Guest - Well I'm glad you guys are still interested in Home ALoud, I'll update on Christmas just to spite that one asshole who mocked me last year for missing Christmas lmao
Hairymelon1122 & Cornholio - Well I can't comment on whether the endgame is Ronniecoln but I agree she was definitely being petty, and I can go ahead and say unfortunately he's probably not going no contact with his family.
Omi Twilight & Delquae - I'd have to disagree, I made her unreasonable in chapter one by design because sometimes (a lot of times) people are unreasonable in real life, but as far as chapter 2, if you broke up with someone because you weren't comfortable with their relationship with someone and then you later figure out they were cheating wouldn't you be mad? The inspiration for this fic were cheating stories I'd hear all the time where the women of the family would side with the girlfriend for whatever reason and that's why it's written the way it is.
"So guys, any ideas on how to handle this?" Lincoln asked the group.
"Well, you're the man with the plan aintcha?" Liam replied with Zach and Rusty replied in agreement, making Lincoln chuckle.
"Heh, fair enough, Well-" As Lincoln was talking his phone began ringing. Lincoln started fumbling to get to his phone, his anxiety through the roof, he didn't know who was calling him but any phone call at this moment couldn't be good news.
"Oh my god.." Lincoln said with clear dread in his face.
"What!?" The group asked in unison.
"It's my dad." Lincoln said answering the phone, knowing this conversation was going to be painful. "H-hello?" Lincoln said, answering the call.
"Son, it's me." Lynn Loud Sr. sighed. "Son, what's going on? I thought I raised you better than this." These words hit Lincoln hard, but his disappointed tone hit harder.
"Dad, whatever they're saying, it isn't true! You have to believe me!" Lincoln begged.
"Son, you know I want to, but they literally have pictures of you." The Loud Father explained.
"Those pictures are fake dad I swear!" Lincoln continued to plead.
"Fake? Wait… Is this that new technology I've been hearing about? Ding Dang AI is gonna ruin the world." Lynn Sr. complained.
"No Dad, I-I think someone just edited an actual photo of us to make it look like we were kissing." Lincoln explained.
"Jeez Sport, I really want to believe you here, but that story sounds a bit…. wild?" Lynn said, causing Lincoln to sigh.
"I know but if I could talk to the girls, specifically Lisa, then maybe I could get to the bottom of this and-"
"Lincoln I don't know, I've been trying to get the girls to talk it out with you, but you know how they feel about cheating," Lynn said, nearly making Lincoln drop his knew all too well about how his sisters viewed cheating.
Five years ago his own sister was cheated on in a way that affected her deeply. Leni had entertained a relationship with Scott from Scotland, but as her High School years came to an end and it became more and more clear that their long distance relationship wasn't going to work, they called it quits. As they say, one door closes, another opens. With the help of Lisa, Leni was able to enroll in a university in hopes to earn her business degree, under the urging of her mother. With the support of her mom and tutoring from Lisa, Leni was able to keep up with her work and intern with Clothing companies and even fashion designers. Soon Leni even found herself entangled with a young man named Jeremy, an aspiring model. It was no wonder he aspired to be a model in Leni's eyes, he was gorgeous and stylish. The two would become inseparable, and they made the perfect match for each other, Jeremy would model for Leni, making her clothes look stylish just by association, and Leni would provide him the most trendsetting clothes to match his unique swag. Due to this combination both would see success within their 2 year relationship. Leni went on to design for major brands, and up and coming brands, she even did some modeling herself. Jeremy was quickly thrusted into the modeling world due to his work with Leni, modeling everything from clothes, jewelry, to even guns. This duo was primed to take over the fashion world and her family couldn't have been more proud and happy for her.
During their first summer break together as a couple Leni really wanted to visit her family, and being joined at the hips with her, Jeremy decided to visit as well. Upon first impressions Luna, Luan, Lola, and Lily were smitten with Jeremy, not only was he tall and handsome, he was quite the charming young man, even Lana and Lucy couldn't help but fall to his charms. The only real hold outs were Lynn Sr, Rita, Lori, & Lisa. They had no real qualms against Jeremy, as he seemed like a nice down to earth guy, they were just extremely overprotective of Leni, as they didn't want anyone taking advantage of her. The thought of Jeremy using Leni for her body and as a personal stylist in order to climb the ladder of the fashion world quicker crossed Lisa's mind; she didn't quite believe it, but she acknowledged it as a possibility. As for Lynn she had no real complaints, she felt he was a bit too much of a "pretty boy" and too worried about his looks, but acknowledged he might be a perfect match for her older sister, and as for Lincoln, all he wanted was for Leni to be happy.
