It was time for the first Princess Party when all the kingdoms' princesses gathered together to compete and see if they had what it took to be crowned the best at a specific activity.
The Sunny Kingdom had the honor of hosting the first event but unfortunately, their primary princesses were nowhere to be found.
"FINE-SAMA! REIN-SAMA!"
Camelot and the rest of the staff were running all over the place trying to find the two wayward little princesses. King Truth and Queen Elsa met up with each other, both having also been searching for their daughters.
"Anything, Elsa?"
"They're nowhere to be found, Truth." The queen sighed to her husband in worry.
"I wonder where they went off to."
"Mom, Dad, what's up?" A familiar boyish voice came as the King and Queen looked up to see one of their five sons, Nagare, and Karma right beside him. Both boys also happened to be on the ceiling like Spider-Man.
The Quintuplet Princes of the Sunny Kingdom were all now 18 years old and practically heartthrobs in the royal community. Nagare, for his compassion, Karma, for his charming wit, Edgar for his cool brilliance, Apollo for his strong protectiveness, and Fraost for his strong silent demeanor.
"We can't seem to find Fine or Rein anywhere. And they were really looking forward to meeting the other Princesses."
"Don't worry, Edgar's keeping track of 'em." Karma chuckled, only to lose his grip and hit the floor. "I'M OKAY!"
Nagare sighed and jumped down to help his twin to his feet before bowing to his parents
"We'll find 'em, don't worry!" With that, the two boys quickly ran off.
-WONDER PLANET-
"Look, look, Rein."
"Everyone is coming, Fine."
Fine and Rein were now 8 years old and currently standing on one of the scaffoldings to greet the coming Princesses of the other kingdoms. Fine was hopping up and down excitedly while Rein was waving.
Fine had her red hair tied up in loose pigtails with gold rings and wore a red hat, a cherry blossom coat, a short red skirt, white stockings, and a pair of pink boots. As for Rein, her blue hair was loose with a gold ring tied at the end and wore a blue top hat, a light blue coat, a short blue skirt, white stockings, and a pair of blue boots.
"There you are!" Came a familiar scolding voice as the girls turned to see Edgar there along with Apollo and Fraost.
"Everyone is worried sick, you two!" Apollo gently chastised.
"How did you even get up here?" Fraost asked, genuinely intrigued; the girls were energetic and eager, but coordinated. Not so much.
As if to prove this point, they suddenly lost their balance in shock at their brother's surprise arrival.
"FINE!"
Edgar, while worried, steeled himself and reached out for his sister, who suddenly began to rise back up. Glancing up, she felt and saw a small ocean-blue aura around her. She smiled, elated her big brother was here.
Apollo followed suit, grabbing Rein as she fell. Fraost quickly grabbed and pulled the two up.
"…You just can't stay out of trouble, can you?" The gentle giant asked, a small smile overtaking his face. The twins looked down in sadness and regret, but this vanished when they were taken into a group hug.
"Thank you, big brothers." The Twins cooed, making said brothers smile as they returned the hug. A minute later, the embrace was broken, and the boys gave their sisters a look over.
"That's it. You're not going to the party." Edgar said with finality.
"What?! Why?!" The Twins shouted.
"You're too cute! Someone will take you from us!" Apollo responded, hugging the twins.
"Hey, don't hog them!" Edgar snarled.
"We just had the group hug…" Fraost pointed out, pulling them apart as the arrivals began to disembark.
"Princess Lione-Sama!"
Everyone turned to see the Flame Kingdom's airship open its bay hatch as a small figure flew out of it. Edgar looked closer to see it was a girl riding a scooter carried by a glider.
"Princess Lione?" Fine questioned.
"She came out of the Flame Kingdom's Airship," Rein noted.
"I wonder what's going on."
The twin princesses and their three older brothers watched as the scooter flew through one of the open windows that led into the courtyard.
"She's going inside!" Rein said.
"Well, you girls wanted to meet your fellow princesses, now here's your chance." Apollo chuckled.
Fraost silently sent a telepathic message to Nagare and Karma quickly telling them they'd found Fine and Rein and were heading to the courtyard.
