Chapter Eleven
Meanwhile…
The Craftsman…
Kim was feeling on edge, as she hadn't heard anything from her husband since he called about being stuck in traffic and that was almost two hours ago and she wanted to know what her parents were up to.
'Something's wrong, I know it.'
Her fears were confirmed when Amita rushed into the house to give her the letter that Charlie had written to her.
Kim, I am at Rourke's Cafe with a man who is part of a group that kidnapped Don and your parents. Send a car there soon, as it might be our best chance to get them back."
-Charlie
P.S. I am very sorry that you have to deal with this.
Kim just stared at the words that her brother-in-law wrote before she started to seeth in anger. Not just at her parents for all the problems they have caused her but also at the people who have taken them and she was going to do everything in her power to get them all back.
"Call Alan and let him know what is going on." She told her friend as she quickly went to the kitchen to get her phone.
She quickly called the office to let them know of the situation and that she was coming with them.
"I'm not going to stand by while my family is in danger, so like it or not, I'm going." She said after David tried to bring up conflict of interest.
"Fine." David said as they hung up, as he knew it would be pointless to argue with her and reassured her that they will get there as soon as humanly possible.
After a quick talk with Amita, who agreed to stay home to wait for Alan before Kim rushed out of the house to the restaurant, also worried about Charlie, not sure what would happen if he was alone with any of these people for too long.
'When this is over, we are all going to have a very long talk.' She thought to herself, knowing she had to get some things off her chest with her parents.
She just hoped that they would be around long enough for that talk.
