Based off A story from long ago called Little Girl in the Hall by Sundiel260
Sadly that one never really took off but I found it funny and cute. So I thought I would take my own spin at this
That and back in the 2010s I recall many stories about legendary had them all be at the hall of Origins at the same time so I thought I would indulge my nostalgia by keeping that premise.
Besides I really wanted to do a shorter, comedic story. This is only gonna be 3 or 4 chapters unless something changes.
It was just another ordinary day within the Hall of Origin. Well, as much as could be considered 'normal' by the standards of legendary pokemon.
A host of legends were present in the Hall that day, conducting an annual meeting. What Pokemon were present varied greatly, but mostly it was the respective 'guardian 'duos' and trios from each region. Though their roles and circumstances varied, each had a role in maintaining the balance of nature in their homelands.
However, it was a special time for them today. For it was their semi-annual meeting. Every few months, the 'low-ranking' or 'guardian' legendaries, for lack of a better term, would convene to discuss any kind of massive disturbance or threat to the pokemon of said regions, or anything threatening their domains. Such threats varied greatly of course.
Other than that, it was good time for the legendaries to catch up with friends as well.
The hall itself was a large, m structure fit for deities. It was mostly composed of white marble floor and walls, and a ceiling housed by grandiose pillars. The main hall was very spacious, having a large, rectangular stone table in the center with enough space around it to seat a whole host of pokemon of various sizes. To any present, it would be clear Arceus molded its domain up to the highest architectural standards imaginable, or at least what Arceus thought was
Seated on the middle were the members of the Swords of Justice, or Musketeers as some called them. yo then, the legendary beasts of Johto sat. Currently, few others are present at the moment. The most infamous of them, Darkrai, was away from others, secluded in a corner of the room. Mew herself was conversing with said dark Pokémon.
As for the various other legendary Pokémon who could be named off, many were preoccupied with peacekeeping or other task in their domains to be attending this get-together. For this reason, the visitation was extended for a whole week to allow others to come and go as they wished.
By all accounts, it was to be a simple and laid-back time….
Except for one small, unaccounted-for factor. Said factor had actually just arrived in the hall. Why it was none other than the Lunar Pokémon herself, Cresselia.
However, it's not Cresselia that was the unaccounted factor. But rather what she brought with her…
The Lunar Pokémon huffed to herself as age approached the main entrance to the Hall of Origin. It was not the kind of place most pokemon or humans could ever find. It was rather like it's own pocket dimension in a sense. To get here, she traveled the conventional way, aided by her flight and teleportation abilities. Ostientally the Hall was located near Mount Coronate, but to make a long story short it was merely accessed from there. Specifically, through the use of secret runes in the ruins at the top of the mountain, which only entrusted pokemon by Mew or Arceus knew if and could activate. Once done, it opened a 'portal' of sorts to the hall.
Having entered and wandered into the marvel hallways of the Hall of Origin, Cresselia was relieved to be out of the cold. As an immortal legend, she could withstand the cold of Mount Coronet with only some difficulty but she was more concerned fif the the precious cargo age carried on her back.
Using her telekinesis she unwrapped a multitude of heavy blankets from atop her back, allowing the child underneath to crawl out.
"Alright, Meredy: here goes nothing," she said, half to herself. She looked at the child; she had short black hair, blue eyes, white skin, and a simple black dress on, as well as a white cloth diaper underneath. The child was under a year old, about ten months to be precise. Only recently had she begun to walk…
Meredy stared up at the room around her, perplexed by the large white color and space of it all. She smiled and stared up in awe.
Cresselia knew she was about to be bombarded with questions about this child; humans were not normally allowed in the great hall but Cresselia had no choice but to bring her here. It was in shit notice she was asked…
"Right. Here we go." She said, floating into the main hall. As she did, she took a stuffed Teddyursa out from the supply bag tied to her side and gave it to the good for comfort.
The psychic Pokémon came into view of her friends and spoke up.
"Hey all, I finally made it." she proclaimed, announcing her arrival to the hall.
