Chapter 2: First Contact

Entering a new world is always interesting. Not just for you, but for the people you meet.

Do you plan to change things for the better, or for the worst?

Today… was a very strange day.

Well… more frightening than strange, if anything.

A boy walked through the city heading back home as the sun set, lost in thought. He wore a black middle school outfit and a yellow backpack over his shoulders, and possessed green hair and eyes. Traces of a weird substance seemed to be all over his body, but he hardly seemed to care.

He stared up at the sky, thinking, I really want to apologize to All Might… but he was swarmed by interviewers after what happened…

Let's take a few steps backward.

This boy, named Izuku Midoriya, was involved in an incident regarding a villain that almost killed him twice, and both times he was rescued by his idol. The world's Symbol of Peace and Justice, All Might. The first time, the villain had tried to take over Midoriya's body, and All Might had arrived just in time to save him. After waking up from unconsciousness, Izuku had asked him a question.

The world was filled with many people who had special powers, which were called "Quirks." Some of them used that power to become a Hero, which had become more or less a job, while also retaining that same aesthetic of saving people and defeating villains who would do the world harm. However, there were the few that did not have powers, and they were dubbed "Quirkless,"

Izuku happened to be one of them.

So he asked All Might a question he had always wanted to ask him ever since he learned of it from the age of 5. Could he still become a great hero even without a Quirk?

The answer he got… wasn't what he expected.

Not only did he discover that his idol was actually suffering from an injury that limited the power he could use to save people, but the response to his question was world shattering.

"You should keep your dreams realistic."

And that, right there, should've been the end of Izuku's. It may very well have been, had it not been for the villain All Might saved him from, this time possessing the body of another boy whom Izuku called friend. Seeing no other options, and with the Heroes doing nothing to save him, Izuku had raced into the scene without much thought in an attempt to rescue his friend. And before he could be severely injured, All Might had appeared yet again, saving him and his friend with a mighty strike to the villain, subduing him for good.

And now, after getting a scolding from the local heroes, he was on his way home, slightly covered in sludge.

I didn't want to interrupt him though… he thought, looking down, I can always try and send a message through his website when I get home…

"DEKU!"

A familiar voice made him turn around and see who it was that was addressing him. Sure enough, there was his… childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, racing towards him.

"Kacchan?" he asked with surprise as the similarly clothed student panted, before looking up with a glare, before his eyes went down and he brought his fists slightly upwards.

"Listen. I would never ask for a weakling like you to help me. Don't you think you can look down on me! Got that?!" He looked up with venom in his eyes towards Izuku, "I was fine by myself! You're just a Quirkless failure who won't even cut it as a rent-a-cop! You didn't help me at all! Don't forget it!"

With that, he turned around and stormed away, "I owe you nothing, dammit!"

Izuku just stared at him as he watched him go. Though Katsuki had been more of a bully than a friend, he could remember happier times in their childhood. But when he got his Quirk - Explosion, he changed rather drastically.

Still… this interaction was quite strange.

Kacchan's right though. He thought to himself, It's not like I actually did anything to help today. But… at least I tried. Izuku turned around and walked on, Guess I should get back to giving up on my dreams…

(Play: MHA OST - I've Come!)

"I AM HERE!"

The second voice out of nowhere suddenly appeared in the form of a muscular man with a white shirt and blonde hair, which was lifted into two tufts above his head.

"A-All Might?!" Izuku stepped back in surprise, "W-When did you get here? H-How'd you get past all those reporters?"

The Symbol of Peace laughed boisterously, before posing multiple times, "I stand for justice! Not soundbytes! Because I, I am All Mi-!"

(Silence)

And ultimately deflating back into his weakened state with a loud cough. Where there was once a strong, bulky Hero, now had a shorter, skinnier man in his place. After Midoriya calmed down from freaking out, the now skinny All Might addressed him. "Young man. I came here to thank you. And also to discuss your question from earlier."

Izuku stared at him.

"If you hadn't told me about your life… if you hadn't run into that fight… I would've been a worthless bystander watching from the crowd." the Symbol replied, "So thanks."

"O-Oh! No! It was my fault he was there to begin with!" Izuku replied, "I got in the way of your work… wasted your energy… not to mention your time."

"I'm not done." All Might replied, "You told me you didn't have a power. So when I saw this timid, Quirkless boy try to save a life… It inspired me to act, too."

(Play: MHA OST - Symbol of Peace)

A small gasp came out from Midoriya, as he looked back up to his idol.

"There are stories about every hero. How they became great. Most of them had one thing in common." All Might began, staring at him, "Their bodies moved, before they had a chance to think… almost on their own… and today, that's what happened to you."

Was this… going where he thought he was going? Izuku started to sniffle, thinking back to a time where his dream was very close to being burnt to the ground. He looked down, trying and failing to not cry.

No way, no way, no way…

"Young man…" All Might said, "You too can become a Hero."

The dam broke.

Alright, let's roll things back a bit.

I am Toshinori Yagi, better known in my world as the Symbol of Peace and Justice... All Might!

