Back in the future, Sonia was seen resting at a pond, dunking her feet in the water. She loved running but didn't mind taking a few seconds to cool her feet.

"Alright, I'm ready to go," Sonia said, standing back up.

"Already? We just stopped for a break," Amy said.

"Yeah, but I'm ready to move again, gotta go the distance," Sonia said.

"Wow, you've got a lot of energy," Amy said, chuckling to herself. "But I suppose kids are excitable, just like I was at your age."

"Yeah, I'm super excitable!" Sonia said, doing some in place jogging. "Ready to explore the world!"

"Settle down Sonia, we're not in any rush to go anywhere," Sonic said. "Plus, don't you want to hear more of the story?"

"Oh yeah! Your first trip to Earth!" Sonia said, taking a seat by her father. "What was in like anyway? Like, who was this boy? Is he a superhero?"

"No, Ryo isn't a superhero, but he still had a sense of justice," Sonic said.

Years prior, in Yokosuka, Japan, Sonic had woken up inside a Dojo near a house. He looked around, trying to recall what happened the night prior.

"Eggman...that machine," Sonic remembered the robots destroying the machine, then the next thing he knew, he was in this strange location. "What could that all mean anyway?"

Suddenly the door opened, Sonic taking note of the arriving Ryo, "You're awake. Good."

"Oh, good morning," Sonic said, waving at the boy.

"Come inside my home, my father would like to speak with you," Ryo said. "Plus, we have breakfast."

"Just in time," Sonic said rubbing his stomach. "I don't remember the last time I ate."

"Our maid is a great cook," Ryo said. "Come inside."

"Lead the way," Sonic said, following Ryo.

The two traveled briefly across the estate, and given that it was morning, Sonic could see much better how great this place looked.

Green grass, a nice small pond, a stone path, and a humble sized home.

Ryo had entered his house, taking his shoes off and placing them aside. Sonic himself noticed that other shoes were placed with the young boy's and figured that he should do the same.

He quickly removed his own pair and placed them down, something Ryo took note of, "I appreciate you doing that."

"No prob, guess you don't like tracking dirt in your home or something," Sonic said.

"It's part of the reason," Ryo said. "Oh, by the way, do you have a personal preference when it comes to food? I suppose I should have asked before; I don't even know if you can eat human food."

"Well just out of curiosity, what would you feed a hedgehog?" Sonic asked.

"Honestly, I don't really know," Ryo said. "When I told my housekeeper though, she suggested cat food, but considering you can walk and talk like me, I figured you might not be an ordinary hedgehog, and I thought it best not to assume you share a similar diet."

"Smart move, I'm not much for cat food," Sonic said. "My favorite meal is Chili Dogs."

"Chili Dogs...I'm afraid we lack the resources to make you one," Ryo said.

"That's fine, I'm flexible, and not too picky," Sonic said. "Plus you're being nice enough to give me food, it'd be pretty scummy to complain."

"Well, it is good to know you eat human foods, so far," Ryo said. "Do you have other preferences?"

"I do like pizza, and burgers," Sonic said. "Oh, and those meat dumplings, those are pretty tasty."

"We can have meat dumplings prepared," Ryo said. "Would you prefer them fried or as is?"

"Never tried them fried, but I'm willing to give that a shot," Sonic said.

"Very well," Ryo said. "Perhaps later we can go to a pizzeria, there's one I'm quite fond of, and I know the owner. He actually moved here from his home country."

"Speaking of country, what is this one called?" Sonic asked. "Are there more humans like you?"

"This is Japan, and yes, there are mostly humans, just like the rest of this world" Ryo said. "Might be a few creatures like yourself, but I seldom see any in person."

"Might need more info out of you, this is all a head trip," Sonic said.

"Let us eat, then I can introduce you to my father," Ryo said. "I should warn you; my family may not speak English very well."

"English?" Sonic asked. "You mean what we're speaking now. It's fine, in my travels in my world, I picked up on a few languages, hopefully whatever you're saying I can pick up on fast."

"I have a guidebook," Ryo said, passing a book to Sonic. "I've been learning English myself; my father insists that learning a second language is important, and given how often Japan interacts with America, it is good to be able to communicate."

"Sounds good to me," Sonic said, placing the book away.

After breakfast, Sonic sat in the living room of the household, joined by Ryo, his housekeeper Ine Hayata, a disciple named Fukuhara Masayuki and the head of the Hazuki household, Iwao Hazuki.

Sonic glanced around the room, everyone was sitting very still, on their knees too no less, which he attempted to mimic, though the position was quite unusual. Though the silence in the air was strange to him, as even during breakfast no one spoke a word, they just silently ate.

