My Hero's of the Night.

Chapter 1

Strange New World

Groaning as he came to, Izuku Midoriya awoke to feeling leaves hit his face. This surprised him, as he didn't recall it calling for rain.

"That's strange, wasn't it sunny before? And didn't I just-" he was saying to himself when he noticed his surroundings.

Izuku was in a park, and a rather large one at that. It looked different from those he had visited before.

"How did I get here? Wasn't I just getting off the bus?" Nothing made any sense as the young man thought about his situation.

As he did this, a man in a gray jogging suit came running by. "Evening kid," the man said in English as passed. Hearing this, Izuku snapped out of his thought process.

"Oh hello, um sir. Could you tell me where I am?" he asked.

"Where are you? Why, you're in Central Park. One of the biggest in the world. And a landmark of New York City," the man replied with a surprised face.

"NEW YORK CITY!" shouted Izuku. He couldn't believe what he just heard.

"Whoa, easy there kid. No need to shout."

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you," Izuku gestured to the man.

"That's alright. Listen, maybe you should go find your parents. I'm sure their worried about you." Nodding to this, Izuku thanked the man for the information as he took off.

"Oh man, how am I going to explain this to Mom or All Might," Izuku wondered as he pulled out his phone. Bringing up his list of contacts, he decided to call All Might first. But instead of the call going through, all he heard was static.

"Agh, what the heck?" Looking at his phone, he saw a tag that said 'NO SERVICE AVABILE!' That puzzled him as his Mom had just paid the minutes for his phone.

He tried to call again, but the same thing happened. So he tried another contact, but got the same result. Thinking that it might need to reboot, Izuku turned his phone off, then on again. Once it was started again, he saw there was no internet signal at all.

"That's strange, I should be getting a signal. But I'm not," he thought. This was so unusual. His phone was just fine. Why wasn't it working?

"Hmm, maybe I should look for someone who can help me," he said to himself, then set off into the park. Following the pathways. Izuku saw various types of trees all around him. It looked so peaceful and calm.

"Okay, let's think. How did I get to New York? Maybe a villain used a teleportation quirk. Like what happened at the USJ. But then again, for one to teleport another person across the ocean and to another country is quite a feat. Perhaps an enhancement tool or machine was used," he was saying to himself, which lead to another of his infamous rambles.

This continued for awhile as he walked, until he suddenly stopped when he heard a groan coming from behind a bush, to his left. Cautious at first, Izuku stepped carefully as he pushed the bush aside. Then he smiled at seeing a familiar sight.

"Uraraka!" he cried, nudging her to wake up. Izuku was happy to see her, but also curious as to how she was here in New York as well.

"Ugh...mm...D-Deku?" the teenage girl asked as she awoke, and saw her best friend.

"Yeah it's me. I'm glad to see you're okay."

"Why would you think that, and what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with-" she was saying, but stopped when she noticed their surroundings.

"Uh Deku, where are we?"

"Well about that..." he replied, then told her about what he learned from the jogger earlier.

"WHAT, WE'RE IN NEW YORK CITY?" she shouted in alarm.

"Yes, but please keep your voice calm. And before you ask, I don't know how we got here. The last thing I remember was going to meet Kaachan and Todoroki. Then I found myself here."

"Hmm, that would make sense. I was doing the same thing, I was taking the bus to Ryuku's. Then everything went black. Wait, do you think a Villain brought us here?"

"If one did, we would have seen him or her. But so far it's just us. Also for some reason, my cell phone isn't working. I'm getting no signal or connections." Izuku showed her the status on his phone.

Upon seeing this, Uraraka tried the same thing with her phone, but got no response as well. "That's weird. I wonder why ours aren't working?"

"Don't know, but listen. Let's see if we can find a police officer around. Maybe they can help us contact our families or mentors."

Nodding to this, Uraraka followed Izuku as they continued to walk through the park. After 15 minutes, the two found the entrance to an underground subway station. Going down, they found a map of the city on the wall, which showed the different areas of the city.