Though I have been this world's defender for most of my life, I have only gotten as far as I have thanks to the power lent by my late master, Nana Shimura. As the eighth wielder of the Quirk One for All, and as this world's Symbol of Peace and Justice, I have made it my sworn duty to protect and help those who are in need. No matter what happens, I must stand strong for the sake of the people around me, and always with a smile, to let them know to not lose hope.

Why? Because I am here!

However, there will come a time where I have to pass on the torch. I cannot be this world's Symbol forever, and I am in great need of a successor.

And I have found one in this boy. This frail boy, who was once Quirkless as I was, has the heart of a true Hero, and he showed it to me that moment his body moved on his own to rescue his friend against that villain.

Mark my words, I will entrust him with my secret, and show him that even if he doesn't have a power... that he too can be a Hero.

Just... right after he stops crying, that is… he stared at Izuku as he bawled his heart out. Whatever happened to him in the past, it must not have been great to have in the back of anyone's mind. Why else would he be crying like this?

But he knew what lay behind that sobbing boy.

"I deem you worthy of my power." he told him, "My Quirk is yours to inherit."

The boy stared up at him, his eyes still glazed with tears, but his face…

Oh gosh, that face was priceless!

"Uh… wait." Izuku stammered, "What do you mean 'inherit'?"

All Might couldn't help it. He burst out in laughter. "You should see your face right now! Don't worry, kiddo. I won't force this on you."

He took a few steps forwards, before raising a finger to the sky. "Listen well, young man…" He then pointed to Izuku.

"Do you wanna accept my awesome power or not?!"

"W-wait, what do you mean by accepting your power-"

Before Izuku could finish responding to his beloved idol, a flash of brilliant light appeared and blinded both of them. When the light subsided, the two looked upward to the source of the light.

"Is that... a crack in the sky?" Izuku asked the Number One Hero as he walked next to him, having noticed the strange sight. Sure enough, the crack began to burst open, and they couldn't even see what was on the other side, though it was obvious that this was some sort of portal. Was it someone else's Quirk?

"You're right… but what is it there for? Hang on…" The man raised a hand over his eyes and squinted, "There's something coming out… I can't tell what it is from here and-" All Might paused suddenly, looking up with a gasp.

"A-All Might?" Midoriya asked him before looking to where he was staring out. Sure enough, his mouth was agape as well. Something had come out of it, encased in a white substance. And it was falling!

Wait... wasn't it getting closer?

"GET DOWN!" All Might screamed to his young companion as the two quickly leapt out of the way before whatever came out of the rift crashed right into them.

They bounced off the ground, before ricocheting off nearby walls and trees like a pinball before colliding with the pavement hard, skidding across the ground, all the while All Might and Midoriya flinched at this sight.

"Wha... what was that?!" Izuku said with shock in his tone. The two turned around to where they saw the portal, but it had vanished, like it was never even there…

(Silence)

Both looked at each other repeatedly, blinking in succession as they couldn't believe what just happened. Something had fallen out of a mysterious vortex that appeared out of nowhere, and whatever it was, it wasn't getting back up. So many questions rang through their minds.

Who summoned that portal?

Why did someone come flying right out of it?

How did this happen in the first place?

Did this person have answers?

"Careful. We don't know what or who this might be…" All Might motioned to Izuku to follow his lead. They approached the figure, who had made a mess of the pavement with his own body colliding into it.

(Play: KH X Back Cover OST - Passing the Power)

Upon close inspection, it was a young boy, hands and legs twitching as they heard him groan. From where they were at, he was likely around Izuku's age. He was wearing strange garbs of red, gray, and black, with traces of yellow on the shoes and sleeves. But what made him stand out was his brown spiky hair.

However, there wasn't much time to go into description, because it was clear he had landed on the pavement hard. He likely broke every bone in his body from that fall if he didn't have a Quirk. And that was the best case scenario.

"Holy crap…" All Might ran over and kneeled down next to the kid, checking for a pulse. He gasped, "What the hell?!"

"W-What is it?"

"He's still alive…!"

"No way… After a fall like that?!"

"Dammit… no time to lose," All Might replied, "We need to get him to a hospital, and fast. Help me out with him."

"O-Oh. Got it!"

Together, the two of them grabbed the boy's arms, with Izuku having a harder time to lift, before they placed the boy on All Might's back and slowly walked out of the mess.

Geez… hope Cementoss is nearby. We wouldn't want there to be a news report regarding mysterious pavement damage, All Might thought to himself, Though I have to wonder… who is this kid?

He turned back to Midoriya, who asked, "Um… about the whole inheriting thing?"

"Later, young man. Right now, let us focus on saving this young fellow first. We will talk once we are sure he recovers."

It took them almost half an hour, but they eventually found the closest hospital to bring the mysterious stranger to, and said stranger was then taken from their hands as All Might dialed a number on his phone. Izuku, meanwhile, was sitting next to him waiting for any news on the stranger's status.

"Hey… we've got a special situation here." All Might said to the phone, "Let's just say… he fell out of the sky and we don't know where he comes from."

A few moments of silence. "I'm serious. I'm not even sure how he got there either. Please, don't panic. I'll see what I can get from him, and I'll let you know later what I've come up with."

"Thanks, old friend."

