Clarke's POV

"Blasted putrid dog, answer me!" Nia stepped closer, sinking the tip of her sword deeper into Clarke's shoulder, blood trickled down her front and her body shook trying to keep standing. Clarke bared her fangs at the devil woman, growling in the back of her throat choosing to save her energy to wait for the perfect time to strike. If not for the rope attempting to shut her jaws closed, she would have already torn several limbs off. Nia leaned even closer pushing her blade in further, Clarke was sure she intended to skewer clean through her muscles. Clarke lunged forward snagging the tip of Nia's blouse and held on, and gained the satisfaction of hearing the villain curse as Clarke tore the expensive fabric.

"Fuck sake Queen! You can't get that close to her before she's properly tied down!" Finn huffed, straining to keep hold of the ropes lassoed to one of Clarke's front paws. All the hunters were struggling to keep Clarke down, trying their hardest with their own ropes to keep her from tearing down any more of their friends.

xx
When Clarke had stood her ground and faced the demon head on, Nia called the hunters like a coward. She ordered her workers to chain Clarke down, but she refused to make it easy for them. One of the hunters had tried to drug her but Clarke dodged every dart and when the female stepped closer to get a better aim, she slit her throat through the bars. The humans were horrified, watching as their fellow hunter collapsed to the ground grasping at her throat in a poor attempt to save her life. No hunter stepped forward to try to help, they only watched until Nia barked at the humans to grab anything to immobilize Clarke.

She had misjudged the hunter's skills, not actually expecting the humans to be able to rope several of her limbs and force her to lie down, using the bars of her cage to reinforce their grip. Clarke's limbs had been crossed beneath her doing all that they could to hold her still to give Titus the chance to hook up her old chains. But in the hunters' rush to impair all movements they had failed to rope Clarke's most lethal weapon, her fangs. The moment Titus had stepped into her cage and linked a single chain to her back leg, Clarke had twisted around clamping down on his thigh and punctured clean through his flesh, the burst of blood that greeted her tongue informed Clarke she had hit a major artery. She didn't even fight when someone else swung in another lasso to shut her muzzle as much as possible. Hearing that male's agony only fueled Clarke's spirit and she had watched with glee as Finn dragged the damaged one out and she scented his sour but sweet fear.

Nia had become impatient, annoyed that no one had made progress to shackle Clarke and so she stepped into the cage leaving the door wide open despite the humans pleading that she stop. The villain could not care less, her eyes were trained on Clarke, and she could see the ugliness and rage that propelled the sick female forward. Nia had begun using her thin sword to punish Clarke repeatedly, calling her all sorts of nasty things, inflicting pain after pain, not even caring that she was causing harm to herself. The sickly female kept falling and used Clarke as leverage to hoist herself back up to continue slicing into Clarke.

The hunters are unable to convince the old demon to step out of the cage and they fought among themselves on what to do knowing if they let the ropes go, Clarke would demolish them all. For now, all Clarke could do was wait for her chance, so she snarled deep enough that the sound echoed around the room and forced the humans to shout in panic. Finn said something under his breath, not loud enough to hear but obviously it was nothing kind. Clarke glared at him, she was sure that in this moment the male realized she was no animal, He flinched, looking away immediately, muttering something in confusion.

xx

"You were my answer!" Nia was panting, struggling to breathe and she inhaled sharply before starting to cough. She reached up trying to muffle the sound. Even in this state, the deadly woman had the nerve to look at her as though her miserable condition was Clarke's fault.

The old bitch gasped as she managed to normalize her breathing before, she went again, reaching for the sword she had dropped on the ground. But at this closer proximity Clarke noticed the red coating of Nia's palm as she held her weapon tight and swung up slicing across Clarke's open chest wound. She bit back a whimper as the brute went at it again, Clarke shut her eyes retreating into her mind, channeling her human self's energy and begged her sane side to remind Clarke why she still fought. And her human self-provided a bundle of simple yet endearing memories that sparked true joy in Clarke's heart.

"You're doing so well Clarke! Look at you, being all civil," Lincoln would let out a deep belly laugh as he tousled her hair, praising Clarke as she learned how to cook a human meal. He was always so patient with her, he never raised his voice and would guide any outbursts with gentle words and light touches. She chuckled remembering how Jelly would stay perched on her shoulders and Clarke would sneak the feline some of the fish she'd been preparing for dinner. If Lexa or Anya were at the den the fur ball would hide beneath her hair and Clarke could hear the purrs and murmurs as she happily ate the raw food.

