I have a problem. I have an idea, and it won't go away...so I have to do it.

For real, I WON'T continue this until at least one of my stories reaches its ending. I just can't let this go away, and I actually just thought this up recently...so I do need to plan all of this, but in the meantime, this is all you're getting for now. X(

But now that's out of the way, here is the disclaimer! :)

(Update: I decided to change Gomu into Gomi. Sorry about that, I was trying to play on the word Gomu, like he's made of rubber and all that, and since MHA names are kind of like puns in a way, I thought it sounded appropriate. But now, I realized, "Yeah, that was a bad idea", and I changed the name. It just sounds a lot more like a real name, ya know? XP )

DISCLAIMER: My Hero Academia is owned by Kohei Horikoshi. One Piece is owned by Eiichiro Oda. I own this bizarre yet fun little crossover-ish story! Enjoy! :D

...The King has passed...

The King of the Pirates has passed on.

But not by weapons, illness, or human hands.

But...by age.

His time has come to pass...to pass on from the living world.

Going through many battles, hardships, and even losses, The Great Pirate King has finally achieved rest...

While he dealt with the lows of his life, they only made him stronger, making his highs immensely great. He dealt with and conquered evil pirates, corrupted government officials, warlords, emperors, and gods, and came out victorious...with, the help of his friends he so cherishes.

His friends...his crew...his family...

The Pirate King lived fully to his extent, going on vast adventures, never losing the true meaning of a pirate...

Freedom .

He lived throughout his days as he grew older, and started a family with one of his most loyal crew members.

He grew old...and that was when his time had come.

He lived life to the fullest...with no true regrets. He was surrounded by those who respected him...those who loved him...

He said his final goodbyes...and that...was when he slept...

His memory lives on with those who cherished him...

And so passed the Great Pirate King...

Monkey D. Luffy.

...But that's not the end of the legacy of Monkey D. Luffy. For there are mysterious ways the Heavens plan things...

Seeing the Cosmos ahead of him, Pirate King Luffy was intrigued by the ethereal Universe that was in front of him...upon being summoned by the High God, He asked Luffy if he wished to proceed into the Heavenly Realm, or venture out into the Universe...knowing what Luffy will say, the Pirate King said this:

"Hey, a little more adventure sounds like fun! No offense, Mr. God Guy, but I like to see what the Universe has to offer!"

And so, the High God allows him to explore. When Luffy finds a world of his choosing, he sees one world, a world full of technological advances, cultures, and certain powers that reside in people called...Quirks.

Upon asking if he could go to this 'interesting' world, the High God granted his wish...however, He told Luffy that he would be reincarnated instead of being sent there. Only he could be reincarnated into a child or person who is close to death...

...And yet, there was a child who was born, but has a terrible heart condition. The mother also died of childbirth.

He was born into a family of a man, the child's father, and a younger man, the child's brother. The man was a Hero, his Quirk of the stretching variety. His Hero name was Rubber Band, and his real name was Sora Toyomitsu, his age being 35. The child's brother was named Taishiro Toyomitsu, his age being 14.

Luffy felt compassion for the family, and wanted to let the baby live...he knew what he must do.

And so, the High God allows him to enter the body of this dying child...

Soon, the Pirate King, Luffy, will reincarnate into another very young soul, the child now having a second life...

But while he'll revive the child, Luffy will still know who he is in himself, regaining his memory of his past life...yet, he will not...and yet, he will be Luffy once the child wakes up. He is now in the body of the child...the young baby boy that starts life anew...

The boy would be named Gomi Toyomitsu...but he'll still be, in his mind, Monkey D. Luffy .

This is the story of how the Pirate King Luffy...became a boy, once again...

In another world.

...Bits of Who I Am...

PROLOGUE

Thirty-nine-year-old Sora Toyomitsu basically waited for the results of his youngest son, Gomi, while eighteen-year-old Taishiro waited for any news on his four-year-old brother, both of them sitting on the chairs in the waiting room.

Sora was quite the handsome man, with his tall and well-built physique, short dark raven hair, slightly tanned skin, and angular facial features on display without his Hero costume, wearing casual clothes that consisted of a buttoned-up blue shirt, some jeans, and casual brown shoes. With his strong build, and his Quirk being Rubber, he had to be in fit condition to lift debris off of pedestrians and deliver strong punches to his foes. Sora, also known as Rubber Band, already has a Hero Agency, the Rubber Band Agency, in Osaka where he and his two sons live, and was gradually climbing up his career in the Hero Ranks. Of course, he really wasn't focusing on being No.1, as Rubber Band was only a Hero because he truly wanted to help people, whether it be helping citizens, preserving the peace, or even stopping crime and saving people from natural disasters. It's in the Toyomitsu family line, Sora's great-great-grandfather being a police officer back in his day. His family history even inspired Taishiro, his oldest son, to follow in his father's footsteps, attending UA.