After a few seconds, he hung up and looked to the door, where a nurse came over to them.

"How's the kid?" he asked her. She shook her head in disbelief.

"You said he fell from a great height, but… aside from several muscle tears and a few bruises and cuts on his body, he's completely fine." she replied, "Though it's clear that the patient is exhausted. He's still out cold."

"Er… c-can we see him?" Izuku asked.

"Certainly. Follow me."

The nurse led them to the elevator, and after a short ride, they arrived on the seventh floor and walked past a few rooms. Eventually, they made it to the room.

"He's in there." she told them, and the two thanked her before walking inside.

(Silence)

Once in the room, All Might examined the stranger, who wasn't covered in a blanket. Upon closer inspection, he noted that the boy's skin, mainly his fingers, looked rougher, as well as his arms. And god, his arms. He could just see an ugly-shaped scar on the boy's left arm, which seemed to be due to a jagged blade, and his right arm seemed to have a faded, but still visible burn mark on it, seemingly from a hot rod.

Thankfully, the boy's face seemed to be less damaged. It was youthful despite his body scars, and it was rather peaceful, a direct contrast to how harsh his landing was here from… wherever he came from. If anything, it looked like the guy was taking a nap underneath a tree.

Regardless, it was clear that this boy did not have an easy life.

But his clothing, however ragged and roughed out, was strange. Sure, its very appearance was different and perhaps the strangest casual attire to wear, but… there was this feeling about it that it was more than just ordinary wear. Was this a special Hero Costume nobody knew about?

No… it couldn't be. No costume he knew of could even give off any feeling from it. Even Catherine's outfit didn't have any feeling, and her Quirk was pretty powerful in itself. Hell, his creations couldn't do something like this. The feeling the clothes gave off wasn't uncomfortable in comparison or had that intense aura of danger, but it felt out of place all the same.

Like it… wasn't from this world.

But that was impossible. Wasn't it?

"Well, young man?" he looked to Izuku, "What do you think of our friend here?"

Said person nearly jumped in surprise before he looked to All Might, "O-Oh! I-I was just thinking about the f-fabric of his outfit. I-I don't know how to explain it, b-but…"

"You believe it's not a natural outfit?"

"No… What's the deal with it?"

"I'm not sure myself. I know that no other Hero costume has given off this strange feeling." All Might agreed, looking to the sleeping boy "And our friend?"

"U-Uh… to be honest, he's no older than I am right now… maybe a year older but I'm not sure since he could have a Quirk that slows down aging. But if that's the case, how was he able to survive a fall like that? He'd had to have multiple Quirks, then, but that'd be impossible because no one in history could have so many Quirks at one time because that would kill them. Not to mention a combination of age and skin enhancement Quirks shouldn't be possible either, but then again Kacchan's Explosion Quirk is a combination of his mom and dad's, so it might make sense. Wait, no it doesn't-"

All Might watched as the boy continued to mutter without end, engrossed in the thoughts only his mind could see and hear. He tapped the boy's shoulder, but it did nothing.

"Uh… young man? KID?" he called out, snapping his fingers, and when it didn't work, he clapped his hands, which made the boy yelp, "Stop nerding out! We're not gonna figure it out this way!"

"A-ah! Sorry, All Might."

"Hey, not so loud!"

"Gah!" Midoriya whispered, now seemingly remembering about his secret, "Sorry,"

"It's fine. Ugh. It's a relief we don't have other people out there." The skinny hero looked back to the door, before looking back to the sleeping boy, "But back to the matter at hand… you get the feeling our friend here has more to him than what meets the eye, am I wrong, young man?"

"Y-Yeah… but say that he's probably someone from outer space…" Midoriya said, "How does it explain why the hospital was able to treat him as easily as the next person?"

"That is a good question. I'm…" he paused, "I'm not entirely sure myself. It doesn't help that his outfit is throwing me off."

The two remained silent, before Izuku asked, "So… is he from another planet?"

"Let's not ask him that. We could be completely wrong."

"...Wrong about what?"

(Play: KH BBS OST - Eternal Moments)

The two jumped at the sleepy voice, only to realize that the boy in front of them had woken up, though it was clear he was still exhausted. He yawned, stretching his arms before wincing in pain.

"Y-You're awake…" Izuku stammered.

"Yep." said the boy without missing a beat, "Um… where am I?"

To think that he'd get up without bothering to ask who we are…

The two stared at one another, before All Might spoke up, "You're in a hospital, young man. You fell from… a pretty high altitude."

"Alti-what now?"

"You fell from the sky, is what I'm trying to say,"

"Fell?"

All Might noticed the boy look down in shock at that. Then, to his surprise, the shock turned to concern, and perhaps the slightest hint of fear.

"...Did you find me and bring me here?"

"We did. Your landing was… less than gentle." The Pro and Izuku winced as they recalled how the boy crashed, "What is your name?"

"My name?" the boy asked, before answering, "I'm Sora. How about you two?"

He said it so casually. All Might thought to himself, before looking again at the boy. With his eyes open, All Might saw that his blue eyes were hungry with curiosity, underneath the nervousness, that is.

"Toshinori Yagi," he said to the boy.

"I-Izuku Midoriya…" his young friend added.

