Lloyd POV: After they joined us for that training session, Kai and Yuko continued to get stronger. By the end of the month, Kai was finally back at the Bounty, and Yuko was able to move around without much pain. Though she has tried several times to leave without saying anything, Kai prepared for that, and she's still here for treatment.

It was almost dark out, and nothing really happened all day. I was at the main computer while Kai and Nya were talking quietly to each other. She really hasn't let him out of her sight since we rescued him. The others were hanging out on the deck.

Then Zane walked in and said, "The police chief has a request for us."

"What is it?" I asked, Kai and Nya both looked at him too.

"There has been some trouble right outside of Ninjago City, and they're not sure if they can handle it." He explained, but Nya looked a little concerned.

"Kai, do you want to come along?" she asked, and he took a small breath.

"It'll be fine. I have to try to get back in the rhythm." he said, smiling at her.

She didn't look very convinced, but she nodded to him. I wasn't sure that he was ready to join the fight just yet. But there was no way that anyone would convince him otherwise.

So we all headed out to the location that we're given. Zane and Nya flew the Bounty, and the rest of us waited on the deck. Almost immediately, Cole walked up to me.

"Is Kai going to be okay with this?" he asked, kinda whispering.

"He wanted to try. But we should keep an eye on him just to be safe." I answered, and he nodded in agreement.

Once we got there, we quickly went to the place the chief talked about. It was an abandoned warehouse that was really big and had a lot of holes in the walls. But nothing seemed out of the ordinary at first glance.

"It seems quiet." Kai mentioned, on edge a little after we found nothing outside.

We went inside and found it was completely bare of anything. Like someone took everything out. I was right about to say something when the doors slammed shut behind us and sent me flying with a strong kick to the back.

I landed in the middle of the floor, and Zane and Cole were instantly at my side. I looked up and saw the others bracing themselves in front of us. And the guy was still in the shadows, but I could tell that whoever it was is gigantic.

"How easy it was to trick you all." He spoke in a raspy, hollow voice. Making Kai freeze up and become shaky.

The guy stepped out of the shadows, and he looked exactly like those guards in that destroyed realm. He was just bigger and had more decorated armor.

Kai slowly backed away, looking terrified. Nya saw this and moved to stand a little in front of him.

I immediately jumped up and said, "Who are you?!"

"One that will deliver him to the lord." was all he said before rushing towards us.

Kai jumped back, and I blocked his blow. Nya grabbed Kai, who looked so terrified towards Zane, and they ran out. He tried to follow them and shoved me away. But Cole cut him off and punched him into the wall. He got up immediately, but Jay shot so much lightning at him that he went down to his knees. Nya wasted no time, and as soon as it was clear, she drove her spear into his back. He screamed and started to slowly crumble to ash, but he didn't explode like the first we encountered.

He looked up at us and said, "I won't be the last. Malic will have what he wants."

That's when he finally exploded into ash, but I didn't care at that point. I was more worried about how he got here and who this Malic was. And what he wanted with Kai.

Zane POV: I got Kai to the Bounty as fast as I could, and he dropped to the floor as soon as we were on board. He hugged himself tightly and took shaky breaths.

Before, whenever he was scared, Kai would push through. Ignoring it so he could focus and made it seem like he wasn't scared. But now, it was like everything in his body was paralyzed with fear. It was more than a little worrying to see him like this.

"Kai, are you alright?" I asked, gently and knelt down to him.

He didn't look at me right away. I think he was settling himself first before whispering, "I thought they could be here…"

"Who? Can you tell me?" I was trying to not pressure him into talking, but I do want to know what caused this.

Again he hesitated before saying, "That… was a general of… his army."

He didn't say anything else, only hugged himself tighter and closed his eyes. Very clear signs that he could handle any more questions. I tried to help him up, but he didn't want to move.

I didn't push it and looked over at the building and didn't see much. So we could wait a while and Nya would be the best person to comfort him once they returned.

But there was an aura around all of this that gave me a very bad feeling for the future.
