Hey everyone. At first I'm so sorry that I wasn't updating that long. Life can be horrible but now I managed it. As the previous chapter was only in Erik's POV, this one is only in Lou's. This time she and the kids are very worried about Erik. Later they will be even more worried about him but I don't want to spoil anything. I hope you enjoy this chapter and see you soon.
Greetings Petit Erik
Louise POV
Life couldn't have been better. Our children were doing fine and Erik was the best father in the world. His children adored him and he did the same with them. That he was ever to be found without them was rather rare. One of them was always around him. Of course they also loved me more than anything but Erik was often the first choice. Our second wedding anniversary and the children's birthday had just passed. I had been feeling unwell for some time but didn't want to suspect anything yet. I bought a pregnancy test and then looked in the bathroom to see if what I suspected was true. I waited for some time and saw that there were two lines on the test. A huge grin spread across my face. I took the test and went to my husband who was in the living room with his children watching them play. He turned his head to me and looked at me. He smiled and held out his hand to me. I walked over to him and leaned on his shoulder.
"Are you okay, angel?" he asked.
I shook my head and looked at him. Then I took out the test and held it in front of his face. Erik's eyes widened and he looked at me.
"Angel? Is that true?" he asked me and I grinned and nodded.
He laughed and hugged me stormily. Then he kissed me long and deep on my lips. I wrapped an arm around his neck and put my hand on his disfigured cheek and stroked it gently. He purred and caressed my belly. When we parted, he smiled at me, and I continued to stroke his cheek.
"Mommy? Papa?" asked Jere suddenly, looking at us.
Josy stood next to her brother and tilted her head. She looked so much like her father with it. He took his daughter in his arms and smiled at her. I did the same with Jere.
"It seems that you will soon become big brother and sister," Erik said to Josy.
Her eyes got big and she looked at me. I smiled and took her little hand. I also took my son's hand and placed my children's hands on my stomach. They looked at me.
"That's where your new sibling is growing. And in about 8 months, you'll be able to see it."
My children looked at me in amazement and then smiled. They hugged me and I felt Erik put his arms around all of us. It was like a big cocoon that warmed and protected us all.
"It would be nice if it was just one this time instead of two again," Erik murmured.
I started to laugh.
"That's right. I hope so, too."
"Shall we tell your family? Maybe on your grandpa's birthday?"
"That would be wonderful. I'm sure Grandpa will be happy."
"Oh, he will. By now I know him very well, too, and so I know he'll definitely be happy."
Josy suddenly poked her father in the side and he winced. She giggled and poked his side again. Erik started laughing and tried to crawl away from his daughter. She followed him laughing and her brother joined her. Erik slowly started running away from his children and they ran after him. The house was filled with the musical laughter of my angel and the loud laughter and squeals of my children. They had run into the children's room and I suddenly heard Erik cry out loudly. I instantly ran upstairs and saw Erik being mercilessly tickled out by his children. He was rolling on the floor and he and I walked towards my family grinning.
While his children were tickling out his sides, I knew his special weak spot. I knelt at his feet and pressed my finger into a special spot on the sole of his foot. He really cried out now and looked at me with wide eyes. I grinned and began to tickle him further. His children happily joined in again. By the end, Erik was just writhing on the floor screaming and trying to breathe.
"Come on, my angels. Go play by yourselves for a bit first. We need to let Dad catch his breath first," I said to my children.
They let go of Erik, smiling and giving him a wet kiss on the cheek, then jumped away happily. Erik gasped and I came over to him.
"Are you all right?", I asked him.
He nodded, still breathing a little hard.
"Yeah, just trying to get my breath back. But it's getting slow."
I smiled and kissed him briefly. Suddenly, I saw something not at all pleasant. There was blood on his head. Immediately, I was on alert.
"Erik. Please lie still for a minute, okay?", I said to him.
"Okay," he replied, confused, and I ran out of the room and into the bathroom to get some bandages.
I returned instantly and knelt beside him.
"I hope I'm not going to hurt you now," I whispered and kissed him briefly.
He nodded and I knelt beside his head. I saw that a vein had burst on his exposed section of bone and he was bleeding from it. Probably when he was tickled out, he had hit his head too hard on the floor, which is how it happened. Unfortunately, there was no carpet in that spot anymore, but the beautiful oak wood floor that was in almost all the other rooms. I took out a few swabs from the bandage material and pressed them to his head. He hissed and I stroked his cheek reassuringly.
"I'm sorry if it hurts you," I murmured.
He nodded and squeezed my hand with a slight, pained smile. I gently took the swabs from his head and saw that the bleeding had subsided somewhat. I took a bandage roll and some new swabs, placed them on the wound and began to slowly wrap the roll around his head. I kept lifting him gently to wrap the bandage around it. When I was done, I gently secured it with a couple of Band-Aids and put the rest away. Erik slowly sat up and I came back to him. I took his hand and together we went into the living room and sat down on the sofa.
"Are you okay, angel?", I asked him, looking at him with concern.
"I'm fine. Just a little exhausted," he replied.
"Get some rest, Erik. I'll watch the kids," I said to him.
