To my Readers:
I am taking a break this month from posting. Readers alerted me to the fact that the AiP series is being actively plagiarized here and on AO3. Rather than being able to write something special for Christmas or focus on the upcoming Flashback, I have instead been dealing with this extensive plagiarism case involving the AiP series that has taken all month to compile. I don't even know what to say about it. It absolutely breaks my heart that someone was this cruel. You all know how much this series and Audrey mean to me. And so did they. The report was updated this morning and sent to AO3 and FFN as well as a group that handles this type of thing for fanfiction.
I am putting this behind me and moving forward. But it has drained me of my ability to write. So I've been drawing instead to ease my stress.
I am a part of a discord server that has an exchange going so my story for that will be revealed later this month and it is a BMW crossover. So there is that.
Also if you think you've seen work plagiarized, please report it or let the OG author know. My eternal gratitude to the readers who let me know what was happening.
Since Saudade and the corresponding flashbacks are actively being used in the other story, I am halting those stories for this month. But I might possibly update Birthday Wishes. I'm just not sure yet.
I have been doing some Jondrey artwork that is being posted on AO3 called Snapshots and Photographs. Same username on AO3.
I didn't want to let the month go without telling you all how thankful I am for you and how much you mean to me. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and Merry Christmas, too, if I don't see you before then.
But this isn't just an AN. I do have a few previews from upcoming stories for you.
I love you all very much.
Here is a little unedited preview of the next chapter of Birthday Wishes & Valentine Kisses
Absentmindly, she sang along to "Don't Stand So Close To Me" by the Police.
Young teacher the subject of schoolgirl fantasy. She wants him so badly...
Audrey flipped through pages of her cookbook as she continued to sing.
The front door slammed shut signaling Jon's return from a run to his place. She left her books to greet him at the door.
"What in the world are you singin'?" he asked as she reached for his tie.
Despite having gone to the apartment, he'd forgotten to change out of his school clothes. Audrey grinned as she undid his tie and secured it around her hips. She responded to his question by pointing toward the stereo.
Jon made a face. "I really hate that song."
"Why?" she asked with a twinkle in her eye. A puckish impulse suddenly came over her.
That look concerned Jon. "Listen to the lyrics, Aud."
Book marking - she's so close now. This girl is half his age. Don't stand, don't stand... so don't stand so close to me
"And please don't sing it while you're doing that," he exclaimed, mildly perturbed by where his tie now hung. "Seriously, Aud, that song hits too close to home."
"Okay, okay." She laughed. She undid the top four buttons of his shirt and intentionally began to sing: "When I kissed the teacher. Couldn't quite believe his eyes, when I kissed the teacher..."
"Audrey…!"
She slowly untucked his shirt. "One of these days gonna tell him I dream of him every night..."
"Would you stop!?"
She let go of him and began to laugh. "What is wrong with you?"
"Those songs."
"There's just songs."
"Yeah, well, given our situation, we really oughta stay away from 'em."
"Your being ridiculous. I'm not your student."
"Uh, yeah, you kinda are. You- student teacher. Me- cooperating teacher. Literally in our titles, Aud."
"Okay, fine," she rolled her eyes. "I'll switch to something more appropriate."
"Thank you."
She grabbed his hands and pulled him close. "But how do you thank someone who has taken you from crayons to perfume? It isn't easy, but I'll try..."
"Oh that is so much worse!" He cried pulling his hands away from her.
Audrey laughed and danced around him. "If you wanted the moon I would try to make a start. But I would rather you let me give my heart. To Sir, with love..."
Jon looked down at her with his hands on his waist. "Don't stand so close to me, Lulu."
From the next Saudade chapter:
Shawn had spread himself out to take up every inch of couch space and was drooling on three pillows as he lightly snored.
Audrey was sitting on the love seat with her feet on the arm of the sofa reading a book.
The only place left for Jon was the lounge chair that didn't recline. He was tired and wanted to relax but did not want to be alone.
Jon walked over to Audrey and nudged her knee. She saw the exhaustion on his face and moved so that he could sit next her. He promptly laid his head down in her lap. The arm of the furniture came up under his knees forcing him to lay on his back.
Audrey lifted his head slightly to put a pillow under it then she started peppering his face with light kisses.
He relaxed under her touch until she got to his ear. His eyes went wide then shut tightly and he clenched his teeth.
"Audrey, do that when we're married but for the love of God don't do that now!"
"Oh!" she up abruptly not realizing the impact her kiss would have on him.