"Toshinori Yagi and Izuku Midoriya… that's two more mouthfuls to add to the list." Sora replied with a small smile.

"Huh?"

He chuckled, "Never mind. I was thinking of a friend of mine."

The two looked to one another, before Izuku turned and asked, "U-Uh… about your fall… how did that happen?"

Sora raised a brow, "What do you mean?"

All Might only watched as his to-be successor muttered to himself, and he tapped the boy's shoulder to snap him out of it. It took several taps, actually. The poor kid had to be startled by another hand clap, and he scrambled to regain his bearings afterwards.

"U-Uh… how did you end up coming out of that portal? And what caused it?" Midoriya clarified, "D-Did you… see who did it?"

The boy called Sora put a hand to his chin, brow furrowed. All Might noted that his body was tensed up ever so slightly. For a brief second, he thought he looked lost for words. But if it was there, it was immediately snuffed out.

"I dunno." Sora said, "I just remember fighting someone and almost losing. Nothing about a portal, though."

The two glanced at one another. So this boy was in combat with someone?

"Do you remember their name, young man?"

"Yozora. Does it ring a bell?"

Night Sky… That was a new one. In all of his life, the Symbol of Peace had never heard of a Hero, Villain, or Vigilante called Yozora before. All Might shook his head.

"Why were you two fighting?" All Might questioned, "What Quirk were they using?"

"What's a quirk?"

Izuku's jaw nearly dropped to the floor. He didn't know what a Quirk was? But that was common knowledge! How could he not know?!

All Might however, remained silent at this. The way he asked made it sound like a genuine question. He really didn't know.

Which means that he either lost his memories, or was from somewhere not known on the map and isolated from the rest of the world, and the latter was highly unlikely if the mention of a friend meant anything. Sora raised a brow in surprise, displaying confusion for a few seconds before the other brow suddenly rose to meet its twin. He then started to look nervous. Based on his delayed reaction to his own question, he seemed to have slipped up. He wanted to ask about why he didn't know, but that would be the wrong way to approach it.

"Never mind." he said, "Do you remember why the two of you were fighting?"

The boy seemed to relax slightly as All Might made the choice.

"Beats me. Said he wanted to save me, but ended up almost trying to kill me instead." Sora shook his head and muttered under his breath. Meanwhile, poor Izuku looked horrified and disbelieving by the way Sora had said it without any hint of fear, and even more so that he sounded frustrated by why this Yozora character tried to kill him.

However, for All Might, it was a huge clue. It indicated that this was not the first time he had been in a near death experience. There was definitely more than what the boy was letting on. He could be a child soldier from a secret organization they didn't know about and was feigning ignorance. Yakuza, maybe?

No… the yakuza were as good as gone, thanks to the ascendance of Heroes.

It also couldn't be his work, because he knew that man was dead by his hand. Plus, he didn't know if Sora himself possessed a Quirk, or… superpower. If this Yozora person had one, then it might be the case.

Gosh, that term was rare to use now that Quirks were around.

Strangely, the possibility that Sora was a human from a different world was starting to become more and more likely.

"'I see… I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think this Yozora will be after you again?"

"No… I don't think so." Sora answered, "Thanks for bringing me here, by the way."

"It's the least we can do." All Might said.

(Silence)

"Er, uh- Sora?" Izuku piped up, still stumbling on his words.

"Yeah?"

"Y-You said you didn't know what a Quirk was," the boy stammered, "How can that be? Quirks are common knowledge."

"Er-"

There it was again. That pause. All Might knew that Sora was either trying to recall why, or didn't know at all. There was a good chance it was the latter.

But… there was only one way to find out. His curiosity was getting the better of him, much to his dismay. But it was better to address it now.

From what he could gather, Sora was… a warrior. One who had endured many battles and gained many scars from it. Either a vigilante or a villain he wasn't sure, but his words regarding Yozora meant that there was someone after the boy, but for what reason he did not know. Sora didn't know what a Quirk was, or was confused by the terminology, meaning he was definitely a foreigner, but not a common one, as knowledge of Quirks was commonplace.

Was he really an alien?

Either way, a loose end like Sora could either be a great friend, or a dangerous foe, depending on what happened next. He did not wish to antagonize the boy, and hopefully it wouldn't come to that. But he had to know, to ease his own worries.

He opened his mouth and said this:

"You're not from this world, are you?"

(Play: MHA OST - Mystery)

When the question was out in the open, Sora's brain completely stopped, as his eyes widened. How did he-?

"First off… your clothes… don't get me wrong, young man, but… they're not normal." Yagi replied, "There's something about them that feels… wrong. Even for a costume, it feels out of place. No other piece of clothing, whether from a costume or not, can give off something like that. That vortex we saw you come out of… it also wasn't natural either. I don't even know any Quirks that have that nature, let alone the ability to create a crack in the sky.

"Then when you asked me what a Quirk was, it was so genuine that it must have been your first time hearing that phrase, which is impossible since knowledge of Quirks is known all around the world." Toshinori continued, "And… I don't think there's ever been a Quirk with the power to travel through time, so you would either have to be from an isolated area, or you've lost your memories. But I doubt that it's either of the two. You did just mention that bout with this Yozora fellow, that you knew of people to call friends, and of course, you remember your own name."