"Nagare and Karma will be joining us shortly; Karma bonked his head…. again."
Some light giggling filled the room.
"Then let's make haste!" Edgar said, picking up Fine while Apollo picked up Rein. The three brothers then dashed off in different colored blurs. Edgar was ocean blue, Apollo was bright silver, and Fraost was deep purple.
"Be back in time for the party!" Truth called out to his children as they dashed past him and Elsa.
"OKAY!"
"Hey, wait for us, jerks!" Nagare called out as he and Karma zipped after them in golden and crimson blurs respectively.
"Hey, Fine! Hey, Rein!" Karma cooed with a happy chuckle his sisters returned. "Pay no attention to the bandages!"
Zooming down to the courtyard, the Twin Princesses and Quintuplet Princes looked around for the girl on the flying scooter when they heard a cry of alarm above them and turned to see her coming down toward them.
"Out of the way!"
Yelping, the Sunny Siblings made a run for it as the girl tried to stop her scooter.
"Please! Out of the way!"
"Easier said!" Fine and Rein cried.
The scooter soon contacted the ground and flipped the girl off of it. Karma skidded to a stop and spun around before holding his arms out to catch the girl safely, giving everyone a better look at what she looked like.
She had long, straight, orange hair tied into a ponytail and round, orange eyes. Her choice of attire included a white ribbon to support her ponytail and a white tiara studded with a small blue gem. Her dress was light orange at the top and white at the bottom printed with many flames. The sleeves were puffy and she wore long, white gloves. At the end of her dress were light orange frills. She also seemed to have a pair of tiger ears coming out of her head.
"Just dropping in?" Karma asked with his usual charming grin, causing the girl to look at him with a blush on her cheeks.
Setting the girl down, she dusted off her dress and hastily curtsied to the Sunny Siblings.
"Thank you for saving me. I am the Princess of the Flame Kingdom, Princess Lione. And you are?"
"The Princesses and Princes of the Sunny Kingdom!" Fine and Rein introduced their brothers.
"Nagare..." The sane one gave a bow as he dragged his twin beside hi,
"Karma..." The happy one gave a two-finger salute
"Edgar..." The genius nodded in response
"Apollo..." The warrior stood at attention.
"...And Fraost." The gentle giant simply nodded.
"WE ARE THE QUINTUPLET PRINCES! THE SHINING STARS THAT DAZZLE THE HEARTS OF LONELY MAIDENS!"
The five brothers all posed like they were in a Tokusatsu show. Fine and Rein simply did a twirl each, followed by a step curtsey.
"Princess Rein."
"Princess Fine."
Lione gasped as she recognized the twins. "Then, you two are the ones said to be the most un-princess-like princesses since the beginning of the Mysterious Star."
The room instantly screeched to silence before one could hear the world's smallest violin begin to play. Lione then gulped when she realized how upset Fine and Rein looked at those words and bowed in apology. The brothers, for their part, just laughed.
"Yeah, you're not too far off the mark, girlfriend!" Nagare chortled.
"These two troublemakers certainly make things interesting," Apollo remarked, messing with Fine and Rein's hair and getting them to smile.
"Never a dull day with them and we love them for it," Fraost said with a smile on his face.
This took the Flame Princess by surprise: They didn't care? Why?
"H-How can you be so calm? So content? We are royalty! The citizens look up to and depend on us, we NEED to be perfect! If you not….?!" Lione, shaken to the core, began to feel tears swell up in her eyes. "What good is a princess who can't dance?"
Lione then covered her mouth when she realized what she had said.
A hush fell over the group
"…So?" Edgar asked, breaking the silence.
All turned to him as if he had sprouted another head.
"I mean, yes, as royalty, we are expected to be the best at many things to lead our people when the time comes….but we're also mortal. And not all mortals, not even the greatest of them, can often do everything. I mean look at me: I'm smarter than anyone in my kingdom but have trouble connecting to others."
"I am strong but have trouble putting my thoughts into words," Fraost said.
"I'm probably the greatest warrior in Sunny Kingdom but unless I'm with my brothers or sisters? I can't lead or follow orders." Apollo mentioned.
