Chapter Thirteen

Half an hour later…

After several minutes of interrogation with the agents, with Kim's help, the team finally got the man to talk, saying that they were hoping to get some unpaid debts squared over with Kim's parents but things had quickly escalated and now they were in too deep to just leave the situation.

Kim was really determined to get everyone out alive and make sure that people behind this paid for their crimes.

Them and, if necessary, her parents may have to be arrested in the process.

That is something that she has known was bound to happen eventually.

"Let's go."

Few minutes later…

Warehouse…

Don was finally able to slightly loosen his rope but only just barely and he started to look for anything sharp as he grew more concerned about Ellen, as she had been really quiet for a while.

"Are you alright, Ellen?" Don asked, though he knew that given their situation, none of them were in any way okay.

"No, we brought ourselves into this situation and we dragged you along with us." Ellen said sadly before starting to cry

Don didn't even know what to say to that, as none of this was okay and he still felt uncertain what these two are up to, but he knew that they wouldn't be able to do all of this, at least as far as he can tell.

"Mark? What about you?" Don asked the older man, who hadn't said anything for a while either.

"What she said." Mark said after hesitating for a few long moments and Don knew there was more going on than what he even knew.

Before he could say or do anything, he heard some shouting from outside, making him wonder what was going on.

'Hopefully that's a good sign' He thought to himself, smiling as he heard familiar voices from the outside.