"Oh, look blondie, the cost of airplane tickets to Florida are going down, that means you'll get to meet a real-life dolphin very soon," Anya had shown her the computer screen with a bunch of nonsense that Clarke wasn't familiar with. When she only stared at the stupid box Anya would smile and have her sit down as she pointed at each section explaining what was displayed. Teaching her how round trip meant flying to a desired place then flying back with the same plane after so many days; or how economy is a type of seating arrangement; though that ended up causing a whole bunch of new questions like how the fuck did a huge metal bird fly without feathers? Yet all the same Anya took the rest of the day to educate Clarke on
every question that she had without once getting angry with her
.

"I saved you from that pathetic excuse of a boy! I gave you a life of luxury!"

The next blow slashed across her stomach and Clarke hissed squeezing her muzzle shut, not wanting to satisfy the sadistic bitch that was determined to have Clarke give in. The pain is terrible, her skin is torn open in so many places that she doesn't dare to count, but she refused to allow the suffering to provoke her wolf. Clarke feels the rage of her animal side screaming that her efforts are worthless, how she will die for choosing to listen to her human self. She knows the wolf is only wanting to help, believing with all her heart that the mindless life will lead to less pain yet for once her human self is louder, and continues to remind her what she was fighting for.

"You did a great job cleaning up the house baby, thank you," Lexa would kiss her cheek nuzzling the sides of her face much like when she is in her true form. Clarke always melts into her love's touch, practically falling asleep in Lexa's palms. She had drifted off once and Lexa had to quickly catch her before she could fall. Clarke supposed it was dangerous since she had been using a knife to cut up vegetables for Lexa's meal. Even if she had gotten cut, she could have easily healed and moved on, yet Lexa changed her welcome back home greeting all the same. Since that time her love stuck to giving her head scratches or gentle chaste kisses, Clarke pouted for a while, much preferring cheek nuzzles.

"Speak, you filthy monstrosity! I know I heard you, fucking talk to me!" Nia's screech echoed before it was interrupted by another coughing fit. Clarke chanced opening her eyes seeing that the woman had fallen once again but this time a steady stream of blood poured from her gasping mouth. The frail older female trembled with the efforts to gain back her breath and Clarke's ears perked forward hearing Nia sniffle. Nia picked up her head staring Clarke down. The anger was still there, yet it was being covered by a sadness that oddly felt familiar to her.

"I know that you are special, you have always been incredible to me, you are the blessing that rewarded my worst blunder," Nia cried, tears continued to flow and the old woman crawled closer gripping Clarke's face she tangled her fingers into her fur. Clarke was so taken aback by Nia's emotions she mistakenly relaxed her limbs, and the hunters quickly took advantage tying their ropes to any bars within reach. Yet she couldn't look away from Nia's face, she wept heavily like she was experiencing a loss but something else was there.

"Queen Nia, please ste-"

"Why do you want to leave me so badly? How am I not enough for you? Why won't you break?!" Nia flung forward wrapping her arms around Clarke's head resting her forehead against hers, getting Clarke wet with all her tears and mess. "I won't let you go, if my miracle disappears then it would prove my parents were right," Nia kept crying as she clung to Clarke digging her nails into her nape paying no mind to the footsteps coming closer, the hunters intended to take advantage of this moment. Clarke couldn't see anything, she could easily pull away right now and snap the woman's head clean off, but something inside pushed her to do the unthinkable, Clarke transformed.

"Why me?" Clarke demanded, feeling calmer as the ropes fell away from her limbs and she sat within her cage being clung to by a demonic woman in her human form for the very first time. Nia failed to notice the sudden change, didn't even flinch at the impact that caused bruising across her side from Clarke changing forms, no, she only sat there making a scene with her pathetic tears, but her actions didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the humans. Clarke looked up at the hunters baring her fangs, growling low until she met the eyes of the first human to ruin her life. Finn stood there frozen, eyes wide not fazed as the hunters pushed past him knocking him off his feet, the humans were screaming as they scrambled, all of them terrified to witness the impossible, but Finn stayed on the ground stuck in place.

