Tw: Slight mention of child abuse
"Evieā¦" both boys began at the same time, causing her to shake her head as she knew she shouldn't have said that. "Just don't," Evie told the boys as she didn't want to be reasoned with right now. Evie honestly couldn't believe she had even said that out loud.
Sure she had been looking after Mal since the day she was born, but that didn't make Mal hers. Evie didn't know why she had just said that. It was probably just her fear of what Maleficent could do with Mal that caused her protective and possessive side to come out.
Before anyone could say anything else though Maleficent came back with Mal as she just pushed her towards them again. "Enough with the distractions that's not why I came here. You better fix yourselves up. You're going to Auradon all of you are," Maleficent told the four of them, joining back with her henchmen. Mal just looked at her mom in shock.
The young girl didn't know too much about Auradon. She mostly knew that it was the place where all the royals came from and that it was because of them that they lived the way they did. "Are you coming too?" Mal asked Maleficent not wanting to leave her mommy behind.
"No, I'm staying here. You're going without me," Maleficent replied while still glaring at the young girl. "No I'm not going! I don't wanna go without you!" Mal cried out as she clung onto Maleficent. Maleficent just looked over in complete disgust as she just roughly pushed the young girl back.
"What did I say about showing weakness!" Maleficent scolded while pushing Mal back further. "I don't wanna go! I wanna stay here!" Mal replied back not caring that she was arguing against her mom again. "I do not care what you want! You will listen to me! I make the decisions, not you!" The evil Fae screamed out while grabbing Mal's tiny wrist when she saw the young girl about to make a run for it.
"I don't wanna go to Auradon! I wanna stay here!" Mal cried out again not wanting to leave her only home behind. Mal didn't like the idea of being thrown into a new place especially not without her mommy to be there too. It was scary and she still hadn't even proven yet to her mom that she can be evil like her. Mal couldn't just leave now.
"Again I do not care! I own you and you will do what I tell you to do! Do I make myself clear!" Maleficent told Mal in her harsh voice as she just tightened her grip. "No! I don't wanna go! I don't wanna go to that boring place!" Mal whined out while trying her hardest to get away from Maleficent's tight grip. This didn't seem to work though as Maleficent just tightened her grip even more.
"Owie!" The young girl called out while trying her hardest to hold back her tears that were starting to slip down her tiny face again. The other three watched, trying their hardest to not make the situation worse.
They honestly didn't know how to feel about this. On one hand they were finally going to be getting off this prison. On the other hand they didn't know how they felt about leaving behind the only place they've only known to go to some boarding school with a bunch of people that most likely hated them.
Not to mention the situation with Mal. It was killing them again to see the young girl in so much pain. It wasn't fair to her. She was a scared little girl and clearly not ready to be completely uprooted. She was still too young to express her feelings well and this was causing her to have outbursts.
"Oh but think of all the perfect princes!" Evie squealed out in her fake ditzy voice trying her best to turn the conversation around and hopefully help Mal even just a little bit. "Yucky!" Mal called out while giving Evie a disgusted look. Evie had to hold herself back from laughing at Mal's adorable disgusted face.
"I know right, so gross," Evie responded back knowing that it was best to agree with Mal. The goal was to distract the young purplette toddler and to hopefully calm her down. Arguing with Mal would just make it worse and completely undo what she was going for in the first place.
This action made Mal giggle before quickly composing herself again. She couldn't be seen showing any signs of weakness after all. Jay and Carlos noticing what Evie was doing decided to join in as well.
"Yeah and I don't do uniforms unless they're leather. You feel me," Jay jokingly replied back hoping to help Evie with keeping the conversation changing. "And I heard they allow dogs in Auradon. Mom says they're rabid pack animals that eat boys that don't behave," Carlos joined in trying to help too with keeping Mal and Maleficent distracted. He also did kind of have this fear as well though.
The Isle didn't allow dogs mostly due to Cruella and what she had done. This being something that Carlos was grateful about. He didn't know whether his mom was telling the truth or not, but he still rather not risk it in case it was the truth. "Yeah we no go!" Mal screamed out filling Maleficent with more rage as she just dug her nails into Mal's tiny wrist and further tightened her grip.
Mal tried her hardest not to react to this not wanting to be weak but the tighter the grip got the harder it became as she just cried out in pain. "Stop it! Owie!" Mal cried out in agony just wanting the pain to go away. "Stop! You're going to break her wrist!" Evie exclaimed not being able to hold back anymore.