"And on the dancing thing?" Karma said, suddenly breaking into a break dance and continuing as he spoke. "Yeah, it's hard! But here's something mom and dad told me: If you want to, dancing is an escape and expression! Forget what people say, just dance however you feel!"
"You say that while doing moves no one else can," Nagare said, a sly smile on his face, turning to Lione. "Your majesty? I understand your concern, I do. But in all fairness? You're too young to worry about that; you're a kid still; so enjoy yourself. And if you need help? Come and see us. Fine and Rein could use a friend, if nothing else."
Lione cleared the tears from her eyes and smiled.
"Thank you, Prince Nagare."
Nagare smiled.
"Well, my brothers need some thanks too…"
"Lione-Sama! Lione-Sama!" Cried the voices of the Flame Kingdom subordinates.
"They're looking for me. Later." Lione then headed off as the Sunny Siblings smiled.
"Isn't it great, Lione became happier," Fine said.
"Well, your big brothers do have something of a talent for brightening the lives of adorable princesses." Nagre smiled.
"Yes. It's time for us to get ready for the party." Rein said.
"Word on that!" Karma said. "I don't wanna miss those canapes!"
Suddenly, a suspicious light caught the seven siblings' attention as they turned to see it was coming from the elevator area. Fine nervously hugged Nagare as he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Let's go."
The brothers and Fine looked at Rein in surprise but soon Fraost and Edgar nodded and headed forward.
"Don't worry, we'll protect you, girls," Karma reassured as he held Rein's hand while Nagare held Fine's. Apollo, Edgar, and Fraost formed a protective triangle as they all headed into the elevator and found themselves going down into some golden field.
"Man, I didn't know we had a place like this in our basement!" Karma noted as he looked around.
"We don't have a basement, idiot. What kind of castle has a basement?" Edgar pointed out.
"Well, they have cellars..." Nagare shrugged.
"It's warm here..." Rein noted as she looked around the field.
"Yeah, it's cozy." Fine added.
"This is the center of the Blessing of the Sun."
The siblings turned to see a breathtaking beautiful girl, dressed in the robes of royalty, smiling at them.
"Hello, children. I am Princess Grace."
Apollo gasped
"Our great, great, great, great, great, great….!"
"YES! WE KNOW!" Edgar snapped, bringing Apollo to a grovel.
"Rise, children." Grace chuckled. "My time is limited and there is much to tell you. A shame: you seem to have grown up quite well."
"Your grace…Wait, your name is Grace…this is going to be confusing…" Karma realized, getting a slap from Nagare.
"Please ignore my idiot twin and continue, Your Majesty." He begged with a grimace and sweatdrop. "Whatever can we do to help you?"
"The power of the Blessing of the Sun is going out," Grace explained, rather bluntly but still with kindness and concern. "Whatever tales you have been told is only the half-truth; I did indeed ensure the blessing, but it was to keep out a great evil who will soon threaten the kingdoms. While much time has passed since my last hour, I know the evil has not waned and will need to be bested. Having foreseen this, I arranged for, when the time came, five guardians to be born to protect the royals who would face this great evil. I had hoped one would go to each kingdom, but to see you grown up as siblings…Well, I will not lie and say it warms my heart. Especially since the two little ones before you seem to be destined to end what I could not….and not in the way I tried, either."
A silence fell over the room.
"So, just to make it clear…" Nagare began.
"The star that powers our worlds is dying…." Apollo followed.
"Our precious little sisters are the key to saving the Blessing…" Fraost continued.
"The five of us were born with the powers we've had our whole lives to keep them and the other royal families and citizens safe…" Edgar began to wrap up.
"And we're about to go on an around-the-galaxy adventure, the likes of which has never been seen, where we'll encounter danger, villains, beasts, and potentially even love?!" Karma wrapped up eagerly as Grace nodded.
"I believe this will be a difficult path, but you must overcome it and save the Mysterious Star." Princess Grace said as she held out her hands, golden light manifesting before floating to Fine and Rein. "Please accept these Sunny Luches."
"Wow! So cute!" Fine and Rein gushed when they saw the lights manifested into compacts for both of them.
"From now on, Poomo and Piale will assist you. I believe in all of you."