"No humans will leave this room without my permission!" Clarke roared out the command, springing to her feet and shoving Nia off her as she stared the hunters down watching with satisfaction as the humans were forced to do her bidding. She looked to Finn who was trembling and past the smell of her own blood she could smell that the coward had soiled himself. This male had only seen her as a beast to tame, damaging her in ways that Clarke is still learning to heal from, he spared her no mercy as a pup. But now, Clarke knows with every fiber of her soul that the male has finally seen that she was no dog, no pet, but a wolf who understood the dark depths of what humans were capable of and he will be the next one to answer for his crimes.

"I knew it, I knew I was right. You are the same golden pup from before," Nia's scratchy voice gained Clarke's attention and she looked down seeing the female grinning as she reached out touching Clarke's thigh. She swung down batting the female's hand away from her skin, to feel that bitch's touch directly on her skin was disgusting.

"Answer me, you impure soul, why do you have such an obsession with me?! You could have any of the thousands of wolves you have brought here and slaughtered!" Clarke growled out moving away further when Nia reached out for her again. The desperation reflecting on Nia's face made Clarke want to claw the expression off, but she wanted answers first. "Don't you touch me! You may never touch me again!" She roared out forcing the female's hand to drop back to her sides. Instead of being afraid the soulless human laughed,

"My special pet! I was right to kill them. If I hadn't caused that accident, I would never have been blessed with you as my gift," Nia grinned, her teeth looked like she had just eaten fresh kill, that rotten smell inside of her was prominent as she spat out more nonsense, "if only those freaks of nature's sold you to me back then, I would have been happier!" Nia fought against Clarke's command trying to move her arms towards her, but she could not budge so she banged her fists into the ground, "why won't you save me like you did before!" Nia choked again, coughing harder to the point clots of blood sprayed the cement, but Clarke no longer saw anything else as something inside of her mind snapped and a memory knocked her off her feet,

Clarke POV (3 years old)

Clarke squatted low, wiggling her hips, tail batting her sides as she waited for the perfect moment. Her mama and daddy were talking with another wolf that Clarke didn't know, but she remembered that they were looking for a new den and they had been asking several packs if they'd take her family in. Clarke's old home was getting ruined by all the humans, the invasive species had chosen to build a park on the edge of their land, and day by day the humans ruined their woods with their trash and chasing off their prey. So far, a lot of alphas have turned her family away and pointed at her saying something about Clarke being too much of a risk. Mama wouldn't answer her when she asked what they meant, but Clarke didn't care she was just so happy to see so many new places!

"Sir Kane, I promise you that I and my mate will be a valuable asset to your pack," Mama held her head high, as the stranger looked back at her unsure as he glanced at Clarke and that was when she struck, running out of her hiding spot then pouncing up, batting the alpha's chin. The gray wolf jerked back stunned as he stared down at Clarke. His wide eyes matched that of an owl's,

"Clarke!" Daddy yelled at her, but she barked a laugh standing on her hind legs and pawed the stranger's nose, offering a small lick to ask for forgiveness. She stared into the alpha's eyes, they were a deep brown almost black, and they reminded her of an oak tree. Clarke tilted her head curiously seeing the wolf's eye had watered, he seemed lonely, she pawed at his snout again. Kane blinked a few times then barked a laugh as he smiled at Clarke just before Mama shot forward grabbing her by the nape.

"Apologies Sir Kane! She's still so young and such a mischievous pup," Mama whined as she kept hold of Clarke, she busied herself by rocking her body to swing while she dangled. Clarke giggled chattering her teeth as she swayed, she heard the stranger join in her humor and when she looked at him he had a big smile on his muzzle.

"Please don't apologize, a pup should express themselves freely, though I have never met a pup that would out right attack an alpha," the stranger leaned in to rub his nose to Clarke's chuckling as her mama placed her on the ground. Clarke looked back to the wolf and was happy to see that bit of sadness had brighten to something better.

"Clarke has always been…unique she behaves in ways that confuses even us," Daddy smiled at her then leaned down to her height and poked at her side. "Will you do me a favor? Would you fetch me a pretty flower?" Daddy nudged her again encouraging her to go. Clarke nodded, more than happy to listen to her father and trotted off already knowing that she was not to stray too far from her parents.

