Corporate Wife

"Am I supposed to know him?" Harry whispered in her ear.

"He's the President of the Board for this charity. His name is Stevens Burbage, his wife is the one that actually runs the show though; she shows up for all the board meetings in his name and 'relays his requests'," Ginny told him.

"Then why isn't she named President?"

"Because he is the one that comes from money and had the right surname at birth."

"Well, she's got the surname now, why don't they just accept that she's the one in charge?"

"It's just one of those unspoken things."

"This is ridiculous."

"This whole society stuff is ridiculous," Sirius agreed. "But it is what it is. This is just how things get done. Burbage, the male one, runs a hedge fund and doesn't have time to attend any charity meetings, but it was him that was named President and there's nothing to be done about it."

"So, what's the wife's name?" Harry asked him. "Am I supposed to know that?"

"Don't bother," Sirius told Ginny, waving her off as she was about to tell her husband. "She'll be more flattered if you just call her Mrs. Burbage," he told Harry.

That was true, Ginny agreed silently. She still got a small thrill when people called her Mrs. Potter.

"How long do we have to stay here?" Harry asked. "I'd rather be home with Jamie."

That got Ginny grinning. It hadn't taken long after the wedding for him to ask her when she wanted to start having children, and coming from a family the size of hers, she was ready for it as soon as he asked. And it didn't take long for her to get pregnant either. He waited until two months after they said 'I do' to ask her, a month later she was already having to switch to decaf coffee.

She was still on maternity leave from the company they both still worked at together. Jamie was eight months old and she had another three months before she had to go back to work. Their son had just figured out crawling recently and Harry loved coming home from work and shuffling around on the floor with him, or laying on his back and looking up at the playmat mobile with him, feeding him, basically anything with him. And Ginny loved watching it happen because that was when she was able to nap or take a long shower, or get food made without interruption. Plus, it was incredibly cute watching Harry and Jamie together, they were the spitting images of each other save for the eyes.

She needed more nights out with her husband though. She needed to get used to not seeing Jamie for long periods of time before she went back to work otherwise she'd wind up crying at her desk for her first full day back because she missed him so much.

Right now they had Lily watching Jamie, and her mother-in-law was glad they asked on two counts; first was that it meant she got to spend more time with her first grandson, second was because the torch for representing the Potter family at these functions could start getting passed back and forth between the two generations.

Harry hadn't attended any events like this since he was seventeen because Lily had stopped making her son go when it was apparent that he held no interest and couldn't for the life of him remember who he was supposed to remember, or start up a conversation with anyone in and around his vicinity.

With her by his side, however, that meant she got to be the social butterfly and get firsthand insight into what was going to be in the tabloids the next day and she could direct her husband into a conversation with someone he would enjoy talking to about something he would enjoy talking about.

It was amusing to her how he found her own enjoyment of getting dolled up for these kinds of functions mind boggling.

Lily enjoyed that part when it came to these events too, it was the people that she needed to associate with that she had the problem with. And for the first few events Lily had let Ginny raid her closet for appropriate dresses and accessories; Ginny had felt like a princess when she was playing dress up in Lily's closet. Her mum had never had a lot of fancy dresses or shoes for her to get dressed up in and her friends closets weren't stuffed with anything near as fancy as what Lily had. Now that Ginny was officially a Potter she had a handful of her own dresses on reserve as well and every time she saw them she would stare in amazement at them from time to time because they were hers.

It was a big adjustment, marrying into money.

"We can leave in an hour, how about that?" she offered Harry.

"We've already been here for an hour," he reasoned.

"Harry," his father cut across the table in warning.

Ginny stifled her laughter. Her father-in-law knew how to play his role at these functions too, and it was amusing how he still scolded his brilliant son as though he was a child sometimes.

Ginny enjoyed scolding him too, but that was usually in the form of swatting him on the bum, not something she could do in a place like this.

The senior Potter noticed her mirth and narrowed his eyes at her like she was his new target, which she was game for. "Yes?" she asked.

"You know, Lily is looking to take a step back from a charity board or two, some that we should really have a member of the Potter family sitting on."

This wasn't the first time he'd brought this up.

"And are you thinking she should simply pretend to be my mouthpiece, like the Burbage's over there?" Harry asked his father, nodding in the wrong direction towards a table that held a man wearing a similar suit to the actual Mr. Burbage who was across the room.

"No. Lily fully owns speaking for herself. And there is no way I would want to convince a strong woman like your wife to speak for anyone but herself."