Right now Sonic wasn't sure if he should speak now, but even then he didn't know how to lead the conversation, making him feel a bit uncomfortable.

"So..." Iwao began, finally breaking the awkward silence. "Ryo, you say you found this...creature, in our garden late last night?"

"He is a hedgehog, and yes I did," Ryo said. "He seemed lost and confused, so I offered to bring him into our home."

"Hm...and you do not know where he is from?" Iwao asked.

"No father, I was hoping he could explain a bit with all of us here," Ryo said. "He speaks mostly English however."

"That is fine, I will be able to communicate," Iwao said.

"Alright then," Ryo then turned to the hedgehog. "Sonic, would you mind introducing yourself to my father?"

"Sure..." Sonic said, clearing his throat." Hi, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog, nice to meet you Mr. Hazuki."

"You are well mannered," Iwao said. "Well, let me introduce myself as well. I am Iwao Hazuki, I am the master of this dojo." He turned to the young man next to him, "This is Fukuhara, my disciple."

"Hello," Fukuhara said. "Call me Fuku."

"Hi Fuki," Sonic said, waving to the guy.

"This woman here is my housekeeper, Ine," Iwao said.

"It is a pleasure," Ine said, bowing to Sonic.

"Uh, same," Sonic said, repeating the motion.

"Of course you know my son, Ryo," Iwao said. "But tell me, where are you from? Where is your home?"

"I'm from Christmas Island," Sonic said.

"Christmas Island?" Iwao said. "Like the holiday?

"Holiday? Uh, actually it's in my world, Mobius," Sonic said. "From the sound of things, I'm not on my home planet."

"So, you are an alien then," Iwao said. "Interesting, while we know of aliens on this planet, to think one would be in my home."

"So, aliens are common in this world?" Sonic asked.

"Yes, some good, some evil," Ryo said. "Aliens mostly seem to invade America, but a few have come here, including a couple of them that arrived close to four years ago. They wreaked havoc on a city several miles away, before being driven away."

"That's terrible, who got rid of them?" Sonic asked.

"A group of brave warriors, ones the public do not know about," Ryo said. "A pro hero was there too, the one called Wolverine."

"Pro Hero?" Sonic asked.

"Protectors of this world," Ryo said. "Evil exists north in this planet, and outside. Pro Heroes fight to rid the world of such evil."

"Sounds like this planet has its own share of trouble then," Sonic said. "Wonder if any of them are as bad as Eggman?"

"Eggman?" Ryo asked.

"Evil scientist trying to enslave the citizens of my planet," Sonic said. "He kidnaps little creatures and uses them as batteries for his robots."

"That is inhumane," Ryo said. "Is this scientist a hedgehog like you?"

"No, he's a human," Sonic said. "One of the only humans I know."

"A human? From this world?" Ryo asked.

"Not sure, he's been on my planet for as long as I can remember," Sonic said. "I don't know where he came from, but I do know he attempted to overthrow the King of my world once. Fortunately me and a friend of mine were able to stop him, with help from strange guests."

"You fought this scientist?" Iwao asked.

"Yeah, amazing since I was like five when it happened," Sonic said. "But I drove him off and since then, I've been there to thwart all of his plans. No matter how many times he tried taking over, I was there to stop him."

"So, you are a hero then," Ryo said.

"Eh, not sure if I would say that, I'm not really out looking for villainy to thwart," Sonic said. "I just can't stand by and do nothing if I see something bad happening."

"Sounds like a hero to me," Ryo said.

"Actually, Eggman might be the reason I'm stuck here," Sonic said. "When I destroyed a machine of his that he was using to take over in his latest scheme, something happened that sent me and...wait..." Sonic began to worry. "Uh, Ryo, was I the only one you found last night?"

"Yes, you were the only one, why?" Ryo asked.

"What about my friends?" Sonic wondered. "Where's Tails? And Amy? And Cream?"

"More of you?" Iwao asked.

"Yeah, some of my friends were nearby when that blast went off, they might be in danger!" Sonic shouted in worry, quickly standing up. "Hey thanks for the hospitality, but I gotta go!"

"Wait up!" Iwao said, but Sonic dashed away too fast, taking everyone by surprise as they were knocked back in the gust of wind.

"That was impressive," Ryo said, getting on his feet. "He must have superspeed."

"He should not be out there alone," Iwao said.

"How would we keep up with him though, sensei?" Fuku asked.

"That...I admit will be an arduous task," Iwao said.