Taishiro is in his third year at UA, and his Quirk, Fat Absorption, got him far in the Practical Exam when he was applying for UA at the age of fifteen, not only getting a lot of points in the test but adding rescue points in the exam as well. He wanted to make his father proud and show that he had the same caring and heroic spirit that he still has. The teenager was also tall for his age, but not as tall as his father, having blond short hair. He has a lean but toned build and is wearing an orange short-sleeved shirt and some dark blue jeans, along with some red and white sneakers.

It was a month after Gomi's birthday, that being May 5th, to see if his Quirk had manifested yet...

Taishiro looked down at his phone at the time and muttered, "Man, I wonder what's taking so long..."

"These things take a while, Taishiro," Sora assured his oldest son, "His Quirk diagnosis takes a good amount of research, even an X-ray is required. Don't worry, we'll know soon."

"...Right..." Taishiro nodded but still looked unsure as he looked down at the floor.

Sora noticed this and asked him in concern, "What's wrong, son? You look a little bothered."

"...Dad, has Gomi acted...a little strange recently?" Taishiro asked as he turned his head to his father.

"Strange?" Sora blinked, "How so?"

"Well...I know he's a toddler, but..." Taishiro looked down again as he was in thought...he looked at his father again and said, "Has he been...calling out certain names around you recently?"

"Hm? Calling out names? What kind of names? Is he, uh...insulting anybody?" Sora asked him, a little confused and worried.

"No, not insults, just...names..." Taishiro glanced down at his lap...until he looked at his father again, "Have you ever heard or met someone named a Sabo?"

"Huh? Sabo?" Sora looked really confused, "Who is that?"

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking. Gomi just looked at me one day and said I reminded him of this Sabo. I asked him who that was, and he said...one of his brothers."

Now Sora was completely puzzled, "One of his...brothers? What did he mean by that? You and Gomu are the only sons I have."

"...I don't know," Taishiro said, his face looking a little disturbed, "But, that's not all. He's calling out different names almost every day. Even in preschool."

"In preschool?" Sora's eyes widened in shock.

Yeah. The caregivers told me about it whenever I pick him up at preschool." Taishiro explained, "He calls out names, and it scares the kids in his class a little bit."

Sora was now starting to feel a lot more concerned. "What...kind of names are they?"

"Well...I was told he wasn't calling out any of these names to these kids or anything, and the caregivers couldn't get all the names. But even then, while we were at the house, he blurts them out every once in a while whenever I'm with him. Like he's remembering them or...something..."

Sora frowned, now feeling worried about all this, "Son, why didn't you tell me this?"

"I mean, it happened recently when he turned four, and I thought it was a phase," Taishiro defended, "But now...it's been a month, and...maybe it's something to do with his Quirk?"

His father thought about it, "...I don't know...it...it could be something..." shaking his head, "No, now I'm just making up theories."

"What? What do you think?" Taishiro asked his dad.

"...I don't know, but maybe it could be revolved around..." Sora's expression turned somber, "...Your mother's passing."

Taishiro's eyes widened and looked surprised.

"...She died giving birth to your brother...and your brother was in bad shape when he was born. He was so close to death...but miraculously, he survived...whether it be the doctors or our prayers, he lived..." Sora narrowed his eyes at the memory, "...We would've lost your brother that day...and your mother gave us one last gift before she passed..."

The teen frowned as he remembered his mother...

"...She was a great woman and a great mom..." Taishiro said solemnly.

"Yes...she was..." Sora nodded.

Both men tried not to shed any tears at that memory...

"...Either way, your brother Gomi might have some kind of...repercussion when..." Sora sighed shakily and tried not to think about it...

"..." Taishiro knew what he was going to say.

When Gomi died.

His father said he was so close to death, when in reality, he actually...did die. That's why it was such a miracle and a shock that his little heartbeat was beating again after three seconds he was deceased.

"...I think...maybe when he woke up from...his short nap, that...his mind is reacting differently..." Sora grunted, "I don't know. It sounds ridiculous, but we live in an age of Quirks, so..." he looked at his son, Taishiro, "What do you think, son?"