The boy was stunned. He deciphered that just from the portal and his outfit? Couldn't those two guys from before think of a more private place?!

Then again, they did say they had no clue where he would end up, and that included where he would land in whatever world he was going to be in. He was lucky enough to be in a place resembling San Fransokyo, and with people who weren't trying to kill him.

At least he wasn't crash-landing into the ocean…

Wait, wait… this person was just asking if he wasn't from this world. Does that mean…?

"I'm sorry, kid, but… who are you, really?" Toshinori asked him.

Sora opened his mouth, then closed it again, before sighing. How was he supposed to say this? The fact that this guy figured it out through the portal and his clothes? Didn't the Good Fairies make it so that it didn't give off that feeling?

Unless… This place didn't have anything related to magic. At all. In each world he had ever been to, Sora had always seen some sort of special thing that made it unique, whether it be fire-breathing, if small, dragons, flying elephants, and all-powerful genies. All of which were related to something magical.

But this world… Was there a chance that this… didn't have its own magic? Those glowing figures did state that light and darkness couldn't reach a realm like this one. Did that also include magic as well? Or was "magic" something that took a completely different shape? One that defied what was known to Sora?

If so, then to them, Sora, or rather his clothing for now, was a new and unexpected addition to this world that they knew. A piece of the puzzle that did not fit in at all. Then again, he could say that for all the worlds he has been to. He just wasn't used to their inhabitants being this perceptive. The only other person who knew of his otherworldly status back in his realm that wasn't a world traveler was the king of Atlantica.

Now I'm starting to see why Donald was so strict about the world order. In case we run into people like him. He thought, But this person's already thrown the first stone… What should I say?

I can't exactly lie… ugh… at least he isn't here to chew me out for this…

(Silence)

"...Uh… is there anybody outside the door?" Sora asked.

"Not that I know of. Why?" The boy his age… Izuku… asked.

"What I'm going to say next is practically taboo."

"Oh."

Sora took the time to collect his thoughts, before looking to the skinny man who addressed him first, "Yeah, you're right. I'm from another world."

(Play: MHA OST - I'll Become a Hero!)

If this were Timeless River, the man's jaw would've dropped to the floor, but their reactions were exactly what Sora would expect. Shock, and disbelief.

"You're… you're not joking." the man stammered. It wasn't a question.

"I'm not." Sora replied. "I mean… I was supposed to keep it a secret, but… you kinda figured it out already."

"I… I see…"

"I-I'm not here to cause any trouble, if that's what you're worried about," the Keyblade wielder said, "It's just… well…"

Yagi raised a hand, "Please. Don't tell us more if you're not comfortable. If talking about other worlds is taboo for you, it's meant to be unspoken for a reason. We can just leave it at that for now."

Sora stared at him, before saying, "Thanks, but… you're definitely going to ask more questions if something from my world happens to show up here."

"And the chances of that?"

"...I'm not sure, actually. It kind of involves that battle with Yozora I was talking about."

Toshinori pauses, eyes narrowed, "You said that he wouldn't be after you."

"He won't. Not for a while," The boy recalled Yozora's last words.

"I guess… my powers aren't needed yet…"

If that meant anything, Yozora wouldn't be bothering him for some time. At least, until his strength was required by whoever, or whatever, sent him to "save" him. But that wasn't important right now.

Right now, he needed to clear things up with Toshinori and Izuku.

"So… what do you want to hear, Toshinori?" Sora asked.

"Not the whole story. I just want to know how you got here and what it means for us." Yagi replied, "You fought this person… Yozora… so you both have powers."

"Is that what you meant by 'quirk?'"

The man nodded, "That's the term we use for people with meta-abilities here on Earth."

"Earth…" Sora repeated, before perking up, "Wait… Earth?"

"You know of this place?"

"Maybe… there was a friend of mine who came from there, but I dunno if it's the same world as this one." Sora replied, before shaking his head, "I'll have to ask him when I find a way back home."

"By home… you mean your world."

"Uh-huh." Sora answered, "And to answer your earlier question, Yozora and I have special powers too."

"What can you do?"

"This," Sora raised his hand and light suddenly filled the room for a brief second, before the Kingdom Key materialized in his hand. Izuku's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates.

"Long story short, in my world, magic's real, and this is a Keyblade. It's a weapon that acts like a sword, key, and a magic wand, and I can call and dismiss it at will." the boy explained, "And where I'm from, you would call me a Keyblade wielder. There are more out there aside from myself, and our job is to protect the worlds from guys who want to cause harm to them."

"And does Yozora have this same power? Or was he one of those you're supposed to take care of?" Toshinori asked.

"I… actually don't know if he's a bad guy. It didn't seem like it to me from our fight… and as for his abilities, he had a crossbow and a beam sword, but he was also using a lot of technology to fight. I don't know if it was magic or not." Sora replied, thinking back. He didn't see Toshinori rub his head in confusion.

