Shortly after the Lilycove Contest has concluded, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill were heading for the Pokémon Center when they bumped right into Ash, Leaf, Brendan, May, and Max, congratulating her for earning her fourth Contest Ribbon.

"I have to say, it was some quick thinking of turning the tables on that Grumpig during the Contest," Ash said.

"Yeah, it was awesome," May said.

"Thanks, everyone. I appreciate it," Kairi said.

"Eevee," Angel said.

"Eevee, vee," Celeste said.

"That means your next Gym battle is right around the corner," Max said.

"Well, we're gonna have to reach Mossdeep City first, and be on the lookout for Team Aqua and Team Magma on the way over," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu and Xipak said.

Sora heard his Rotom Phone ringing, so he took it out of his pocket and saw it was Tai calling him. He answered it.

"Hey, Tai, what's up?" Sora asked.

"Ketchum, I'm glad I caught you. We saw Kairi on TV in the Pokémon Contest. We were all at the edge of our seats," Tai said.

"That's great, Tai. Glad you enjoyed it. I did, too," Sora said.

"And so am I," Kairi said.

"Where are you guys anyway?" Sora asked.

"We're at the Pokémon Center right here in Lilycove City. We got here just before the Contest even started. We rooted hard for Kairi. But that's not why I'm calling you," Tai said.

"Why not?" Sora asked.

"The reason I'm calling is because Izzy said that there's something that you and the others would be interested in," Tai said.

"We'll be right there, Tai. Just hold down the fort until we get there," Sora said.

"Can do," Tai said, breaking contact.

"What do you think Izzy wants to show us?" May asked.

"I think we're gonna find out when we get there," Sora said.

"He's right. I'm curious at what he wants to say," Riku said.

With that agreed, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill walked down the streets of Lilycove City until they've reached the Pokémon Center. There, they found Tai, Davis, Takato, Takuya, and their DigiDestined teams, and their Pokémon companions at the Pokémon Center, waiting for them. Amy is right with them.

"Takato, Henry, Rika, Jeri, Kenta, Kazu, Ryo, Suzie," Sora said.

"Takuya, Koji, Tommy, Zoe, JP, Koichi," Brendan said.

"Greetings, Keyblade holders. Glad you could join the party," JP said.

"We were expecting Tai, Davis, and his team, but the rest of you guys surprised us," Leaf said.

"Yeah, what are you all doing here?" Ethan asked.

"And when did Takato's team meet up with Tai and Takuya's?" May asked.

"It's a long story, but we can explain later. We're just glad you're here. But, let's talk somewhere private," Izzy said.

The group followed the DigiDestined teams to a room where they would talk.

"Okay, Izzy, since we're here, what's all about?" Sora asked.

"Is there something going on?" Ash asked.

"Something that we should know about?" Kairi asked.

"As a matter of fact, there is," Izzy said, pushing some buttons and then a vortex opened before the group.

"Whoa!" The Keyblade wielders, Max, and Lisia exclaimed.

"What is that?" Max asked.

"That's the gateway to the Digital World," Izzy said.

"The Digital World? For real?" Riku asked.

"Yeah, that's right. I've been working on it for quite a while, and we all agreed that we shall share this experience with the rest of you since you had some experience traveling through different worlds," Izzy said.

"Well, technically, that would have been Sora and Kairi's experience, and the rest of us only went to Hollow Bastion a while back when we were finding out about the computer that Ansem the Wise was using before," Ash said.

"Regardless, it still counts," Izzy said.

"The Digital World is somewhat like ours, but really different," Henry said.

"Not to mention, not just anyone can enter it, and we had a lot of talk about using it," Takato said.

"I think we get why you would," Riku said.

"Well, I have wondered what the Digital World would be like, so it should be a fun experience," May said.

"Well, if May's on board, then I am, too," Brendan said.

"Me too," Kris said.

"Me three," Naminé said.

The rest of the Keyblade wielders voiced their opinions.

"It looks like they're all in, Izzy," Sora T said.

"I agree. Quickly. We should enter it before it closes," Izzy said.

Not needing to be told twice, the group entered the vortex and closed once everyone were right inside. They came out from the other side and right in the middle of a jungle.

"Hey, did it work?" Ethan asked.

"I think it did. We were just inside the Pokémon Center just a little while ago, and now, we're in a jungle," Lisia said.

"Is this the Digital World?" Lyra asked.