"Hey, Cresslia. Welcome!" Suicune said, looking up from her fellow beasts. She and the others moved to greet the swan-like pokemon.
As she came into view, however so too did the child.
"Hey, how was the trip- huh?" Raikou cut himself off, noting the baby on Crsselia's back.
"Why is a human with you!? " Entei inquired, raising his brow. The rest of the Pokémon present looked in curiosity and confusion from where they each sat stood, it in the case of Darkrai and Mew, floated.
The girl was staring up at everyone in the room, slightly fearful but at the same time curious. She had a pacifier in her mouth and seemed to be holding a plush of a teddirusa. She surveyed the room rather carefully from atop Cresslia's back.
"It's a long story…" Cressilia said. "I… let's say I am babysitting." She said.
Virzion walked up and rolled her eyes. "Clearly. But I mean why? You are a legendary; we each have important duties to uphold. Surely this is a bit , I don't know, below you?" She said.
Cresselia shrugged. "I guess but I'm trying to do a favor for some good friends of mine." She said hesitantly. "They.., it's hard to explain but they were in a hurry. Something important came up. It's… look it's a long state of affairs, ok?" Cresslia tried.
"And no… i guess we mostly don't. I only ever visit them from time to time; it's my first time looking after the child."
Her gaze turned to the human on her back. "I'm sorry to dump this all on you, but I need your help here… if that's alright." She inquired, a boy pleadingly
Virizion, as well as the other Swords of Justice members, looked at her for a moment, each noting the desperation in her eyes.
Finally, each nodded, with Cobalion silly saying. "We trust you have your reasons." He said simply.
Cresselia sighed in relief. She knew the swords, especially Virizion and Cobalion, disliked humans after the war they fought against them so many centuries ago.
As for the beasts, they each seemed less bothered. Each simply shrugged, though Suicune approached Cresselia to talk more.
Suicune, who was nearby, shrugged. "If it's important, I think we all understand. I trust you have your reasons, but… what exactly is your plan here? Taking care of a human child is no easy task, especially not for us pokemon." The water dog said.
While this happened, most of the other pokemon left to converse among themselves and give her Cresselia space.
Cresslia looked down at the large pouch strapped to her side. "Luckily, her parents gave me what I needed: clothes, toys, blankets, milk from a Milktank, and so on. Everything I need," she said confidently.
Suicune raised a brow, as Mew floated close by.
"I don't know anything about pups, or whatever humans call their babies but… that's quite a lot for a single child. You sure you know how to use all that?" she inquired.
Cresslia's conference faded. "Well… sort of. I have not used it all yet"
New leaned in. "What about feeding her? Surely she does not have fully developed teethed yet; do you have enough milk or berries?" She asked.
"For a few days. We have a garden as well; the berries there are good for her. Besides, I can teleport and get more Moo Moo milk from a Milktank farm right?"
Cresslia responded.
Mew raised a brow. "Ok. But what about changing her? Do you know how to do so ?"
"Sort of. I was instructed how to. Had to do so once on the way here. It was a bit difficult but I will probably get better at it.." Cresslia said, a bit less confidently,
"Where will she sleep? Will you be able to monitor her?"
Cresslia frowned. "Uh…. Yeah, this was a bit rushed. But of course, I can watch her. " she insisted. "I.. may need some help at times.
Suicune eyed her. "OK, sure. We'll help you but what about bathing her after a change? I know human babies, well, you know…" she said, a bit sheepishly
"The waterfall area. she answered." She said, her confidence
Suicune sighed and shook her head. "Very well then. Just get situated for now." She said, turning to leave in order to reconvene with the others. Most other pokemon present were turning away, to talk amongst themselves.
Mew meanwhile was floating near the child, making silly faces at her. The girl looked at her curiously, tilting her head. After a moment, the child started giggling, causing the cat-like pokemon to coo at her cute little laugh.
Abruptly, Mew impulsively snatched the child off Cresslia's back and brought her into an embrace, nuzzling her affectionately.
