The Date of Fighters
Danny had returned home, thinking about his time with Vanessa.
With a deep breath, he smiled at what he went through.
Vanessa… He thought, thinking of the cool girl he went on a date with today.
He scored her an 8 out of 10, thinking she was wonderful and he had a great time with her.
He then noticed he got a text from Tucker.
"Let's see what he's up to…" He said upon reading it.
Had an okay date with a girl named Stacy. Nice girl, but it was a double date with her friend, Candace. Kind of a handful who obsessed over her little brothers potentially causing trouble. Never saw anything… She was crazy obsessive and Stacy just went along with her. Also I think she was a weregiraffe or something cause her neck was huge. Anyway, getting pizza to celebrate a not terrible date… even if she's a 7. It read.
Are weregiraffes a thing? Danny asked in his head before shrugging.
After everything he'd seen since getting his powers, he wouldn't be surprised if they were.
With that done, Danny looked at the next date.
"And the next girl to meet me is…" He says as he reads.

Huh… interesting. Danny thought, noticing the name of where she lives was not filled in.
He also noticed the location of where the date would be.
"South Town? Isn't that in Florida?" He asks himself, scratching the side of his head.
He once again questioned the fact that he'd have to go to a place he could only go to with his powers before noticing the time.
If he was to make it on time, he'd have to get some sleep now. However, he recalled how far a distance it was, so he had to make a stop at the flower shop now if he was to make it on time, as he would meet her in Eastern time, before the shop opened.
A knock at the door.
"It's open!" NeoMark said.
In came 61394.
"Are you guys still watching Danny go through the dating service again?" 61394 asks.
"No, we're watching Monkie Kid." Deadpool snarks.
"This version of you is especially snarky." 61394 said, ignoring the merc with a mouth's comment before looking at his coworker.
"Ignore him… I watch Monkie Kid without him." NeoMark answered.
"Gonna take that as a yes. So, did I set my timer right? Is it time for Kitty's replacement?" 61394 asks. holding up a watch
''Yeah you're right on time" Neo answered.
''Great." 61394 said smiling, grabbing some Mike and Ikes.
"I guess it's guest star time, huh?" NeoMark asks.
"So, what Marvel character is it gonna be?" 61394 asks.
"Who said it's a Marvel character? I'm replacing the comic characters not based on specific versions of them with video game characters." NeoMark said.
"I like video games and I've played a lot of video games, but I'm not an expert and I'm probably not going to recognize whatever girl Danny's going to go out with this time around." 61394 said
''You don't recognize most people anyways." Deadpool snarked.
Again, 61394 ignored him
"Well... may as well see who it is." 61394 said upon sitting down.
Morning
Waking up bright and early, Danny made his way to make sure he met this "Ice Doll" at 10 AM Eastern, which meant getting up and leaving as soon as he could. He only had a hardboiled egg and a banana for breakfast, evident by his stomach growling.
"This Ice Doll girl better be pretty enough to justify me seeing omelets and pancakes in these clouds…" He muttered before noticing something on the ground.
On the sands of the beach below him was a large sheet of ice, something that caught him off guard as it was summer.
However, he noticed someone skating on it.
Although he was a block away from where he'd meet this girl, he had to get a closer look. Landing, he walked closer to the ice, and the person on it.
"Excu-" He stopped upon seeing who it was
Upon it was a cute girl about his age, with long hair that was as blue as ice, magenta eyes that seemed to be shining, smooth skin as white as snow, wearing what seemed like a purple disco outfit and gold gloves that looked like robot hands. She appeared to be of Asian descent, potentially Japanese, more than likely Eurasian.
Although his face turned red, Danny shook his face to ignore how pretty she looked.
"So.. uh… what's up with this?" He asks, getting her attention.
The girl with blue hair stared at him as her face was red before shaking her head and glaring at him.
"Oh, one of NESTS' new weapons, huh?!" She asks.
"... who?" Danny asks. "Is that nest as in bird or wasp? That just made me more confused."
"Don't lie!" She said as her hands emit a mist. "You're not taking me down!"
Danny's eyes widened as a giant ice ball formed in front of her before hurling it at Danny, who quickly dodged by swerving to the right. He then saw the girl sliding towards him to get close quickly before she stood up and did a spinning air kick, which Danny dodged. The girl quickly followed with a low kick and sweep kick, but Danny just flew to dodge those kicks.
Though surprised, the girl quickly jumped in the air and aimed both hands at him, creating a giant ice spike. Danny quickly countered by firing a ghost ray that blasted the ice into small shards. Distracted by the shards that hit her face, the girl didn't see Danny rushing towards her before tackling her with his shoulder that sent her back to the ground, but she just skated on the ice to avoid crashing.
She then pulled her right eye-lid down before sticking her tongue out in a childish manner.
Danny rushed towards her and started throwing punches with glowing fists, which she blocked with an ice shield. She saw her shield slowly cracking, so she retaliated by sending a wave of ice that blasted Danny a few feet away, a cut on his shirt from the ice.
The girl created another big ice ball and was about to throw it at Danny, before there was an alarm, causing the two to pause as the girl looked at her wrist, showing a timer.
"Oops, almost forgot, I got somewhere to be." she said as she dropped the giant ice ball. With that, the girl skated off the ice before jumping several feet in the air and over the sand before landing gracefully.
"Whoa…" Danny went.
With that, she bowed gracefully while winking at Danny.
"If you don't mind, there's someone I need to be with right now." She said as she ran away into the alley.
Danny's face was red before recalling what happened.
"I better find her…" He then recalled the time. "Although… I should probably set a good example for my date…"
Realizing he's already 10 minutes late, Danny flew until he spotted a spot close to where he was meeting his date. Seeing no one around, he hid behind a trash can and morphed. With a sigh of relief, he stepped out and headed towards the café he was to meet her at.
Little did he know, someone saw him enter that little dead end as Phantom and step out as Fenton.
Someone he didn't expect.
"Hope she makes it." He said to himself.
It was then she approached him.
"Hello!" She said with a cutesy tone in her voice.
Danny saw her. She was a strawberry blonde with blue eyes, wearing a blue skirt with matching blue vest, a pink, long-sleeved shirt, blue fingerless gloves, pink stockings, and black Mary Jane shoes, along with a duffel bag, just like his. She also appeared to be of Eurasian descent, possibly Japanese.
Danny smiled at her.
"Lemme guess, Ice Doll?"
"I'm Kula, Kula Diamond. And you're D-Fenton?" She asks with a cute smile.
"It's Danny, Danny Fenton… and these are for you." Danny said, taking the flowers out and handing them to her.
"Ooh!" She went, admiring them. "Off to a good start!"
"Thanks." Danny said, finding her reaction adorable.
It's like if she has a tail, it'll be wagging, like a cute puppy… He thought.
"Come on! Let's go to Dream Amusement Park! It's been rebuilt from the ground up so we gotta try it!" Kula said, taking his arm.