She had been trying her best to keep up her ditzy princess persona but this was too much. Evie couldn't just sit here and watch this anymore. It was like a stab in the heart seeing Mal the way she was. Her tiny face was turning red with tears flowing down. It was too much. Maleficent just ignored Evie's pleas as she turned back to her young daughter.
"It'll stop when you agree," Maleficent told Mal who cried more. Mal didn't want to give in, but she didn't like the pain. It wasn't stopping and she needed it to stop. Mal could feel her body start to heat up from the pain. "Stop, I'll go!" Mal cried out not being able to take it anymore.
Maleficent just scowled as she twisted Mal's tiny wrist before releasing it. "If you ever disrespect me again I will snap it off! Do I make myself clear! Now go get fixed up and meet me back at home!" Maleficent cruelly told Mal as she pushed her back again and walked off with her minions.
Once Maleficent had gone away the other three villain kids wasted no time as they quickly ran over to their youngest member. "She took my candy," Mal cried out as she looked over at the three of them. She had really wanted that lollipop and was still upset that it had been taken from her. She didn't care how vulnerable she looked right now to her crew.
"Hey it's okay baby dragon. I'll get you another one alright," Jay told Mal in his gentlest voice. Jay wasn't the best with this kinda stuff but Mal was their baby vk and it hurt seeing her crying and upset especially over something she was so excited and happy about just a few minutes ago.
"You will?" Mal asked Jay as she looked over with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. Jay looked over and smiled a little while nodding. He had no clue how he was going to find another candy like that but he knew he was going to try. "Of course I will," Jay told Mal, trying his best to sound confident.
"Yay you the best!" Mal exclaimed excitedly as she tried to get up but as soon as she moved her wrist the pain started up again causing the young girl to cry out as she fell back again. "Okay here we go let me help you," Evie whispered to Mal as she carefully helped Mal up making sure not to touch her wrist.
"I'm otay," Mal told Evie, trying her best to sound strong despite the stinging pain in her wrist. "M it's okay she's not here. You can let it out," Evie told the younger girl while carefully picking her up and walking towards the hideout to help get her cleaned up. Evie knew that it probably wasn't the best idea to have Maleficent's child being picked up and carried like a baby but she didn't care.
No one was really around and it was obvious that Mal was getting tired. Evie knew that Mal liked to act grown up but at the end of the day she was still a little girl.
Mal continued to hold back her tears as she allowed Evie to pick her up. She normally would have objected to this but she was too tired and in too much pain to really fight it. In fact instead of fighting she just laid her head down as she closed her eyes. Evie smiled when she saw this as she just pulled Mal closer to her and entered the hideout.
"Is she sleeping?" Carlos asked Evie once the three of them had entered the hideout while Jay was out trying to find Mal another lollipop. Evie just slowly nodded as she carefully placed Mal down on the couch and tucked her in with her "secret" dragon. "I think so yeah," Evie whispered softly. She didn't want to wake Mal up when she was napping. "Aren't we supposed to be meeting up at Maleficent's place?" Carlos asked Evie who sighed.
Evie really didn't want to be doing this but she knew that technically Carlos was right. Maleficent was mad enough as it was right now. "I guess technically but she did say to get cleaned up first. I'll let her sleep a little longer while I take a look at her wrist," Evie told the younger boy trying to stall as much as she could.
Evie didn't want to have to go back and face their parents again. It was obvious that whatever Maleficent was planning wouldn't be done alone. She liked to act like she hated her but Evie knew that deep down Maleficent and her mom were basically partners in crime along with Cruella and Jafar. If Maleficent was involved most likely all of their parents would be too. The thought of having to face all 4 of them at the same time was absolutely terrifying.
Not to mention the fact that Mal was still napping and in pain. Evie didn't want to even think about what Maleficent would want from them and most importantly Mal. There was a reason Maleficent wanted them to go to Auradon. Maleficent didn't care about them and she couldn't stand Auradon. There was something she was planning involving this and Evie didn't know if she was ready to find out what that plan was.
"Shouldn't you wait until she's awake to do that?" Carlos asked his older friend who just shook her head trying to not think about her fears as she grabbed the first aid kit. "No, she'll fight me. She doesn't like admitting when she needs help besides it'll be easier this way," Evie whispered again, still not wanting to wake the young girl.
"Right yeah but she's not going to like that when she does wake up," Carlos whispered back. "I know but it needs to get done. I'm hoping it's just bruised but I don't think that's going to be the case," Evie told Carlos as she opened up the first aid kit and gently lifted up Mal's wrist to take a look at it.