"Unique how?"

"She doesn't act like the other alpha pups; she'd always mingle with all types of classes. She's even allowed omegas to challenge her, and she mistakes it for a game."

"I am happy to hear that, you and your family may just have a place in my pack. In our family we do not value high titles, and everyone is treated equally, but because we break tradition the Wise Wolves do not favor us,"

"So, if we were to be one with your family, we would be on our own?"

"Yes, and that will be a risk you must be willing to ta-" Clarke quickly grew bored of the adults' talk and sniffed the air, scenting for any floral fragrance, finding something towards the left. Clarke followed the scent, needing to hop a few times as the grass was far taller than she was used to. Her ears twitched with each sound that came close, mostly the birds sang their melodies likely trying to find their own mates. Clarke paused a moment and jumped up high to make sure her parents knew they could see her and luckily, she didn't have to go any further, just ahead was a bundle of forsythias. She circled the plant trying to find a branch that was just right and found it near the top, Clarke pounced on the plant and snapped her muzzle around the branch.

She tugged on the plant, and some petals came loose clinging to her whiskers. The pollen made her sneeze and the petals scattered everywhere. Clarke rubbed at her muzzle cleaning off the petals and then her ears twitched picking up on an odd sound. She glanced around, seeing a few birds circling overhead as one of them was trying to impress the other; there was a squirrel shifting through their home tossing out old food; and then were the wolves still grumbling about the boring stuff. But Clarke couldn't see anyone else, she tilted her head at a loss, then shifted her ears trying to find the voice.

"I-I a mons-"

The voice was so faint it was hard to make out, but Clarke could at least tell that whoever was speaking needed help urgently. She looked towards her parents, but they didn't seem to hear it. Clarke hummed thinking it would be best if she went to investigate. Clarke sat still shifting her ears listening for the proper sound, abandoning her flower mission, she shook out her fur and trotted forward. She smelled a bunch of weird things one of which motivated her to move faster, if there was blood someone really needed help.

"Clarke! Come here!" Her daddy shouted from behind, but his voice was too far back, and she was faster than him, so she kept going. Just ahead was the black river where the roaring monsters ran on but there were two metal beasts that stood still, it looked like they had been attacked. She stopped short of reaching the river seeing human clothing were littered everywhere, the materials were floating on the surface, some were flung over bushes, and among the clothing some looked roughly her size. Clarke looked back to the huge monsters who had been pulled apart, pieces of their insides were covering the black river just like the clothes, and there was the blood she had been smelling,

"I-I'm such a monster," a weak voice quivered, the tone of their voice was filled with pain. Clarke crept closer to one of the monsters, she could hear her parents had caught up and now were changing forms, they spoke about the mess, but she was more interested in the young woman's voice. She looked for the closest article of clothing, finding a long purple shirt, she pawed at the fabric until it laid out flat then muzzled at the end of the shirt tell it opened and shimmed inside. Clarke had to shake off the gross feeling of her fur being pressed down, it made her skin itch, she popped her head out of the opening and checked to make sure the shirt properly covered her. She was sure she'd need to change forms and Mama has always said a wolf can't walk around bare skinned, it scares the humans. She peered up at the tall monster, it's sides where open and within it where some humans but they didn't look well at all, there was too much red.

"No, I did the right thing, right? Show me a sign!" Clarke's ears perked up, she crouched down peering beneath the metal beast's belly and saw a figure curled up on the other side, a human pup? She crawled beneath the monster being careful to avoid the scattered glass, there was an awful bitter smell and the beast still bled, dripping a yellowish liquid, "You should have died with them!" The human screamed, it startled Clarke but still she was determined to help. She inched closer to the human, then ever so slowly she pushed her nose against the young woman's bare waist. The human yelped flinching forward and moved away. Clarke took the opportunity to crawl all the way out and finally faced the human.