Danny was a bit surprised by the cool feel of her hands as it was summer, but still went along.
Still, he looked at this girl's face and, despite her being very pretty, he felt something odd.
She seems new, right? Where have I seen her before? He asked, finding something about her familiar.
"Oh… it's… who is this?" Deadpool asks.
"Yeah, I don't know who this is either." 61394 admitted
"Kula Diamond, a prominent character from King of Fighters, SNK's crossover fighting game. Specifically, she came out during the NESTS saga, where she was a boss and big rival to the big hero of that saga, K'." NeoMark said.
"K… apostrophe?" 61394 asks, reading what was typed.
"It's actually pronounced "K Dash", don't ask me why it's spelled like that." Neo said.
"Oh… and, the reason you picked her over Kitty Pryde? A character who has one of the longest running spin-off stories and a popular Marvel character over all?" Deadpool questioned.
"Well, as I said before, I'm replacing all the comic origin characters who aren't specific versions with video game characters. My reasoning for that is that video game characters didn't exist in the original as actual in-universe characters, and they're from an animated medium. Then there's their powers; Kitty could go through walls, Kula has ice powers. Kula is also much more childish though. They're both also among the younger characters of their group, Kitty was one of the youngest members of the X-Men, Kula is one of the youngest original characters from King of Fighters, along with members of NESTS."
"I get it. Though I had the opposite reaction. See, back in 2020 when I started Danny and Kitty, there'd only been one real appearance of Kitty or the X-Men in Danny and Kitty, so with those few details I decided to make my own version, combining stuff from the comics, the shows and the movies with what little lore FP had at the time. Rogue being Kitty's roommate, Scott and Jean being married, Katie going to the institute, stuff like that." 61394 explained "I saw it as a fun challenge like combining the Many Dates of Danny Fenton storyline with the Owl House in Danny and Luz to see if people would like it."
"And yet you forgot Firestar." Deadpool commented
"I'm not perfect Wade, never pretended to be." 61394 answered
"So, can I ask a question?" Deadpool asked turning to NeoMark
"Shoot." Neo said.
"Why are you against putting composite characters in this story over the original? I mean, I don't mind, but I figure some readers have something against that. The winner was one of those characters, after all." Deadpool said.
"Well, I don't hate them, it's just that when you have a crossover of multiple pre-existing characters, making up a version of like a few seems… kind of wrong in my mind. There's always a specific version of a character people like, so much so that I would rather pick a version than make one up."
"Really?" 61394 asks.
"A bit of a spoiler, but I am planning to make another multi-series crossover in 2024, as this chapter was posted in 2023. If I say Kim Possible is in there, you know who I'm talking about. If I say Ben Tennyson is in there, you'll probably think of the original continuity as that Ben has 4 shows to his name, whereas reboot Ben has one. If I say Starfire is in there, you're gonna think I'll use the original animated series, as that was her first major appearance outside of comics, and most depictions of her in animation are based on that series, right down to using the same voice actress. If I say Optimus Prime is in it, well… Do I mean… this guy?" Shows a picture of G1 Optimus from 1984. "...this guy?" Shows a picture of Optimus Prime from the Robots in Disguise anime. "...this guy?" Shows a picture of Optimus Prime from Transformers Armada. "...this guy?" Shows a picture of Optimus Prime from Transformers Animated. "...this guy?" Shows a picture of Optimus Prime from Transformers Cyberverse. "... maybe even this guy?" Shows a picture of Optimus Prime from Earthspark. "And that's just the televised cartoons that don't reuse the same voice actor, there's also Prime and the Netflix War for Cybertron series. Am I even going with an already existing one or am I gonna merge all of them into one that pretty much is a distillation of the character? No, I'd rather pick a specific version."
"Again, fair. There's always certain versions of long running characters you always end up imagining." 61394 added. "For example, when I imagine Kara interacting with Danny, my brain imagines the DCAU version in appearance and voice but with FPs details about her age and stuff."
"Yup." NeoMark said.
"With the characters I picked, there's either one version of the character or, in the case of Kitty, who's had multiple versions in comics animation and live action, there's not a lot of deviation in her looks or personality. So it was easy to create my own version for this franchise" 61394 explained.
"I see."
"I get Neo's point of view where interpretations of characters can WILDLY DEVIATE from each other. Like, say for example, Barbara Gordon. The only version of the character who is both young enough and fits in with Neo's rules would be the version from The Batman. The show, not the Robert Pattinson movie. But that doesn't work since 'The Batman' is wildly different from other DC shows. Especially Teen Titans, whose Robin never brings up Bruce outside of a comment to Slade and a flashback to the Flying Graysons death." 61394 said. The Batman's Robin was nowhere near as secretive with his identity."
"You're a lot more wordy in this chapter, number boy." Deadpool commented. "You know, this isn't one of your author's notes, where you can say whatever you want. People want to get to the author who you don't like and their version of the original story."
61394 rolled his eyes.
"Making comparisons between my work and Neo's doesn't mean I don't like him. Neo's a nice guy and even then, the only story I didn't like was Danny and Gwen. No offense."
Neo shrugged.
"None taken, Dude. That one's not even finished yet. And, as much as I don't want to admit it, Wade's right."
"I always am." Deadpool commented. "You so called 'matchmakers' just haven't realized it yet."
"We've kept talking. This dialogue has gone on for a while. Let's see what's going on with Danny." Neo finished, ignoring Wade's comment.
61394 nodded curiously to see how Danny would interact with a girl who he wasn't familiar with.
At the Dream Amusement Park
Danny walked alongside Kula, the entire time glancing at her as she stared at the area as if she were at age 5, with a big smile and a cheerful giggle.
"I'm gonna go on every ride I can!" She insisted.
Danny smiled at this.
"Have you been here before?" Danny asks.
"Once or twice during our stay here." Kula admitted.
"Really? You don't live here?" Danny asks.
"No and Uncle Max asked me not to say." Kula said, not looking at him and sounding somewhat vague.
"Oh… uh… okay." Danny said.
Kula seemed to have recognized her tone and sent him a sweet smile.
"Sorr-ee! I promised!" Kula went.
"It's fine." Danny said.
"So… what should we do next?!" Kula went excitedly, fists balled up near her face.
Wow… she really is acting a lot younger than she looks… Danny thought, wondering if she's just more excited than she normally is.
"Well… what do you feel like first?" Danny asks.
Before Kula could say it, she spotted something from afar that brought a smile to her face.
"ICE CREAM!" She squealed happily.
Danny's eyes widened in surprise.
10 minutes later
Kula waved happily to the vendor as she and Danny left.
Danny had a simple scoop of rocky road, whereas Kula herself had a cone of at least 3 flavors as she happily licked it.
"Wow… I'm guessing that's your favorite food, huh?" Danny asks with a small smile.
"Yup! That and lollipops! And chocolate! And gummies! And strawberry sorbet! And candy apples! And…" Kula then noticed the amused look on Danny's face and calmed down. "I like sweets…"
"Would've never guessed…" Danny snarked playfully.
