This idea popped into my mind and I decided to work on it. :)
Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach belongs to its respective owners. I only own Mia.
This story will have Sun and Moon being separate animatronics and Eclipse will be a separate animatronic from them too. And the Glamrocks and DJ MM will be there too. It takes place after the fire at the Pizzaplex with the animatronics and Gregory escaping to safety.
Animatronics And A Kid
Twelve-year-old Mia stood in front of a huge house that wasn't quite a mansion, but looked like it could be one. The social worker had dropped her off at the gate, giving her a file folder and the girl's suitcase.
"You can walk up to the door," the woman said before leaving. "They already know you're arriving. Now, go. I don't want to hear another word about you."
Mia was wondering what the woman meant, but didn't ask. Seven years of being in foster care had taught her that adults didn't like it when you answered them unless they asked you a question. They didn't much care for her either. The clothes she wore had holes in them, but it was her only outfit she had because she had only been given hand-me-downs from her foster siblings when the clothing had gotten holes or just 'not been in style', as she had heard one foster sibling say.
Her stomach growled, but she didn't say a word as the social worker left her there at the gate to the new foster home that had taken her in. Mia looked down at her outfit and sighed. The purple shirt had quite a few small holes in it on the arms and stomach area, with a large hole at her left forearm while her jeans had holes in the pockets and ragged cuts along the knees and lower legs. These were not part of the design, but rather the work of one of Mia's foster siblings who had thought it would be funny to see Mia cry over a good pair of jeans being ruined, but the girl had accepted them and done her best not to tear them more. She had cried in private later on, but she was mostly happy to just have a pair of jeans that fit her.
Her white sneakers were also in bad shape. Taped up and just about to fall off her feet, but she did her best to make sure they didn't do that. Her blonde hair was a bit matted, but she did her best to make herself look decent. Taking a deep breath, she had walked up to the house and knocked on the door.
She heard something like a lock clicking, but no one came to the door. Curious, she tried the handle and found it unlocked. Taking this as a cue that she was supposed to go in, Mia cautiously entered, clutching the file folder in one hand and her suitcase in the other. Her suitcase was light as all it contained was a dark-blue hoodie, a few books she had gotten for free at a yard sale, a gray blanket, a small pillow, and a dolphin plushie that had a few rips at the seams, but Mia hadn't known how to mend them, so she took extra care that it didn't continue to tear.
"Who are you?"
The gruff voice made her jump and she turned quickly to see a large gator looking at her, but her eyes widened in horror at seeing he was an animatronic. She tried to move, but was frozen with fear and the gator narrowed his eyes at her. "Can't you talk?" He asked, speaking in the same gruff voice that had startled her a moment ago.
"Monty, who is it?" Asked a female voice and a animatronic chicken came out from the hallway and spotted the girl. "Oh, we have a guest?"
"A new friend!?" An excited voice asked as a animatronic that had rays on his head like a sun came out and he was smiling. "Oh! Oh! We've got a new friend!"
Mia hadn't moved, but when the sun animatronic moved closer to her, she dropped the items in her hands and bolted, surprising the three.
Chica blinked. "Oh," she said softly.
Monty scoffed. "Yeah, they better run," he said. "That kid doesn't belong here."
Moon came out from the living room, having heard the commotion and he saw the file and papers that had scattered on the floor. Curious, he picked them up and read them, his eyes widening at what he saw. "Actually, she apparently does," he said softly.
The other three looked at him and he held up a paper that said "Foster Agreement". Sun blinked in surprise. "She's a foster child?" He asked softly.
"It looks like it," Chica said, also reading the paper. "Her name is Mia and she's only twelve years old."
"I thought that was a joke when they made Eclipse agree to be a foster parent," Monty said, his tone a bit less gruff.
"Guess not," Moon said, remembering that day.
After the fire at the Pizzaplex, which the animatronics had thankfully gotten out of unscathed, they were allowed to find a home and work, but they mostly kept to themselves. The ambassador for them and the government had decided that they'd be ideal for fostering kids since Sun, Moon, and Eclipse had worked at the Daycare of the Pizzaplex and the other animatronics had been in a band and many kids had loved watching the Glamrocks sing or jam on their instruments.
The door opened and Eclipse walked in, looking tired. "Ugh, I swear, my job isn't worth it sometimes," he said with a sigh.
"Bad day, brother?" Sun asked.
"Yeah. Some of the employees skipped out, so I not only had my work to do, but their work too," the tall animatronic said. "I'm looking for a new job right now."
"Um, Eclipse, not to add more stress, but...there's a foster kid here," Monty said.
Eclipse went still. "What?" He asked before seeing a suitcase nearby and Moon was holding a folder with some papers. He held out a hand for the folder and the nighttime animatronic gave it to him. The tall bot looked through the papers, scanning them before sighing softly. "Where is she right now?" He asked, glancing around to see the girl, Mia, wasn't there.
"She got spooked and ran off somewhere in the house," Chica said. "She looked terrified."
"Because according to her file, she once said that the animatronic that was in a family that had fostered her prior chases her and hurt her. There's even a hospital report," Eclipse said, looking it over. "She had bruises and scratch marks, yet despite that, she was called a liar and the family sent her back into the system."
Moon growled. "Heartless," he said. "Some humans really are horrible."
"And it looks like that poor girl hasn't had anyone to care for her for a long time," Chica said.
Eclipse nodded. "Alright, I'll go find her," he said. "Chica, can you and Sun get one of the spare rooms ready for her?"
"Sure," she chirped and Sun nodded.
"It is okay if Moon and I get those donated clothes we got sometime back out of the attic?" Roxy asked as she came in. "I just scanned the kid's suitcase and...the only piece of clothing in there is a hoodie. Rest is a blanket, small pillow, few books, and a plushie that needs mending."
The tall animatronic nodded. "Please do," he said.
Freddy came in and he looked worried. "There's skid marks on the road in front of the gate," he said before holding up the mail. "And we just got this in today."
He handed Eclipse a letter from the foster agency and when the animatronic read it, he sighed. "This letter is dated two weeks ago and yet the postage stamp reads just a day ago," he said. "Talk about little warning."
"So...what do we do?" Monty asked. "She's already terrified. I doubt she wants to stay."
Sun noticed his brother looked a bit pensive at that. "Brother?" He asked.
"I'm afraid Mia doesn't have a choice," Eclipse said softly. "When they made me sign the papers to be a foster father, they put in a clause that once a child was in my care, they had to stay in my care for one year before I could either decide if I wanted to continue fostering the kid or send them to a new foster home."
The others were quiet. "So, the child is stuck here?" Freddy asked, realizing what was going on.
"Sounds like it," Sun said, looking worried.
"Well...she's here now," Moon said before straightening. "And right now, she's terrified. Let's go get her room ready, get those clothes from the attic, and get something for dinner. Hopefully in between all that, she'll come out from wherever she's hiding."
"Eclipse's bedroom, in the closet," Roxy said. "I saw her when I was coming down the hallway. I don't know if she saw me though."
Eclipse nodded. "I'll go see if I can coax her out of hiding," he said.
The others went to take care of either getting a new room ready, getting the spare clothes, or seeing what they had for food for the kid while the tall animatronic headed for his room. Arriving there, he set down his briefcase and sighed before looking towards the closet, having a feeling that if he just opened it up, the child would bolt, not that he blamed her given her past he had read about.
Taking a deep breath, he opened the closet door, turning on the light and coming face to face with the terrified child that was currently looking up at him with fear and tears in her blue eyes.
