The water eases through the wood
and into the rest of the pond,
slowly, methodically, in rhythm,
and Shirayuki feels a little out of her element
in this zen garden,
hand faintly outstretched
But she knows,
when Zen joins her,
she won't be left alone like a visitor
to her own life,
but rather emboldened to be a companion
even if life after the vows got a bit busier - albeit in new ways
she is grateful for it,
grateful to be with Zen,
grateful for the new discoveries to not be had alone,
but with someone who loves her
just as much as she loves him.