"Heh… first thing to know about me." Kula said.
"Well… anything else I should know?" Danny asks.
Kula then looked at Danny in a puzzled manner.
"Well, what do you wanna know?" Kula asks, sounding almost unsure of what to say.
Danny said nothing, but noticed her change in tone.
"Well… do you go to school or anything?" Danny asks.
"No. I'm… let's just say home schooled." Kula said, eyes darting away.
"Oh… okay. So… who do you live with? A mom and dad? Any sibl-"
"OH LOOK!" Kula went, pointing away, causing Danny to look that way. "Let's walk this way! I see a small bunch of people over there!" Kula went with an awkward smile as she kept walking, liking her ice cream so much that it covered her mouth.
Danny raised an eyebrow, wondering if he had said something to upset her.
Meanwhile, outside the amusement park.
One man stood outside the entrance, scowling in the direction of the amusement park.
"I cannot believe she's here. That little idiot." He muttered as he leaned onto a nearby street light. "She'll have to come out eventually… and when she does, she's dead meat." He muttered.
He remained there, ignoring passersby looking uncomfortable with him having that terrifying scowl on his face and narrowed eyes hidden behind both sunglasses and pale white bangs of hair.
"Okay, who's this Dante from Devil May Cry looking edgelord?" Deadpool asks in annoyance.
"Beats me." 61394 said.
"Seriously? Deadpool. How can you not know who that is? I mean… I could understand 61394 since we have different tastes in games, but Wade! You've never played any of the CVS games?"
"The pharmacy? Why would they make a game?" 61394 asks
"No, not the pharmacy! Capcom vs SNK! Or SVC, SNK vs Capcom?"
Both Deadpool and 61394 stared at him blankly.
"The only Capcom games that I know are Capcom I've seen are MegaMan and Marvel vs Capcom." 61394 said. "And I've only played MegaMan."
"Yeah, doesn't ring a bell. And you're the one writing my dialogue." Deadpool said.
"Come on! You were in the Marvel vs Capcom games! This was the other big crossover fighter they did!" NeoMark pointed out.
"Just cause I was in one Vs installment by Capcom doesn't mean I know all of them." Deadpool said.
"Are either of you even familiar at all with SNK?" NeoMark asks.
"No." The two said in unison.
"Should we be?" 61394 asks.
"You guys know who Terry Bogard is, right?" NeoMark asks.
"Sure, he was a character in Smash Bros and fought Ken in death battle." 61394 said.
"He's SNK's mascot! The star of their most well known series outside of KOF, Fatal Fury! Which is getting a new game after so long! He even made it into Smash Bros as the current sole SNK character!" NeoMark said.
"Dude, just because we know who Terry is, doesn't mean we know anything on SNK." Deadpool commented.
NeoMark groaned loudly as he banged his head on the desk.
"This is almost as infuriating as my friend not knowing who Michael Myers is and thought I was talking about the actor Mike Myers."
"WHAT?!" Deadpool asks as he holds his twin swords up in a murderous manner. "Show me this friend! I'll do violent things to him that are better left to the imagination!" He declared.
61394 grabs Wade's swords, tossing them away.
"No hurting someone because they don't know who a character is!" He chided
NeoMark glowered at this.
"I see that pot wants to meet the kettle…" He grumbled.
"So… why don't we just watch and try to avoid raising Neo's blood pressure?" 61394 asks, hoping to avoid any more trouble.
At the theme park
Danny walked with Kula to the small crowd she spoke of.
There, they witness a few Western themed jugglers performing for the crowd.
Kula was among them cheering, clapping happily like the smaller children were. Danny was among them.
Huh… okay… I don't think this is a rarity… He thought, realizing her childish excitement must be her usual behavior.
It wasn't annoying or something that made him want to call off the date early like with Cree or Star. It was just there.
"So cooollll!" Kula went in a childish manner, seeing their performance with glee.
Danny raised an eyebrow and would have said something before he felt something hit his leg, causing him to lose his footing.
"W-Whoa!" He went, managing to find his footing once more.
Kula hadn't noticed yet, being entertained by what she saw.
As Danny turned his head to see who did that, he found himself looking at a man's chest.
"Are you okay?" The person that chest belonged to asked.
Looking up, Danny was slightly caught off guard by how muscular this man was. He looked as buff as Batman and while Danny wasn't a martial artist, as his past blind date Sakura pointed out, he knew enough about fighting to judge by this guy's posture he wasn't just a dumb meathead like Dash. He knew how to fight.
The guy dressed in a red jacket with the sleeves torn off over a white shirt jeans and a baseball hat.
"Are you okay?" He repeated politely
"Y-Yeah… no problem." Danny said, slightly nervous around this guy.
Maybe it was because nearly every date he got attacked during or in the case of Melissa and that Murphy's law chaos.
There was just something about this guy that screamed dangerous to Danny's instincts and he was going to listen
Kula turned her head slightly, seeing who Danny was speaking to and gasping.
"Terry Bogard?" She asks.
"That's me. I'm guessing you saw me in the most recent tournament." He said proudly and with an energetic tone.
Kula was somewhat surprised with how he was speaking before it hit her. With a nervous laugh, she pulled back.
"He doesn't recognize me… then again, he and I barely saw each other." She said under her breath.
It was then Danny recalled something hit his leg and made him almost fall.
"Wait… what hit me?" He asks before looking down.
There, next to Terry, was a young boy with blonde hair, different from Terry's, and red hair.
"Rock, what do we say?" Terry went.
"Sorry…" The little boy went with a bow.
"My apologies. I've been showing him a few moves to defend himself… but he gets carried away." Terry said.
"It's cool…" Danny went with a smile.
"Again, my apologies." Terry said with a bow as he took the boy by the arm. "Rock! I told you not to do that! Take this seriously." He chided.
"Sorry, Terry…" He said.
Terry sighed with a smile.
"I can't stay mad at you. Come on…" Terry went as he took the boy with him.
As they walked away, Danny stared at the two from behind.
"Who was that?" Danny asks.
"Terry Bogard. He's kind of a local hero here in South Town." Kula said.
"Weird that his son calls him by first name." Danny said.
"That's not actually his son, more like a boy he took in after… umm… you might have heard in the news about that incident… here… some time ago." Kula said with a nervous look on her face.
"Yeah… something… I don't know a hundred percent because a lot of info wasn't shared outside." Danny said.
"Okay… so… basically, Mr. Bogard took that boy in after his father… went MIA." Kula said.
"That's sad…" Danny said, feeling sympathy for a child's missing father.
"You wouldn't say that if you knew who his father was…" Kula said under her breath.
"Huh?" Danny asks.
"N-Nothing!" Kula went with a nervous smile before clearing her throat and pointing ahead. "Look! That ride has no line!" She went before taking Danny by the wrist and pulling him along.