From what he could see from that action-packed battle, most of Yozora's powers seemed to stem from whatever weapons or technology he had on him, especially that stupid crossbow of his that could forcibly steal his weapon. At least, it seemed that way. He couldn't sense any form of magic from Yozora at all, and that was saying something, considering his skill and knowledge in magic was, in a friend's words, "average."

"A person that relies on Support Items to fight instead of a Quirk…" Izuku thought aloud, almost in surprise and awe.

Sora raised a brow, thinking back to Big Hero 6 and how they used their machines and inventions to fight evil. Did people like that not exist? Or was everyone in the world gifted with a special ability?

"Wait… what about you two?" Sora asked, "Surely you two have powers of your own."

At that, he noticed Izuku suddenly shrink into himself, and Yagi looked rather… uncomfortable at the question.

Uh oh… did he strike a nerve?

"Let's just say my power is a complicated topic for now. It's something we don't have time to explain." Toshinori admitted, "As for young Midoriya, he…" he looked at the young man, who looked rather nervous from Sora's question.

"He… doesn't have any special powers, does he?" Sora guessed, before smiling, "That's okay."

The green-haired student looked at him in surprise, as Sora replied, "I know a guy from another world and he saved the day with nothing but his wits; no powers involved. Who's to say you can't do the same? You even helped me out when I came out of that portal… Izuku, was it? You and Toshinori both. A regular person would've just left me on the ground like that and let the police take care of it."

"O-Oh… but I know anybody else would h-have done it-"

Sora shrugged, "Maybe. But you guys were the first to act. That definitely amounts to something, right?"

"He's got a point." Toshinori nodded, "Not many people would've done what you did, young man. You shouldn't downplay such an heroic act."

Izuku remained silent, face going slightly red from the praise. Sora's smile slightly faded. Poor guy's got self-esteem issues, huh?

"So… what now, Toshinori?" Sora asked the man. Said person rubbed his temples before sighing.

"For now… I don't see a reason to turn you in." he answered, "The only thing you'd be guilty of is disturbing the peace with that portal stunt and the damage you did to the concrete, which isn't much."

"Yeah… not everyday someone falls outta the sky, right?"

"Umm…" Sora looked at Yagi, who was now scratching his cheek. His eyes widened.

"...Don't tell me that's what actually happens here…!"

"More like once every two weeks. Sometimes twice."

"...Sheesh."

(Silence)

Izuku looked between the two of them, before speaking up and grabbing Sora's attention, "U-Uh… so where are you going to go, Sora?"

The boy opened his mouth, before he placed his hand on his chin in thought, "That's… a really good question. I can't exactly get back home just yet. Not in the state I'm in."

He hopped out of the bed, stretching and looking out the window, "So… I wouldn't mind exploring this new world for a while."

He turned to where Izuku was slack-jawed. "What?"

"Y-You're walking…!"

"Uh… yeah?"

"B-But the nurse said-!"

"Healing factor, I'm guessing," Toshinori answered, "It's probably one of your powers. Probably explains how you're standing without effort despite having muscle tears when we found you."

"Eh. I don't think too much about it," Sora replied, before looking out with hands behind his head, "Wow…"

(Play: Jojo's Bizzare Adventure: Stardust Crusaders OST - Setting Off)

Though the window didn't show much, he could see buildings that could scale the skies from a distance. If anything, this was just like the world he was in before, except…

There were cars going about, their wheels grinding on the road as they raced past each other. People moving around below in the streets, meeting others or entering stores. It was lively, compared to that ghost town that was always dark. If anything, this world looked like Twilight Town and San Fransokyo merged into one.

I wonder if the stars shine just as brightly as they did at home…

"It's a nice view, isn't it?"

Toshinori's voice caused him to look at the skinny man, who was now looking at it with him, with Izuku following a second later.

"Yep," Sora answered, "You think there are other views like this one here?"

"I'm sure there are, Young Sora."

The boy smiled, "So when can I leave the hospital?"

"When they're sure you don't have any lasting injuries."

"But there aren't any." his hands fell to the sides, "At least, I don't feel it."

"We'll be the judge of that."

The voice behind them made all three males jump in surprise. It was the nurse that had brought Toshinori and Izuku to Sora, as well as a second person who seemed to be a doctor.

"How are you feeling?" She addressed her question to Sora.

"Already feeling better." Sora replied, hands behind his head, "No broken bones, ma'am."

The raised brow, as well as the look on her face, probably meant that Sora's response didn't work as intended. Sure enough, he had to go through a couple of check-ups once he was up. Thankfully, it didn't take long, as his body was more or less fine after what would normally be a fatal fall from several stories high.

It was… way too common an occurrence for him, come to think of it. Was it a coincidence?

After bidding the nurse goodbye, Sora, Izuku, and Toshinori all left the hospital, with Izuku buzzing with questions.

"So there are other worlds out there? Just like this one?"

"Uh-huh. Each one's a little different, but there's always something cool about it that makes it unique and fun!" Sora replied, before looking around and whispering, "But I can't go off talking about it out loud. My friend gave me a long lecture the first time it happened."

"B-But why is it such a big deal? Think of all the possibilities!" Izuku's eyes sparkled, "That means there's a world out there that may have even more fascinating Quirks or powers or technology we can only dream of! We could learn so much from them!"