Sonic was seen rushing around the rooftops of Yokosuka, trying to see if there was any sign of his friends nearby.

"Ugh, where could they be?" Sonic said, thinking to himself. "Tails and Amy weren't near me when we got transported, were they affected by the radius? But that would mean Cream would have been next to me when she got warped, and so would...Eggman!" Sonic looked back toward the Hazuki estate. "Surprised he didn't end up there, but that means he could be anywhere."

Sonic dashed off again, being noticed solely by one girl in a white sweater, "Huh? Who or what could that have been?"

A few minutes later, Ryo was seen in town, asking several of the townsfolk about Sonic, "Have any of you seen a hedgehog with blue fur?"

"Hedgehog?" a guy named Tom asked. "No sorry, if you're missing your pet, you should probably put up some posters."

"It's not really a pet, just a lost hedgehog I found in my garden," Ryo clarified.

"Well I haven't seen one," Tom said.

"I see, thank you though," Ryo replied, quickly bowing to the man.

"Ryo?" Came the voice of a familiar girl.

"Nozomi," Ryo greeted. "Hey, would you mind if I asked you something?"

"Is it about that hedgehog?" Nozomi asked. "Because I think I saw him before."

"You have?" Ryo asked. "Do you know where he went?"

"No sorry, he was suddenly gone," Nozomi said. "I've never seen anything like it before."

"Hey is this one of those freaky quirk animals?" Tom asked. "Better watch out for those, might try to take over the human race."

"I don't think he would do that," Ryo said.

"Come on man, it's a joke," Tom said.

"Oh, sorry," Ryo said. "I suppose I should keep looking. I'm worried about where he could end up, he's not familiar with this part of the world." "He may not be familiar with this world at all."

Sonic continued dashing around the nearby area, finding no signs of his friends or enemies. "Where could they be? I'm getting worried." As he ran he had to come to a quick stop the moment he nearly fell off a cliff into the water below. "Whoa, whoa, WHOA!" Swinging his arms, he regained his balance. "Close one...still."

Sonic thought to his friends, wondering if they were even safe, if by some luck they themselves found a nice family to take them in. At the same time, he had to worry that they might be frightened, unsure of how to navigate around this new world.

He also shudders to think what Eggman could be up to, along with any nefarious scheme the sinister doctor had in mind. He knows his fight with the doctor is not yet over and can tell that there's more to come soon.

Most of all, he was curious where the Chaos Emeralds could be, and wondered if those mystical items could bring him and his friends back home, once he finds them at least.

Though, as much as he wanted to continue, he wasn't having much luck on his own. It didn't help that he was unfamiliar with this layout.

"Probably should get a map or something, might be easier to guide my way around..." Sonic looked back toward the direction of the town he was in. "Plus, I did kind of leave Ryo and his family without pretty abruptly. They might be worried; I probably should go back."

In town, Ryo was still looking for Sonic, checking in with everyone he could regarding Sonic. As he strolled through town, he came across the local thug Enoki, the brute enjoying a bit of ice cream when he spotted the boy.

"Hazuki!"

Ryo grimaced at the sound of the bully's voice. "Don't bother me, I don't have time for you."

"Aw come on, don't be like that," Enoki said, standing in his path. "Here I thought we were chums, and I wanted to...catch up."

"Move, now," Ryo warned.

"Or what? You think you're all tough, huh?" Enoki asked, getting in Ryo's face. "Think because your daddy has a fancy dojo that makes you better than me? Or anyone else for that matter?"

"Is there a point to this or are you just rambling?" Ryo asked.

Enoki grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him close, "You really piss me off sometimes, makes me wanna clobber that smug look off your face."

"Final warning, back off," Ryo said, his patience wearing thin. "If you don't leave my sight, your face will be on the floor."

"That's it!" Enoki went for a punch with his free hand but Ryo was quick to move his head out the way and knee Enoki in the side and did a roundhouse kick to the thug's head. He tried for another punch but Ryo sidestepped and kicked his back.

As he turned around again, Ryo did a spinning back hand to Enoki's stomach and a jumping kick to his head, knocking him against the door of a nearby tavern.

"Are you done?" Ryo asked as Enoki scurried off.

"You...you just got lucky, that's all!" Enoki said, scurrying off. "It won't be so easy next time!"

Ryo groaned in annoyance as he readied to continue his search, but was surprised when he spotted Sonic on the roof of a building, having observed the fight. "You handled yourself pretty well."

"There you are," Ryo said, feeling relieved that he found Sonic. "Where were you? You had me and my family worried."

"Sorry, I overreacted a bit before," Sonic said. "My friends got transported here and I guess I was desperate to find them."