She stood still observing the young woman as she did the same. The human was baffled as it stared at Clarke, her mouth opening and closing multiple times. The human's hair was almost the same color as Clarke's coat, though was darker and strips of brown were mixed in, she had nice eyes too, gray like the moon. Clarke smiled to convince her she was friendly but that only frightened her, and she tried to crawl backwards but the human groaned gripping her knee. Clarke peeked at the spot her hands were trying to cover, the human's knee was gashed open, and the bones in her left leg were almost poking out. She whined, feeling sorry for the human then slowly moved closer even when the human threw her hands up,

"Go away! You little shit wh-what are you doing?" The young woman was tense all over, Clarke tried to calm her by licking her arm first, soothing some cuts then gently nudged at the young woman's hands. Hesitantly the human moved her hands away and Clarke began to heal the wound, her tongue grazed over something hard she had to guess it was the bone, poor human. The young woman winced, twitching every time Clarke healed at the open flesh yet she didn't push her away she was letting her help. Clarke's tail wagged, excited to be able to make a new friend, she was almost done with closing the cut when the stranger from before came around the corner though he'd changed into his human self,

"Clarke? Oh, umm hello there, what's your name?" Kane asked as Clarke moved back, she lifted a paw and licked at her fur to get rid of the taste, the human's blood wasn't healthy there was something else there like she had a sickness. When she looked at the young woman she was still staring at Clarke, she held the gaze a bit then she smiled,

"I'm Nia Queen. Is this your dog?" The young woman reached out to Clarke running a single finger down her snout then poked her nose. Clarke barked out a laugh, the touch had tickled. She didn't mind the petting, but she didn't like being called a dog, she'd have to prove that she was something far more amazing then some house pet, so she shut her eyes and focused really hard on her human form,

"N-no she's my friend's daughter," Kane answered honestly but his voice was weird, Clarke's joints snapped and expanded the stretch stung but only for a moment and then she was in her human body. Clarke opened her eyes checking her hands, seeing claws and strips of fur lining up her forearms, she was stuck in mid transformation. Her ears drooped back, and she felt her tail tucking underneath. Clarke spared a glance at the older wolf feeling the need to cry,

"No good, not right," Clarke whimpered, ashamed. Kane quickly moved closer but then the young woman suddenly shot out grabbing Clarke and held her tight,

"You are perfect, don't say that," Nia squeezed Clarke, holding her firm as she pressed her face into Clarke's fur, she could feel the human's tears falling against her head, so she comforted the young woman back running her claws through her hair. "Are you, my sign?" She whispered, Clarke giggled her breath tickling her ear, she nuzzled under Nia's chin to avoid her ears being teased. She heard her mama speaking not too far away and a little voice answered back, Clarke drew away from the human peaking towards where she heard them. Kane had to have heard her mama too, the alpha looked to her first then at the human, with some hesitation he turned away and headed towards the commotion. Her daddy was over there too, she can hear his grumbles as he talked with whoever was over there, Clarke grew more curious,

"You must be my miracle, something like you, coming up to me out of everyone has to mean I have been forgiven" Nia's hand came up grabbing Clarke's cheek and with more force then needed she made her meet her eyes again. She stared back at the human feeling sad for her, why was she so sad? What could she have possibly done if she needed a stranger to forgive her? Clarke gave her best smile than reached up grabbing the human's face and pressed her nose to hers, blessing the young woman with a wolf's admiration.

"You're a good human, I forgive you," Clarke grinned her tail wagged cheerfully as Nia kept looking at her even as her body snapped back to her real form. She wasn't sure if she was special enough to help the human feel better but by the way the young woman slowly smiled Clarke must have done something right. Out of nowhere a scream pierced the air like lightning striking down a tree, the sound filled with such agony Clarke felt her stomach drop; her body mirroring the pain and she cried out curling into her chest panting hard. She pushed away from the human, feeling a desperate urge to comfort whoever had yelled. Clarke stumbled backwards and headed towards her family and the new voice that had affected her, but then she felt a grip at her nape that cut into her skin,

"Where do you think you're going? I'll pay that guy whatever he wants, you belong to me now," Nia yanked Clarke back and she was stunned as the human dangled her in the air in front of her face. Clarke didn't know what happened to the young woman, but she had suddenly changed as quick as a rabbit fleeing, the human she was looking at was not the same one, she had no spark in her eyes. Nia's free hand lifted stroking Clarke's snout, "eyes like the sky, so free and vast, your new name will be Blue," Nia kissed Clarke's nose and instinctively she snapped her teeth cutting into flesh and then she was suddenly struck across the muzzle, her yelp loud enough to catch her parent's attention.

