Thank you for selecting on my story, it may not be as good as others, but I've had this story in my head for a while. I will fix any pacing issue I have as I continue and grow as a writer. I will do my best to post once a week, but also due to my daytime job, I maybe not be reliable on the weekly schedule from time to time. Please do enjoy my rendition of the story of our hero Link and how he becomes this world's Hero.

Butterflies swarm in Link's stomach as the humid air sticks to his skin. Following behind his father and mentor. Standing before the great entrance of Hyrule Castle, his father stopped making a small humming sound and scrunching his face. Looking back to Link, his face brightens and nods as the doors open with an invasion of horns as an introduction to their presences. As the heavy doors moved, the great and imposing hall came into view.

Link's eyes hurt trying to focus on the shadows that seemed to swirl and dance with the light that pierced through the hall. The journey towards the throne felt much longer in Link's mind than it was in reality. The expansive nature of the hall, giving it a grand appearance. He looked at his father, who had relaxed shoulders and standing tall with a great wrinkled smile. Link takes a deep breath and looks forward, now finding it easy to do the same. His feet caught up to his mind, where he is now, at the precipice of the throne.

"It is a pleasure to have you here in my Castle." Said the King, smiling with arms wide.

"The pleasure is all mine, my Lord." Link's Father said, bowing with his lead leg stable and his back leg trailing behind in a straight line.

At once his father's opposing hand laid flat across his stomach, palm open aimed at the ceiling. His dominant arm extended sideways, palm open and facing the king. His head bowed and his posture still. Link follows his father's example, copying his father's pose in reverse.

"You may rise, I didn't ask you here to kneel to me." The King waved both his hands up and down in a circular motion. "Rise, rise!" The King moved with heavy feet towards Link's father, laying a hand on his stable side.

Link and his father rise, the movement sliding the King's hand sliding down his father's form. He recoils his hand and coughs wiping his hand on his royal gown. "Now to business, what I have read by your letter, you wish to ally yourself with Hyrule."

"Yes, I am surprised and honored that you invited me to your beautiful castle." Link's father said standing moving his hands back locking together. "I wish to speak on these terms."

"I am excited to begin, we have heard of your prowess and reputation, Lord Ganondorf." He said, stepping back to his throne then sitting.

"I am pleased, but I am more than just my stories, they never tell my efforts as a man." Ganondorf nods his head towards Link as he walks to the other side of him. "And to prove my loyalty I wish to give my son as a personal guard for your daughter. He is well trained to protect her, and I would trust his care under you, showing that you accept my allegiance."

"I see, but my daughter already has a bodyguard, and she doesn't need two." King gestured towards a small, framed woman modest beauty with a serious expression on her face. Eyes like red rubies. Set under a head of snow-white hair.

"These are uncertain times, surely you wouldn't turn down extra security for your darling daughter." Ganondorf spoke, turning towards the King with one brow raised.

The King frowned, leaning on his dominant arm on his knee with his hand rubbing mouth and the other on the arm of the throne, "Yes, you do have a point…."

"Of course, My Liege, with the increase of monsters and demons. In which my son has been training for. I believe he would be an asset in protecting your daughter." Ganondorf swept his hand from one side of the throne room to the other, ending it pointing at Princess Zelda.

The King and Princess Zelda both shared a face of worry, with raised eyebrows and a semi frown. "It seems you need proof of my son's ability to handle his own. How about you have him spar with your best soldiers, so we can put your nerves to rest." He smiled, tilting his head forward peering from his brow towards the King.

With a large exhale, "Business and a show? Lord Ganondorf, if your son can win against one of my generals I will agree to your terms." The King shifted to the center of his seat and stood puffing his chest up with his belly reaching past it. "Follow me to the courtyard where one of my generals should be."

Ganondorf and Link both bowed and followed the King back out the great door that they entered through. As they exited the throne room out of the castle, they slowly strolled down the stone stairs that were recently wetted by the morning rain. Link felt a familiarity to the environment to Hyrule, wet air felt rejuvenating. He never noticed but he needed this feeling, living in the desert he never thought land like this was real. Enjoying a moment of peace, he didn't notice that his father slowed next to him.