He smiled slightly and then lay down on the sofa with the injured side of his head up. I gently put the sofa blanket over him and made sure he wasn't cold. I then kissed him on his disfigured cheek and lips, and then gently caressed them.
"Sleep in peace. I'll be here if you need anything. Just call me."
"Thank you, Louise. I love you," he breathed.
"I love you too, Erik."
Then he snuggled into the blanket and closed his eyes. I smiled and quietly left the room to check on my children. I found them both in the music room, gazing at the piano.
"Mommy? Where's Papa?" asked Josy, running to me.
"Daddy's not doing so well right now. He laid down in the living room. That's why we need to be a little quiet, okay?"
The siblings nodded and looked very worried. They were only two years old but you could clearly see that they loved Erik to death.
"Do you want to go to the library and maybe read a book?", I asked them both.
They nodded again and quietly we made our way, which would lead through the living room. I quietly opened the door and the children saw their father. Their eyes became moist and immediately they ran to him. I followed them and saw them take his hand in their little hands. It was such a sweet gesture. In fact, I saw Erik's lips lift slightly. The sofa was wide and long enough and my children snuggled up to him. Erik opened one eye, smiled and pulled his children close to him. I smiled, blew Erik a kiss, which he returned, and then walked into the library as I watched his eyes close again. Leaving the three of them alone, I made myself comfortable in the library with a book and began to read. I was drawn into the spell of the book and had soon forgotten the time.
When I looked up from the book again, I saw that 3 hours had actually passed. I yawned slightly, got up, put the book away and made my way to the living room. There lay my Erik, eyes open, looking at his still sleeping children. He looked up when I entered and held out his hand to me. I walked up to him, took it and kissed it. He smiled and I squatted down next to the couch.
"How are you feeling?", I asked him.
"I'm feeling better already. But I think I'll leave the bandage on a little longer in case it bleeds a little more. But I'm really feeling better already."
"That's very nice. I'm glad you're feeling better. And your children will be very happy about that, too."
And sure enough, we saw our children have their eyes open and looking at their father. Immediately they snuggled up to him and Erik put his arms around them both.
"We love you, Daddy," Jere murmured.
"I love you too, my angels," Erik breathed back.
I put my hand around Erik's shoulder and the other around my children and hugged my whole family.
"I love you all very much," I murmured.
I felt a kiss from Erik on the top of my head and my kids snuggled up to me.
"What do we want to do, angel?" asked Erik, resting his chin on my head.
"I don't know. Depends on how you feel," I replied.
"Better. Maybe play the piano a little. What do you think?"
"I'd like that. And I think the kids would, too."
My husband looked at his children and saw that they were beaming at him. He returned the smile and slowly sat up. Josy crawled onto his lap and looked at her father. Then she put her hand on his disfigured cheek.
"Are you okay, Daddy?" she asked sweetly.
Erik nodded, smiled, and put his hand on her small one.
"Yes, angel. I'm better already."
Then she stretched out her arms and Erik lifted her into his arms. Josy snuggled up to her father and I lifted Jere up. Together we went into the music room and Erik sat down at the piano. I sat my son on my lap, just as Erik did with Josy. Then he started playing a quiet, soft melody and I leaned on his shoulder while Jere snuggled up to mine. My husband started singing the music of the night and I smiled. He looked at me and his bloated lips lifted into a loving smile. Jere looked at him and grinned. His sister also looked at her father and smiled at him too. As Erik softly let the song fade out, I leaned over and kissed him on the lips. He returned the kiss and I felt him smile into the kiss. Josy climbed up a little and pressed a wet kiss to her father's cheek. Jere stretched out his arms and Erik took him in his arms as well. His son reached up and gave a wet kiss on his deformity as well. Erik's eyes grew moist and he kissed his daughter and son on the cheek as well. His children laughed and pressed against him.
"Nap time?" he asked, and the siblings nodded.
He got up and went up to their room with both of them in his arms. He dressed them both in their night clothes and put them in their beds. He gave them both a kiss on the forehead, left the room and came back to me. I opened my arms and he snuggled up to me.
"How are you, dear?", I asked him, gently touching the bandage on his head.
He hissed and flinched back.
"I'm sorry, angel. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"No, it's all right. I'm still a little sore. And it's uncomfortable."
"Oh, angel. I'm so sorry this happened."
"Louise, look at me," he said, lifting my chin so I could see into his deformed face.
"Yes?", I breathed shyly.
"It's not your fault, Louise. I should have taken care of it myself. I know that area of my head is very sensitive. But still, I would never want to trade the experience with my children. I love them too much for that. And you too. More than anything, I love you. Please don't blame yourself for me hurting myself. Because I can't bear to see you blaming yourself for something that was my fault. Please don't worry anymore, angel."
At the end of his speech, tears ran down my cheeks. I let out a sob and threw myself into his arms. He held me tightly and hugged me to him. I shivered against his body and he pressed me closer.
"Louise," he breathed, "it's all right. Please don't worry anymore."
I sniffled and nodded. He broke away from me and gently brushed the tears from my cheeks.
"Come on, my dear. Shall we get some sleep too?"
I nodded again and together we went upstairs to our bedroom. We changed our clothes and snuggled together in bed. Then we kissed again and fell asleep.