"So cute…" she muttered while doing so.
Cresslia gasped as she felt the child's weight leave her back. Her heart nearly skipped a beat.
"Meredy! What-" she shouted before turning around and noticing Mew was nuzzling her. Cresslia felt her heart calm down and sighed in relief.
"Mew! You can't just take her like that. Nearly gave me a heart attack!" she cried.
Mew playfully rolled her eyes, but nodded.
"Ok sorry. I will ask next time. But I can't help it; sues adorable!" she squealed.
Cresslis smiled. "Uss she is…"
Mew then got an idea. " Why don't I show her around a bit while you get situated? " she suggested.
Cresselia nodded. "Alright, sure. That's perfect actually, I need to talk to Suicune about a few things. Oh but do take this with you." She added, levitating a few toys from the supply bag to Mew.
Mew smiled and eagerly floated off towards her friends nearby, taking a few toys with her for the child as well.
The child was held tightly to Mew's chest as she carried her off towards her friends. Noting the Swords of Justice to be busy, she decided to pay a visit to Raikou and Entei, who were chatting. When she got to them, they both looked at her, Raikou a bit nonchalantly while Entei wore his ever-stoic gaze.
Suicune of course was away at the second.
"Here to introduce the little one I presume?" Asked.
"If that's fine. If she is staying under our care for a bit, might as well get her acquainted." Mew said, setting the child down near them.
She looked up at the fire pokemon curiously. Entei in turned eyes her.
"Yes little one? " he muttered.
The child cautiously poked at him, as if expecting him to do something. Entei just stared perplexed. To his utter bewilderment, she waddled over closer to him and sat down, hugging his fur.
Terrakion, who was observing form nearby, spoke.
"Awww, she likes you." He stated, laughing at Entei's utter confusion about what to do. He tried to hide a blush.
"I… see." He muttered, leaning down. He looked at the child perplexed as if trying to get a read on her.
"What are you doing there?" A voice asked. He turned around to see Virizion approaching.
"Bowing. Trying to show a sign of trust. It's how we in Johto normally greet others." He stated.
The baby merely looked up at him, her blue eyes locked with his in curiosity. She turn simply giggled and attempted to climb onto Entei's head.
"What? Little one, don't-" but he stopped talking as she pulled at his mane trying to get a leverage to climb on.
Entei simply sighed heavily. "Though I suppose she is a bit young to understand the gesture." He said, lifting his head up to help the child balance a bit.
Virizion, Raioku and Mew laughed.
"Quite the little explorer it seems" Mew joked.
"She's lucky she is so cute. I don't think Entei would be so lenient if anyone else did that ." Virizion stated.
Entei huffed in mild irritation as the child played around on his head. Mew moved to grab her and bring her down to the floor.
Meredy giggled as she was sat down, being handed a rattle to distract her for a bit.
As she played, Virzion took note of something about her, and turned her gaze to Mew.
"I was wondering, what's up with those clothes of hers? " She said, pointing out the child's black dress.
Mew raised a brow. "What about them?" She inquired.
Virizion pointed to the small emblem on the shoulder of the dress. It looked a bit like a flame of sorts but was blue in color. "That mean anything to you?"
The psychic cat thought for a bit. "Well… it seems vaguely familiar but I am not aware of any group having such a logo. I guess just ask Cresselia later." She suggested.
Virizion hummed in thought. "Perhaps. Reminds me a bit of a Lucario though… how their powers manifest…" she noted.
Before she could say more, Entei growling slightly took her attention away from that subject. The two females turned their gazes to the fire beasts.
When they saw what was happening, they laughed a bit.
Meredy was chewing on the fur on Entei's body, seemingly unconsciously. Entei looked at her with a mixture of anger and bemusement.
Mew quickly moved to replace the rattle in the child's hand with a ring. Meredy stopped biting his fur and started teething on the ring Mew had brought for her. The cat provided her rattle back into the air around her.