"Let go of my baby!" Her mama snarled from somewhere, but Nia didn't flinch, she only held on to Clarke like she was a pouch and walked towards her family, the young woman limped on her left side, and she had to use the metal beast to keep up right. She could do nothing but hang from the human's grip as Nia demanded to keep Clarke in exchange for money. The adults snarled back and forth, Kane was still with them, and he called for other wolves, his voice rung far, and she could hear his pack answering him. Clarke yelped as Nia held her higher into the sky and she got a good view of the mess of metal beasts and the pack of wolves that began to form. A flash of white caught her attention, she sniffed finding a sweet tinge that Clarke remembers, she searched for it seeing her daddy held on to a helpful flower. Her father held the special flower in his muzzle as he stood over a small form, Clarke tilted her head curiously, he was guarding a human pup when another wolf bared its fangs towards the little girl.

"Who says I must give her to you? How about you just name your price, you freak of nature," Nia laughed at the other wolves, not seeming to care how they were slowly creeping in. Clarke was distracted as she studied the little human. She was crying as she held on to her chest and Clarke's heart panged seeing blood seeping down her sides.

She felt that weird feeling again, pushing her to help the little girl, so Clarke pushed out her paws swinging enough until she could turn around and snapped her teeth into Nia's forearm. Nia screamed, hurling Clarke into the ground. The force scraped her legs, and she whimpered but still got to her paws and ran towards her daddy. Clarke didn't care how Nia yelled for her to come back, nor when the wolves pounced on the human. She heard their alpha commanding his wolves to spare the human's life saying that the Lunar tribe will fix the human. She didn't care about any of it as she slowly approached her daddy and stared at the little girl, he dropped the flower quickly then leaned down healing Clarke's scrapes. The little girl stared back at Clarke, she let out whimpers every time she breathed yet her attention was solely on her. Clarke's chest became so warm, like being in the middle of a wolf pile, filled with so much warmth her tail puffed out, she barked though stopped when the girl flinched.

"Protect her Clarke, Daddy is going to talk with those nice humans about the mean one, ok?" She looked at him and nodded, watching as he quickly trotted off heading towards the side of the river where some humans were making their way out of the woods. The humans bowed to her daddy, and he did the same before he focused on one of them, a female who looked like she been playing in soot. The lady spoke with her daddy while occasionally glancing over at her and the girl, she wasn't sure what they spoke of, but the girl looked sad when she looked at the other metal beast. Clarke felt something touch her chest and she checked seeing the little girl's hand was stroking at her fur.

"Your fur looks just like my other mama's," she whispered. Clarke squinted confused but paid the statement no mind, instead she noticed how the little girl was shivering so she moved closer curling around the human's shoulders offering her warmth. The girl slowly stopped shaking though still whimpered as her wound kept bleeding, Clarke leaned down healing the cut as much as she could, her blood tasted sweet. "I want my mamas," the girl whined as she reached up tangling her fingers into her fur. She wondered where the human's parents were, why weren't they with their pup?

Clarke continued to watch her surroundings, seeing the wolves had circled Nia keeping her in place as the new humans approached, Nia was staring at Clarke tears streaming yet her expression was pure anger. Clarke curled up more laying her tail across the girl's torso, that human was strange, Nia didn't seem to be all that bad at first, but something was off about her. The new humans faced Nia and then one of them, the young female, held out a box and from it flashed a bright light somehow silencing Nia, the painted human spoke like an alpha giving the human a command. Yet Nia trembled, her whole face turning red, sweat beaded down her skin, and trickles of red fell from her nose,

"You have done a good job Clarke, but now it's time for Lexa to go with the healers," Mommy smiled as she crouched down reaching for the girl and Clarke growled under her breath but still moved away letting her mama take the human pup. Her mama struggled a little with getting the girl to let go of Clarke's fur, Lexa whimpered as she loosened her grip and Mama cradled the girl close. Clarke followed for a moment and whined when Lexa held out her hand towards her, but Clarke halted when she heard her daddy call for her. She didn't want the little girl to leave, she couldn't explain it, but she felt as though she was losing someone important yet still Clarke stayed in place and ignored the stinging in her eyes as she then went to her daddy who was now asking the soot girl to use the wooden box on Clarke, he said something about not wanting his pup to be haunted by this day.