"That's understandable, but running off like that is dangerous, you could have gotten hurt," Ryo said.

Something about that line felt familiar to Sonic, the hedgehog now awkwardly shrugging off the situation, "Sorry about that. Still, great job handling that guy."

"How much of it did you see?" Ryo asked.

"I showed up when he looked ready to punch you," Sonic said. "I was gonna help but then I saw you using those cool moves."

"It's a form of martial arts that my father taught me," Ryo said. "Hazuki Style, a mix of Karate and Jujitsu."

"That's pretty cool," Sonic said, leaping down. "So, think that guy learned his lesson?"

"Doubtful, he's always trying to pick a fight with me, likely out of insecurity," Ryo said. "Usually he has lackeys around too, guess I was lucky he was alone. I probably could have taken on him and a friend though, they're tough but they lack martial arts discipline."

"No doubt," Sonic said.

"Listen, why don't we head back?" Ryo said. "I know you're worried but-"

"Ryo!" Came the voice of Nozomi, the girl running over. "Ryo, you won't believe what everyone just found!" She then took note of the nearby Sonic. "It's you, I saw you earlier on the roof."

"Nice to meet you," Sonic said, waving a bit.

"Sonic, maybe you should go back to my house while I see what Nozomi wants," Ryo said.

"Actually, he should come too," Nozomi said. "He might know that girl we found."

"What girl?" Sonic asked.

"She looks like a giant rabbit or something," Nozomi said. "She's not alone, she's also holding some small creature."

"That sounds like Cream and Cheese!" Sonic said. "I knew they were around!"

"Cream and Cheese?" Ryo asked, the boy scratching his head. He knew enough English to know that pair of names made for one interesting pun. "Well, let's hurry and find them."

Near the edge of town, Cream and Cheese were both on a billboard, the two holding each other close.

"Please, don't hurt us! We're scared!" Cream bellowed.

"What could that be?" a citizen asked.

"Think it's a girl with a rabbit quirk, or an actual rabbit?" another citizen asked.

"Might be connected to those bright lights," another citizen said.

A fireman was seen climbing the ladder, trying to reach the girl, "I got you."

"Wh-who are you!?" Cream shouted. "Mama told me not to talk to strangers!"

"Don't worry, I'm just going to bring you down," the fireman said. "You'll be safe little girl."

Sonic finally arrived with Ryo and Nozomi, "There they are!"

"Huh, it is a rabbit," Ryo said. "What's that blue thing?"

"A chao," Sonic explained, about to speed off again.

"Hey, what are you planning?" Ryo asked.

"I'm going to get my friend," Sonic said.

"You can't just rush in there, you'll draw too much attention to yourself," Ryo said. "Plus you're technically not supposed to use your powers in public."

"What are you trying to say?" Sonic asked.

"I don't know how things work on your planet, but here, you can't use your powers at your own whim, you need a special license to do that," Ryo said.

"Pfft, forget that," Sonic said. Just as Ryo was about to stop him, Sonic dashed off again, leaving a gust of wind behind that knocked Ryo and Nozomi back, distracting the crowd a moment.

"What was that!?" A male citizen asked.

"Why did it get so windy all of a sudden?" a woman asked.

As the fireman got closer to Cream, Sonic immediately sped in front of him, wagging his finger, "I got this."

"What in the world?" The fireman asked.

"Mr. Sonic!?" Cream asked as Cheese went to hug the hedgehog, this getting the attention of the crowd.

"Good to see you too, Cheese," Sonic bashfully said. "Let's go Cream!"

In a split second, Sonic had taken Cream as well and dashed off the billboard, gone as soon as he arrived.

"Hey, where did that rabbit go?" the fireman asked.

"What was that blue creature?" a woman asked.

"Something weird is going on, someone should call a Pro Hero," a man said.

As Ryo stood back up, he saw Sonic on a nearby roof, gesturing to his home as he dashed off again along with Cream and Cheese.

"This is going to be a headache," Ryo said as he started making his way back home.

"Wait for me," Nozomi said, following her friend.

At the Hazuki household, Sonic had brought Cream to the door, "Take your shoes off before going inside, house rule."

"Okay," Cream said, obeying what she was told. "Where are we?"

"A friend's house," Sonic said. "Come, let's meet his family."

A few minutes later, Ryo had finally gotten home, the boy looking a bit out of breath, "Wish he didn't just leave me behind like that."

"I think he was just worried about that girl," Nozomi said, somewhat exhausted too.

"Understandable, but still reckless," Ryo said. "Someone probably called the police because he used his powers in public."