"Yeah, that's true." Sora nodded, before frowning, "But… that's the issue."

"Huh?"

"I believe Young Sora has a point. That information's a double-edged sword." Toshinori nodded, "Imagine if a villain were to get wind of there being other worlds… the disasters they could cause if they knew how to travel between the two as well… Young Sora was lucky enough that we weren't of that type when he revealed it to us."

Izuku gasped audibly, before looking down. They were lucky they weren't within hearing distance.

"Yeah… it's why we keep the existence of other worlds a secret." Sora answered. The three of them walked past a street before arriving at a bus stop.

"H-Hold on… where are you going to sleep, Sora?" Izuku realized, and the boy's eyes widened in response. The green-haired boy had a point. Sora literally had no place to go back to, and the Gummi Ship wasn't an option because it was, well… it wasn't how he got here.

"Oh, uh…" the Keyblade wielder rubbed his head, "I-I guess I could just sleep on a tree or something."

Both of his acquaintances' jaws dropped.

"What? I did that back on my home island."

"This isn't exactly like… your islands, Young Sora." Toshinori told him.

"I've managed it before, and I can do it again. I'll be fine!"

"Kid, you're going to cause a lot of trouble if that keeps up."

"W-Wait! You co-could sleep at my place!" Midoriya offered. The Keyblade wielder looked at him.

"You sure, Izuku? I don't wanna give your parents a scare."

"It's fine! I-I'll just tell Mom you're sleeping over for the night."

Sora blinked, before chuckling, "Okay. Your call. Let's just hope your mom's nice."

"She is!"

Soon, the sound of the bus came along, and the three of them hitched a ride, eventually coming to a stop near the apartment.

"Here's where we get off," Izuku told Sora, and the two began to walk out, before Toshinori stopped both of them.

"Wait. Both of you." the man said, "Young man, I promised to tell you everything, and I really plan to do so. But it's late. We're going to have to meet elsewhere so I can tell you." he looked over to Sora, "And that goes for you too, Young Sora."

"W-Wait! Are you sure that's alright?"

"He trusted us with his secret. It's only fair if we return the favor." Yagi gave a small smile, one that Sora returned with his own, "Meet me at Takoba Beach tomorrow after your class is finished. I'll explain everything there."

"A-Alright."

"Would you lot hurry up? Time's a-wastin' here!" the driver up front shouted.

"Give us a second!" Toshinori barked back, before turning back to the pair of teenagers, "Just meet up at the beach tomorrow. Until then, you two."

"See ya, Toshinori! Thanks for earlier!"

Izuku and Sora stepped off the bus, and it drove off. The two teens glanced at one another, and the Keyblade wielder broke the silence.

"Lead the way, Izuku."

Turns out, Izuku's mother, whose name was Inko, really did fit into what Izuku said about her. When he said he didn't have a place to go, she was totally fine with him staying for a few nights until Toshinori helped him out with finding one.

And it seems she was quite the cook, too. After she had offered him dinner, he had asked her about the recipe she used, and she gladly gave it to him on paper, though not without several pointers of her own to make the dish unique. She didn't have to, but she did.

Though there was the awkward moment where Inko asked about his outfit, something she noted felt weird, but Izuku covered for him and said that it was due to Sora's Quirk. It was probably best to not tell Inko of his otherworldly origins, lest she panic.

"Sora," Inko asked him while she was washing dishes. Izuku had gone to his room to do homework. "How did you and my son meet?"

"He… helped me out of a bind, believe it or not." Sora answered from the couch he was sitting on, going with the story he and Izuku had formed to explain, "I got caught in the crossfire of a villain attack, and he and Toshinori got me to a hospital before things got bad. I probably would still be stuck at the place if I wasn't pulled outta there by those two."

It was… mostly true. Sora only got here because of the two figures of light helping him, but Izuku and Toshinori did help him after his not-so-subtle face-first landing into the pavement. He'd probably be wandering the streets if they hadn't seen him or if he had landed somewhere else.

"He did that?" Inko turned to him, dropping the sponge she was holding, "Was he okay?! Did he get hurt?"

"He wasn't hurt. He and Toshinori arrived after the fight." Sora raised his hands up, "Only person who was injured was me."

"Oh, thank goodness… and I'm glad to see you're not hurt either, Sora."

"Heh." Sora shared a grin with her before looking towards Izuku's room, "Is he always nervous? He stutters a lot, and I only met him a while ago…"

Inko sighed, raising a hand. To Sora's surprise, the sponge on the floor came to her hand at will, seemingly from some form of psychic power. Was this her power?

"Izuku's always been a shy boy. It doesn't help that he doesn't have a Quirk." She admitted, "He still dreams of becoming a Hero, even if his situation isn't as great as other people around him."

Sora hummed at that, before asking, "How long has he had that dream?"

"Ever since he was young. All Might is his idol, if it wasn't obvious."

"All Might?" Sora asked, and she turned to him with a tilt of her head.

"The Number One Hero?" she asked, as if it would ring a bell for Sora, and he opened his mouth in understanding. Looks like All Might's reputation was just as common as Quirks were. He'd have to ask Toshinori about him tomorrow morning. Perhaps he knew something.

