

"Everyone in two miles of the diner," Jack corrected.

"Alien technology?" The Doctor guessed and Jack nodded.

"More than a few species in the universe have the technology to pull this off, as you know, Doctor," Jack pointed out.

"So my friends were abducted by aliens," Fitz muttered in disbelief, remembering sarcastically telling that to Hale.

"Happens more often than you think," Jack said before turning back to the laptop. "But that's not the interesting thing. Check out what happens when the security cameras come back online."

They all watched as the footage came back on, showing the truck taking off.

"After that, it vanishes. But not far from the diner, a postal truck. And then, just around the corner, a different truck. But look what happens when I compare all of them," Jack said, doing just that.

The Doctor, River and Fitz watched as Jack performed a 3D scan of each truck before the scan revealed the three trucks were actually one in the same.

"A camouflage feature," River realized and Jack nodded.

"Yes. And once I figured that out, it was fairly easy to track the truck. I know where they are," Jack said with a grin.

Later that day, the group of four entered a house, Jack holding a gun. Jack checked around the corner before gesturing them all forward. Silent as a mouse, the group entered a kitchen, seeing a bald man in a suit opening a fridge. The four of them slowly and quietly walked up behind the man when he spoke up.

"I've been expecting you," the man said, taking them all aback.

"Really took the element of surprise away," Jack said as the man turned around to face them.

"There's no need for violence," the man said and Fitz recognized his voice.

"You were in the diner. I saw you," Fitz said. "You put them in your truck and brought them here. Where are they?"

"2-0-9-1," the man said and they looked at the man blankly. "Earth year, 2-0-9-1."

"You took them to the future?" Fitz asked in disbelief. "Why?"

While a few hours ago this would have seemed impossible to him, now he was at least willing to entertain the idea, given his…parents.

"You're a Chronicom," River realized, recognizing the speech pattern and robotic like tone and expression.

"A what?" Fitz asked confused.

"The historians of the universe. Cyborg like creatures who watch and observe," Jack explained.

"Which begs the question why a Chronicom would do this. Who are you?" The Doctor demanded.

"My Earth name is Enoch. I was sent here thirty-thousand years ago to observe and record the human race," Enoch explained.

"It's nice to meet you, Enoch. But why would you send Phil Coulson and his team over sixty years into the future?" The Doctor asked.

"To fulfil a prophecy," Enoch said, walking into another the room.

The group of four followed him, stunned to see various pictures of data on the wall.

"What the bloody Hell?" Fitz muttered.

"It's the language of the Chronicoms," The Doctor explained.

"This speaks of the future. They were needed there," Enoch explained.

"Why didn't you take me then?" Fitz demanded.

"You weren't part of the Seer's prophecy, Mr. Fitz," Enoch explained.

"Seer?" Fitz asked.

"Some beings have the ability to see the future. Wouldn't be the first time I've crossed paths with them," The Doctor noted.

"Send me through too," Fitz demanded to Enoch.

"I'm afraid that's not possible, Mr. Fitz," Enoch said.

Enoch walked over to a desk in the center of the room, opening the laptop on top of it. They all watched as he brought up footage of Coulson, Jemma, May, Daisy, Mack and Elena standing in front of a Monolith before it turned to liquid, swallowing them and before turning back to its normal state.

"You set them through a Monolith?" Fitz asked in horror.

"I only knew when it would open, I have no knowledge of who opened it," Enoch explained.

"Somebody does. This seer, let's start there. Take me to them," Fitz demanded.

"I do not think it wise," Enoch hedged.

Having had enough of this, Fitz yanked the gun from the surprised Jack and, to the shock of Jack and his parents, grabbed Enoch by his shirt and slammed him onto the desk before pointing the gun at the back of his head.

"You are gonna take me to whoever or whatever the seer is, or your future ends, right now," Fitz said coldy.

"Leopold! That's enough," River said as she and Jack yanked him away from Enoch, looking at him worriedly.

"Leopold, I understand your fear, I do not react much better when people go after those I love. But you are better than this," The Doctor said and Fitz scoffed.

"You don't know me. You don't know what I am," Fitz said in self-loathing.

"I know guilt, I know self-loathing. And I can tell you that you can't let it cloud your judgement or you will do something you can't come back from," The Doctor said darkly, thinking of his many mistakes after the Time War. "But regardless, you don't need to use violence. There is another way to get Enoch to cooperate with us."

Fitz stopping, looking at his father curiously as The Doctor walked over to Enoch, helping him up.

"Are you all right?" The Doctor asked.

"I am unharmed," Enoch said and The Doctor nodded.

"Good. Now, doing something like this, you'd need the permission of the Shadow Proclamation. And I don't believe they'd grant it, would they?" The Doctor asked and Enoch didn't respond, although it was clear he hadn't gone to them. "Now, you're going to do as my son ordered and take us to the seer or I will turn you in for multiple violations of the Shadow Proclamation. Do we have an agreement?"

It was silent for a few moments as Enoch considered his answer before finally nodding.

"Very well. I will take you to the seer."

Not many changes so far I know, but I do hope you guys enjoyed it anyway.

Next chapter we'll finish the events of 5x05 and finally get onto the main events of the story.