While some family members had their concerns, they couldn't help but watch Leni and Jeremy's interactions with a smile on their face. Despite their doubts, it was clear what they had was indeed young love. It was almost like watching Lori and Bobby when they first started dating, except less cringe and more heartwarming. They talked about fashion and designs with such clear and mutual passion, and when Leni would say something stupid or silly instead of facepalming or looking at her like she's retarded, he'd laugh and say how funny or silly she was. Whenever she was clueless about something he'd lovingly guide her with a smile on his face, he was genuinely happy to be with her and help her instead of getting irritated like her siblings would. By the end of the trip Jeremy had gotten the approval, and appreciation of all of Leni's family, even Lynn Sr.
Everything was perfect, until it wasn't….
Jeremy was living on his own, but as he'd found out New York is not a cheap place to live, so he'd move in with two roommates. Leni however had a dorm room all to herself that she could easily afford thanks to all the work she did designing and modeling she had already secured a well paying position at a company, so the couple would spend most their free time there, Jeremy would spend a good chunk of the nights there too, something Leni was very careful about hiding, especially from her father. Usually Jeremy would spend the weekends or at least saturdays over at Len's, but for the past 2 weeks Leni had been seeing less and less of Jeremy, and his excuse would always be that he's working late or working on a major business deal, and as Leni would soon find out, he wasn't completely lying.
Between her school work, intern work, and work work, Leni was a busy young woman, but she came to realize that she had the greatest work ethic of anyone in her family. Whenever she got the chance, Leni made sure to thank her mom for convincing her to go to college for a business degree, as Leni felt she found her niche. However, juggling her work life, school life, and love life was difficult, and being the airhead Leni was, sometimes she forgot deadlines for assignments, this one was for a final design for a fashion company she was interning for known as "Rent a Runway". She could have emailed or faxed the material but it was pretty late and Leni feared if she did that it would go unnoticed and that she needed to hand deliver the work herself, and that's what she planned to do. Leni threw on a coat and some boots and called herself a uber, as she enjoyed her ride to the building of a company she interned at, a pit of anxiety rose up within her and for the life of her she couldn't tell why. Leni had nerves of steel, she never felt nervous or anxious, according to her sister Lori she was too dumb to even know when she should feel nervous, but here she was, knots in her stomach. Leni kindly thanked her uber driver pushing back her ominous anxious feelings, but as she went into the building and got deeper towards her bosses office the more she felt like shitting herself. Leni knocked on her bosses door but to Leni's relief she got no response, why did this relieved Leni? She didn't know, she really did need to get these designs to her boss and this was inconvenient for her but she still couldn't help but feel relieved. Leni opted to leave to just work with the lady working the front desk who was about to leave herself, but then Leni heard a faint noise. "Mrs. 'insert generic fashion designer name'? Is that you?" Leni being a little weirded out decided to pick the lock, something terrible could be going on in there and maybe this is why Leni felt so anxious. She quickly picked the lock and opened the door and she immediately dropped her new designs and jaw in disbelief. It was her boss and perfect boyfriend frozen like deer as they were half naked in the midst of still putting their clothes on. Leni put her hands over her mouth in disbelief, but as reality sank she began to fan herself, afraid she'd faint from shock Leni turned around to quickly leave, but Jeremy quickly ran for her.
"Leni, this isn't what you think!" Jeremy pleaded, grabbing her shoulder.
"OMGosh OMGosh!" Leni continued to fan herself. "I know you- No, I know EVERYONE thinks I'm an idiot, but STOP IT!" Leni shouted as she slapped his hand away. "I'm not dumb enough to fall for that." She said with tears struggling to stay in her eyes as she turned around and ran out the building.
The next few days were somewhat of a blur for Leni who spent her days and nights in bed to the point she'd confuse her dreams with reality and would sometimes pray her reality was a dream she'd wake up from. After four days of not hearing from Leni her family began to worry, specifically her mom. Leni and her mother would talk at minimum at least twice a week, the week was almost over and yet no call, and she was inactive on Instagram, this worried her siblings the most, as Leni was extremely active on Instagram, posting cute pictures of herself or others modeling her clothing on her stories. Worry soon turned to panic when she didn't answer anyone's call.
"I'm sorry you found out that way, I'm sorry you found out at all! Last thing I wanted to do was hurt you, but I did, and I'll never forgive myself for that. I don't deserve any closure or your understanding but I just need you to know I love you. Everything I did with Miss. 'Insert generic fashion designer name' was for the betterment of my future, OUR future. " There was a lot more to his text but Leni couldn't, there was a lot she wanted to say too him, she wanted to tell him off, bur she just didn't have the drive or will, she was numb to it all.
