Chapter 69 The Return

It's been a month since the battle with Galatea after discovering why she was doing what she did under the belief her life was on the line if she didn't obey.

Thankfully Sean was able to prove her life wasn't on the line and before the buidling blew they all escaped.

Unfortunately most of her memories were erased on the place and people who used her.

The only thing she did remember was the fact is she worked for Cadmus.

So now everyone was searching for this group to find out what their grudge was about and against.

Right now though.

Charolette smiled as she held her youngest Great Grandson who giggled at her.

"Hmm. Why did you name him Marcus by the way? I can understand Junior, Jack and Mathayus cause the names mean something. But why Marcus?" Charolette asked Sunny who smiled.

"I think he's gonna be like his father and be a fighter and Marcus Kruger sounds like a fighter to me." Sunny said.

"Oh." Charolette said.

"Besides it just fits him." Sunny said taking him back as he yawned.

"Ooh." Mowgli said holding her stomach. "Well, this little girl is a fighter too. Then again so was I when Sean and I first met almost six years ago." Mowgli said.

"You never did mention how you two met in the first place." Regina said with Paula in her arms as she cooed.

"Well." Mowgli said.

Flashback six years ago.

Sean was out in the Jungle of India since Insurgents were said to be in this area.

"Of all the places in the world I had to go to it had to be here." Sean said before he swore he heard painful groaning.

Heading to the sound he was shocked to see a girl tightly coiled by a snake as she struggled to breathe as it was about to eat her.

Only for Sean's knife to fly at it piercing the head as it hissed in pain before dying as it let her go.

Coughing the girl looked up at him in awe having never seen another human before.

"You ok?" Sean asked but she just tilted her head in confusion making him look at her seeing she was completely naked making him hold out a hand before a blanket appeared and wrapped it over her making her look at him as he picked her up.

"Come on. Lets get out of here." Sean said carrying her away not seeing the small smile on her face as she laid her head on his chest.

End Flashback.

"Awww. That is so romantic." Kazehana said gushing.

"Yeah. And now I got this little one on the way." Mowgli said holding her large stomach. She was 2 months pregnant but the pill sped things up so she was near the end of it.

Later

"We regret to say there has been no sightings of Grendel in any part of the galaxy. However we did receive some rather...Disturbing information." The Leader of the Guardians said on a screen Lantern was making.

"What kind of information?" Sean asked.

"Last week apparently the manhunters were spotted raiding supply factories across the galaxy. High demand parts. It's obvious that Grendel needs them for something."

Thats when an Alert came in.

"What is it?" Lantern asked as an image of something approaching Oa appeared.

"Theres an unidentified object approaching Oa at a rather astonishing speed." The Leader said.

"We're on it." Hal Jordan said as he and his fellow Green Lanterns flew above the planet to stop whatever it was before they created a shield to stop it.

"Nothing is gonna get past this baby." Kyle Rayner said before the object went through them like it was nothing.

"Activate planet defenses. Magnify image." The Leader said having the sceen zoom in on the object.

However shockingly it turned out to be AMAZO.

"AMAZO?" Lane said surprised before he went right through the planet and it vanished.

"That didn't just happen. Tell me that didn't just happen?" Lantern asked.

"Oh it definitely did. He's even more powerful than last time." Reznov said.

"We got a bigger problem." Saya said showing the chart of the galaxy and AMAZO's heading. "AMAZO is heading right for us." Saya said.

"Just like Grendel said he would." Superman said.

Soon enough a large number of heroes were gathered that were not on missions right now.

"We'll set up three layers of defense. One on the ground, One in the air and one in space." Eiling said.

"Thats where I'm going. I want to hammer that thing before it gets anywhere near here." Lantern said.

"What about Sean? Shouldn't he be leading the charge?" Wonder Woman asked.

"He's on a Maxima's home world dealing with some insurgents who supported that jackass who tried to take over." Sage said.

"Fucking figures." Deadshot said.

"Move out." Lane said getting those like Orion, Doctor Light and a few others to head into space. In the Air would be Super Girl, Fire, Red Tornado, Rocket Red and Powergirl On the ground would be Wonder Woman, Killer Frost, Deadshot, Ice and Deathstroke.

Superman was about to go in space when he stopped.

"What is it?" Saya asked.

"Sean told him to look to the stars see what life has to offer. Why is he coming back now?" Superman asked.

"I have a pretty good idea." Saya said crossing her arms.

