Chapter 12 : Revealing the truth
The next scene shows Isabela standing to the side and watching as her sister gets scolded.
Mirabel: "Abuela it's okay the Magic-"
Abuela Alma: " What are you talking about look at our home, Look at your sister".
Mirabel: "Please just Isabela wasn't happy-"
Abuela Alma: "Of course she is unhappy you ruined her proposal ".
"SHE DID NO SUCH THING IF ANYTHING SHE SAVED ME FROM MARRYING A MAN I DIDN'T LOVE AND I LOVE HER FOR IT". Isabela yells
"Si, she helped me learn to let go and be myself and helped me relax so I don't understand why you are blaming my sister when all she did was help". Luisa exclaimed
"Girls don't do this it's fine". Mirabel shakes
"No it's not I heard you cry every night and I didn't do anything I am so sorry ". Dolores started
"Si I don't like it went you are upset ". Antonio piped
"Si you did everything for your family so why do they treat you like this?" Abel questioned
Mirabel shook her head.
"Well they shouldn't ". Rosa added
Mirabel: " No she needed me to ruin her proposal and then we did all this and the candle burned brighter and the cracks that's why I am in the vision I am saving the Miracle ".
Abuela Alma : " You have to stop Mirabel ; the cracks started with you Bruno left because of you I don't know why you didn't get a gift but is is not an excuse to hurt this family".
"MAMÁ ARE YOU KIDDING ME MIRA DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG I LEFT ON MY ACCORD I LEFT TO PROTECT HER FROM THE VISION HOW DARE YOU!?" Bruno screams
Imelda then stood in and had a few words to say.
"All she has done is look out for your family and yet you still blame her she is one of the strongest people I have met if anything you should be apologising ". Imelda looked furious
"Si, that girl has done more good than of you you should be ashamed Of yourself ". Berto added
Meanwhile Mirabel was having a panic attack she felt as though she couldn't handle it and the ringing in her ears had started and breathing became heavy.
"Mira?" Héctor called
Somehow he knew what was going on and took to the next room to get some quiet. Miguel quietly followed and got some water on the way out.
"I'm sorry ". Mirabel mumbled
"No no no no chica no this isn't your fault and you don't have to apologise ". Héctor whispered
"If anything you did a very brave thing Mija and that is all that matters ". Héctor took her hands and gently squeezed them as he smiled
"I feel like it's all my fault I did this I still have nightmares of that night ". Mirabel replies shaking
"Oh Mija Carina I'm so sorry ". Héctor looked sad
"I'm sorry for dropping this all on you and your family ". Mirabel replies
"No Mija No no no it's okay we are going to get through this together that's why we are here". Héctor smiled
"Really?" Mirabel coaxed
"Si absolutely ". Héctor smiles
Just then Miguel came in with some water and sat down next to her and held her hand.
"I figured you might need this". He handed her the bottle of water
"Gracias ". Mirabel thanked
Meanwhile outside Julieta, Bruno, Dolores, Abel and Rosa we're giving Alma a lesson.
"I can't believe said that to my daughter of all the things you have said this is crossing the line ". Julieta scolds
"I know and I am sorry Mija ". Alma shrunk
"It's not me you should be apologising to". Julieta crossed her arms
When Mirabel finally came out everyone looked sad but happy she was okay.
"Estas bien Mariposa?" Bruno asked
"Si Tio". Mirabel replies
Before Alma could say anything Mirabel hugged her tightly , Alma on the other hand was very confused.
"Thank you for everything even if you were yelling ". Mirabel replies
"Mira darling don't thank me I made things worse and I am so sorry for blaming you for everything it was out of line". Alma apologises
"You are reflecting and that's okay I understand and as I said you have to earn my trust I am not just going to give it up ". Mirabel stated
"Si, Mija I understand ". Alma shook her head
Mirabel felt those words hit her like her tone of Bricks as cracks started appearing bigger and wider behind her.
Mirabel: "I will never be good enough for you will I ?"
Alma was looking furious still from the outrage of the argument.