"Well, his wife is saying 'no'. She has a job she will be getting back to in a few short months and doesn't want to spend any extra time away from your grandson than she has to."

"You don't need to work," James reminded her.

Her jaw clenched every time he said it. She picked up a fork and held it like a weapon. "Say that again, I dare you."

"Children," Sirius cut across them, only half paying attention because the ex-wife of the undersecretary to the Minister of Finance was eyeing him from across the room and she was dressed like a fishing lure, all shiny.

James' eyes were twinkling with amusement. She knew he liked that she wanted to work, he liked that she came from a large family and he liked that she had worked her way up to the position she had with the company she and Harry worked for before she left for maternity leave.

He wasn't the only person that had either asked or assumed that she wouldn't go back to work. The Potter family was rich. Actually, they were what rich people hoped to become. But Harry worked, he'd gone through university and earned his doctorate in engineering, and no one asked him if he wanted to step back from the working world and raise their son and join charities. She wanted the same courtesy extended to her.

"She and I have talked extensively about this," Harry told his father. "When our childcare bills become more than her salary, that's when she'll consider staying at home. And when that happens, I'll still have to pay her in massages."

Harry was distracted by the buffet when he said this, so he didn't catch the exasperated look she gave him. She didn't need James knowing that part! That meant that he'd tell Lily that and then she'd start asking when she was going to have more grandchildren.

She and Lily had gotten really close since they first met and Lily had confided in her that she'd desperately wanted to have more children but hadn't been able to. Meanwhile, Ginny came from a large family and the last time she went to the doctor's office they'd suggested she get back on birth control unless she was ready for baby number two.

The second reason she had wished her husband hadn't shared that is because Sirius heard the bit about massages and turned his attention away from the fish-lure looking ex-wife to focus on Ginny with a cheeky grin on his face.

"What kind of massages are we talking about?" He then proceeded to waggle his eyebrows.

Mistake or not, she wasn't going to back down from a Sirius Black innuendo challenge. "Whatever kind I'm in the mood for," she winked.

Now her husband pulled his attention away from the buffet and back on her. "What?" he asked innocently.

She just grinned at him. "Nothing, darling. Just saying how much I love you." Then she leaned closer to him so she could whisper in his ear. "And your tongue."

There was a thud as the drink Harry was holding in his hand slipped through his grip and dropped an inch through the air to land on the table.

"Oi! No coming onto him in our presence!" Sirius protested.

"You started it," she countered. "Come on, care to spin me around the dance floor? It'll make the next hour fly by faster," she asked Harry.

"Have I mentioned how nice you look in that dress?" Harry asked her as they started into the second turn around the floor.

"Not with your words," she grinned. One of the parts she liked best about getting dressed up for these functions was the look on Harry's face when she exited the bedroom after deeming herself ready. He would always stare at her in appreciation for a few seconds, and the longer he looked at her stupidly the better she knew she looked. Tonight he'd been looking at her for several seconds before giving her a dopey smile, then Jamie spit up all down his front and the moment was over.

"And how long do you think it will be when we get home for me to be able to tell you again, without my words, how much I like the effort you put into looking how you do tonight?"

"Hmm, well, between thanking your mother, hoping Jamie is asleep, or putting Jamie to sleep, then needing a snack. Well, I'll probably have undone a lot of this by the time we get to be alone together," she reasoned.

"Well, that seems such a waste." He took a look around the ballroom they were in as he spun her around slowly. "Think there's someplace around here that we could sneak off to?"

Ginny couldn't believe what she'd just heard! He was not one to make a suggestion like that! She had always been the one to initiate anything out in public. She could recall how wanton she'd gotten during her pregnancy, one time she'd essentially dragged Harry into her office and made him bend her over the copy machine. There was another time before that when they were newly engaged and she'd gone down on him from under his desk, that one had taken a while because he was so paranoid that someone would know exactly what was going on from the expressions he was making and couldn't quite lose himself in the sensations. The only time outside of the office was on their wedding day between the ceremony and the reception when they had only ten minutes to kill before the photographer needed them. She'd been very glad she hadn't gone for a poufy dress because it would have been near impossible to fit it into the tiny bathroom he'd shagged her against the door in.

Now he wanted to find some secluded place around here and have a romp?

It being the first time he had suggested they get it on in a public place, she wasn't going to be saying no.

"Where did you have in mind?" she purred. "Garden's outside? Slipping away to one of the offices on the second floor?"

"Garden? You'd be okay with being outside for it?" There was excitement in his voice.