Princess Grace glowed with bright light but Karma still had some questions.
"Wait! We need to know something first! Who is the source of the darkness?!"
All Grace could say before the light engulfed the Sunny Siblings was three words that sent shivers down their spines.
"Beware...Velhallen Beo."
When the light died down, the seven siblings found themselves back in the courtyard.
"Okay, what kind of mushrooms did you pick last night when we made pizza, Karma?" Apollo said as he rubbed his eyes.
"I swear they looked normal!"
Fine and Rein noticed they still had their Sunny Luches, realizing it wasn't some dream or hallucination. However, they were still curious about the 'Poomo' and 'Piale' characters Grace mentioned.
"Hey, was that music box always there?" Nagare noted as the Sunny Siblings noticed there was indeed a music box there. It slowly opened up and a little fairy creature came out of it.
He was colored white with purple eyes, big ears, a long tail with an orb on the end, a little tuft of blond hair showing on his forehead from under his hat, and pink cheeks. He wore a purple bow tie, 2 blue star-shaped earrings, and a pointy, blue hat with an orange sun on the top with a magenta jewel in the middle with gold decorations.
A golden light came out beside him before manifesting into a slender female humanoid fairy with dark yellow skin, orange hair, elf-like ears, a thin antenna with a glowing speck at the end, and skirt-like tufts on her hips.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Poomo-Pumo!" The white fairy introduced himself.
"I'm Piale! Nice to meetcha!" The yellow fairy girl introduced herself next, flying out and spinning around the princes, leaving behind trails of beautiful ember-like dust.
"Whoa! She's like Tinker Bell!" Karma said as Piale landed on his finger when he held it out.
"Believe me, I get that a lot. It's a pleasure to meet you, Elemental Warriors!"
"To serve you beautiful and intelligent princesses is an honor-Pumo," Poomo said to Fine and Rein.
This caused the five princes to pause as soon as those words left the little fairy's mouth.
"Intelligent...d-did you say...I-Intelli..." Edgar burst out into hysterical laughter followed by Nagare, Karma, and Apollo. Fraost had a small smile of mirth of his own.
"Beautiful, you are correct but intelligent...yeah, I don't think you'll find them making snap decisions anytime soon."
"Hey!" Both Fine and Rein pouted.
"So, what do you guys need from us? Just say the word and we'll help out in any way we can!" Piale said with a cute salute.
"Well, I think Fine and Rein would like to know more about this Prominence stuff that Princess Grace just finished telling us," Nagare said, squatting down to put his hands gently on both his little sisters' shoulders.
"Very well-Pumo!" Poomo said with a nod as he folded his arms. "I will teach you now-Pumo."
Fine and Rein leaned in with interest, nodding their heads as they prepared to soak up every word.
"…Has everyone else forgotten about the party?" Apollo asked suddenly.
-WONDER PLANET-
Meanwhile, A small glob of dark ooze had slithered out of the core of the Blessing of the Sun. For too long, it had been trapped. Now, it needed to regain its strength.
Slithering away, the glob giggled in a high-pitched malicious tone as it made its escape into the unknown, planning its inevitable revenge...
-WONDER PLANET-
The Princess Party had commenced. Starting the dance were the royal siblings of the Jewelry Kingdom, Princess Altezza, and her older brother Prince Bright. The princesses of the other kingdoms could only gaze in awe at the elegance showcased between the two siblings as they danced together.
However, one certain princess was still having deep doubts, and that just so happened to be Princess Lione, who frowned as her ears drooped.
"I probably can't dance as well as Altezza can..."
Speaking of Altezza, the Jewelry Kingdom Princess couldn't help but giggle proudly to herself.
"Of course, I, Princess Altezza, will be the first Best Princess."
However, it was then that her brother stopped dancing with her, much to her confusion.
"If I were to just dance with you, it would be unfair." Bright explained. "Alright, princesses, shall we dance?"
Altezza could only pout as the other royal children hurriedly and happily began to call dances with Bright. "I can't believe you, Oniisama."
As the dances commenced, the Sunny Siblings were hurrying as fast as they could to the ballroom.