"Yeah, it is. It's cool, isn't it?" Davis asked.

"Yeah. I was expecting it to be more digitized," Sora said.

"Yeah, kinda like a video game," Max said, looking around.

"Max, stay close. We're in a strange world, and we have no idea where anything is here," May said.

"No, but they do," Amy said, gesturing to the DigiDestined.

"Come on, guys. We got some friends to find," Tai said.

"I agree. We promised to introduce them when we get here," Ken said.

"Let's get a move on," Tommy said.

With that said, the group made their way through the jungle and looked around. As they looked, Max spotted a vending machine, filled with some candy inside.

"Guys, look! A vending machine," Max said.

"You know, I think I'm getting hungry. I could use something to snack on. Let's see what they got," Ethan said as he and Max went over to the vending machine. Just when they approached, out came what looked like slug-like creatures. They were all green and they all had red eyes, blue spots on their backs, and teeth and a tongue in its mouths. Ethan and Max screamed as the slugs were stampeding out of the vending machine. The group saw the slugs crawl away until they were all gone.

"Are you okay?" Kris asked with concern.

"Yeah, we're okay. I think," Ethan said in a daze before he shook it off.

"Were those things we just saw Digimon?" Sora asked.

"Yeah, they were. Those Digimon we just saw were Numemon," Sora T said.

"Numemon?" May asked.

"They're disgusting Digimon. One of the grossest," Mimi said.

"There are lots of others that are cuter than the Numemon," Kari said.

"And there are some scary ones, too," TK said.

"And there are some that are really cool," Tommy said.

"And some that are really pretty," Jeri said.

"Do they all come out of vending machines, or is it just them?" Sora asked.

Before anyone could say anything, something tackled into Sora, alarming everyone. It was a short and stout Tyrannosaurus rex-like Digimon standing about 3 feet tall, and has amber orange skin and light green eyes. It also has flattened forearms with broad, three-clawed hands, and distinct pectoral muscles. Its legs and arms are shown to be very vascular. Its tail is stubby, and its head and snout are almost as large as the rest of its body. The dinosaur was nuzzling Sora affectionately.

"Tai! I'm so happy that you're here! I knew I recognized your scent!" The dinosaur said.

"You got me all wrong there," Sora said.

"Agumon, I'm over here," Tai said. Agumon stopped and he looked right at Sora and then he turned around and he saw Tai with the group.

"Tai! Tai!" Agumon happily exclaimed as he got off Sora.

"I'm glad to see you, Agumon. Have you been?" Tai asked.

"I missed you like crazy. I thought of you every day since the last time we saw each other," Agumon said.

"Me too, buddy," Tai said.

"It's good to see you, Agumon," Kari said. Agumon looked right at Kari.

"Kari! You're here, too!" Agumon said. Sora got up and walked up to Tai and Agumon.

"So you're the famous Agumon Tai told me about," Sora said. Agumon just stared right at Sora.

"Who are you?" Agumon asked.

"Agumon, meet Sora Ketchum. He's a friend of ours," Kari said.

"You mean, this is the boy Sora? He doesn't look like anything like I thought he would, except for his hair," Agumon said. Sora also flinched when Max snickered.

"How did you mean it exactly?" Sora asked.

"Well, I thought you would like our Sora, but you'd have brown hair instead of red," Agumon said. Sora sighed at the comparison when Lisia, Max, and the other Keyblade wielders approached him.

"Tai told us about you, too, Agumon. You already met Sora, so meet Pikachu, his partner, and that's Xipak My name's Kairi, and this is my partner Angel, and this is Celeste," Kairi introduced herself.

"I'm Riku, and this is Eevee."

"My name's Naminé, and this is Azurill."

"I'm Ash."

"I'm Leaf."

"I'm Ethan."

"My name's Kris."

"I'm Lyra, and this is Marill."

"I'm Brendan."

"My name's May."

"Hi, Agumon, my name's Max."

"And I'm Lisia. It's nice to meet you."

"And I'm Amy. Nice to meet you," Amy said as she finished with the introductions.

"You too," Agumon said. "Tai has told me all about you guys. Any friend of Tai's is always welcomed here." Agumon smiled. He looked around to the other two DigiDestined teams. "And I know about you. Takato, Henry, Rika, Jeri, Kenta, Kazu, Ryo, and Suzie are the Digimon Tamers, and there's you. Takuya, Zoe, Tommy, JP, Koji, and Koichi. It's said that you six have the spirits of the 10 legendary warriors. The warriors of fire, light, ice, wind, thunder, and darkness."