"He's got a lot of merchandise in relation to All Might in his room. It's only ever been growing."

"Heh." Sora chuckled, "I hope his wish comes true soon. Not all heroes need superpowers to save the day."

At that, Inko glanced towards Izuku's room, before smiling to herself. "I'm… glad to hear that from you. Very few believe that now with all these Quirks running around."

"...Is Izuku the only one you know that doesn't have a quirk?"

"No. I know a few others."

Sora noted that her eyes, compared to her smile, seemed to tell a different tale of how she felt. But he was no fool to pry, however curious about Izuku's past he may be. "I see."

"Do you need anything else?"

"No, Ms. Midoriya. I think I'm okay. Just need to rest a bit and I'll be right as rain," Sora flopped onto the couch and yawned, "Thanks for taking me in for the night,"

"Anything for a friend of my son." she said, her eyes now matching her smile again, "And please, call me Inko. Rest well, okay?"

"Sure thing. G'Night."

Inko then turned off the lights, and Sora closed his eyes, letting sleep take over.

What a day it had been.

That's a wrap. Chapter 2 is complete.

Sora lands in MHA. But what is in store for him in this new world?

So yeah, I decided to write out the OMORI expys. They weren't doing much for the story anyways. Not in the way I wanted, at least. To make sure their inclusion doesn't mess up the flow, I made the choice to omit them out.

As for All Might discerning Sora's identity, he's not stupid. He knows that there's something off with Sora, especially with the portal / crack in the sky. And as for the clothes feeling out of place for both Toshinori and Izuku, it's to show the nature of the other side, and that magic takes a different shape in the other side that isn't familiar with its inhabitants. It might not be the best way for him and Izuku to discover Sora's true origins, but it's the best I've got.

To Answer Reviews

Captain Imaginat: Sorry, but such a request can't be done. I have said it before to you, Captain, and I'll say it again. At the end of the day, this is my story, and I'm afraid I don't have anything regarding Disney planned to interfere in this story. I'm sure with your ideas, you'll be able to write that story yourself, but please, don't try and write in your own story to mess with mine. I believe you can do it, Captain!

OmegaDelta: Hopefully not too long. Sora's lost his powers way too often.

Shadow Tiger24: I hope to please, Shadow Tiger. Let's hope this doesn't crash and burn like my old project.

Nehz XZX: I'm glad you saw what I was trying to do with Yozora's fight. And you're right in regards to Cure magic being able to at least help targets recover some form of stamina. Issue is, does Sora remember how to use Cure...?

PUBLISH: Of course, Publish. I'll let ya know if I find myself blocked.

Guest: Oh no he won't. Or will he...? As for the figures, keep on guessing. I put them there for a reason. Stay safe out there.

Guest: Sorry about how annoyed this made you. Hope the next story you find will be better.

Me-B-Wee-G: I agree. Sora doesn't have to be everywhere Izuku is. There's always other situations that can be caused with the butterfly effect in place.

Breeden22: I'm glad to see you're excited. I hope I don't disappoint.

Gamelover41592: Thanks.

keybladelight: I'm going to keep to myself on this one. The old project should give some clues, though, on who might show up.

Guest: Honestly? I'd be interested to see a universe where Izuku had a Quirk from the start. But alas, this story won't have that.

ZeroOrHero: I'm glad you noticed. And yes, Sora really really needed those items to fight Yozora, in my opinion. If we're introducing a new potential threat, it has to be stronger than what we've seen. As for the one who has eyes on Sora, perhaps it's someone we know...

The OC Maniac: I'm glad to see that you have faith in me, OC. I hope the best for TLaHP as well. Keep working your magic with MYHGB and OOA!

KeybladeMosstar: It was honestly a mix of both. But that doesn't mean that the comments were all mean. I found wisdom in some of them, and none of them simply just said "Boo, your fic sucks and I won't say why." It's like leaving a mess for someone else to clean up and not caring about telling anybody how it happened.

I hope this chapter was enjoyable to all who read it. Until our paths cross again.

(Silence)

"How…"

He couldn't believe it, even after giving it everything he had, even if the roof of the building was more or less trashed. How was his opponent still not breaking a sweat? The man before him just stared at him without emotion, advancing towards him without malice or warmth.

He had to get up. He had to…

Fight…

"How could…"

"Sorry." the man said, "But I don't lose."

His thoughts were fading… and his body… he could no longer move it…

It felt like sleeping… yet… it wasn't at the same time. What was going on?

Before everything fell to darkness, he heard the man's voice one last time.

"I will save you."

Yet… it didn't feel like he was speaking to him.

Sora gasped, moving up in a clumsy motion, nearly falling off the couch. He rubbed his head, before looking around the Midoriya residence. It was dark, and it looked like Izuku and Inko were still asleep.

A nightmare?

He had to restrain himself from thinking about the Dream Eater variant, otherwise he'll get worried over nothing. A regular nightmare wasn't something to be too worried about. But what did he dream about?

He couldn't remember.

Sighing, he lied back down and closed his eyes, hands behind his head.

It couldn't have been important… right?

Oh you sweet summer child. You don't know just how lucky you were.