Present time

Clarke gasped holding onto to her head, panting as she tried to regain her senses. She struggled to remember where she was as the memory had thrown her off. A fragment of her life was solved, like a puzzle piece that had been left to collect dust had found its place on the board. Clarke laughed, being sure to keep this new memory of her parents and erase the one that caused her so much pain. She wrapped her arms around herself still feeling the warmth of her family's love, they had adored Clarke more than anything in the world, they had even left their own pack to join another's when the old alpha felt threatened by her appearance.

She could remember so much, though the memory that stood out most was how Clarke and Lexa were always fated to be. Now it made sense why she had felt so sad as a pup, how seeing Lexa being taken away made her both angry and lonely, and one single human tried to destroy everything for her own gain. Clarke snapped her eyes open sensing something near and she bared her fangs meeting the eyes of the twisted monster, she swung clawing Nia's forearm not flinching at the cry she let out and got back to her feet as the old witch held onto the wound.

"Why," she demanded checking on the other hunters seeing that only Finn was left. The rest had fled while her memories had resurfaced, she must have lost control of her command in that process. Clarke will hunt each one of those humans down and have the hunters suffer for all the innocent lives they have taken.

"What monster would kill the people who birthed and raised you?" Clarke snarled., Her ears twitched hearing voices from the outside, maybe it was the hunters searching for a new way to subdue her? Those trashy humans were more loyal than Clarke had believed.

"Those people don't deserve to be called parents, all they have ever done was try to control me, but they never could," Nia laughed releasing her new wound and allowed her life to spill Clarke's nose wrinkled at the underling stench of rot. "They scolded, withheld, and caged me. They wanted me to be their perfect obedient daughter, but I refused and finely those bastards decided to send me abroad to hell knows where," Nia chuckled, leaning back into the cage. Clarke flinched when the door to the basement swung open slamming against the opposite wall and wolves she never met came running in, among them was Octavia, but Nia didn't even seem to notice.

"They were going to abandon me, take away my rights to the company. Even though Azgeda would have fallen if not for the changes I made!" Nia hissed out slamming her fist into the ground, she hadn't noticed the new company nor how the wolves slowly circled around them. Octavia got a hold of Finn gripping the male by the back of his shirt and he did not fight he barely registered what was happening.

"I wasn't going to lose all that I built just because two idiots were worried for my mental health," Nia spat out shaking her head and looked up when another she-wolf waltzed into the cage, the elder Dara tried to step in front of Clarke, but she snarled shoving the older wolf back baring her fangs,

"You inc-"

"Shut your mouth! You will not interfere!" Clarke barked out causing Dara to flinch. Commanding the older female had made the whole room hold their breath, but Clarke paid them no mind and turned back to Nia. The devil had the nerve to smile, and she growled snatching the female by her throat and Clarke held her high above the ground.

"All that you have done was out of greed, every single thing you have to your name came from lives that will never have peace," she felt the fur spring along her forearms, her wolf pushing to be free, but Clarke held firm wanting to end it all with her own hands.

"Clarke stop! It's over now, Nia and the rest of the hunters are going to answer for their crimes in the human ways, they'll be put behind bars for the rest of their lives," Octavia appeared on Clarke's right side she tried to reach out, but Clarke quickly snapped her fangs warning the wolf off and Clarke's heart pang seeing her former friend's sadness. She shook her head focusing back on the demon and squeezed harder until she struggled to breathe and yet the female still smiled.

"My beautiful wolf, the one who saved me gets to take my life, what a perfect ending," Nia coughed up spraying Clarke in her filth, she wanted to smack the female across the mouth in the same manner Nia would do when Clarke did something she hated, "my Blue, no matter what you do in life you will never be able to forget me," Clarke growled, rage striking a fury across her body, her bones cracking shifting mid-way before Clarke put a stop to it, she had no doubt she looked like those werewolf beasts, the fur along her forearms stood tall and her fangs cut along her mouth from where she clenched them. The villain was right, Clarke wished it weren't true but there was no way of forgetting Nia, no matter how hard she tried.