"My son, I know this seems unorthodox and puts you in the center of attention. But I suggested this because I know you won't disappoint me and our people." He whispered, leaning down with his large hand on Link's shoulder. "Never before the Gerudo would adopt a Hylian child such as yourself, and many may say that you were a mistake. Prove them wrong boy, show that you are the prince, my son. Be the key to our victory." He stands fully and moves forward to the side of the King and openly speaks to him in joy of a fight.

With the words of his father echoing in his head, he pulls his shoulders back and cracks his neck. He has lost many fights, but not in a long time and only against his father. They reached the wall at the end of the stairs. Leading to a cobble road, next to it was a cliff that climbed towards the castle, the other side looked like the aforementioned courtyard. It spanned to the next wall leading to more stairs. The ground was a mix of grass and mud and at the center was a stone ring with a pit of dirt, that is now mud due to weather. Fighting dummies lined against the far wall with small sparing pits in front of them. Archery targets on the opposite side on the wall towards the castle.

As soon as the King stepped foot onto the courtyard grounds, one man yelled. "King on the grounds! Hail the king!" With a loud roar, "Hail the King!" The soldiers bowed then continued their training. A large man wearing full plate armor with a white tabard donning the Hyrule kingdom's code of arms.

"My Lord, what do I and my soldiers have the pleasure to be in your presence?" He said bowing.

His red hair falling forward from training, his eyes an emerald green. He towered over the King but only met Ganondorf's shoulders. Link didn't know if it was the armor or if that was actually how he was built, but he seemed almost as wide as the walls that circle Hyrule.

"General Nut, this is Lord Ganondorf, the King of Gerudo. And his son, Link, Hylain and Prince of Gerudo." King smiled through his beard, "May you help settle a deal that Lord Ganondorf and I have going on?"

"Oh of course my King, I would be honored." General Nut perked up and stood at attention listening to the details of this deal. "I see, then you wish for me to fight the young prince so he may earn his place in our ranks to protect Princess Zelda. Did I misinterpret?"

"In a sense, you are correct." The King replied. "If he wins, he will be sharing the same hourly shifts as Impa."

"Well, I accept the Challenge!" General Nut spoke loudly, getting everyone's attention."I hope you all don't mind a crowd, call in a morale booster."

"Only if you win, General." A voice spoke behind Link.

He turned and was the Princess and Impa standing patiently. "But if you lose, I will have a little helper assisting me guarding the Princess." The voice now clearly Impa's, she stood tall and calm, but her eyes glared at Link. No one has ever looked at Link that way before, it felt different.

"Well of course Ipma." The General smiled with a glare that quickly disappeared as he turned to the king. "If you may follow me, Lord Link and I have a duel." He led Link to the ring and the rest of the group to the side lines.

"If you don't mind Lord, can we have our contestants use the weapons that they have on hand? Such as the weapons that are on my son's person and the General uses the weapons that he uses in battle?" Ganondorf suggested, looking down to the King.

The King stroked his beard and scrunched his brow in thought, "I just don't want blood to be spilt, but we can do the disarm rule and then pause on a killing blow. What do you think, Link, General?"

Link nodded, unclipping his round shield from his back and unsheathed his scimitar. Placing himself in a fighting stand with his shield facing towards the General and the scimitar placed hind his body hiding the blade. Link's feet were placed in a ready position with his defensive side forward and his blade side back. Standing up right with his shield covering his center mass, eyes on his opponent.

"That sounds like a grand Idea! Bring me my great sword!" The General exclaimed with open arms shortly before a soldier marched up with a large steel sword adorned with gold wings on the cross guard and a gold pommel.

The general grabbed his great sword and leaned it on his shoulder with both hands on the hilt. Standing in an upright position with a semi-crouched position ready to move at any moment. His face shone with confidence like a lantern in a dark cave, "Give us the countdown!" He yelled, regripping his blade.

The King stepped forward, "The duel with General Nut, against Prince Link! May the best warrior win! You may begin!" The King announced, spreading his arms out wide.