As pulled the confused boy by the hand, she began to realize something.
Is he not with NESTS after all? She thought.
"Okay, who's this Rock kid?" Deadpool asks.
Frustrated, NeoMark stood up.
"Okay, Deadpool?! Do me a solid here because only you can do this since it'd take too long for Number Boy."
"What's that?" Deadpool asks.
"Go learn about Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting and King of Fighters! Play them if you have to!" NeoMark said.
"Why do you want Wade to learn stuff?" 61394 asks as he stuffs his face with Mike and Ike's.
While that happened, he was also pulling up a holographic screen with Kula's wiki page on it
"Sorry... but it frustrates me that this manchild from the 90's knows nothing of that series." NeoMark said.
"Okey-dokey-lokey!" Deadpool said as he got up and used Cable's time machine. "Let's hope I still have this in Deadpool 3!" He went cheekily before disappearing.
With him gone, NeoMark sat back down.
"Was that really necessary?" 61394 asks.
"1. Yes. 2. It's quieter here, isn't it?"
"True..." 61394 said, having finished reading the wiki page
"Sorry, but I had to."
"So why specifically replace Kitty with Kula?" 61394 asks. "I promise this isn't a setup or a Neo pairs Danny with redhead joke, I'm just curious"
"Well... I'm gonna come clean. One of the reasons I did this story is because I wanted to throw more video game characters into the mix of girls people wanna see Danny with in stories by us. Kula, while not exactly SNK's most prominent female character, was a popular character during the NESTS saga of KOF. Also, she's one of the youngest characters at 14… and has remained 14 even to recent games. The only exception was a dating sim… for obvious reasons. Plus, why did I replace her with Kitty? Because they each have one power Danny has, Kitty can go through walls and Kula, you probably guess that was her at the beginning, has ice powers. They're both one of the youngest members of their series. They know a guy who was experimented on and ended up with a nasty temper, Wolverine and K'. Plus, their names start with K." NeoMark responds.
61394 nods before turning back to the screen to watch.
"Wow, really put a lot of thought into it. There are a lot of similarities between the two characters and, at the end of the day, it's your story and your call." He said, having a lot of experience with people complaining about shipping in reviews or lack of shipping.
"Thanks, I figure you'd get it a lot of people probably called you out for doing a story about Danny and Katie's timeline and wanted you to pick a different person." Neo said.
61394 nodded.
"Thankfully, not as many as when I started Danny and Angelica." He answered before looking at the readers. "That wasn't a typo, folks. Angelica Pickles was more controversial than Katie Kaboom. I got two PMS demanding I replace Angelica with a different girl"
"Yikes." Neo said, understanding 61394's annoyance.
That's when Deadpool appears.
"OMG! How have I not played those?! Those games rock! No wonder Sakurai was inspired to make a fighting game and had to get Terry in there!" Deadpool went.
"So, you're up to speed?" NeoMark asks.
"Sure am! I know who Kyo Kusanagi is! Mai Shiranui is more than just on my top 20 waifus now! And best part, I can now recall Terry's moves!" Deadpool went.
"Oh, well that-"
"Rising tackle!" Deadpool went, in intentionally bad Engrish.
"GAH!" NeoMark went.
"Whoa! What's-" 61394 went before Deadpool made his move.
"PO-WER GUY-SAH!" Deadpool went, performing another move, this time on him.
"Dude! What're y-" Neo went but was cut off.
"Burning Knuck-le!" Deadpool went, punching him with speeds while fire emitted from his fist.
"Oh dang..." 61394 went.
"Are you ok?" Deadpool went.
"Not really... you hit me w-" 61394 went.
"Buster Wolf!" Deadpool went, hitting him with a greater version of the previous attack.
As the two laid on the floor, singed and hurt, Deadpool snickered.
"I suddenly regret what I told him to do..." NeoMark admitted.
"Don't worry, we'll be a-ok before we cut to the next scene with Danny's date with Kula. And he'll can it with intentionally bad English." 61394 said.
"How can you kn-"
1 hour later
Danny walked alongside Kula, who was enjoying a comically large lollipop all to herself.
And I thought Tucker's appetite needed some greens… He thought, worrying this girl was certainly on the path to type 2 diabetes.
"So… Kula?" Danny asks.
"Yeah?" She responded.
"It'll be lunch soon. Anything in particular you want? Something… not so sugary?" Danny suggested.
"Mh-mhh…" She went with a shrug. "I'm not too picky for anything not sweet."
"Shocker…" Danny said with a little sarcasm
During their time, while fun, Danny began to notice how genuinely childish she was.
Flashback
As they waited in line for a ride, Kula had gotten into a small spat with a much younger girl.
"You pushed me!" She went.
"Nuh-uh!" The small girl said.
"Yuh-huh!" Kula went.
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yuh-huh!"
Danny stared at this in disbelief.
Minutes later, on the ride, Kula laughed as loud as she could as she held her arms up, much to Danny's surprise.
Then later, at a game where they shoot water guns, Kula was shooting water blindly while giggling. Danny was the one to win and let Kula choose the prize.
"That one!" Kula went, pointing at a large, stuffed penguin with a cowboy hat that she snuggled with quickly.
Flashback over
What in the world happened to this girl to make her act like she hasn't matured since kindergarten? He thought.
He then noticed that, while he was lost in thought, Kula had finished the lollipop and let out a satisfied breath.
"Yummy!~" She went happily before dropping the candy-less stick.
"Whoa! Kula!" Danny went, picking the stick up and throwing it away. "Don't do that."
"Oh… sorry!" She went with a smile.
Getting a bit exasperated, Danny pinched his nose slightly.
"Kula… can I ask you something?"
"Yes?" Kula asks.
"Who… who raised you? What kind of life do you live?" He asks.
Kula, hearing that, looked away. It was as if she heard something very discomforting.
"I… get a lot of freedom from my uncle that I live with." She said.
"Really? So, you don't live with your parents?" Danny asks.
"N-No." Kulla said as she turned around and hid her face. "Please don't ask me about them again…"
Realizing that it was indeed a touchy subject, Danny felt surprised and guilty to put her on the spot like that.
Nice work, Fenton. You pulled a Jazz and tried psychoanalyzing someone you just met. Danny thought, knowing he made a mistake and feeling bad for it.
"Okay… I promise." He said before looking away.
"It's okay you didn't know..." Kula said.
With that, the two walked to find a bite to eat.
"I'm concerned." 61394 said
"About Danny's chances with Kula?" Neo asked, wondering what his coworker was talking about.
"What? No, not about that." 61394 said. "He made a mistake and he apologized for it. I'm concerned that nothing's attacked him yet. This version of Danny, going through the multiverse, the date gets interrupted by something trying to kill him and or put innocent people in danger."
"He's got a point! Where's the action? Kula's from a fighting game, I want to see her kick butt!" Deadpool said
"Just watch and see what happens, Wade. Just watch." Neo said. "Let's see what happens."