She looked towards the open doors that led out to the gardens. There weren't too many people milling about out there that she could see, and the sky was dark enough that if they found the right corner then they could get away with it.

"My, it just got so warm in here, I think I could do with a small walk," she told him at a normal volume.

They were stopped a few times on their way from the dance floor to the doors to the garden and Ginny needed to greet the people that required the bit of socialization and use their names first so that Harry could pretend he hadn't forgotten who they were, and his hand was on her waist the entire time, his pinky finger sliding up and down over her panty line like he was trying to erase it and make her lose her knickers all together.

When they finally made it outside she took a look around to see if there was some place that was darker and less populated, or less likely to wind up populated. It looked like most of the guests were sticking to the pathways, and in her heels, she didn't blame them.

"Looks like we could choose anywhere off the path and be good to go," Harry said under his breath.

"Security cameras?"

They both took another look around. She spotted a few that were mounted on the tops of the courtyard and aimed toward the middle, and a few that were aimed in the opposite direction. None of them appeared to be timed to swivel.

Harry gripped her hand a little harder. "Come on, this way."

He didn't walk too fast but it was obvious that he was on a mission.

"Is this some kink of yours that you've never told me about?" she grinned.

"It might be one of the things I've fantasized about doing with you before." He had them tucked away behind two tall shrubs and against one of the exterior walls. He kissed her then and started tugging up the skirt on her dress.

"Don't get too carried away with the kissing," she teased. "We couldn't possibly go back in there with my lipstick all over your lips, now can we?"

"I think you were saying something about me massaging you with my tongue earlier?"

She let out a fake gasp. "You were listening!"

He dropped down onto his knees so quickly that her eyes went wide with surprise, then he had her one leg up over his shoulder just as quickly. "Keep an eye out, will you?" he muttered against her sex.

It was going to be difficult for her eyes to stay open, let alone focus on anyone that might be coming toward them. Oh! Particularly now that he'd slipped her knickers to the side and planted his tongue flat against her sex! It was such wild behavior for him! If this was some kink that he'd been keeping secret from her then he certainly shouldn't have. Shagging him outside a bedroom or their flat was exciting enough, but being out in public where they could get caught any moment was turning her on much more than she could have expected.

The way he was going at her as well! He was grabbing her arse with one hand and kept running his hand up and down her front under her dress and grabbing at her breast.

Every few moments she gained enough peace of mind to open her eyes and check that no one was coming but what she really wanted to do was keep her eyes closed and focus on cumming herself.

She reached down and gripped his hair just hard enough to get him to focus more on applying the right amount of pressure, yet when she did so he pulled back and let her leg drop back down.

"Harry, what?"

"Shh," he hushed her, then she heard the unmistakable sound of him undoing his trousers.

Ah, that's how he planned on finishing her off, she grinned. She grasped at the skirt of her dress to make sure it wouldn't rip or get caught if he was going to be overly eager, which he was, his hand went to her thigh again to pull it up over his hip and then she felt the tip of his cock against her, trying to find the right angle.

"Eager, are you?" she asked.

"I so fucking love you," he grinned as he slid inside her.

"Yes," she hissed.

She tried to be as quiet as possible when she came undone by him but she couldn't tell just how loud her squeak was before she muffled it by biting down on the shoulder of his jacket. Harry didn't let up, in fact his pace picked up and as her head cleared she was able to see that there were people inspecting the gardens only twenty feet away from them.

"Cum for me Harry, you've got to cum now," she whispered in his ear. She kept repeating it as the people drew slightly closer. They were only meandering, but they were now meandering only about fifteen feet away from them. Now they were two feet closer, now another two feet closer.

They were only just over five feet away when she felt Harry tense up and release at the same time, she had to bite her lip to stop herself from laughing at how close they had gotten to being overheard. "Quietly as possible now," she whispered to him. "I need you to keep holding onto my leg as you slide out so I can adjust my knickers. We've got company but they haven't spotted us yet."

There was a bit of noise made by him as he was doing up his trousers, but they managed to not attract the attention of their encroachers. And now that she didn't have the blood pounding in her ears or the adrenaline running through her veins, well, a bit of the adrenaline was still there, but she could now overhear some of the conversation.

"Why do you keep making us come to the functions with those people? I feel like every time we're in the same room with the Potter family everyone is laughing at us," a woman was saying.

"We aren't going to rebuild our image by shying away from them, are we?" replied a man's voice. "It had been years since that whole debacle was found out."