"Thanks. Don't know why she did that…" Entei stated.
"Now what's she doing?" The grass deer asked, perplexed.
Mew laughed. "I think she's teething; it's how babies develop their teeth. Though it seems they don't know much about what to put in their mouths during this phase. " she said
Entei sighed. "All part of learning I guess." He added.
Virizion looked at them perplexed.
"Are pokemin children like this though? When the other Swords and I took in Keldeo, he already had his teeth fully grown by that point." She stated, reflecting on her own parenting experiences. "We've never really had too watch a child this young.
Entei sighed. "I guess she got to avoid one of the more 'fun' parts of parenting. Suicune tells me other pups she's helped with have bitten their parent's tails by accident while in their teething phase." He said.
Virzion smiled sheepishly and chuckled a bit. "I see then." She said simply.
Meredy meanwhile has decided she was done teething for the moment. She had gotten up and decided to walk over to Raikou, who was close tiger-like Pokémon, who had simply been observing this whole time, looked at her in curiously. The toddler, after looking nervously at Raikou for a moment, proceeded to hug the leg of the tiger-like Pokémon.
The tiger smiled and laughed. "Oh, she's so cute. I could just eat her up." He said, wrapping a paw around her to keep her from moving away. The child smiled and hugged his massive paw.
The other Pokemon within earshot stopped and looked at him nervously. Raikou gave a frustrated sigh.
"It's just an expression." He said. The others look at him, still untrusting.
He rolled his eyes. "Oh so this is about those totally fake myths about me, isn't it? Well, I'll have you know they are totally untrue… " he said, still being met with the stern gazes. Especially from Entei. Other legendaries had approached by this point, curious
"Ok, mostly true. Sure, I did eat that one guy a few decades back in Johto…" the Raikou admitted. "But he its not my fault; he was evil and kept harming people and Pokémon all over the place. I had to do something." he rationalized.
The gazes grew more anxious as they looked at the child in worry. Mew in particular looked like she was about to blow a gasket. Cobalion glared at the tiger-creature.
Raikou smirked mischievously.
"Come now, you know I would never eat this little morsel- eh, cute little thing." He said mischievously, affectionately nuzzling the child, who hugged his massive paw.
At this, Cobalion finally spoke.
"I may not be the biggest fan of humans, Raikou, but I will not let you devour an innocent, especially not an infant entrusted to the care of a good friend." He said, sternly.
Raikou laughed it off. "Calm down, I am just yanking your chains. You know I would never do that to an innocent girl." he said, nuzzling her again. "She is far to adorable for me to even think of that. Besides, you forget I am immortal; I don't even need to eat." He stated
Mew sighed heavily.
"You should know better than to joke about that. she said sternly. "Cresselia may panic." She added dryly.
Raikou sighed. "Okay okay." He said, letting the child sit in his front paws out to stand up. She started playing again
By this point Crsselia was floating back over towards the others, finishing up her talk with Suicune.
"I appreciate you helping me with this, Suicune." Cresselia said to Suicune as they walked over to rejoin the others.
"Of course. " she stated.
They approached the other Pokémon watching Meredy for them. Once there, Raikou looked up from the child, who stood up to play chase with Mew.
"You two good?" He inquired.
Cresselia nodded.
"Suicune helped me sort out a few things I needed to. Like sleeping arrangements and whatnot. As well as checking through if I had everything I need."
Suicune nodded. "In short, I agreed to help watch her. And bathe her as needed. Cresselia explained her situation to me." She said.
Raikou nod. "Very well then. Honestly, the kids are cute. I'll help watch her too if ya need." He added.
Cresslia smiled.
"Thank you. It should be pretty easy, all things considered. I mean, after all, how much trouble can one baby be?" She asked out loud.
As if on cue, Meredy started crying nearby. The Pokémon watching her looked up in confusion and bewilderment, mon really sure what to do
"Why is she crying?" Entei spoke up, before sniffing the air. He and others recipes at the smell.