"...I mean...it might hold water..." Taishiro thought about it, "...These names, though, that Gomi spoke out were like...well, for one thing, some of them don't sound Japanese. Some sounded...I don't know, they were names like, Usopp, Chopper, Brook, Franky, Robin, Ace, and then there are some names that sound Japanese like Nami, Sanji, Jimbei, Yamato, and Zoro..."

Sora...also looked surprised. "Wow...that many?"

"Yeah...there may be more, but that's the ones I can think of on the top of my head," Taishiro informed.

"...Well, those sound like very specific names."

"Heh...that's what I said to Gomi..." Taishiro was silent, until he said to his father, "Gomi will be alright...right?"

"..." Sora also went silent for a second, until he gave his oldest son a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, Taishiro. Maybe...it is a phase that Gomi's going through. I mean...maybe his Quirk could be a psychic?"

Taishiro gave him a deadpan look, "Dad, no one in our family is a psychic. Besides, I think that kind of thing is a little different than having a Quirk."

"...Well, it would still be kind of cool."

Before Taishiro could argue with that, the door to the doctor's examination room opened as he came out.

The father and son both got up from their seats and waited for the verdict.

The doctor, however, looked at them, gazing at them a little...sympathetically...

...That wasn't a good sign.

"Gomi's Quirkless!?" Taishiro exclaimed in shock.

Sora sat there stunned...

The doctor, the man having antlers, nodded a little soberly, "Yes. I'm really sorry to give you all that news...I really am," he muttered with a sad frown, truly feeling for the two and the youngest Toyomitsu boy.

Gomi stood next to the standing Taishiro, looking a little confused. His entire appearance was that of a small boy, his short hair a dark black raven color, his wide eyes glancing at his older brother and father. He was wearing, oddly enough, a white shirt that said the word "ANCHOR' on it, while sporting some blue shorts and sandals on his feet.

"How...How is he Quirkless?" Sora asked him, not believing it.

"Well...we gave him the standard procedures, the reflex, endurance, nerve, strength, even the problem-solving and intellectual test...although, that last test was..." the doctor scratched the side of his head, "Well...it was interesting, to say the least."

Sora and Tashiro blinked at that. Gomi just looked up at the dish of candy that was on the doctor's desk. Mouth forming an 'o', he waddled over to the desk and tried to reach for the candy.

"Interesting? What do you mean by that?" Sora asked the doctor.

"...Well, let's focus on the subject at hand," the doctor told him, "Now...upon doing all these tests, he actually did...pretty decently well."

"Decently?" Taishiro asked the doctor, his eyebrows shot up as he grew concerned.

"Well, his comprehension skills are good, as well as his reaction times, though, he needs help with his literacy skills and...well, in the problem-solving section, he usually has the most problem with. One of the tests he had a problem with, was a four-pieced jig-saw puzzle that he tried to put together."

...Taishiro and Sora looked at each other in worry. Gomi was still reaching for the candy in the dish.

"He did do pretty well with the physical side of things, all things considered," the doctor told them, "But...well, when we did the X-rays...we found something."

Sora and Taishiro looked back at the doctor, their curiosity piqued.

"What...did you find?" Taishiro asked him.

"..." The doctor went to his computer and typed and clicked some things in. When he got the image up, he turned his computer screen to let them view what was on it.

"From our X-rays, he...has an appendix," the doctor revealed.

Taishiro and Sora looked taken aback, their faces full of shock.

"An...An appendix?" Taishiro breathed out.

"G-...Gomi has an appendix?" Sora asked, truly in disbelief.

"It's shocking, I know," the doctor continued, "You would think that with Quirk evolutions, we would be better off without it by now...however, it would seem your son needs to have one."

"So...Gomi won't have a Quirk?" Taishiro asked in despair.

"I'm afraid that's the case," the doctor said with a nod. However, he said, "Although, he has great physical endurance, and his reaction and reflex times are actually pretty good for someone his age."

"I see..." Sora lowered his head somberly.

The doctor looked at the father and frowned, asking him, "Were you hoping he would be a Hero?"

Sora smiled sadly, "Well...kind of. Actually, a small part of me is honestly glad he doesn't have a Quirk. Hero business is a little dangerous, you know?"

Nodding to that, the doctor hummed, "That I see on the news...however, I want to ask, what does Gomi want to do when he grows up?"