"And it wouldn't have ever been found out if that idiot of a son of yours would have been more careful about which project he was bringing to us," another man said angrily. "My new wife was hoping to be on the board of the museums charity and now she won't stop whining about it."

"If you would have picked a woman with more class then you wouldn't be stuck with that problem. Don't put your poor choices on our son."

Ginny looked over at Harry to see if he was picking up on any of this. It was obvious from the way he was standing that he was hearing what was being said.

They were talking about them, and she had an idea of what they were talking about, and who they were.

The older couple would be Draco Malfoy's parents, and the younger one, well, she'd wished she wouldn't recognize his voice after this many years, but it was Tom Riddle the Third. She'd heard he got married to a piece of arm candy. It gave her a small thrill of delight to hear he was stuck in an unsatisfying marriage. Her fingers were crossed that he would soon have a very pricy divorce.

Another two people were headed over in their direction, on one hand she was disappointed because it meant that there might be a crowd lingering, and she wanted to get to a loo so she could freshen up, but on the other hand she did want to hear more about how the rest of society were treating the Malfoy's and the Riddle's after their failed espionage attempt.

"Lucius Malfoy?"

Ginny gave a start at the sound of her brother Percy's voice. She didn't know that he was going to be in attendance tonight! That meant that Audrey was the woman with him! And Audrey could keep things to herself!

"Ah, I thought that was you. I saw you out of the corner of my eye and remembered that I had been asked to inform you that the Minister for Transport will not be able to meet with you next week, he has been called away."

"Ah, called away again, has he?" Lucius asked in the most forced polite voice Ginny had ever heard. "My goodness, he does seem to be away quite a bit."

"Not really. Though, somehow he does find reason to be called away when certain people simply refuse to go through the correct channels," Percy replied with an equally saccharine tone.

"Excuse you," Mrs. Malfoy scoffed at him. "We are British aristocracy. We shouldn't have to go through the same channels as everyone else."

"You used to be aristocracy," Audrey corrected her. "Your name isn't worth much now. Perhaps that is something you should work on."

Mentally, Ginny was giving her sister-in-law a high-five.

"Weasley's, aren't you?" Tom asked them. "Yes, I remember you."

"I'm surprised," Percy said, "the number of people you've screwed and screwed over in the manner in which you conduct your business and you can manage to remember a surname such as ours?"

"Careful now," Tom told him, "I happen to recall a few things your sister told me and I know there are a few people in your family that have a funny way of 'conducting business'. How is dear old Freddy doing nowadays?"

"He's paid less in fines and for lawyers than you have needed to, if that's what you're asking," Audrey snarked at him.

There was the sound of movement, like they were all walking away, likely in a huff.

Ginny felt Harry's hand cup her cheek, his thumb ran over her forehead, smoothing out the lines of frustration and anger that had grown deeper as the conversation they overheard had drawn on.

"I can't believe Ginny ever fell for that twats game," Audrey said.

Ginny peeked around the hedge again and saw that it was just Percy and Audrey left.

"Well, she certainly learned her lesson. She's become a bright young woman."

"So glad you approve, Perce," Ginny said, taking Harry's hand and stepping around the hedge to join the two of them.

"Ginny! Harry!" Percy gave a jump of surprise. "What were you doing back there?"

"Enjoying the foliage," Ginny told him dryly.

Audrey giggled. "Really? Here?"

"The mood struck us," Ginny grinned. "Well, it struck one of us anyhow, and who was I to refuse?"

"Ginny," Harry protested, likely turning red but she couldn't see that in the poor lighting.

"Oh, don't be ashamed," Audrey assured him. "Sometimes I wish Percy would drag me off and ravish me behind some bushes at these events."

"Audrey!" Percy scolded from his own embarrassment.

Ginny gave Harry a kiss on his cheek and then held her hand out for Audrey to take. "Care to accompany me to the loo? I need to make sure I don't look too ravished." Audrey accepted the invite and linked their arms together. "We'll meet up with you two in a bit. Percy, why don't you see if Harry can come up with any fun inventions that might make the transportation sector more energy efficient," she suggested.

She and Audrey started walking away and she heard Harry said 'come to think of it' just before they were out of earshot.

"Okay, seriously though, that was Harry's idea?" Audrey asked as she brushed off the back of Ginny's dress and fixed a few of her curls.

"I know! I was completely surprised. Suddenly I have a whole other appreciation for having to come to events like these; seeing if we can get away with a quick shag."