"Legendary warriors?" May asked.

"Spirits?" Lyra asked.

"Long story," JP deadpanned.

"Looks like our reputations proceeds us," Henry said.

"Sure does," Koichi agreed.

"Did Tai tell you anything specific?" Sora asked.

"He did, but I think the others should hear about it. They're already in the town nearby," Agumon said.

"Lead the way, Agumon," Takuya said.

With that said, Agumon leads the humans and Pokémon right to a nearby town. Inhabiting the town were various Digimon coming in all shapes

"And here we are," Agumon said.

The Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers, Lisia, and Max looked around and almost flinched when a flying Digimon flew over them. When it landed, they saw it was a horse-like Digimon that was a mix between a unicorn and a pegasus. It has white fur, a blonde mane, and wears a metallic, red mask which the horn appears to be part of. It is scarred all over its body. This Digimon is Unimon. Agumon leads the group to a group of 11 other Digimon.

One of them is a maroon-eyed yellow-skinned lizard in a bluish-white pelt with navy blue markings and purple claws. A yellow horn protrudes at the top of its head and its belly is blue with unusual pink markings.

The other is a pink bird with arm-like wings, a feather mane, a red beak, blue eyes, blue stripes on its crest, blue borders on two of its head feathers and its tail feathers, yellow legs, and red claws on its wings and feet. It wears a metallic ring on its left leg.

Another is a bipedal Digimon with four arms with the first pair each ending in a single grey talon. It has large, green eyes, mouth-like mandibles, and two yellow antennae reaching out from its head. Its elytra is covered with grey spines. It is red and brownish green in coloration with black muscle in the face, neck, the brachium of its arms, and its thighs.

Another is a green, bipedal, mandrake-like Digimon with a tail and small bumps lining its back. It has large, root-like feet and foliage-like hands. Each hand has three purple-tipped vines that act like fingers. The top of its head is adorned with a pink and yellow flower with a long, yellow stamen with a red tip.

Another is a white, furry sea lion with no nose and long ears, green eyes, purple markings, an orange-red mane, large black claws, a tail like that of a sea otter, and a W-shaped smile with two pointed teeth popping out.

Another is a bipedal dragon Digimon with blue skin and red eyes. It has white coloration in its belly and snout, a small horn on its nose, two ear-like appendages on its head, a yellow "V"-shaped mark on its forehead, and two yellow upside-down triangle marks under its eyes. It has five fingers on its hands and three toes on each foot, and a claw on each finger and toe.

Another is a small green caterpillar with a pair of long antennae and ten legs with pink claws and purple mandibles. It has a black band resembling a ring around its abdomen and two pink spines on the end of it.

Another is a small Digimon resembling a bald eagle with red feathers and large yellow feet. Its wings each have three digits, and it can use them like fingers. It has clear blue eyes, and wears a black belt around its forehead. On the back of its head, secured by the belt, is a feather.

Another is a small armadillo-like Digimon with three-clawed limbs and a short tail. It is primarily yellow with a purple underside.

Another is a small flying creature resembling a guinea pig with light blue eyes, bat-like wings which could possibly be its ears, and a short, stubby tail. Its underside is a light cream color, while its back and head are orange.

And the eleventh one appears similar to a white Egyptian cat wearing large lime yellow and red striped gloves with black claws sticking out of them. Its ears are large with tufts of purple hair on the tips reminiscent of a caracal. Its tail has purple stripes with a tuft on the end and it wears a gold ring on it.

"Guys, look who I brought!" Agumon said. This gets the attention of the other Digimon and their faces lit up like it was Christmas.

Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Amy, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, and Marill watched on, seeing the other members of the DigiDestined reunited with their partners again, but they didn't see the Tamers' Digimon or the Digimon on Takuya's team.

"You're a sight for these big, green, sore eyes," Tentomon said.

"Did you get new glasses, Yolei?" Hawkmon asked.

"These are the same pair I always had," Yolei said.

As the Digimon were getting reacquainted with their partners, Tentomon noticed the other humans and the Pokémon with them.

"Um, excuse me, but who are you?" Tentomon asked. The rest of the Digimon looked at the rest of the group.

