"Okay. What do you want."
Like the cat who ate the cream, Neo grins widely. Emerald is as transparent as they come, and it was far too easy to find the right string to pull in order to make her come running. Sure, Neo could have just let her find her, but where's the fun in that? Besides, by making Emerald come to her instead of allowing herself to be caught, she's the one in charge in this situation.
And Neo likes to be the one holding all the cards.
Truthfully, Cinder's death doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Sure, Cinder had offered help Neo avenge Roman by killing Ruby Rose, but in reality it had been more of Neo assisting Cinder. Cinder had always been more of a hindrance than a help with anything, and if it wasn't for her persuading Roman to get involve in her schemes, he would almost certainly still be alive right now.
All in all, there's no great loss here. Neo is perfectly capable of enacting her revenge on her own, thank you very much. But, sometimes, having a minion to boss around can be helpful, especially one that's as easy to manipulate as Emerald is. All Neo has to do is say the right things and offer the right reward, and she's certain that Emerald will cooperate.
After all, Neo has the Lamp of Knowledge. And while she's not terribly interested in using it and asking the final question, she knows that Emerald definitely is. What exactly Emerald plans to learn from the lamp, Neo has no idea, but she doesn't need to know at all. She doesn't really care, so long as it's a good enough motivation for a temporary alliance between her and Emerald.
"I appreciate your enthusiasm," she types into her scroll, smirking as she pictures Emerald's enraged response. The girl is so easy to wind up. "If you want to get your hands on the lamp, let's find a place to meet and determine the terms of what I want in return."
With any luck, she won't have to wait long for a response. The sooner they can move against Ruby Rose, the better. That brat has managed to escape from her too many times already; Neo doesn't intend to underestimate her again. And now that the broadcast has gone out, if she waits too long, Ruby might be able to find some more allies to assist her.
Her scroll buzzes with a new message. It's Emerald, of course. "Fine. Let's get this over with. Where do you want to meet?"
Yes, Neo agrees. They should get this done with. Roman has waited far too long for his revenge already. Neo won't fail him this time.