At the Ferris Wheel
Danny and Kula were now in the box that was reaching the very top.
Kula looked out the window with a big smile.
"It's so beautiful!" Kula went.
Seeing how childish yet innocent she was, Danny found himself once again finding her endearing as he cleared his throat.
"So, Kula?" She looked at him. "I'm sorry... you don't have to tell me about your family but… is there a reason you're so… y'know… energetic?" Danny asked.
Kula was silent for a moment with an unsure look on her face.
"Kind of…" She said, avoiding eye contact.
Danny blinked, fearing he'd upset her.
Was it sometimes I said? It must be connected... He wondered before she spoke up.
"It has to do with my parents… they're… probably dead." Kula answered, looking upset when she said this.
Danny looked surprised to hear this.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have kept asking..." He said, feeling sorry for her.
"It happened a long time ago...I honestly don't remember them. In fact, Kula Diamond isn't even my real name… it's something that N- not so great orphanage named me..." Kula said, sitting down and avoiding eye contact with Danny.
"Wait… you said you live with an uncle though. That means they found family for you, right?" Danny asks..
"I am living with my uncle, but that's just what I call him. Maxima, that's his name, took me in after I lost Candy. She's someone I considered a sister. I live with him, along with two people that I think of as a new sister and brother. Whip and K' are their names, though he's a bit grumpy all the time." Kula stated with a slight smile on her face.
"And… is there a reason your hometown wasn't marked on the profile?" Danny asks.
"We're not actually from South Town, we're just visiting for the Summer because he has work related stuff, and in cast there's another tournament..." She added.
"Tournament?" Danny asked.
"Yeah, I like to go to the King of Fighters tournaments..." She responded with a smile before looking as if she said something wrong. "T-To watch, of course…"
"Oh..." Danny said, not sure how to respond to all of that.
"So, Danny...what do you know about the King of Fighters tournament?" Kula asked.
"Never heard of it. I mean...I don't necessarily watch martial tournaments..." Danny explained.
"Oh..." Kula went, somewhat disappointed.
"You're like the second date who's ever asked me about them though." Danny said.
"Really?" Kula asks.
"Yeah." Danny said.
"I see…" Kula went.
However, her revealing her past, or apparent lack of a past, once again made her feel depressed as she looked away.
"So is that wh-" Danny asks but was cut off.
"Why do I act like a little kid? Yeah… I kind of… developed slowly… mentally, at least." She admitted.
Seeing a sad look on her face, Danny decided he had to speak up.
"Kula?" He spoke up.
"Hmm?" She went before seeing Danny reach out for her.
Placing a hand on hers, Danny smiled.
"You like living with this Uncle Max, right?" Danny asks, waiting until Kula nodded. "And with Whip and… K Mark?"
"It's K' and yes." Kula said.
"Then… you have nothing to worry about. I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way, but I don't think you have to worry too much about your parents. Even if you can't recall your parents, I bet they'd be happy to know their little girl is with good people. And, immaturity and risk of diabetes aside, you're a nice girl and very pretty too." Danny said reassuringly.
Hearing that put a smile on Kula's face as her face turned red.
"Thank you…" She said with much gratitude in her voice. "And it came out well..."
With a nod, Danny realized he was holding her hand. He attempted to pull back before she held onto it, showing she genuinely wanted to do so with him.
As he smiled and looked out at the scenery, Kula's smile became a slightly worried expression.
So… he's the real deal… which means… I made a big mistake. He's not with NESTS, he's not the enemy playing dumb… and… he's too nice to hate… She thought.
"Just kiss him already!" Deadpool said loudly, finding himself into this as much as he likes seeing Danny with Kim. "He's a nice guy who can be paired with arguably a lot of people in fiction! Just smooch the teenage hero and get started on the road to a version of you becoming the next Mrs. Fenton in this multiverse thing!" Deadpool shouted
"Wade, stop yelling at the screen like a howler monkey!" 61394 said, covering Deadpool's mouth. "They can't even hear you!"
As they got off the Ferris wheel, Kula had a notable frown on her face, one that made it seem like she's made a big mistake.
"Danny?" She asks, getting his attention.
"Sup?" He asks.
"I was wrong about you." She said.
"Uh... about what?" Danny asks.
"You're actually a nice guy, not just a cute face." She said happily.
"Oh... th-thanks?" Danny asks, mildly blushing.
"I thought after this morning, you were up to something. But, you didn't know who I was when you saw me like this, so I figured you didn't know everything you needed to. But now I know... you're not a bad person..." Kula went.
Danny blinked in surprise.
"What are you talking about?" He asks.
Before she could answer, someone saw her.
"KULA!"
Turning, they both saw a tall, muscular, intimidating man with silver gray hair and tanned skin, wearing shades, a silver chain necklace, fingerless red gloves, a black leather jacket, black leather pants held by a belt, and black shoes. Despite the shades, Danny could tell he was glaring at them, mostly at him.
"Who is that?" Danny asks.
Kula backed away, looking almost terrified.
"He's here for me." She went.
Thinking Kula's life was in danger, Danny took her arm and dragged her as they ran for it.
"You let go of her!" The man in glasses shouted as he walked a bit faster to catch up with them.
Danny mentally questions many things.
Who is this guy? Why was he dressed up like a Terminator? And what does he want with Kula?
As they left the amusement park, Danny thought fast and found a spot for Kula to hide.
"Stay here. I'll wait until the coast is clear from the dude in the shades." Danny said.
"What? But Danny?" Kula asks.
"It's alright, Kula. You're my date for the day and it's my job to keep you safe." He said with a thumb's up.
Kula blushed at this, too stunned to speak up before Danny ran for it.
Danny saw the man, so he let himself get spotted before he ran. The man chased after him. He was fast, but Danny had experienced running and chasing faster ghosts. He kept running until they reached a less populated alley, getting a chance to "go ghost" before turning invisible, waiting until the man arrived. The man looked surprised as he looked for Danny before he growled in frustration.
"Where'd that kid go?" He asks in a grunt. His fist emitted a flame he took a breath to dissipate.
Suddenly, a blast near his feet got his attention before he saw where it came from.
"Back off, Schwarzenegger wannabee!" Danny Phantom went.
The mystery man looked at him, mildly puzzled.
"Who the hell are you?" He questioned.
"Someone who was gonna go easy until he saw you basically firebending. Now? Not so much. Leave the nice girl and the nice guy she's clearly getting along with alone." Danny warned.
The one in shades scoffed angrily.
"Do you have any idea who you're messing with? Wait... I saw you in the news weeks ago with that whole storm with a face thing. What was it? Joey Spooks?" He questioned rudely.
"Danny Phantom." An unamused Danny responded.
"Right. Well, my name's K'. I'm guessing you're one of NESTS' projects after all if you're here for her." K' suggested.
"NESTS? That girl asked about that too." Danny wondered to himself.
"Now... get out of my way so I can get Kula!" K' shouted.