"Mira darling you are more than enough for me you are more then I expected but I wouldn't have any other way". Alma said
She went over and prepped kisses all over her granddaughter's face as she laughed.
"Abuela!!" She screams
"No not giving Mi Mija up ever not a million years ". Alma cuddled her close
"I second that". Pedro joined in
"Abuelo don't encourage her". Mirabel smiled
Pretty soon the rest joined in the group hug and It was so precious.
Miguel laughed as he sat near her.
"Looks like your family is never gonna give you up". Miguel chuckled
"Si". She laughed
"Just so you know I love you just as you are". Miguel admits
"Is that so?" Mirabel giggles
"Si is that so hard to believe ". Miguel smiled
"Si maybe a little ". She tapped his nose
Oh okay let me show you then". Miguel replies
And with that he kissed her softly and full of love and appreciation and it was very passionate.
Everyone saw this and tried to hide their smiles but couldn't help it; Pepa and Julieta sighed and had their hands over their hearts.
"I knew it". Socorro whispered
"Si looks like you did Mija". Elena and Franco laughed
"See what did I tell You our instincts are never wrong ". Bruno and Héctor gloated
"Okay si you two are right". Isabela laughed
Meanwhile Mirabel and Miguel had broken apart they looked at each other and smiled.
Mirabel chuckled at the Lip gloss smothered on his lips.
"Que!?" He asked
" Nada you just have… some lip gloss on you". Mirabel replies
Mirabel gently wiped it off and smiled.
They smiled as they continued to laugh at each other.
Mirabel: "No matter how hard I try, no matter how hard any of us try Luisa will never be strong enough Isabela will never be perfect enough Bruno left this family because you only saw the worse in him."
Abuela Alma : " Bruno didn't care about this family".
At that Bruno shrunk sad in his seat looking away from his mother as if it was a hard blow to the chest attacking his heart.
"Wow you really thought so low of me". Bruno mumbles
"That was way out of line Señora ". Abel said
"I know and I am so sorry Mijo and I was wrong at how much you love this family I see that now and you're not a disappointment not in my eyes I hope you understand you'll always be my baby boy ". Alma hugged her son tightly
"Who are you and what have you done with my mother?" He joked
"Ay". Alma sighed
Bruno embraced the hug and Pedro joined in and so did Pepa and Julieta they all sighed as they wished this could last forever.
"Feeling better?" Layla asked
"Much". They all replied
Once the hug broke free he went over to Mirabel his Mariposa and gave her a tight hug she was very surprised she didn't know what to do.
"Que Tio?" She asked
"Thank you Mija for standing up for us all but most of all me and I couldn't thank you Enough ". Bruno smiles
"Te quireo Tio whenever you need it". She smiled
He then prepped kisses all over his Sonbrina and she laughed.
"Tio!!" Mirabel screams
"Never I will never give in to those eyes of yours Mija". Bruno laughed
She then looked up at him and Innocently smiled. He tried to look away but he couldn't and he had to shield his eyes from hers.
"It burns it burns". Bruno dramatically throws his hands over his eyes.
"Okay being a little Overdramatic Tio". Mirabel replies
"You're right a little too far". Bruno smiles
Mirabel: "You're the one breaking our home".
Abuela Alma : "don't you ever".
Mirabel: " The Miracle is dying because of you ".
At that Alma's gut felt like it had been punched at those words and meanwhile the house and its cracks were the last straw and the house started to crack massively spreading everywhere even knocking and shaking Pedro 's portrait. The family looked around at the cracks and everything started to shake as that was happening Mirabel had one job and one thing left to do eyeing the candle she left forward and asked Casita to make a ladder.
Mirabel: "Casita get me up there".
Isabela and Camilo Tried to rescue Mirabel Isabella with her vines and Camilo with his Shapeshifting to try and stop her from risking her life but was unsuccessful; Isabella dropped to the floor gently with the help of the Casita as her vines had stop working. Camilo safely also dropped on the floor with the help of Casita.
Felix: " Mirabel the house is gonna Blow!!"