Leni's phone was blowing up constantly to the point where she turned it off. She felt bad ignoring her family and friends calls, God knows how worried they are, but she just didn't have the energy or strength to do it. 'I'm the worse' Leni muttered as tears began to fall down her face, even shocking her, but before she could really settle in her emotions she heard loud banging at her door.
"LENIIIII!" a female voice yelled her name. "Are you in there!? Open up!" The female demanded.
'Jenny?' Leni thought wiping her eyes mustered all the strength possible in order to get out of her bed and wobbled her way towards the door.
"Oh, thank God!" Jenny said as the door began to open but her relief soon turned back to worry when she saw the state of her friend.
"Jesus Christ Leni." Mandee, Leni's longtime friend who unbeknownst to Leni at the moment was currently facetiming with Rita Loud,
"Hello!? Is my baby okay!?" Mrs. Loud begged for a response but Mandee was in too much shock to even pay attention.
"Leni, you look horrible!" Jenny couldn't help but say. "Leni, what's wrong?" Jenny's voice softened, going from shock to concern.
"Yeah girl, you've never missed a class let alone two days worth of classes." Mandee pointed out.
Leni looked at her friends, she figured she'd want to talk about what happened and express her feelings to someone, but for once she didn't. Leni began to walk back into her apartment and motioned for her friends to come in. Mandee heard slight buzzing then remembered she was on the phone with Mrs. Loud.
"Mandee, are you there!?" Rita asked.
"Yes, sorry Mrs. Loud, we're at Leni's house and she's fine." Well not really but Mandee kept that to herself for now.
"OH THANK GOD!" Rita said releasing so much pent up stress. " Can you please give her the phone."
"Right." Mandee said, walking over to give Leni the phone. "Your mom wants to talk to you, Leni." She said handing Leni the phone.
"My mom?" Leni said with some emotions bubbling up.
"B T DUBS, you had us all super worried so she might be a little angry." Jenny said, almost pinching her fingers together to emphasize her point, making Leni slightly gulp as she put the phone to her ear.
"M-momma?" Leni answered the phone.
"AND WHYYYYYY HAVE YOU NOT BEEN ANSWERING MY CALLS YOUNG LADY!?" Rita wasted no time and started screaming at Leni. "THANK GOD I GOT A HOLD OF YOUR FRIENDS YOUR FATHER WAS THIS CLOSE TO CALLING FOR A WELLNESS CHECK AND FLYING DOWN THERE HIMSELF! LUNA AND HER BAND JUST GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP WRITE AND PRODUCE A SOUNDTRACK FOR A MOVIE BUT WAS PLANNING ON CANCELING ALL HER STUDIO SESSIONS ALL NEXT WEEK JUST TO CHECK ON YOU! THAT'S! HOW! WORRIED! WE'VE! BEEN!" Rita began huffing after letting all her emotions out.
At this point tears were freely running down her face. Leni knew it was mean to ignore her family, but did it anyway, but she didn't imagine she could possibly ruin her siblings' opportunities.
"I-i-i'm sorry, momma." Leni squeaked out through the tears.
Rita took a few breaths and calmed herself down feeling maybe she had gone a bit too hard on the blonde, clearly she was going through things, but dammit if she didn't scare the shit out of the entire family. While Leni clearly had the brain and work ethic of a businesswoman, she was still Leni at the end of the day and her being out there on her own worried her family, which is why they always made it a habit to check in with her. Regardless, her daughter was hurting and that needed to be the focus.
Leni went on to explain everything that happened 5 nights ago, and to say Mandee and Jenny were shocked was an understatement. They've heard plenty of gossip of men cheating on women, or women cheating on me, but it hits differently when it's your close friend. Rita on the other hand was livid, she had welcomed this young man into her home, trusted him with her daughters heart, treated him like family, and this is how he replays them? Betraying her daughter for what? Modeling opportunities? Leni would share all the details about their relationship, or at least the PG details, and it was clear to her Leni was in love. Just imagining the heartache her daughter must be going through broke Rita's heart.
"Sweetheart. I'm so sorry you had to go through this, unfortunately sometimes the people we give our love to aren't deserving of our love." Rita tried to find the right words but it was hard. "If you sit home mopping all day then he wins. You have such a bright future ahead of you, you have no idea how proud I am of everything you're doing, how proud we all are! Leni Loud you're whether you realize it or not you're the brightest young lady I know and I guarantee that little boy will regret fumbling you.".
Leni's cheeks couldn't help but redden at her mom's genuine praise. So many times had she been called stupid or teased by Lori, Luna, and Luan for being slow. All her life it felt like she'd been fighting just to hear those words.