Meanwhile

At Luthor's home he was being interviewed by Saroya.

"Your new book, "Into the Light" certainly projects the image of a man who's reformed. But many people are skeptical, Mr. Luthor, For good reason." Saroya said.

"I understand their skepticism, Saroya but the fact is I'm not the man I was before. Since my company was taken away I realize I need to make something of my life that holds meaning." Luthor said.

"So you're a new man. No grudges, no vendettas, even against the Justice League or more specifically Kruger?" Soroya asked making him chuckle.

"Some but I wouldn't consider them hostile other than our struggle to win this election." Luthor said as Super Girl and Steel snatched him up.

"What are you doing!" Luthor yelled.

"Oh shut up. We're saving your life from an old friend of your's." Super Girl said.

"AMAZO." Steel said making him widen his eyes.

"Wherever your taking me won't be enough. I have another location." Luthor said.

Soon they arrived at a barber shop.

"Why would you need to come here?" Super Girl said before before they went inside.

"So after you get your nose hairs trimmed then what?" Steel asked.

"Watch." Lex said as the shop owner pressed a button and a pod encased Luthor and went under.

"HEY!" Super girl yelled as they went after him.

Luthor arrived at his destination before running into a room before five doors closed behind him. In the room was a large cannon before he got on.

"You seem afraid Lex."

"Huh?" Lex said looking around before it hit him. "The Atom." Lex said before Ray Palmer in his atom suit grew to human size. "You came with them no doubt." Lex said.

"You sound disappointed." Ray said.

"One of the most powerful beings in this universe is after me and Kruger isn't even here. It's obvious or he would come to tell me himself." Luthor said.

"Come on, Lex. Power isn't everything. Besides I'm one of the top experts in nano technology." Ray said.

"Yes, yes. I am well aware of who's on top of certain fields in the League." Lex said.

"The very same technology Ivo used to create the Android." Ray said making him face him. "Which means I'm just the man for the job." Ray said grinning.

"And just how are you gonna find a chink in the Android's armor? The League confiscated the blue prints 2 years ago." Lex said before they appeared in Ray's hand.

"Not anymore." Ray said handing them to him making him grin.

Meanwhile

Above the planet some of the strongest heroes waited for AMAZO to arrive.

"You cannot keep me from my goal." AMAZO said through telepathy.

"Why have you come back?" Superman asked.

"Why ask questions when you already know the answer." AMAZO said.

"Luthor." Superman said.

"Of course." AMAZO said as he appeared heading for the planet.

"We're not gonna hand him over. ." Superman said.

"He is your enemy. You owe him nothing." AMAZO said still heading for them.

"Turn back now." Superman said.

"I have evolved far beyond what I was when we last met. Only one could stop me now. And he's not here from what I sense." AMAZO said heading right at them.

Meanwhile

Lex and Ray continued to work on the cannon to stop AMAZO.

"The android, Why does he hate you so much?" Ray asked.

"Before I was given my pardon I took advantage of his naivety. He's not naive anymore. And I've long since stopped taking advantage of people" Lex said.

"Lets hope you'll be more convincing if you have to tell him that." Ray said before the screen lit up showing Lane.

"Bad news?" Lex asked fearing the worst.

Above the planet the heroes who were in space floated after battling the Android who still went to Earth to find Luthor.

"Where are you?" AMAZO asked sensing for Luthor before he found him and headed right for him.

"He's on his way towards you." Lane said.

"Not for long." Super Girl said charging right at him.

The others watched from a distance before a loud boom was heard.

Then they saw Super Girl falling right into the ocean out cold.

"Ok that didn't work." Powergirl said dashing at him.

"Did you not learn from our last encounter. Your actions have no effect on me." AMAZO said before blasting her down.

Fire engulfed him in green flames but had no effect on him before he grabbed her by the neck.

"Your actions are admirable but annoying." AMAZO said throwing her away before Red Tornado got her just as Iron man came in and grabbed her before AMAZO fired lasers from his eyes slicing Red Tornado in half before he blew up. (How did he come back from that?)

Arriving on the ground he was confronted by the rest of the heroes.

"When will you learn?" AMAZO asked before blasting them all and down for the count before he went to confront Luthor.

"Ugh. I forget how much of a powerhouse this guy was." Sage said shaking her head.

Luthor and Ray quickly worked faster to get the cannon ready but suddenly it just vanished.

"NO!" Lex yelled before AMAZO melted the doors before walking into the room.