Both Link and the General took their fighting positions, Link standing sideways, facing the General. With both hands upwards with his great sword in the sky pointing behind him, the general stares at Link, watching his every movement. With Link showing no signs of advancing, the General moves slowly towards him. As he got close enough to strike, he threw his great sword in a wide arc downwards to where Link was standing, with a mixture of the sound of metal on metal and the sword embedding into the muddy floor of the arena.

Link moved to the side with his shield only taking a glancing blow of the Generals sword. With a quick shift of his feet Link moved to the side of the General who finished his swing and knees him in the face, knocking him back. Link advances forward thrusting his shield into the throat and pushes the General onto his back with his foot, pulling his scimitar and placing it to the General's neck.

Followed with the general raising his hands in the air and smiling, "I yield!" He turns his head and lowers his voice. "You fight dirty, that's refreshing."

Both Link and General Nut stand, to shake each other's hands. Then the General raised Link's hand, nearly lifting him off the ground. The soldiers cheered and Ganondorf smiled and nodded to Link. Link picked up his shield and clipped it on his back while sheathing his scimitar. Now standing before the King who looked displeased with the fight.

"I didn't know that you would fight so dishonorably Prince Link." The King spoke with disappointment.

"My Lord my son still won-." The king interrupted Ganondorf by raising his hand up.

"I was addressing your son, not you, King Ganondorf." The Kind spoke in an agitated tone with a small frown. "Now Link, with the way you fought. Why should I allow this fight to be legitimate and not disqualify you and to take your father's deal?"

"I was fighting a larger opponent; I was simply evening the playing field my lord." Link spoke with his head down, "And another note, King, your general thought it was refreshing when I fought him the way I did." With every word that passed through his lips he felt like he was going to lose his chance to make his father proud.

"Is that so? General Nut, is this true? Do you feel like a fight like the one you just had, feels refreshing?" The King looked up to the General with a raised brow.

"Yes, my Lord, the way the prince fought was refreshing and it has shown me that even with my skill as an honorable fighter. I will lose if we go to war with warriors that fought similar to how he fights." General Nut walked forward with his hand on his hips and a large smile. "It definitely gives me some ideas to change our training to combat it."

"I see." The King stood quiet for a small moment, "Then I have come to a decision. Lord Ganondorf, I accept your alliance and I will take in your son as my daughter's personal guard."

Ganondorf stood tall and smiled, "Thank you my lord, I swear you will never regret your decision for as long as you live." Link's Father turned to Link and placed a hand onto his shoulder. "I know Link will make both of our Kingdoms proud."

"Yes, with the General's input, it sounds like it will benefit the both of us if he stays here." The King turned to Ganondorf. "Come with me and we may finalize this alliance in my study. Princes Zelda and Impa can show the young prince around the castle and where he will be sleeping."

The King led Ganondorf back up the stairs to the castle and the General returned to training the soldiers. With one of the soldiers trying to stick the tip of his sword into the ground and slinging mud and dirt in the air, attempting to mimic Link. Link left alone with Princess Zelda and Impa, who both shared a face of discomfort.

"Prince Link, I am honored to have you as my guard. As a male, you will guard my door when I change or bathe. Impa can guard the interior of the rooms at those moments, do you understand?" Princess Zelda stood tall reaching only to Link's nose.

Link stood to match her posture and quietly nodded. Even though Princess Zelda spoke in formality and kindness. Link didn't hear the kindness, only the formality with her giving orders coming from as a natural habit. She turned quickly towards the stairs with elegant strides gesturing to Impa to follow.

"Follow the Princess and she will show you around and where you will be sleeping." Impa spoke in a neutral tone while intently moving her eyes up and down Link's frame.

Ipma turns and follows the Princess, Link taken aback with the mix of emotions that were given to him. He followed them up the stairs towards the castle, with a lingering thought of his plan to gain their trust. It was clear the Princess didn't like him, and it was expected for Impa to distrust him. But the moment when the King made his decision, he thought he saw a hint in relief in her posture. The Princess seemed even more tense than before, as if she didn't want Link to be there. They entered the great hall where the throne stood in all its glory and light.