"Repugnant. What is that smell anyways?" Entei inquired, sniffing the air. He then looked down at the toddler and tried not to gag. He gestured toward her with his head.
The legendaries looked at the toddler and noted her diaper was sagging under her black dress. Everyone collectively groaned.
"Eww, humans can be disgusting," Virizion growled. "Most of us don't even have to do… that," she said, rather repulsed at the child.
Everyone looked to Mew, who paled.
"What are you looking at me for?" She said nervously."I didn't bring her." She noted. "I'm not changing her." She said nervously. "Why don't any of you?" she responded.
The quadrant Pokemon present seemed collectively
"None of us can. Literally; We don't even have hands!" Virizion said back. "
Mew paled. "Oh… right." She said, sheepishly, Yhrj a thought struck her:
"Well, it's best for her caretaker to do then, anyways." She said, eyeing Cresslia. Cresselia took the hint.
The lunar swan looked at the child anxiously, as her friends shot her a look that said" good luck".
Taking a look at the crying child she sighed. "Come here, little one." She said, floating down and picking her up with her front paws. "Bath time," She added
"Need my help to wash her?" Suicune asked. Cresslia shook her head no.
"I've got this."
She floated away towards the pond area in another part of the Hall.
"Ok, I did this before, right? Surely it gets easier?" She thought, a bit confidently. Surely should could handle this? She had only been given the baby earlier today, right before after visiting her friends on the way over to the Hall of Origin. She had to change her once on the way over. It was challenging but now that she knew the drill… surely it will be simple?
It was not. At all.
"Ew ew ew we ew." Cresslis cringed to herself, pretty much the whole time.
Meredy would not stop moving around at all as the lunar swan bathed her in a shallow part of the river. Cleaning her was not fun, nor easy; a fact not helped by her constant squirming. Even with telekinesis, the child squirming around was hard to deal with . It took too much concentration to try to hold her down and wash her. Finally, after finishing washing the child, Cresslia had wrapped her in a fresh cloth diaper and gave her a new dress a blue one, before finally finishing her bath. by the river. She was leaving her other dress nearby to dry off on a rock, as it had been washed in the stream.
She sighed in frustration as the child giggled.
"Do Pokemon parents have it this hard? Or are humans just that difficult?" she wondered. Not like she would know.
Sighing, Cresslia levitated the child back onto her back. Meredy giggled playfully.
"Oh haha, it's very funny." Cresselia, muttered, half amused at the child. "You didn't have to clean up after yourself…" she replied.
The child giggled and started playing with the swan's back feathers, riffling them.
Giving a defeated sigh, the swan levitated her pacifier out of the supply bag and gave it to the child, who grew distracted from it.
Cresselia began floating back to the main hall, tired and weary.
By the time Cresselia came back into the room, it was nearly an hour later. She must have looked visibly exhausted; she had bags under her eyes from stress and her feathers were a mess. Meanwhile, the baby on her back, sucking on a pacifier, seemingly acted as if she had not just driven the lunar swan up a metaphorical tree.
"Glad that's over with." She muttered as she floated back over to the other pokemon. Upon arriving back, her friends looked at her.
Raikou noted her look. "Have fun?" He jested.
She shot them an unamused.
Rainout chuckled I will take that as a no. "He said."
Cresslia sat next to Virizion, who was eyeing her friend and the child.
The child was let off Cresselia and onto the table, which was massive enough for her to play around on without fear of falling. Cresselia wanted her at eye level to better watch over her. The psychic type levitated a few toys out of the supply back for the child to play with. In this case, her stuffed teddiursa and toy car.
Virizion meanwhile sat near her friend.
"Quite the paw-full, isn't she?" The grass deer asked
Cresselia sighed heavily.
"Yeah…" she said, in an exhausted tone.
Looking at the baby play on the table, Virizion could not help but ponder something. She stared in at her for a moment before looking back to her friend.
"I'll admit. For a human, she's pretty dang adorable." She confessed, to Cresselia's surprise.