Sora looked up at the doctor to answer when he saw Gomi try to reach for the candy in the candy dish. Smiling at his son's persistence, he directed his attention to the doctor, "Excuse me, but my son wants some candy from your dish."

"Oh! Why of course! I mean, he has been a good boy throughout this whole thing!" the doctor got up and went to the candy dish, taking it and lowering it down to Gomi's level, "Here you go, little man."

Gomi blinked but soon grinned and got himself two handfuls of candy from the dish and put them in his pockets.

Upon seeing that the dish has just about a few candies left in it, the doctor, Sora, and Taishiro sweatdropped. Once Gomi put his candies in his pockets, he looked at the doctor with a smile and said, "Thank you, Chopper-Man!"

Both Sora and Taishiro looked surprised and confused.

"Chopper-Man?" Taishiro muttered in question.

The doctor chuckled, "He called me that when we first met. Apparently, he has a wild imagination, preferring me to this Chopper-man as a reindeer doctor."

"...Oh..." Sora blinked in confusion. Upon remembering the question the doctor asked him, he said, "W-Well, he...I think he doesn't know yet. What he wants to be when he grows up, that is."

Taishiro also thought about what Gomi wanted to be when he grew up, the one thing that he heard when he was with him while Dad was at work...

"...Actually, he said he wanted to be a pirate when he grows up one time," he threw out there.

Sora and the doctor looked at Taishiro, their expression a little surprised, their eyes blinking.

Gomi, upon hearing that, grinned and said, "Yeah! I want to be king of the pirates!"

"...My, that boy has an imagination indeed," the doctor said a little baffled.

"Um..." Sora smiled a little uneasily at Gomi, "Well, that seems...like a pretty big dream there, buddy."

Gomi still grinned and giggled, "I'm going to gather a crew and we'll sail to different places and go on adventures!"

"...Very big imagination, indeed," the doctor couldn't help but smile though, "Well, I was going to suggest something for Gomi since his physical, endurance, and reflexes are on par, like maybe a firefighter or a police officer-"

"Nah, they hunt pirates like me," Gomi shook his head as he made a face.

"...Okay then, well...besides being a pirate, what else do you want to do to help people when you grow up?" the doctor asked the boy.

Gomi blinked at that and thought about it, his thinking face on as he lowered his head, "Hmm...well...I could be a pirate who helps people?" he said to the doctor.

"Man, little Gomi is really stuck on the whole pirate thing," Taishiro muttered, a little worried.

"...Yeah..." Sora agreed, also concerned.

However, the doctor chuckled, "Well, that sounds like a start!"

The boy nodded with a big grin, "Yeah!"

"Um, I wouldn't...try to encourage him on that, doctor," Sora said to him a little nervously.

Chuckling, the doctor told him, "Oh, don't worry, he just has a pretty healthy imagination. It's quite endearing. And he's not affected by the news, so that puts me at ease at least," the doctor, though, gave him a slightly serious look, "Although, since he is Quirkless...just watch over him, okay?"

Sora knows what he meant by that, his expression turning solemn as well, "...My son Taishiro and I will."

The doctor nodded as well, "That's good to hear. As you may already know, people who are Quirkless aren't treated as...equally as Quirked people. I mean, not that I'm saying all Quirked people act that way, just...well, you know how some of these kids can be nowadays..." the doctor lowered his gaze to his desk, "They don't know any better."

Sora hummed and nodded, "I can surely see that..."

Taishiro looked down at his little brother, who wasn't paying attention to the conversation at hand. The young boy got a candy out of his pocket and unwrapped it, throwing the wrapper in the nearby trash, and eating the confection. The teen's heart pulled a bit for his little brother, a frown on his face as Gomi now has to live a life of being different than everyone else. And from how oblivious he is, he won't realize it until it actually happens...

"...No worries, Doctor. As his big brother, I'll surely look after my little bro," Taishiro said to the doctor with a sincere smile.

The doctor also smiled, "I'm certain you and your father will."

Sora looked at his oldest son with a smile. He looked back at Gomi, who was getting out another candy to unwrap and eat.

He couldn't help but think of his wife who birthed these wonderful sons they have...

Aini...I will look after my boys...our boys...don't you worry.

Okay, that's it for a while! And this is just the prologue, okay!? That means I won't update this for a good while. I MEAN IT! I WON'T! Not this time! DX

But yeah, tell me what you all think? Does this have any potential? Leave me a review, a fave, and a follow! :)