"Here's what's going to happen, we really don;t want you alone right now so me and some of your sisters are going to fly out there in the next few days." Rita explained.
"NO!" Leni quickly yelled. "I don't want Luna or anyone to sacrifice any opportunities for me. I have Jenny and Mandee. I'll be fine." Leni told her mom, who chuckled,
"Sweetie relax, I won't ask Luna, it will just be me, Jr, Lily, & Lori. We just want to make sure you're fine, okay?" Rita asked.
"O-okay." Leni reluctantly agreed.
"I love you sweetheart." Rita told Leni.
"I love you too mom." Leni said back as she hung up.
The next few weeks were good and bad for Leni, after talking about her situation with a few of her modeling friends they revealed to her rumors of Jeremy hooking up with female models who had worked beside him. Leni wasn't sure of the validity of these rumors, but she didn't doubt them. She never for a day bought the "I only cheated for the betterment of our future." shtick, not that it even mattered. The only real positive was getting to see some of her family. Lori, Lynn, Lily, & her mother out of concern paid Leni a visit, which felt more like a "wellness check", regardless it was nice to have them around. Outside of Rita none of them had been to NYC so showing them around was fun, and a great way to get her mind off her Ex model boyfriend.
It'd be a nice ending to this story if Leni could say karma kicked in and Jeremy's modeling career didn't go the way he wanted after he and Leni split, but that would be a lie unfortunately. Jeremy continued to model many things and find success, and why wouldn't he? He was an extremely handsome young man with a unique look that made any product he wore look better, why would anything in his personal life change that? The sooner Leni came to terms with this, the easier it became for her to continue her studies and career, if he wasn't losing rest or opportunities, then why should she? The following years weren't always easy for Leni, there were days where sadness and loneliness crept in her heart but her family helped keep her on the right track, allowing her to graduate with her bachelor degree, but start her own business.
"Lincoln?" Lynn Sr. said to make sure his son was still on the phone.
"Yes dad, I'm here." Lincoln said,
"Did you hear what I said?" Lynn asked, Lincoln was so immersed with his thoughts he . In Lincoln's eye Jeremy was a scumbag who played with his sister's feelings and ultimately crushed her heart. Every now and again a girl would compliment Lincoln and call him "Cute", but he wasn't on Jeremy's level, Jeremy was a model who turned heads wherever he went and had a long list of women that would give themselves to him without question, but even if Lincoln had Jeremy's looks he still liked to think he wouldn't treat a girl he cared about the way Jeremy treated his sister, but in his family's mind, he did…
"No, I'm sorry dad, I was lost in thought.." Lincoln apologized,
"Son I was saying I believe you."
"Yeah I-" 'huh?' Lincoln thought. "You believe me?" Lincoln was in disbelief.
"Yes son, you may lie here and there, but I've never known you to be a bold faced liar." Lynn explained,
"So, you really believe me?" a tinge of hope sprang in Lincoln's heart. "Even with the photo?" Lincoln questioned.
"Well, I don't know much about photoshop or these new AI programs, but if you're telling me it's fake, then yes son, I believe." Lynn told his son.
"Thank you, dad." Lincoln tried his best to keep the tears in his eyes, after Lincoln couldn't even convince Lily of his innocence he had lost all faith that someone in his family would ever believe his side of the story.
"Look sport, I'll talk to your mom and Lori when they've calmed down and their emotions aren't as strong." Lynn Sr. explained. Lincoln had little hope this could lead to anything, but at least it was something.
"Thanks, dad.." Lincoln said still did not want to cry in front of his dad.
"Hang in there son… I love you." The Loud father told his son.
"Love you too dad." Lincoln said back, ending the call before the dam of tears broke.
"You okay man?" Rusty asked his friend who seemed to not be able to control his tears.
"Yeah." Lincoln said, wiping his tears with a slight smile finally presenting itself on Lincoln's face, a sense of hope in his heart. Lincoln couldn't fault his sisters TOO much after remembering how horrible the aftermath of Leni and Jeremy was, yet and still he couldn't help but he couldn't help but be pissed at them after remembering those events. They've known him for all his life, know his character, and yet they still choose to believe he'd cause the same pain that was caused on Leni, onto another woman? The thought sickened him, why couldn't they just take his word and help him figure this out? At least his dad saw better in him. "Okay guys, this is what we're going to do!"
Apologies I meant for this Leni stuff to only take maybe half a chapter but it never works that way, I wanted to describe a Loud sister getting cheated on in the first chapter but I didn't think it was interesting enough for a first chapter,