"Try me, hothead." Danny said.
K' did, by jumping towards Danny with a knee strike, which Danny avoided. K' then bounced off the wall and threw a flaming roundhouse kick, which Danny deflected with an ice shield, sending K' to the ground. He managed to land on his feet before jumping away to avoid Danny as he flew down with a kick.
Danny then rushed towards K', firing at him as he got closer. K' dodged the blasts before Danny got in front of him, throwing punches that K dodged and blocked. He retaliated by throwing a punch, but Danny dodged by spinning his body and used the momentum to do a spinning roundhouse kick, hitting K' on the face, sending him flying.
K' landed with a roll before he jumped back on his feet. He wiped his mouth with his right arm before he got in a crouching position. Before Danny could react, K' suddenly appeared in front of him, surprising the young half-ghost. Suddenly, K' threw his arm up, releasing a small explosion of fire that blasted Danny off his feet. He followed it up by rushing after Danny and delivered a fire uppercut that sent them both in the sky and finishing it with a kick that sent Danny crashing to the ground.
Groaning, Danny slowly stood up, covered in burn marks, but still unwavering against the admittedly strong fighter.
"You're toast, freak." K' shouted as he readied his fire.
"Cool off, hothead!" Danny said, readying his ice power.
That's when someone slid in between them, holding her arms out.
"Hold it!" She went.
Danny paused, recognizing the girl from this morning, outfit and all.
"You?!" He asks.
"What are you doing with this freak?" K' questioned.
"K'! Stop! He's not kidnapping me! He's my blind date!" She shouted.
That caught both of them off guard.
"Huh?!" They went in unison.
"I keep disappearing every day because I saw this flier and decided it would be fun! Because you won't take me to the amusement park these days while we were staying in South Town, I decided to meet boys to take me here! I was scared you'd hurt him!" She went.
K' growled in anger.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks, face palming in frustration.
"I did! Uncle Maxima and I brought it up and you said, and I quote "sure...whatever...I don't care" before you went to bed!" She went.
Danny blinked in surprise before raising his finger.
"Uh... miss?" Danny got her attention. "Sorry but... you're not my da-"
"Danny, I know it's you." She said suddenly, getting his attention. "I saw you fly into that dead end alley before you stepped out with black hair."
Danny internally panicked since the person who attacked him earlier found out his secret, before something entered his mind.
"Okay... this is number 5 in the list of questions I should ask but... how do you know my name?" He asks
In response, the girl took a breath before, to his surprise, her blue hair turned strawberry blonde and her magenta eyes turned blue.
"This is why..." She said.
Danny blinked a few times before rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.
"KULA?!" He asks.
Kula nervously smiled.
"It's me…" She said.
5 minutes later, on the beach.
Danny rubbed his ear clean to make sure he heard what he heard correctly.
"So… K… whatever… he was experimented on with DNA from this… Kyo guy, giving him his fire powers. They did something to you to make you like his kryptonite?" Danny questioned.
"Just about…" Kula admitted.
Danny then looked to K' as he avoided eye contact.
"And you saved her despite that, and you're the big brother type she talked about, right?" He asks.
"Leave me out of this." K' growled.
Danny had an unamused look on his face.
"You're the one who came looking for her." He pointed out before looking at Kula again. "So… you're… some kind of…"
"Lab experiment?" Kula asks, feeling ashamed at what happened to her.
"I was gonna say a super soldier." Danny stated, his tone making it clear he meant no insult. "Like Captain America but not voluntary and a lot prettier than he is."
"Oh… well… I guess so…" Kula said, blushing a little bit at being called pretty
"So… is that why you… uh… can't… re-"
'... remember my parents? Yeah… that's why." Kula said, looking away and feeling very upset. "I did things for them… and my sister Candy had to suffer for it too. They made her to be my partner, but they made her so nice that she became my sister and only friend." Kula said.
"Made her?" Danny asks.
"Her "sister" was a robot." K' answered, still not looking at them.
"I tried to find a way to fix her… but I don't know anything about robots. And… I'm not even sure if I can. She might've lost her soul too." Kula admitted, feeling saddened.
"You mean… her software?" Danny asks.
"If you mean her insides, yes. I can't replace those… because it wouldn't be Candy… just something that looks like her." Kula admitted with tears in her eyes.
Danny frowned, not knowing what to say. He saw Kula and realized her childish mindset was from only interacting with a robot designed to care for her, along with her only family involved someone she was made to kill.
No wonder she's like that. It's almost like a worse way Danielle could have been… Danny thought before something came to his mind.
"Wait… Kula? Did you… umm… that is to say…" He found himself reluctant to say what was on his mind. "... did you… well… kill anyone for them?"
Kula had an almost emotionless look on her face before looking away.
"I don't know…" She said, surprising Danny. "I honestly can't remember much. Either they did something… or I just don't wanna remember it… I can only hope it was other bad people if it were true…" She admitted.
"I understand. There was a time someone brainwashed me, used me to rob banks and stuff. He had me nearly kill one of my only friends in front of a live audience. I almost did it." He explained quietly with a voice full of guilt as he scratched the side of his head. "I don't remember a lot of what happened under his control, but I'm sure I didn't kill anyone."
Kula looked up surprised she never thought she'd find someone who'd been through something like she did.
"I'm sorry that happened to you." Kula said
"I'm sorry too." Danny said back.
The two teenagers entered a very awkward silence as K' rolled his eyes.
"Match made in heaven…" He snarked under his breath.
"So… what do we do now?" He asks.
"I don't know… if you wanna go… I won't stop you." Kula said, turning her back to him.
"... do… Do you want me to leave?" Danny asks.
Kula shook her head before pouting.
"No… I don't. I… I actually like you, Danny. You're a nice guy, and cute too… but… I didn't want you to know this part of my life. Honestly, you deserve better than someone who used to be a weapon…" She said sadly before turning her back again.
K' groaned after seeing this.
"Hey, you." K' said to Danny. "You're her date, right? Make her feel better." He stated.
"What an encouraging big brother figure…" Danny snarked.
Saying that actually got a small laugh out of Kula, something they all noticed.
Realizing what she did, Kula cleared her throat and tried to remain stoic before Danny thought back to a previous date with another girl who was familiar with a fighting tournament. So, an idea sprung.
"Kula?" He asked.
"Y-Yes?" She asks nervously.
"So, about these Fighting King games or whatever you called them." Danny said.
"King of Fighters." Kula corrected him.
"Right… so… I'm guessing now you don't watch, you enter, right?" He asks.
"Y-Yeah?" Kula asks, turning her head and wondering where he was going with this.
"So… you're not the first date I've had who is into fighting. She told me something her idol told her…" Danny said as he pulled back.
"What's that?" She asks.
"The answer lies in the heart of battle…" Danny said.
"Tch…" K' muttered. "Buncha cr-"
"Really?" Kula asks eagerly.