"They're friends of Tai and the others. Meet Kairi, Riku, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Amy, Takato, Henry, Rika, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Ryo, Suzie, Takuya, Koji, Koichi, Zoe, Tommy, JP, and Sora Ketchum," Agumon introduced the group.

"Sora Ketchum? You mean the boy who has the same name as Sora?" Patamon asked.

"He's got hair like Tai," Veemon said.

"No way, because, Tai's hair's bigger than that, and not so prickly," Gomamon said.

"I already got that comparison," Sora said.

"Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"Pikachu," Xipak said.

"We just call him Sora 2 just to avoid confusion," Ken said.

"That's good to know, because I was having trouble with who's who," Armadillomon said. Just then, Guil walked up to the Digimon and he sniffed them all.

"Guil, knock it off. It's rude," Takato scolded the Charmeleon. He looked right at the Digimon. "Sorry, he's still young."

"Charmeleon," Guil said.

"It's okay, Takato," Biyomon said.

"No harm, no foul," Palmon said.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you guys know Guilmon by any chance," Takato said.

"Huh? Guilmon?" Veemon asked.

"Wait, isn't he that red guy who has an obsession with bread?" Gomamon asked.

"Yeah, that's him. Takato, was it? We do know him, but he's been out of town for the last several days, so we have no idea on where he is," Gabumon said.

"Oh," Takato said sadly, disappointed that he didn't get to see him. Jeri felt sorry for Takato, because she wanted to see him, too, and her own partner.

"What two other Digimon by the name of Bokomon and Neemon?" Takuya asked.

"Well, they should be at the local library, but Bokomon doesn't get out very much, but I think I saw Neemon just a little while ago," Tentomon said.

"Why? Do you know them?" Gabumon asked.

"We do actually," Tommy said.

"They were with us the last time we were here," JP said.

"So if you know where it is, then would you please show us?" Zoe asked.

The 12 Digimon whispered to one another and then nodded in full agreement.

"Okay, let's go," Agumon said.

With that said, the group of humans, Pokémon, and Digimon wondered through the town. As they journeyed through the town, they hear some screaming not too far away. Turning around, they saw some Numemon and a plant-like Digimon that has long, outstretched vines and a wide, open mouth, and a round, legless bottom. It also has a flower-like crest on its head. This Digimon is Vegiemon.

"Run for your lives!" One of the Numemon shouted.

"Run from what?" Agumon asked. He got his answer when several Shadows emerged from the ground as Soldiers, Large Bodies, Air Soldiers, Magnum Loaders, Strafers, and a Devastator appeared. "What in the world?"

"What are they?" Veemon asked.

"Heartless!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, and Lisia all exclaimed.

"Man, isn't there a world they haven't found?" Sora asked.

"Those are the Heartless?" Biyomon asked.

"We gotta get rid of 'em!" Gabumon said.

"You're right! Let me at 'em!" Veemon said before Sora stepped in.

"Let us handle 'em," Sora said as he, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May summoned their Keyblades.

The Shadows scratched at the Keyblade wielders as Pikachu and Xipak used a combo Iron Tail on a couple of Shadows. Angel and Celeste used a combo Iron Tail on a Large Body, taking it down. The Devastator fired a charged shot at them, but they managed to dodge. Brendan jumped and slashed at the Devastator, destroying it. The Soldiers were spinning around to attack as Ethan and May dodged and slashed through the Soldiers. A Large Body charged right at them as Kris casts her music spell. The music notes struck the Large Body, surrounding its body in a dark aura. It rushes towards a Kris with its stomach, but Marill saved her by firing Bubble Beam at the large Heartless, and Lyra finished it off. Several Shadows came at Riku, but he fends them off by swinging his Braveheart as Naminé swings her Oathkeeper at the Shadows. Kairi casts a crystal fire spell, burning the Strafers as Sora held his Kingdom Key tightly and he slashed through the Magnum Loaders and Shadows, destroying them. Ash and Leaf slashed through a handful of Soldiers. Pikachu and Xipak unleashed a double Thunderbolt, shocking the remaining Heartless, destroying them all.

The Digimon were at awe by what they saw. They couldn't believe that a team of humans have destroyed several monsters with key-like weapons.

"You don't see that everyday," Agumon said in awe.

"No, we don't," the other Digimon agreed.

Now that the introductions were out of the way, but it would seem that even the Digital World isn't safe from the Heartless, but what could it mean? Could evil Digimon take advantage of the situations, and how will it look when they learn about Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, and their abilities to use the Keyblades?