Above the planet

The heroes who fought AMAZO in space continued to float till suddenly a bright green light was seen. Superman looked seeing the Other Green Lanterns.

"Your alive." Stewart said.

"Which is more than we can say for Oa." Kyle said.

"Whats the plan?" Stewart asked.

"We're gonna use what power is left in our rings on the Android." Kyle said.

"A blast like that could destroy half a planet." Stewart said.

"Half a planet is better than none." Kyle said.

"Don't even fucking think about it." Beowulf said shocking them as he appeared not looking amused by Kyle's suggestion. "You would sacrifice your own home world to stop one being? I don't fucking think so." Beowulf said.

"But..." Kyle tried to say.

"I will deal with you...When this is over." Beowulf said with his visor glowing before dashing off.

"This is why he's in charge of the League." Superman said knowing he would never resort to such an idea unless there was no choice for the greater good.

Meanwhile

"You lied to me Lex. Used me. Manipulated me. To serve your own despicable ends." AMAZO said.

"Enough." Beowulf said appearing behind him. "Whats this really about?" Beowulf asked getting in front of him.

"People like you and him have everything people desire...And yet you go for more. Why? What is your purpose?" AMAZO asked.

"Ooooh. This isn't about him or me. What you wanna know is what your purpose is." Sean said as the Lanterns showed up.

"What is he doing?" Kyle asked as he was about to attack when Katma stopped him.

"Do you want to make his judgment on you even worse?" Katma asked making him gulp standing down.

"My purpose...I just do what I do because it's the right thing to do. Nothing more or less." Sean said.

"Just like that?" AMAZO asked.

"Everyone decides their own path to take. My father decided to serve the needs of others and to learn the cultures of everyone. Hence why he was with the hunters for many years. Even earned this mark." Sean said showing the blooded mark from his time on the trial on his neck. "We all have a choice to make. Live your life the best of your ability be it for good or evil. The choice is always ours." Sean said.

"I see." AMAZO said before his eyes glowed.

"What did you do?" John asked.

"Moved Oa back to where it was. I just moved it to another universe. Now it's back." AMAZO said making them smile.

Thats when Fate had arrived.

"I can help you on your journey. That is my purpose." Fate said

"Very well." AMAZO said as they vanished.

"How you became so good with words I'll never know. But it's one of the many things I respect about you." Luthor said making him scoff in amusement.

"Sure." Sean said as he grabbed Kyle making him yell in pain. "And I will deal with you." Sean said dragging him away.

"Aren't you gonna stop him?" John asked Katma since the two were a thing.

"Mmm. I think I'll let it slide this once." Katma said amused as Kyle started yelling in pain.

Meanwhile

Fate and AMAZO arrived in his home when his wife approached him.

"You seam surprised." Inza said.

"I'll never understand how Kruger uses his words alone so effectively." Fate said.

"Thats easy."

They turned seeing Shayera without her helmet.

Also in her arms with a one month old baby girl who had her hair but had Sean's eyes.

"He's just that good." Shayera said as she held her daughter who cooed making her smile softly kissing her forehead.

Later

Mowgli screamed as she was in the process of giving birth.

"Ok here we go." Ann said.

"GRRR! I am never doing this again!" Mowgli screamed as Sean held her hand.

"You say that now." Sean said making her glare menacingly.

"AHHHHH!" Mowgli screamed as she heard soft crying making her sigh.

"There we go." Ann said taking the baby to clean it up.

"Ugh...You better hope it's a girl." Mowgli said making him smile.

"Why trying to even up the genders of the kids?" Sean asked making her glare.

Thats when she saw Ann come back with a pink bundle making her smile softly as she held her daughter.

She had brown skin like her mother and her hair before she slowly opened her eyes showing her father's forest green eyes.

"Oooh. She's beautiful." Mowgli said making her giggle as Mowgli kissed her.

"So what are you gonna name her?" Sean asked.

"Oh thats easy. Anya Kruger." Mowgli said making Anya giggle as her mother kissed her making Sean smile.

Authors Note: I was gonna do a lemon but I'm gonna skip it for next chapter. Now I know I'm skipping some episodes but the first half of first season were kinda boring It's the second half that got more exciting. Next Chapter Ultimatum. Oh and one little thing I just saw the new Godzilla X Kong trailer. I get the feeling this movie is gonna be even more epic than the last one. I just hope we see Godzilla's second greatest foe.