"As you know this is the throne room, the large throne is my father's, the small one to his right was my mothers and the one to the left is mine. The hall was constructed to mimic the entrance of the original Temple of Time, which is lost to history." Princess Zelda spoke with a bored tone hiding it with her posture which showed pride and grace. "If you follow me to the left here we will go to the living area of the castle where you will be sleeping then I will show you to my room where you will be guarding when I'm there."

Passing through the threshold of another pair of large doors leading into a tall hallway lined on either side with stonework that reaches to the ceiling creating arches. In the spaces between these arches hanging down were iron chandeliers lit with candles, which illuminated the hallway showcasing every painting and suit of armor from the ages. Link has never seen such expansive space before, the castle where he was raised would fit at least in the throne room. He now feels embarrassed to even call it a castle.

"Some rooms have their purpose, some storage, guest rooms, some hold collections and others hold war meetings." The Princess tried on, she pointed at a painting. "This is the first princess of Hyrule next to the Hero that was chosen to save her Kingdom."

The painting showed a young blonde girl standing behind a floating city with a Castle that seemed smaller than the castle that they were currently in. Next to her stood a boy of similar age in a green tunic and a long-pointed hat holding a blue shield with the Hylian coat of arms and carrying a blue sword that seemed to be glowing at the blade. The face of the girl was clear, she shared a similar face with the princess. The hero's face on the other hand seemed to have less detail, no pupils in the eyes and had a basic face shape that gave no real identification on what he truly looked like. The painting's frame was gold and at the bottom it had a placard that said, 'Princess Zelda the daughter of Hylia and the Skyward Hero.'

"We have many paintings like this sharing our lost history." Princess Zelda traced her hand on the painting where the hero's face is, with her eye staring into the heroes with a deep breath and silence.

"The Hero is said to only show when all of Hyrule is in danger, saying that the legend of the hero is true." Spoke Ipma, her arms crossed with her hip cocked resting her body onto one leg. "But it's only a legend, ironically named The Legend of Zelda. Not the Hero of Hyrule, clearly because it's a different hero every time and every princess is named after the first princess of Hyrule."

Princess Zelda stood back from the painting, and continued down the hall, "That is enough for some history. I'm sure the Hero is painted in a different light in the Gerudo kingdom."

"Ack-. Actually Princess, he is considered a hero and a villain. Our history is a little complicated, but in our stories we don't have pictures and most of our ancient history is lost too. Like the villain who summoned the monster in their time." Link spoke to inform the Princess.

She turned and only gave a smile only to appear for only a moment. It didn't feel a genuine smile for Link but for what he said, as if the information he said was something she was looking for. Link followed the Princess to the end of the hall with a window that looked over the layered castle down to the moat and on to the cliff side that led to a grass field with trees scattered around. To the right was a spiral staircase that traveled both ways. Impa led up the staircase with the Princess on her heels, following up a couple stories before landing at the top floor of the main wing.

The hallway was now against one side of the building having two doors for the whole hallway. Windows lined the wall where you could see the back of the castle with its many spires and walls. Through the spires and past the moat you could see a deep forest in the distance. Link stood staring at this forest; it had a familiar call to him. That call ended with a door opening behind him, turning to look at Princess Zelda that stood by the door.

"This will be your room; you can decorate it as you please and give it some life. Maybe make it your home away from home." Princess Zelda spoke, gesturing one hand to the interior of the room.

The room was bare, with only a large bed, a wardrobe, and desk with empty bookshelves. The room was far too large for a single person, stone and wood decorated the room to make it seem homely. To Link it felt too much, a room this big seemed too grand for him. His room back home was a twelfth of the size of this and served one purpose, sleep, he never needed anything more than that and he was grateful for it. But this room was more than anything he could even ask or expect.

"We will have your things moved in by the end of this week." Princess Zelda said, sounding confident and calm trying to ease Link's nerves.

There was no nerve to ease his things being moved in; he grabbed his single pack with spare clothes and tools to clean his armor and weapons. Placing it on the ground next to the door in the room. "No need to worry Princess, I brought all I need."