"Yeah… so… why don't we spar and get those bad feelings in you out of you? Because I don't see you as a weapon, I see you as a girl who… black hole for sweets notwithstanding, is a great girl and I'm hoping this gets your thoughts out of your head and see for yourself that I have no problem thinking of you as a friend or as anything else." He said.
Hearing that lifted her spirits.
"R-Really?!" She asks.
Danny nodded as he stepped back, as did Kula.
"Fighting to understand each other. What crazy girl gave him that advice?" K' went before shaking his head and walking away.
Still, K' would admit it did cheer up Kula, as evident by the smile he hid from them.
"K'! Come back!" Kula went, only to see him go around the corner, causing her to pout grumpily. "Meanie!"
"Forget him, Kula! Just show me what you got!" Danny went.
"Alright!" Kula went, her joy returning.
Danny and Kula stood far from each other in their respective fighting stances.
"You know, if I have a quarter for every date I have a spar with, I'd probably have a dollar at this point, which isn't much, but still weird." Danny said.
"I guess that means you're as strong as you are cute, Danny." Kula said with a smirk.
She then started the spar by jumping to the air and spun around, throwing a kick that Danny blocked with his arm. She followed by doing a spinning heel kick, which Danny dodged before he threw a punch, which she blocked before using the arm to jump over Danny, throwing a kick, which he ducked.
When she landed on the ground, she did a sliding kick, making Danny jump over before she followed with a sweep kick, actually tripping Danny, making him full on his butt.
She winked at him before using her ice powers to make walls to run up, making Danny quickly stand up and fly after her, smirking playfully. When she was high enough, Kula pulled a trick from her other date, and used the ice to make platforms to connect to the walls, using them to maneuver better. Danny chased after her, but she kept jumping away from his reach.
Suddenly, as she grabbed onto an ice pole, it shattered, making her gasp in surprise as she suddenly fell. Danny noticed before he flew after her and caught her, holding her in a bridal manner.
"My hero..." Kula said happily before, to his surprise, she kissed him on the lips.
It took Danny a second to realize what was happening before he landed.
Kula held onto him, still kissing him. Instead of pushing her off, he found himself holding her and kissing back.
After a few seconds, she pulled away.
"That's my way of saying thanks for what you said, and for still wanting to stay..." She said with a smile.
"So… feeling better?" Danny asks, barely hiding his smile.
"Yup!" Kula went before an idea sprung. "But.. maybe more ice cream will help?"
Danny laughed.
"Fine… should we change or go as is?" He asks.
"Hmm… maybe as is?" She suggests.
With that, Danny carried her with him into the air.
Kula had a big smile on her face as she felt the wind through her hair, all while she was holding Danny tightly.
He felt his heart beat a bit faster as she held onto him, his chest feeling her side as she beamed with excitement.
"So cool!" She went.
Seeing her smile put a smile on his own face.
1 hour later
Danny and Kula returned to the same part of the beach where they met. There, she formed ice under her feet to skate with as she circled Danny. Both of them held cones, Kula's having the higher stack of 4 vs Danny's 1.
K' spotted them, watching them from afar.
He knew Kula was here because the ice was clearly not natural. She had apparently gotten up to get some exercise done before her date before she met said date, not realizing it was him until later.
"So… you got your powers from science too, huh?" Kula asks.
"Sure did. Ghost powers. I got a huge supply of them besides flying and shooting beams." Danny said.
"Really?!" Kula asks, getting excited and getting closer before inching forward in a manner like a small child wanting to learn more. "What kind?!"
Danny chuckled at this.
"Well… I can do this." Danny said before a second Danny appeared briefly, much to Kula's joy. "And I can do this too…" Danny said as the copy disappeared, holding his hand up and creating an ice crystal.
Kula gasped with excitement.
"You're just like me!" She went.
"And here's something I've been working on…" Danny said before he used the next power.
Kula let out a scream of fright, her eyes widened as she looked at his hand backing away from him. The reason why was she looking at his hand was because Danny held green fireball had formed between his palm.
"F-Fire!" She went.
"Kula?" Danny asked, looking at his hand and concentrating on dispelling the fire.
"You can make fire?!" Kula asked while frightened.
"Yeah, it's a recent power I picked up before I went camping. I've accidentally singed my shirts a couple of times." Danny confessed seeing how scared he was and how K' looked ready to step in to protect Kula from him
"N-No! It's okay…" Kula went
"I didn't mean to scare you. I can go if you want me to." Danny said apologetically as Kula looked afraid before she shook her head.
"No no, don't go! It's just I don't have the best experiences with fire." She told him
Danny nodded again. He could relate as he'd been electrocuted one too many times since the accident. It's why he avoided using his electrical powers unless needed to.
"Wait…" Danny realized something. "You were given powers to fight a guy with fire powers… the same guy you live with now… and you're afraid of fire?" Kula nodded. "Not to be unsympathetic to you or supportive of NESTS, but isn't a girl who's afraid of fire being trained to fight a guy with fire… a poor investment?"
"It's not like I developed the fear at first… it took a while…but… K' is the only person whose fire doesn't make me… uncomfortable…" Kula admitted shyly.
Hearing that, Danny knew what to say to her.
"I know we may not pick each other, but if we do, I won't use my fire powers around you." Danny promised. "Unless I absolutely, one hundred percent have to."
Kula seemed to calm down as she nodded.
"Okay…" She said, happily licking her ice cream once more.
K' shook his head at this as he rolled his eyes and walked away a few feet.
Feeling comfortable around Danny again, Kula skated closer as they stood shoulder to shoulder.
"I had so much fun with you today!" She went with a big smile.
"Me too…" Danny said before Kula hugged him with one arm, making his face turn red at how closer her own face was to his. He tried his best to avoid eye contact due to him realizing he wasn't as over his flustered reactions with pretty girls as he thought.
Wow… she's pretty… and she's awesome! Those powers… those skills… that figure… that outfit…How is she 14? Did they put steroids in her or something? He thought before shaking his head clear, his face turning red.
"It's okay! It's all natural! Despite the ice cream, I eat enough for a healthy figure." Kula said with a playful tone, making a flustered Danny pull away.
"Whoa! Wait a minute! Did I say something I don't remember saying?!" He asks.
"You're eying me, aren't ya?" Kula went with a wink.
"N-No…" Danny went, turning his eyes away.
Kula giggled before taking his hand with her free one that wasn't holding the ice cream cone.
"It's okay… most people don't look at me like you do." Kula said before blushing a bit. "I kind of like it."
Danny smiled at her, realizing there's a mutual interest between them.
30 minutes later
Danny and Kula had kept talking, enjoying the sunset together. K' was far enough, giving them enough space.
"So… Kula?" Danny asks.
"Hmm?" She went.
"About my secret…" Danny said.
"Don't worry. You keep my secret, I'll keep yours…" Kula assured.
"Really?" Danny asks, feeling a bit unsure.