"Poomo's explanation took too long!" Fine said.
"Now we're going to be really late!" Rein said.
"Oh, we're dead! We are SOOOO dead!" Karma panicked.
"Mom and Dad are going to kill us! No, they're going to disown us, erase us from history, kill us…Then disown us again!" Edgar exclaimed.
"At least we'll have the party, no way they'd do that in broad daylight." Nagare pointed out.
"You're being over dramatic, Oniisamas.." The Twins groaned.
"It's one of our better qualities!" Apollo argued.
"No, it's not."
"Are they always like this?" Piale asked Fraost, getting a nod from the gentle giant.
Two guards at the door noticed the siblings and hurriedly opened the doors for them as they came inside, only for Fine to trip and fly before being quickly caught by Nagare.
"PRESENTING…..!" One of the Sunny Kingdom advisors announced "Our Sunny Kingdom's Princess Rein-Sama, Princess Fine-Sama! Along with Prince Nagare-Sama, Karma-Sama, Edgar-Sama, Apollo-Sama, and Fraost-Sama!"
All eyes turned to the siblings, who waved and bowed to their guests.
"Terribly sorry for being fashionably late! You would not believe how hard it is to brush Rein's hair!" Edgar joked, trying to make an excuse.
"Hey! I can do my own hair, Edgar-Oniisama!" Rein pouted.
"Princess Fine."
The siblings noticed Bright approach them, causing Rein to blush and her eyes to sparkle in excitement. Unbeknownst to the girl, her brothers were glaring at the younger prince.
"Bright-Sama~~~!" Rein cooed, daydreaming of her future with Bright already in her head…before he waked right past her and offered a hand to her sister.
"Princess Fine, would you mind dancing with me?" Bright asked, offering his hand to Fine.
"Eh? Me?"
"Dance with Rein, instead. She's the more excited one." Apollo said quickly, pushing Rein in front of Bright.
"Eh...But I'm just wearing my normal clothes." Rein flustered.
"That's okay, you look wonderful, Princess Rein." Bright smiled warmly.
Rein quickly turned to Bright, her entire face going pink before she quickly took his hand and joined him on the dance floor. As they danced, Rein couldn't help but feel like she was on Cloud 9.
Unfortunately, in her excitement, she accidentally stepped on his foot and quickly backed away.
"I-I-I'm sorry! What should I do?"
Bright smiled reassuringly. "It doesn't hurt at all. You're very light, actually."
That just made Rein swoon all over as she rejoined hands with Bright and resumed dancing. As they did, Bright noticed out of the corner of his eye that Apollo was looking at him coldly and silently mouthing these words.
"Break her heart...and I DESTROY you."
Karma and Edgar quickly joined him, adding:
"And we'll help."
Nagare and Froast simply glared at the boy.
These acts left Bright honestly confused but he could understand Apollo. If anyone were to try and make a pass at Altezza, he wouldn't be happy in the slightest.
Fine had snuck off to enjoy some of the cake while the rest of the brothers watched and did their best to keep Apollo from jumping onto the dance floor and killing Bright for trying to 'seduce' Rein.
It was then that Edgar noticed Lione backing away, a nervous look on her face.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, a concerned look on his face.
"N-No, I can't..." Lione stuttered, her fear growing slightly when the largest of the Princes appeared.
"What's wrong?" Fraost asked.
"I can't dance. I know I will fail. Maybe I'll make a bigger mistake than Rein did, and Bright-Sama will hate me!"
"Hey!" Karma said as he got in front of Lione. "Don't think like that! And besides, it doesn't have to be just Bright!"
Suddenly, the lights began dimming, much to everyone's confusion and worry. Elsa silently turned to Truth.
"The power of the Blessing of the Sun, just as I thought..."
"Let's not discuss this now..." Truth said as he turned to the people in attendance. "The system that takes power from the Blessing of the Sun has had a technical difficulty. Until the system is up again, please wait."
Lione began tearing up. "Oh, the lights went out! This must be a bad omen meaning I better not dance!"
Fine and Rein looked at their friend in concern before turning to each other, already knowing what they needed to do.
"Let's try it!"
Poomo peeked out of his music box as Piale floated beside him.