"Oh, well that won't do. Impa, in your free time take Prince Link to the city and get him more clothes and a few extra things." Princess Zelda spoke, with a worried expression.

"As you wish Princess." Impa replied, showing a face what seemed to be a mix of displeasure and concern.

"Now, if you follow me. The next stop is my room where you will guard till, I am changed into my midday dress for lunch." Princess Zelda said, leaving Link at the door to his room.

Link shut the door to his room and followed the princess back down the stairs one flight leading to a hallway that was similar to the first one. There were less doors than the first on, but more than the floor Link was sleeping in. Walking down the hallway, Link saw more paintings of different generations of Princesses and their Heroes. Some held a dark tone and some lighter, so many stories and so many lost. Link couldn't stop thinking if he just got his hands on some of these stories, the more he'd understand the world around him. After a short walk down the hall they stopped at a door with a 'Z' carved on the center.

"This is my room, Impa will follow me in, and you guard the door till I am done. Then you will follow me to the dinning hall where father should finish the final details of this alliance and you can say goodbye to your father." Princess Zelda explained, opening the door and walking in.

As the door shut being left alone, Link turned his back towards her door facing another painting. This time it didn't look much like the other paintings, others told stories, but this was a family portrait. The King was young in this picture, thick blonde hair and a beard that reached to his chest. His right hand was on the shoulder of a woman with ocean blue eyes wearing a white royal gown embroidered with gold. On the lap of this woman was a little smiling girl, wearing blue and gold baby clothes. The frame was wooden carved with many designs, at the bottom of the frame, a placard that wrote, 'The Hylian Royal Family.'

Link admired the painting, hoping one day he would do the same with his father. 'Maybe his father too didn't think he was part of the Gerudo.' Link didn't want to dwell on that thought, because if his father really felt that way then he wouldn't be here as a peace offering to Hyrule. And be placed with such an important mission for the success of the Gerudo kingdom. Pleasing his father and winning the hearts of his people has been on his mind since he was adopted by Ganondorf. Link, staring at the painting still thought, 'I bet the Princess didn't have to fight to earn her people's respect, she has her fathers' blood.'

The door opened and Princess Zelda walked out in a new royal gown, brighter than the last one. This one was a forest green with gold stitching. The dress hung down to her ankles where it continued to the floor with white flowing material. Her hair was pulled back into a bun held by a flower pin that represented a Silent Princess.

"Are you ready Prince Link?" Princess Zelda spoke, with one hand still on the door handle and on hand on the frame, leaning forward toward him.

Link nodded.

"Good, Impa, lead the way." Princess Zelda ordered moving to the side so Impa can pass.

They led him down to the first floor and back through the throne room to the other side, opening the great double doors to a ballroom. The marble floor polished like a mirror with a wooden stage in the back. The walls were a dark blue complimented with white wood columns.

Princess Zelda and Impa lead him to a decent sized double door that opens to a dining hall with a long table in the center. Sitting at either head was the King and Ganondorf, smiling and laughing.

"You should have seen her! It was the first time she ever saw a fish! She was soaked!" The King said between gasps of air slapping his hand on the desk, before noticing them entering the dining hall. "Ah, my daughter! Come sit by me and Prince Link. You may sit wherever you like. Food is almost here, and for the Might King of the Gerudo, another pint?"

"Oh, I shouldn't, but who here will tell me no." Ganondorf replied with controlled laughter and gesturing Link to sit next to him. "I need to speak to my son right now, but feel free to share more stories about your adventures." He turned and leaned down to Link.

"I know this place is much grander than back home, but that is why we are here. They think they are above us, but not for long." Ganondorf places his hand on Link's shoulder. "Do you have a room?"

Link nodded, "It's much bigger than I will ever need."

"Good, now remember your mission. Also don't forget to train and read a book or too." Ganondorf spoke, removing his hand and raising back up. "Now my Lord, you were going to tell a hunting story."