Julieta: "Mirabel !!"
Pepa : "Mirabel get out!!"
Julieta : "Mirabel leave it!!
Augustin: "Mirabel we have to get out!!"
Meanwhile in the wall Bruno sort the cracks starting to break open the wall and he put his bucket on his head grab one of his rats stuffed him in his Ruana and broke through wall landing on the other side safely as he continued to look up at his niece with worry and afraid she wasn't gonna make it in time.
But Mirabel on the other hand continued to ignore her families pleas make her stop reaching for the candle she climb the roof and slowly but surely you got the candle but she didn't notice Bruno's tower it was going to fall on top of her Casita slowly moved the roof and slid her down using a lot of Casita's powers they protected her with household items such as chairs doors and what not to keep her from dying.
"Are you crazy Hermanita you could have died!?" Isabela yelled
"Well I am sorry but I'd rather die then let our family loose this Miracle ". Mirabel replies
"MIJA ARE YOU CRAZY WHAT HAVE I SAID THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE THING THAT YOU STILL DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND?" Pedro states
"That I am the Miracle ". Mirabel replies
Pedro took a deep breath and started again.
"Si Mi Mariposa and you still don't seem to understand ". Pedro Breathed
"But Abuelo- " She was stopped
" No no I don't wanna hear it, no miracle can replace you my love do you understand me; ridiculous how you think that the stupid candle can do everything but it can never replace you. You are irreplaceable my darling and I don't want you saying that you do not deserve a gift you are not loved in this family because you are very much so". Pedro explains
"Si Abuelo is right nothing can replace you". Dolores started
They soon joined in on a massive group hug and everyone laughed , Mirabel felt tears streaming down her cheeks as she was being hugged .
"Mi Carina what's wrong?" Imelda asked
"Nothing". She shook her head
"Prima don't cry ". Antonio piped
"I agree with Antonio because if you start to cry we all cry and you know how bad that is". Camilo replies
"Aw shush leave her be". Héctor shooed
Once everyone relaxed from the hug Miguel gently pulled her aside and he smiled.
"Lo siento Mucho I guess it just came so quickly ". She chuckled lightly
"No don't ever be sorry ". Miguel smiled gently
"Are you crying?" Mirabel asked
"No I just have allergies ". Miguel smiled
She hugged him tightly and smiled he returned the hug just as tightly he leaned her head against his and they laughed and cried together.
"I guess we are both as bad as each other". Miguel lightened the mood
"Si I guess we are". She laughed
Socorro then hugged Mirabel's legs and she smiled up at her.
"Que Hermanita?" She asked
"I am just glad you Okay ". Socorro smiled
"You and me both". Mirabel hugged little Socorro
As they walked back to their seats she gently smiled and laughed.
The next scene shows the house and Everything crashes down and Mirabel covers the candle to keep it protected as the flame burns out, as she sits with her head down as rocks continue to fall down Casita waves Mirabel her last goodbye with a window shutter as if this was the last time they would see each other as the shutters fall down to reveal Mirabel Crouches down like a child holding the candle when I hand as it burns Out.
The families hold the breath as they watched the scene, Miguel squeezes Mirabel hand tightly as she watches her try and rescue the candle.
Julieta: "Mirabel, Mirabel!!"
Julieta looked everywhere for her daughter until she finally found her sitting amongst the rubble holding the burned out candle in her hands.
Julieta: "Mirabel are you hurt!!"
Mirabel replies shaking her head slowly.
Julieta hugged her daughter tightly as Mirabel cried into her shoulder, Soon Camilo hugged her just as tight as they sat in silence as did Dolores and Isabela.
"I'm sorry ". Mirabel Mumbles
"No No No Mija No No don't apologise ". Julieta shook her head furiously
"But I ruined everything ". Mirabel cries
"No you didn't this needed to happen all that matters is that you are okay". Isabela hugged her tightly
"Si, Isa is right everything is okay as long as your safe". Camilo replies
They all went in for a big group hug and smiled at her, Miguel and his family smiled at this reconciliation.
