Synopsis of my Failed The Suffering/RWBY Crossover Story
Hello, this has been rolling around in my head for the past month and I finally decided to write it down. If someone who can come up with a better story wants to use this as an outline, I say go for it!
For the outline of this story, it was to take place after the second game, using the Good Ending as the foundation. I most likely wasn't going to use Blackmore as a character or than the Evil Voice in Torque's head just like the two games while Carmen would continue to be the Good Voice.
The story would've began with Torque waking up in the rubble from his final battle and having to find his way out of the remains of Baltimore. Which is still basically in the throes of whatever the Cataclysm is-Which is basically Hell on Earth for those of you who've never played the games (Why not? By the by. The Suffering is terrifying and awesome with three separate ending and the sequel, while not nearly as good - although, the on rails segment is always good - has Five endings!)
The first of the RWBY cast he would come across was going to be Jaune. Jaune would give him a knife and some pain killers as a reference to him using a blade only and being the team healer. Then he would direct him to another of Baltimore's prison where his "friend", or friend, Ruby was a CO.
Then he'd leave Torque as a side character as he made to attempt to repair a bust vehicle.
The next person Torque would come across would be Blake, who would fill the role of a gang member. She'd be untrustworthy of him at first. Typical of Blake. But after he helped her save some people in a burning neighborhood she lighten up to him and direct him further on.
And that's where he would be found by Yang and Tai after crashing through the floors of a destitute building. After being treated by Tai, Yang and him would go take her motorcycle to the prison in an attempt to find Ruby.
Yang would pass him a shotgun, double barrel, obviously, before they split up to find her sister in the labyrinth prison where Torque may or may not then have to fight Team CDRL as a group of prisoners. Right now, I would say probably not, but at the time, it would've been a yes.
Torque would eventually find Ruby, or more likely be saved by her as she shoots some kind of Malefactor - That's the enemies in the series - that has Torque trapped in some way. Of course, she'd be using a sniper rifle as she then guides him from the upper platforms of the outer walkways where she's been trapped all this time.
After helping her out, and reuniting with Yang again, Torque has to go his own way once more as the three get separated by debris. His final companion that he finds would be either Weiss or, maybe, Pyrrha, as he wanders through an abandoned hospital. Probably Weiss as Pyrrha's a bit too bad-ass for a companion. Enemy boss, though…
Which is where we talk about the antagonists.
You noticed that I've said nothing about the Grimm. That's because they wouldn't appear in this. I don't really know how I would add them too this. All Malefactors are some variant of a type of execution in the first game and ways people have died in the past in Baltimore in the sequel (I think. They never really specify that in the second game, though they do mention it with most entries in the Bestiary) so I couldn't really think of what they represent beside fear itself (Maybe the Red Scare? Hm.)
As for Boss enemies, Tyrian for sure as he works as a crazed attacker constantly stalking someone like Ruby. He is a serial killer and was captured. Watts might've worked as some kind of intellectual foe, but I only ever really had Tyrian down for sure. Hazel was never in the discussion nor were Mercury or Emerald, although the two of them would work alongside Adam as an early antagonist against Blake, now that I think about it.
Couldn't think of something for Cinder other than filling a similar role to Jordan from the second game. Or, again, now that I think about it, perhaps a former lover and bad influence from when Carmen first left him.
Salem could work as a special Malefactor seeing as she's literally named after the Salem Witch Trials and Salem is very near to Baltimore. But that was as far as I got with her.
The story would end with everybody basically getting out of the city finally - because Torque did not escape the city by the end of the second game. Torque would go his separate way as everyone else would take the vehicle Jaune fixed up and flee as the remains of Baltimore continued to burn behind them.
And, that's it. I left out some plot points and forgot some others. But, yeah. That's the basis for the story. Probably would've last anywhere between 20 to 25 chapters, maybe more.