The King went on with his story about the time he was chased by a Boar while he was going to the bathroom in the woods on a hunting trip. Link didn't listen to it much; he was planning how he could properly do his mission. It shouldn't be too hard of a mission; all he is doing is collecting information. Finding the crack in the castle's defenses, and in the Royal family.

When food arrived, the King clanked in silver wear on his glass. "I would like to make a toast to our new Alliance! May it prosper till for many ages to come!" He lifts the cup and pours its contents into his mouth till the glass is empty.

"I second that my King" Ganondorf spoke smiling with glaring eyes, then followed the King's drinking and finished his glass.

Link raised his glass as well, only drinking half of his glass, with Princess Zelda not drinking at all. As they all ate the food the hall was mostly quite besides the King making small talk towards Ganondorf and Link. Ganondorf was asking about the King himself to try and keep him talking. Learning that he built his Library by breaking down walls of various small rooms, he has spoken to a fountain fairy before. When the food was finished Ganondorf stood.

"Now that the food is finished and our business has been concluded, I must take leave if I were to get to the desert by nightfall." Ganondorf announced, pushing the seat back in place. "I wish you all good tidings, and I hope my son will find joy in living with you in your castle. Sarqso and Sav'aaq." Ganondorf left the dining hall leaving Link alone with Impa, the King, and Princess Zelda.

"Well, by the sounds of things, your father is a very agreeable person. Very nice and charming. I bet all the women in your kingdom want the bed." The King chuckles.

"The Gerudo Kingdom is composed of only Vai, with one Voe being born into the kingdom once every hundred years or so. With me being the only exception." Link Replied using a neutral tone trying not to send any disrespect.

"What is a Voe? What is a Via?" The King asked. "Actually, what were those words your father said before he left?"

"Voe and Via means Man and Woman. Sarqso means thankyou and Sav'aaq means good day." Link replied.

"Are these real words? Or are you making things up?" Princess Zelda said, giving Link an untrusting gaze.

"These are the words of my people; I grew up learning these words. With my father and I being the only males in the whole kingdom, you can say there was a time when I was little, I couldn't go to my father because of a nightmare that I had."

"Oh? Lucky man." The King replied.

"Father!" Princess Zelda exclaimed.

"What? I'm a lonely man, even though I am King. It's not like I can go into town and just take a ravenous maiden home." The King laughed, finding joy in speaking in such a way to embarrass the Princess. "Now Link, you were the only other man. Did you get to pick any woman you chose?"

Link sat in silence, it was like he didn't, but it's also not like he did. In fact, he felt more harassed than him getting to pick. When he would bathe, the women washing him would spend too much time around his groin. "I can say I never really put much thought into it, my lord."

"Ah, we have a gentleman. If I was you, I wouldn't put much thought if any woman wanted me." The King continued, eagerly laughing.

Princess Zelda looked at Link, "Father I must go, I'm taking Link, now that he is officially one of my guards now." She stood quickly and waved both Link and Impa to follow her.

"Ah, that is fine. I need to catch up on my kingly duties anyways." The King groaned, wiping his face from any food left.

Link stood from the table and followed Zelda out of the dinning hall, as they were walking Princess Zelda looked back at Link and said, "I'm sorry for my father's questions about the women. He can be… a little inappropriate."

"Lonely men tend to forget their manners, Princess." Link replied, remembering all the men that would try and sneak into Gerudo Village trying to bed the women living there.

Princess Zelda scrunched her face, as if she didn't like his answer. It quickly faded away as she turned her head forward. Princess Zelda led Impa and Link back to her room, where Link was invited in this time. Princess Zelda sat on her bed then relaxed her body allowing her bed to drop on to the bed letting out a big sigh. Impa sat on a chair that was next to a bid bay window that looked out the front of the castle. Viewing over the vast plains land that encompassed the front of the castle borders, if you looked hard enough you could see a single lonely ranch standing in the middle of all of it.

Link, being in a girl's room for the first time, didn't know where to sit or even properly act. He stood stiff and kept scanning the room, second guessing himself on where to sit or stand. Hoping he wouldn't disrespect both the princess and Impa. Eventually, he decided on sitting at a vanity desk. Still stiff, he felt uneasy with the silence and didn't know how to start a conversion with two complete strangers.