"Okay, let's see...it looks like there's a police station a several blocks away from here," Izuku said looking at the map.

"That's good, but how are we going to pay for our tickets. They don't accept the money we have," Uraraka wondered.

"She's right, they have a different currency here in America. Which means we can't ride the subway, or take a taxi!" he realized.

"I guess then, were going to have to walk," he said, then took a picture of the map with his phone. A few people who saw this thought the phone was some sort of fancy camera.

After this, the two left the entrance as they followed the map on the phone. They started by leaving the park, which took them a few blocks north. After walking for about 30 minutes, the two stopped to rest.

"How much further Deku?"

"I would say, about another 10 blocks to go," he replied, while looking at the map.

"Ugh, I wish someone would come along and help," Uraraka stated sadly.

"Well maybe we can be of service," a gruff voice said, which made the two turn around. Behind them stood five men, all dressed like thugs and holding a weapon.

"If you kids are lost, my friends and I can help you out," the leader of the group said, as he smiled at the two.

"Uh thanks, but we're okay," Uraraka responded with a serious face.

"Oh don't be like that miss, we're great with kids. As they're easy to take from," one of the men added, as he pulled out a switch blade.

Izuku glanced over at Uraraka who nodded to him. Then before the men could move, Izuku moved with fast speed as he punched each of the men who groaned in surprise as they fell down to the ground.

After this, the two teens took off away from the men, who got up and chased after them.

"Deku, where to now?" Looking around, Izuku saw that they were in a regular neighborhood, and no one was around. But up ahead was an intersection that could lead them to safety.

"Let's go right," he yelled to her, to which they did and saw it lead to some stores and restaurants. All were closed, but there were some boxes and crates on the street, which Uraraka touched as they ran by. This caused the boxes to float up above the men.

"RELEASE!" she shouted which made the boxes come crashing down onto the men, causing various fruits and vegetables to land all over the place. The men who saw this were shocked as they tried to get up, but kept falling down as they tripped on the produce.

"Serves them right!" Uraraka stated in cheer, then followed Izuku as they got some distance from the thugs. Once they thought the two thought they were safe, both stopped to catch their breath.

"Man...I...haven't...run...like this...since our...training...for the license exam," panted Izuku, who looked ready to drop.

"Same...here...But I...think...we lost them." She repiled.

"Think again, kids!" the leader of the gang said as he looked annoyed, pieces of fruits and vegetables on his jacket.

"Now I don't know how you two did those things before. But we're gonna make you regret that!" the leader said as he charged forward, as the two readied themselves for a fight.

But then something big, jumped over the teens and pounced down on the leader. At first, the two didn't see what it was as the thing had the man pinned down.

Seeing this, the other men went to aid their boss, but were grabbed in the air by two beings.

"Now, you lads know it's not nice to pick on young ones," one of the beings said, and he then tossed the two men into a nearby garbage pin.

"Do yourselves a favor, and look for a new line of work!" the other one added, before dropping the two men, who then ran off scared.

"The same goes for you too!" he added to the leader, who merely shook his head as the large beast let him go, then watched as he ran off crying.

Izuku and Uraraka took notice of their rescuers. One was a tall looking, person? But he had giant wings, long black hair, lavender skin, and wore a dark brown loin cloth.

Next to him was someone who looked similar, but older, with tan skin, long white hair and beard. He wore a dark, red shirt, black shoulder armor, tan shorts with a short looking sword attached to them.

Izuku also noticed that this one's left eye was colored differently. "Could be a old wound of some kind," he thought to himself, then looked at the large beast.

At first, he thought it was a dog. But he saw that it had no fur, but three spikes running down its back. It had dark blue skin and a large face, with fan shaped ears.

"Um, thank you for saving us," Uraraka said to the three, who were shocked that the girl was talking to them.

"Oh, uh, you're quite welcome miss," the lavender skinned being repiled. He then watched the girl walk over to their guard beast, who looked at her first, then sniffed her extended hand. After this, he looked happy by accepting this gesture.