"I will say; I'm as surprised as you are that I'm saying that. As you know… I've never really been a fan of humans." She said, a bit sternly. "But… I think I'll make an exception for this one." She said.
Cresselia raised a brow( assuming she has one)
"Yeah… umm, I was wanting to say I'm sorry for dumping this on you and everyone. I know you and the other sword's histories with humans are… not good." She said, trying to watch her words.
The grass dear sighed and leaned in closer towards the table. sighed. "The Unova war was a long time ago. Can't say the species got much better since then but they've not been all bad. But that leads me to my point I guess. "She stated, turning her head towards Cresselia. "Why did-"
But she interrupted as Meredy suddenly reached up towards the deer, standing from atop the table.
The child smiled at the deer-like pokemon. Virizion uncharacteristically blushed, eliciting a laugh from the legendaries watching her. From nearby
"Ummm, that's… nice… little one." She stammered nervously.
Cresslia chuckled. " I think she likes you. Her parents said she is always doing this: hugging those she senses mean well." Cresselia added.
Cirizuon found the word 'senses' a bit suspect.
All the more reason to ask. As the child let go, her belly growled.
"Seems, someone's hungry." Virizion noted.
Cresselia smiled. She levitated a milk bottle out from the cooler pocket of her satchel and telekinetically lifted the child into her front paws. Meredy took the bottle and drank vicariously. While she did this, Virizion turned to Cresselia.
"As I was wanting to ask before though: why did they not seek a human caretaker? Not that I doubt your abilities but It's a perplexing course of action; we pojemon live very differently to humans. Especially guardians like us, or 'legends', as humans refer to us.. " Virizion said. "Some of us don't even need to eat or drink water. Neither do you." Sge noted.
Cresselia nodded. She could see Virizion's points: a legendary Pokémon like Cresselia was effectively a diety. Excluding groups like the Sword of Justice and certain others. Cresselia and her fellow legendaries lacked the need to eat, drink, or even rest in some cases. Some legends did not even understand these as a necessity to others, although sleep relieves stress and eases their minds all the same; and this was utilized. Furthermore, many Pokémon lacked arms and clearly could not attend to a human child's needs, like feeding or changing. The lunar swan at least had the benefit of telepathy and telekinesis to get around that.
"I'll admit, I questioned it myself but never really bothered asking. Even knowing their circumstances, I still wondered about it…" Cresselia muttered.
"Humans don't always make the best decisions I guess. I mean, they let ten years olds wander countries alone." Virizion pointed out.
"I think that's not as common as you think. Most trainers I heard of are nearing adulthood or are in their later teens at least before doing that. Besides, they have their Pokémon looking out for them. And aren't most of their gym runs a supervised event anyways? That's what I was told. Besides, trainers just go home afterward mostly." Cresslia pointed pointed out.
Virizion soghed. "Fair point but… we are getting off topic. Why is it the parents left their child in the hands of a Pokémon? I mean I know what you said earlier but still. None of us are really cut out for this. Is there something more to it?" She pressed.
As the child drank the milk furiously, Cresslia sighed.
"I think I owe you all a better explanation, after all this chaos with her." She said, a bit weary. "You see, her parents are not normal humans; they are Aura Guardians," Cresslia explained.
The others present gasped in surprise.
"Aura? You mean like what the Lucario species and a few others use?" Virizion inquired.
Cresslia nodded to her.
In particular, the other swords of justice present were shocked. Especially Virzion.
" That's a rare power, Cresselia. For a human to wield it, why is it quite the gift. Most who have it are very in tune with Pokémon."
Cresselia nodded. "I am well aware. And I sense something even more special in her."
This caught a few raised brows. Everyone's attention was piqued.
"They live in seclusion from most of human society. In the wilderness of Sinnoh. They have a training ground for Aura Guardians, near some ruins in the northern part of the region, in the mountains. A bit of a wars from Snowpoint." She stated.