"Don't worry… I like you enough to wanna be friends even if this doesn't work out." Kula said with an innocent smile.
"It's not really you I'm worried about…" Danny said before his eyes slowly went to K' from afar. "Him, on the other hand…"
Knowing what Danny meant, Kula turned around and looked at K'.
"Hey! K'!" She shouted, getting his attention. "Don't tell anyone about Danny or I'm gonna be mad at you!"
K' scoffed before looking away.
"Whatever! Just don't hurt Kula and you and I won't have a problem!" He went.
"Huh… whadya know?! The edgelord does have a soft spot!" Danny went with a smile, making Kula giggle again.
K' sucked in some air in anger, doing his best to hold his fire in.
As the two on a date laughed together, Danny's phone went off.
"Hmm? What's that?" Kula asks as Danny frowned at what he read.
"My alarm… I live miles away, at least an hour by flight. This means I gotta go soon…" Danny explained.
"Aww… do you gotta?!" Kula whined, earning a laugh from Danny.
"We got a little bit of time…" He said before taking her hand. "So… can I get some ice skating practice?"
Hearing that, Kula smiled and, after finishing her ice cream fast and licking her face clean, took his hand.
"Okay!"
With that, the two skated together.
1 hour later
It was now dark.
Once they finished, Danny had promised to melt the ice with his ghost ray, as to avoid any trace of it. He had been told there were a few remnants of NESTS, so the less hint of where Kula and K' were currently, the better.
Once done, he went to Kula and K', seeing it was getting dark.
"So… I guess this is it." Danny said.
"I'd give you my email… but uncle Max said it's probably a bad idea." Kula admitted sadly.
"Oh… yeah… you gotta keep a low profile." Danny said, feeling equally as sad.
Seeing the sad look on Kula's face, K' groaned.
"Y'know…" He spoke up. "You're not even supposed to be on these dates. So… I don't think it's too much trouble to trust him, since NESTS or anyone involved with those stupid tournaments knows about him."
Hearing that, Kula smiled happily.
"Thank you, K'!" She went, K' turning his head away to ignore her.
"Okay…" Danny said as he took out his phone. "Give away…"
Kula was about to give him the email before an idea sprung.
"Actually…" She went, pressing her fingers together.
"Actually…?" Danny asks.
"Can I… see your face?" Kula asks, confusing Danny. "Your not Phantom face." She clarified.
Hearing her but not getting what she wanted, Danny had an idea.
"Well…" With his eyes closed, he morphed only his head back to human form. "Here's a trick I've been working on for Halloween…"
Kula smiled before, with her own eyes closed, her hair turned back to strawberry blonde. Opening her eyes, they were blue once more.
She slowly reached for Danny's face, cupping it with her gloved hands. Danny's face turned red, realizing what she wanted.
Before she moved her face closer, she comically frowned at K' before gesturing for him to turn around. With a loud grunt, he did so as he crossed his arms.
Kula went back to smiling at Danny.
"I just wanted to do this… I kissed you as Phantom, I really wanna do it to you as Fenton." She said.
Hearing that, Danny smiled as he nodded.
Slowly, Kula inched her face closer and pressed her lip on Danny's.
It took seconds before Danny pulled her closer around the waist, kissing her back.
The two shared their kiss under a lovely moonlight before they slowly pulled back.
"Wow…" Danny said, realizing that this is the first date he's been kissed on the lips twice.
"Yeah… so, a deal's a deal…" Kula said as she took his phone and started typing.
As that went on, Danny saw K' was watching before looking away.
"Thank you, K'." Danny said graciously.
"Again, don't hurt her and we'll have no problems." K' said, refusing to look at him.
Danny smiled a bit before Kula handed him his phone.
"There… I wrote it down." Kula went as her hair and eyes transformed again.
Danny, his head going back to Phantom, pressed buttons.
"And… send." He said, much to Kula's surprise. "Well… see you…" Danny said as he slowly hovered off the ground.
With a smile, Kula then hugged him before he got up. Danny hugged her back, finding he's come to enjoy her company.
"Bye, Danny…" Kula said as she let go.
"Bye, Kula…" He said with a smile before he elevated off the ground and flew, waving to her until he was out of sight.
Kula waved as widely as she could until he was long out of sight before sighing happily.
"Danny was… so cool!" She went.
"Great… I guess we should let Maxima know he knows. I'll keep my mouth shut about his powers, but I wanna make sure your boyfriend keeps his word." K' said.
Hearing that, Kula childishly stomped her foot on the ground.
"He's not my boyfriend!" She shouted.
"Sure… I'm sure Danny hated being kissed by you." K' scoffed in sarcasm.
Kula was about to get angry again until she noticed something.
"Wait… you used his name…" Kula said before she smiled. "You think he's great too, right?" K' scoffed before walking away. "You like us together, doncha?!" She teased.
"Just come on before I change my mind and share his secret with everyone, not just Maxima." K' insisted as he walked away.
Kula smiled at this, knowing he does indeed hold some respect for Danny and want to see her happy.
She then looked back at where Danny flew away.
"Danny…" She said happily before following K'. "Let's get ice cream on the way back to Maxima!"
"Haven't you had enough of that junk?" K' questioned.
"It's not junk and I like it!" Kula went before looking back to where her date went. "Like I like Danny…"
Seeing the enamored look on her face, K' sighed before he cracked a small smile.
"Fine… let's go…" He sid in a defeated tone.
Kula nodded, looking back to where Danny went.
"See ya later… Danny…" She said under her breath as she followed.
"Well that was a good date." 61394 said, standing up before looking to Neo. "So, see you at the marvel date?"
"Sounds like a plan, man." Neo agreed with his coworker. "Still, I might have something in mind for later."
"You'd better not come back unless you update Danny and Kitty first!" Deadpool demanded. "It's the only decent thing he's got going on in this multiverse thanks to cameos from yours truly!"
Neo rolled his eyes until he saw 61394's smirk.
"Hey Wade! Since we've been talking about video games so much in this chapter, why don't I share with you a video game I've played?" He asks.
"Why would I want to do that?" Deadpool asks.
"I'll give you an elephant's weight in chimichangas if you beat it!" 61394 offered with a mischievous grin
"Deal." Deadpool said.
"Great." 61394 snapped his fingers and a classic arcade machine appeared.
The top of the console read 'Dragons Lair'. Neo raised an eyebrow seeing what game his coworker had conned Deadpool into playing.
"Oh, that's just evil…" He muttered.
"Don't worry about tokens, this machine doesn't take them. Have fun, Wade." 61394 said before he began to vanish. "Excelsior, true believers."
"Uh, Deadpool? There's something you should probably know about that game" Neo tried to warn.
"Relax Neo. If number boy can beat this game, then so can wait game over already" Deadpool said, his attention on the screen. "Ok, beginner's luck, Don Bluth. I've got it handled this time!"
NeoMark shook his head seeing Deadpool lose again to the notoriously hard game.
"He'll figure it out…" He said.