"Enough pup, release the human," Dara commanded snarling at Clarke to add more force to make her listen, the older wolf came up behind Nia to stare Clarke down. She felt the power to her words, there was no denying that her wolf wanted to obey, to drop the human responsible for giving her hell, the animal in her wanted to be a good girl. Clarke's arm shook as Dara stepped closer repeating herself baring all her fangs and she felt a tickle under her nose the sensation fell across her lips, and she tasted her own blood but still she held on to the devil's throat, "Stop! You're going to damaged yourse-"

"No," Clarke spat out, a tension built between her and Dara. Something had tied them together as a tether of some sort had weaved around Clarke's mind and turned her brain into a pincushion. A steady, throbbing pain struck her repeatedly each time Dara snarled. Clarke fought against the pain even when she could feel all her wounds bleed out from the force of resisting Dara's command. That connection was getting in her way.

"Not you, nor any other elder wolf, or human will ever have the power to control me again!" The tension snapped between the two alphas and Dara fell backwards stumbling against the cage and the older wolf stared up at Clarke stunned. Clarke held her head higher feeling her body fill with an energy she has never experienced, and it washed over her like a fresh wave of healing. She turned to the groveling human.

"You may be right Nia, I won't be able to forget you, but you'll also never forget this." Clarke brought the older female closer to her face and she growled out, "All I see in you is a monster." Clarke smirked seeing Nia's eyes widen and her brows furrowed preparing to spit out more of her venom. Clarke closed her fist and unleashed her strength; the sound of those frail bones snapping lifted a weight from her shoulders, and it made her feel like she could fly.

"Griffin, what have you done," Dara whispered, Clarke spared her barely a glance as she walked outside of the cage then towards Finn who had yet to speak or move. The male hadn't torn his gaze away from her since the beginning. That broken expression would have made Clarke feel guilty if she hadn't known what he was capable of. She had no room in her heart for those that willingly hurt others out of greed, she would not forgive them, not for as long as she breathed,

"Blood for blood. That woman and this man have taken more from me than any wolf should ever experience." No wolf stepped in Clarke's way; in fact, they made a path allowing her to grab Finn. She could feel the wolves' fear of her as they bowed their heads and quickly moved further away. Clarke couldn't care less as to why they were suddenly treating her like a higher alpha, she just wanted to put an end this nightmare.

"W-w-well yes I would agree b-"

"I wasn't the only wolf to suffer, other packs have been slaughtered. There's no way you couldn't have heard about them. Where were you wise wolves then?" Clarke spat out. "How can alphas who claim to be our protectors, who say they know best, yet cause wolves harm?" Clarke didn't even give Finn the chance to speak before using her claws to pierce into his jugular and threw his body to the ground.

"You said I wasn't trustworthy, but all I have heard from you wolves are lies and manipulations," She watched as the male fumbled on the ground tears streaming as his life drained away and Clarke turned back to face Dara. The older wolf was still on the ground hovering over the rotten devil,

"I-I cannot speak for Yanric nor Kali, their actions are their own to atone for. But you have bro-"

"Just stop, enough is enough," Octavia spoke up surprising Clarke, not noticing the wolf had come up to her holding out a piece of clothing. Not just any piece of clothing, it was Lexa's shirt. She could scent Lexa; she smelled her friends even their pups on the shirt. It even carried scattered remains of fur, her mate was with them. Why? Clarke snatched the clothing out of Octavia's hands, and she was ready to use her teeth, her former friends didn't accept Lexa, they hated her, all of them made that perfectly clear when they turned their backs on her,

"She needs you; Lexa has taken the nightblood and she won't survive if you aren't by her side."

Clarke froze, her rage fizzling out as quickly as it had rose and with it, she felt like her insides were being clawed apart, with pain focused on Lexa's mark. Why the hell did Lexa take that risk? They both knew how dangerous that blood could be, Anya was so perfectly clear about Lexa needing her!

Without hesitation she changed forms, breaking her bones faster than her tail could flick and she sprinted out the door ramming wolves and Trikru members out of the way. Clarke found the nearest window and hurled herself through it, broken glass rained everywhere. Some of it even got embedded in her open wounds. Clarke slammed into the ground, and she hastily pushed back onto her paws. Voices called out for her as she flew across the lands but not even one mattered, they all paled in comparison to the faint sound of Lexa's whispered words,

"Clarke, I need you…"