Raikou raised a brow. "Ok, I get that Aura Guardians like them typically play hero and need their training, but why live so far out of the way of society? And why leave a daughter with a pokemon instead of another human? Few Pokémon can meet a toddler's needs in the way they require. We just live too differently." He pointed out.
Cresselia nodded. "They have few friends, they said. The few they did were out of reach. They… they had some kind of important task going on. Something about fighting one of those evil teams running around. They didn't want their daughter to be in harm's way so they sent her with me for thr time being." She explained. "I still believe they should have made more of an effort abd sought out a human caretaker but I wanted to help them how I could. Maybe it was just not something they had experience with…" Cresselia mused.
"But why live so far away from others? Surely training can be done closer to other humans right?" Raikou inquired
The lunar swan though gif a moment. "They told me once they were worried about their reputation catching up to them. I guess they have been marked by the likes of Team Galactic or Plasma. Perhaps it's easier to evade detection out in the wilderness." She stated. "However, ever since their daughter was born, her parents considered moving… but that's all I know." Cresselia stated.
"What of their mission? Did they need help?" Cobalion inquired.
Cresselia sighed. "They would not say what exactly was going on. They insisted they could deal with it. They did not tell me more; just to keep their daughter safe." She replied
"Very well then." Cobalion "But what did you mean you sensed something even more special in the child?" He inquired.
"It's difficult to explain psychic prowess but… she seems good at reading emotions. It's why she's so calm around everyone. Her parents specifically asked me to guide her abilities." She noted. "That's another reason why they trusted her with me."
The explanation seemed to satisfy everyone for the moment, as no one said anything else.
A resounding burp from the toddler alerted her caretaker; telling everyone she was done with the bottle. Cresselia sighed and removed the bottle from the child. The swan noted, however, that Meredy had spilled the milk on her dress.
"Sweetie, you made a mess…" Cresselia said softly.
The child however did not seem to care. She yawned and her eyes started shutting. Cresselia gently levitated her onto her back, then turned to her friends.
"I'm gonna clock out early. The little one needs rest anyways." Cresslia said, looking at the groggy child on her back. The girl was nearly asleep by this point.
The psychic cat smiled. "In that case, I have a little something to show you," she said, gesturing gif Cssswkia to follow.
Cresselia bid everyone fair well and followed the pink cat Pokémon out of the main hall and into a bed chamber, which was a simple marvel white room like much of the rest of the hall.
Cresselia smiled in delight at what she saw: the room had been arranged to accommodate a baby.
What first got her attention was the fact Mew had covered the floor in a soft blue carpet, composed of Wooloo or Mareep wool. In the back wall of the makeshift crib had been prepared for the child, composed of a few wood 'fences' wielded to a Bolton made of a smooth marcel slab. Of course, several layers of soft wool favorite had been placed over it, composing a makeshift mattress. Nearby, on the floor, were some wool blankets
Likewise, a bundle of soft fabrics had been made into a 'nest' for Cresselia to lay on.
Cresselia guessed the crib was built from a combination of Mew using her transformation abilities to turn into Pokémon who could 'bend' the respective woods and stone slab materials used and gather stuff from around the Hall.
"I thought it might help. I took the liberty of building all this while you bathed the little one." Mew stated.
The lunar Pokémon turned to Mew.
"I love it! Thank you so much. It's so thoughtful of you." She said. Mew simply smiled.
"Good. I was hoping to help" she said.
Floating towards the door, she turned one more time. "Tell me if you need anything." Mew stated.
Cresselia nodded and started setting the supply bag down. Cresselia then used her powers to lift the child off her back and laid the child down in the makeshift crib. Using her psychic powers, she lifted one of the blankets she brought, a blue one, out of the bag and onto the child, as well as giving her a stuffed bear Pokémon. The child grabbed it unconsciously and hugged it.
"Good night, little one," she said, as she saw the child lay down in the crib.
The exhausted legendary passed out on a sleep cot soon after. She hoped the next few days would go easier than this one did.
Yes, in hindsight all the legendaries being in one place does not make much sense but oh well. It's a comedy story.