Eventually, Impa spoke, "So, Link, how do you like it here? I mean you haven't spoken much. How much different is it from your castle back in Gerudo City?" She turned, looking at Link waiting for an answer.

But before he could speak, "Actually, Link, why are you so quiet?" Asked Princess Zelda, who was staring at the ceiling.

"There is a difference between being quiet and listening, Princess." Link replied, in a neutral tone and hoping that would answer the question. "To answer Impa's question; Small."

"Wait… That doesn't answer the question, which castle is small?" Impa stood up right as she spoke with a sound of confusion.

Link shifted his body away from Impa hoping she would understand that he didn't want to elaborate. The room fell in silence again, with the slight ticking coming from Princess Zelda sucking in air and moving her tough against and away from her teeth. Princess Zelda sat up looking back and forth with a scrunched face, like she forgot something.

She abruptly stood up, "Where is my diary?" Impa tossed a book that was laying on the table next to her which landed behind Princess Zelda, who promptly took it and started to write in it. "Thankyou Impa."

"Your welcome Princess." Impa replied, with an empty tone.

The three of them spent the day, till dinner, in Princess Zelda's room. Impa and Princess Zelda had a couple conversations for the plans tomorrow. They are to accompany Princess Zelda into the city where she will have lunch with her betrothed. In the morning Princess Zelda has to attend a knighting ceremony, and finally she must host a tea party for the Ladies of the city. When time for dinner did come Princess Zelda changed into her evening dress while Link stood outside of her room. Then all three of them strolled to the dinning hall where Link and Impa joined the King and the Princess in eating.

"Now, I know tomorrow is going to be busy for you Zelda, but I want Impa and Link by your side all day. Especially since you're going into the city, okay?" The King said, with a mouth full of meat, spitting back onto the plate as he spoke.

"Yes father, I understand. They are not to leave my side wherever I go." Princess Zelda spoke, with a slow scripted tone, like she says it every time she leaves the castle.

Link ate quietly and never started a conversation; he focused on the food he was eating. While ignoring the feeling of someone watching him as he ate. He would look up from his food to try and find who was looking at him but could never find the culprit. Till he looked forward with Impa looking him straight in the eyes. She looked like a wolf who was hunting prey, waiting for its moment to kill. Her bright red eyes felt like they were peering into his soul trying to find one crack in Link's armor. As soon as they were done leaving, Link and Impa led Princess back to her room for the night.

When they arrived at Princess Zelda's room there were two guards wearing full plate armor and carrying Halberds. They had enclosed helms with a puff of blue feathers on the top, their tabards were white lined with blue with a red Hyrulian coat of arms on the center of their chest.

"Princess Zelda stops at her door turning, to Link and Impa, "You two are now relieved from your duties of the day and I will see you both tomorrow." She smiled and walked in on her.

"Well Link, you have a good night, I will be turning in" Impa said, still facing the door but looking at Link who is right next to her.

"I will do the same." Link responded with his head facing the stairs to his room.

As Princess Zelda entered her room, Link and Impa silently walked towards the stairs. They parted ways with Impa climbing down and Link climbing up the stairs. Reaching to his room, Link enters, finally fully seeing his room. The floor was the same stone as the walls with a raised wooden platform where the bed stood on the far-left side. The far wall is lined with tall windows looking out the front of the castle with the setting sun shining into his room. With a single wardrobe next to his bed.

When Princess Zelda said that he 'needed to decorate his room' he didn't think that he needed to do much. Being that the room was so large, Link didn't know where to start. Instead of decorating Link knew that he could just add things as needed. For starters, moving his bag to the wardrobe and placing his extra pair of clothes into it and placing his wet stone, rags, and oils on the top of it. Placing his weapons between the wardrobe and bed, then removing his armor and losing clothes into the wardrobe. Laying down and relaxing on the bed Link thought of his own, it was much harder than the one he was laying in. With that same thought, he started to miss the running water of the canals that streamed next to his room, falling and trickling through the city.