"Use the Prominence just like I taught you earlier-Pumo."
"Right!"
Fine and Rein took out their Sunny Luches, opened them up, and spun the dials.
"Fan fan, Fine!"
"Ran ran, Rein!"
"Prominence Dress Up!"
Lights soon shot out of the compacts as Fine and Rein were dressed in more dazzling and fluffy dresses while their hair was done up in elegant curls. A pair of golden tiaras with the Sunny Kingdom emblem formed on their heads and a pair of scepters came out of the compacts.
Everyone stared in awe at the transformation as Fine and Rein twisted the handles of their scepters, opening up the flower bud heads and revealing glimmering crystals in their colors inside.
"Twin Twinkle Bloomish! Put the spotlight...on Lione!"
Golden glittering sparkles began forming in the sky before forming a spotlight that shined on Lione, much to her surprise.
"Lione, you can dance now!" Fine said. "Even if you fail, we won't laugh at you!"
"That's right because we're friends! Cheer up!" Rein added, motioning for her friend to take a chance.
Karma decided it was his time as he slid up to Lione and offered his hand to her, giving his signature charming smile.
"So...may I have this dance, Princess Lione?"
The Flame Kingdom Princess nodded her head, feeling a sense of determination fill her heart as she took Karma's hand.
"Thank you, Rein, Fine, Karma..."
"Edgar! Mind helping a brother out?" Karma asked as Edgar smirked and clapped his hands.
"BEHOLD! THE FUTURE OF ORCHESTRA!" Edgar cackled, before adding. "Activate Music Mode."
Out of the Genius Prince's room came a drone that flew straight into the ballroom and then flipped over to reveal a DJ turntable. Edgar then flipped open a phone-like device and began searching through songs before finding the right one and selecting it, giving Karma a thumbs-up.
(Play Bamboleo by Gipsy King)
As Karma began dancing with Lione, the spotlight shone brightly on them.
"I can't let that idiot have all the fun!" Nagare gasped before composing himself. He then made his way to Princess Mirlo of the Waterdrop Kingdom, gently escorting her to the dance floor, making the spotlight split into two.
Edgar, not to be outdone by his 'lesser-minded' brothers, took Princess Sophie of the Windmill Kingdom to the floor.
Putting on a friendly but dashing smile, Apollo whisked Altezza off her feet, giving the Princess of the Jewelry Kingdom a pleasant surprise.
"He's surprisingly graceful."
Since he was the tallest of the Princes (and also not wanting to look out of place from his brothers) Fraost began dancing with Princess Milky of the Moon Kingdom and the 11 Princesses of the Seed Kingdom, a small sweet smile on his face as the tiny Seed Princesses danced on his arms while he held hands with Milky, the youngest Princess just having a good time swinging around on her floating star.
Bright smiled as he and the rest of the people in attendance followed the music and the dancing of the Sunny Princes and their chosen Princesses.
"Prince Nagare, Prince Karma, Prince Edgar, Prince Apollo, Prince Fraost, you five are truly inspiring..."
Bright was not alone in being amazed at the boys: Many of the royals and servants were awe-struck not only by their kind natures but the way they moved so seamlessly and fluidly with their dance partners. Truly, fine gentlemen and future kings to be, regardless of the rumors.
Yes, the rumors.
Truth and Elsa were aware that many, in hushed tones, found their sons to be…odd, in certain manners: Unlike many other nobles who secretly worried and struggled with their duties, they appeared carefree and relaxed. In all honesty, this was something all young royals did, but there was one rumor that gave the King and queen pause and some worry:
Some thought that the boys being such loving siblings to their sisters and spending so much time with sisters, was unbecoming: While many women saw this as a sign the boys were prime husband material, many others saw this as enabling the twins, a sign of weakness.
Truth and Elsa trusted their children, but they knew they needed to have a chat about that
But for now? They would enjoy each other's company as they danced with each other, their son's music making the party even better than they had planned.
-WONDER PLANET-
Lione ended up being crowned the Best Princess, something which surprised many. However, all were good sports and praised the girls, especially the twins. The Princes each thanked their respective dance partners for a lovely evening as the party drew to a close, each escorting them to their transport as Truth and Elsa tucked their daughters in.