"It seems you made a new friend," the elder one said as he came over to pat the beast on his head.

"Now that you two are safe, you should head home," The winged being said, as he was about to leave.

"Wait, don't go. My friend and I are trying to find the police," Uraraka said to him, which made the being stop.

"I see, then perhaps we can help you out with that." He repiled, then went over and picked up Izuku and put him on his back. The elderly one did the same with Uraraka as they walked over to the alley, then climbed up the walls of a building with their claws.

Once they made it to the roof. The two extended their wings as they were ready to take off, but had trouble due to the beast not having wings. "I can take care of that!" Uraraka said as her fingers glowed, which made him float in the air.

The two winged beings were surprised by this, as they thought she was a sorceress. But they realized that their beast was in no danger.

"Just make sure we stay close to him." Uraraka advised as she saw the elder pick her up in his arms. The same thing happened with Izuku as the two beings extended their wings, then took off with the beast following them.

Once in the air, the two took in the views as they held on to their bags closely.

"It's amazing, we're flying through the air!" Izuku said in wonder.

"Actually, I'm not flying. I'm gliding on currents of wind, as is my friend," he heard the being said to him.

"Oh I see, so is that how your quirks works?" Izuku asked next.

But he didn't get an answer as the two looked confused as to what that meant. After this, things were quiet as they glided over the city to their destination, which they reached 20 minutes later.

It was the roof a apartment building that looked nice. Once they touched down, Uraraka waited til the beast had made it as well before releasing him. Luckily, he landed on the roof with out crashing and she didn't feel sick after using it for so long.

"So um, why are we here?" wondered Izuku.

"Because my young friend, this place is were a police detective we know lives," the lavender one answered as he knocked on the door.

At first, there was nothing. Then after a few more knocks, the lights inside turned on. And the door opened to show a woman with black hair emerge, wearing a night robe.

"(YAWN) hmm...Oh Goliath, it's you, and Hudson too," the woman responded as she saw her friends.

"Good to see you again, lass. We're sorry to awaken you, but we have two young ones that need Police help," the one called Hudson replied as he then gestured to the two teenagers.

"I...see. And I take it there's a story behind this?" she asked to which the two nodded yes to her. "Alright, why don't you kids come inside and make yourselves at home. I'll be in soon," the woman said to them.

Nodding to this, Izuku and Uraraka did so while the detective spoke with Goliath and Hudson for a bit. Then once they were done, the two grabbed the beast, then took off again.

Heading back inside, the woman found the teens sitting at the small table.

"So my um, friends, told me about the thugs who chased you. And how you told them you were looking for the Police?"

"Yes miss, you see my friend and I are far from home. And we don't know how we got here," Izuku responded.

"Hmm, I see. Tell you what, why don't I make us some tea. And you can tell me all about it."

"Of course thank you umm?" Uraraka was saying, but stopped as she didn't know the detective's name

"Oh right, I'm Elisa Maza. And you two would be?"

"I'm Izuku Midoriya, it's nice to meet you."

"I'm Ochako Uraraka, thank you for helping us." The two said to her.

"Of course, now you two relax, while I get things ready," Elisa responded, as the two waited patiently.

To Be Continued.

(Author's Note)

The Idea for this story was something I had been thinking about for awhile. And I decided to do a crossover Fanfiction between My Hero Academia and Disney's Gargoyles. As there aren't many involving the two properties.

Gargoyles is own of my Favorite Shows from the 90's. It was different from other cartoon shows on at the time. And remains one I go back to re watch every now and again.

I've also enjoyed My Hero Academia since it began airing on Toonami in 2016. As it's a unique spin on the superhero genre.

This story will see Midoriya and Uraraka enter a new world. Where they will make friends and enemies along the way.

The next chapter will be coming in time. Til then stay tuned.

Gargoyles is owned by Disney. My Hero Academia is owned by Kohei Horikoshi. I own nothing in this story.