"Besides that Candle is not as important as you Mija". Pedro smiles
"Gracias Abuelo ". Mirabel thanked
"Ah there's Mi Mariposa there's that smile that darling smile". Pedro hugged her close
Julieta looked worried and concerned for her daughter as she looked her over.
Pepa: "Julieta Come quick".
Julieta looked over quickly to where her sister was calling her.
Pepa: " Julieta ".
Julieta: "Don't move I'll be right back".
"Julie She's gonna move". Bruno said
"You think?" Victoria added
"Knowing Mirabel She would". Camilo replies
The Next shows Mirabel moving outside the mountains between the cracks and to an unknown place where she could have some peace. Meanwhile Julieta was done with Pepa and helping her family she looked all around for her and couldn't find her.
Julieta: "Mirabel!!"
She called for her daughter but she was nowhere to be seen.
Julieta: " Where's Mirabel , Mirabel ".
Augustin: "Mirabel!!"
Pepa's side of the family joined the search as well as the entire town as Felix and Pepa were looking around with Dolores hearing for her voice just in case.
Felix: "Mirabel!!"
Cecilia: "They haven't found her yet ".
Dolores cupped her ear to see if she could hear anything at all as they trench through the forest and jungle, Meanwhile Luisa and Isabela were looking on the low ground for their sister. Meanwhile a shadow was cast as a part of forest was shown and a pink thread was shown in the shape of an 'M'.
"You were that worried about Me". Mirabel looked surprised
"Of course we were". Antonio piped
"I couldn't live with myself knowing you could have died". Isabela sadness
"We are just glad you are okay". Camilo hugged his Prima tightly
"Okay , Okay I get it can you let go now Cami ". Mirabel smiled
"Never". Camilo laughs
"I second that". Dolores and Luisa joined in
"Guys". Mirabel replies
"Looks like your gonna hug the air out of her niños ". Imelda chuckled
"Don't encourage them Miss Imelda". Mirabel replies
"Lo siento ". She smiled
After about ten Minutes they finally let go and smile at her.
"Promise you'll never do something stupid like that again ". They asked her
"I promise ". Mirabel replies
"Good". Antonio squeezes her tight wanting never to let her go.
Miguel gently pulled her to the side and smiled at her.
"Que?" She asked
"I think I speak for everyone when I say DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN ". Miguel states
"Si, Lo prometo Musico ". She then gave him a light peck on the cheek
He then proceeds to spin her around as she dances in his arms her skirt moving up and down with an imaginary beat of music.
"That's what I call love and soulmates". Layla replied
"I agree". Casita smiled
Miguel stopped spinning with her and put a bluebell in her hair.
"How did you know ". Mirabel asked
"Your sister told me". He pointed to Isabela
"Well it's beautiful ". She blushed
"Not as beautiful as you". Miguel smiled
"WoW cheesy did you come up with that on the spot". Mirabel lightly smacked him on the arm playfully
"Yes, Yes I did". Miguel smiled
As they walked back to their seats holding hands, Julieta and Pepa smiled at the two as did Héctor,Bruno Imelda,Coco And Julio. Felix and Augustin high fiving each other as they knew this was going to happen.
"Told you". Bruno smiled
"Alright Alright we get it". Rosa laughed
Meanwhile Mirabel and Miguel New their families watching them and chuckled at the sight of them arguing who's right and who's wrong as they continued to hold hands throughout The rest of the movies.
The next scene shows Mirabel crying with her knees to her chest as she cries into her skirt crying by what looked like a river as her Abuela slowly came up behind her.
Abuela Alma: "Mirabel ".
The girl doesn't turn to look at her Abuela so instead she spoke to the water running in the river.
Mirabel: "I'm sorry I never met to hurt us I just wanted to be something I am not".
Abuela Alma sat down and watched with Mirabel as they watched the water flow from the river and for a moment they sat in silence watching the water.
Abuela Alma: "I've never been able to come back her".
Both families looked curious at what Alma was talking about But Pedro knew exactly what she was about to say…