Once the guests were long on their way, Fraost pulled his parents aside.
"We are sorry we were late. But we have a reason."
"A reason you might not like but need to hear," Apollo added, inwardly afraid of what was coming next, just as the others came to join them.
"The Blessing of the Sun is…!" Karma started, only for Truth to silence his son with a raised hand and a sad smile.
"…Dying? Yes, we know." He sighed, shocking his sons. "But, how do you?"
Nagare explained what had happened to his parents, whose faces filled with worry as they heard more and more.
"For Grace herself to tell you, things must be even more dire than we dreaded…" Elsa realized. "Darling, you don't suppose?"
"Him? I pray not, but we must be prepared." Truth sighed, noticing his son's confusion. "Grace had an enemy: a powerful master of the arts dark and forbidden, along with being a peerless conqueror with no mercy. His whole name has been forgotten, all but one word: Beo."
The boys tensed at that word but then found themselves filled with determination and righteous anger.
"Whatever his name is, he's NOT touching the girls." Fraost frowned.
"Mom, Dad." Karma said, getting on his knees and postulating at his parents. "I know this is a lot, but please! I beg of you; let us go and protect our sisters…!"
"Of course." Truth and Elsa said.
"I know it's danger…wait, you're okay with this?" Karma mused.
"If YOU'RE begging and they didn't? I'd be worried." Nagare admitted, then spotting a gleam in his mother's eye.
While Truth and Elsa are reluctant/worried to do so, they allow them to go on the journey on one condition; not only do the girls grow and learn,
"On one condition!" Elsa added, making the boys pause and look up at their mother. "You five must also make friends NOT in the family…and possibly find mothers for future grandchildren."
"MOOOOOOM!" The boys shouted in aghast fear, although the blushes on their faces implied they weren't completely against the idea. Truth just chuckled, remembering how he'd gone through the same thing with his parents.
Poomo was watching from his music box along with Piale, the latter smiling and giggling while Poomo seemed a bit concerned.
"I wonder just what I've gotten myself into-Pumo."
"I think this'll be fun!" Piale beamed
-WONDER PLANET-
The black sludge that had secretly escaped the core of the Blessing of the Sun slithered through the halls of the Sunny Kingdom before slinking into a dark hole and finding itself in a small black void, where it began to slowly regain its lost power, taking a more humanoid skeletal shape.
Not far off, blackened steam emerged, which the sludge was quick to jump on
"Mmmmm, delicious. A first-class smoke." The skeleton then breathed out ash-like smoke from its unhinged jaw. "Mother's Milk."
The sludge then snuck into the castle's laboratory, where the staff monitored the Blessing of the Sun under the watchful eye of the Chief Advisor, Omendo.
"Ah, that pathetic sun...even after all these years..." The sludge skeleton scowled. "But how did I get out of it?"
"I'm afraid it was naturally weakening due to the centuries of it containing your dark energy."
A bright light made the creature flinch as he turned to see Princess Grace manifest from light, only visible to him and nobody else.
"Ah, Grace my dear." The skeleton smirked. "Come for round two?"
"Oh no, no, no." Grace waved off. "I'm just here as a…professional courtesy, you could say."
"Oh?"
"Yes. My descendants have grown quite well since our last encounter. I've already arranged things to be easier for them so, be prepared to lose again."
"Interesting…If that's the case, Gracie old girl? Methinks perhaps I should arrange some…extra tests."
With a twirl of his new hands, the newcomer fashioned what looked like a round tornado with teeth and sharp eyes within, along with the symbol of a kingdom.
"Go my minions! Rise some chaos and fear! Snuff out the light once and for all, starting with the heirs of the kingdoms!"
The tornados then flew away as the figure dissolved back into a puddle of primordial ooze and slithered off, chuckling to himself.
"Once more, your ego proves to be your undoing." Grace calmly said as she vanished into light.
Knightmare Lord A/N:
I combined the second and third chapters for this reboot. I hope it's up to code.
Considering Mrotrax's busy schedule, not all the chapters will be a billion words long like this.