"He meant no harm," Nozomi said. "Still, I am curious about him now, this could be a chance to get to know him. What exactly is he again? I know he's a hedgehog, but how much more than that is there?"

"Aside from being an alien, there's much even I'm not sure about," Ryo said, opening up his door. "Come on."

Once inside, they could spot Cream in the kitchen, enjoying some miso soup courtesy of Ine while Sonic relaxed in a corner.

"Hey Ryo!" Sonic greeted. "Welcome back."

"Did you seriously just say that?" Ryo asked. "You're aware what you just did out there, aren't you?"

"I helped a friend, that's all that matters to me," Sonic said. "I have a feeling you would have done the same."

"Is this that friend you mentioned, Mr. Sonic?" Cream asked.

"Yeah, that's Ryo Hazuki," Sonic said.

Cream turned her attention to the boy, doing a quick bow, "It's nice to meet you Mr. Hazuki, my name is Cream, and this is my friend Cheese."

"Chao," Cheese greeted.

"Oh um, Mr. Hazuki is my father," the boy replied. "You can just call me 'Ryo'."

"I am Nozomi Harasaki," the girl beside him introduced, bowing in respect.

"You're pretty, are you two dating?" Cream asked.

"Oh my," Nozomi said, chuckling to herself as Ryo awkwardly looked away. Sonic could feel that awkwardness from where he was.

"She's just a friend from school," Ryo insisted.

Nozomi turned her attention to the hedgehog, "So, your name is Sonic?"

"Yeah," Sonic nodded. "Nice to meet you."

"Where are you from exactly?" Nozomi asked.

"Planet Mobius," Sonic said.

"Mobius? That's new" Nozomi said. "What's your planet like? Are there any humans or are you all animals?"

"I don't think they count as animals in their world," Ryo said.

"Oh, right, sorry," Nozomi replied. "I just wasn't sure how to address them."

"The only human I remember is Doctor Eggman...and if Cream's here, that definitely means Eggman might be too," Sonic said.

"He might be planning something bad again," Cream said.

"Chao, chao," Cheese agreed.

"Which means I need to find and stop him," Sonic said.

"It might be dangerous, how about I call a pro hero agency and have them handle it?" Ryo asked.

"A pro what?" Sonic asked.

"In this world, we have what we call 'Pro Heroes'," Ryo explained. "They're humans with special abilities, they protect others."

"Most humans in this world are born with special powers," Nozomi said.

"Oh, that's nice," Cream said. "Do you two have powers?"

"Well, I don't," Nozomi said. "Ryo however, he's a very gifted martial artist."

"That's not a power, it came from training," Ryo said. "I do not have any special abilities beyond that."

"Well, my speed's enough to stop Eggman," Sonic said.

"It's against the law to use your speed," Ryo said. "If you get caught, you could get arrested."

"Sorry, but I gotta do things my way," Sonic said. "Eggman's my fight, I can't just ask someone else to take over."

"At least let us help," Ryo said. "Tell us what he looks like."

Meanwhile in an abandoned tower off the coast of an island, Eggman is seen observing his monitor, "I see...so we were transported into this world because of the Chaos Emeralds."

"It would appear so," came the voice of Orbot.

"It's so bright, and watery," Cubot said.

"It makes no difference to me, I will establish my Eggman Empire in this world, before moving on to others," Eggman said. "First I need to select a robot to take over the nearby town."

"I shall get your list," Orbot said.

"Do that, tell Bocoe and Decoe to standby," Eggman said. "Cubot, find Scratch and Grounder, send them to do a little reconnaissance."

"Sure...whatever that is," Cubot said.

"Just tell them to be ready to explore!" Eggman ordered, sending his two robots away, focusing on his task ahead.

Meanwhile in the sewers underneath a nearby city, Knuckles and Amy were seen walking along to stay out of everyone's sight.

"Stupid Sonic, it's his fault we're stuck here," Knuckles said.

"It's not Sonic's fault, Eggman's the real reason we're in this mess," Amy said.

"This happened because Sonic got reckless," Knuckles said.

"What makes you say that?" Amy asked.

"Because that's how it always happens," Knuckles said. "Sonic's always been reckless."

"I really hate when you say mean things about Sonic," Amy said, the girl folding her arms in annoyance.

"Fine, go off on your own," Knuckles said, making his leave.

"Huh? Wait, don't leave me behind!" Amy said, trying to keep up with him. "Geez, you're so stubborn sometimes."

Meanwhile at a beach, while everyone was playing, surfing and having a fun time, the duo of Scratch the Robot Chicken and Grounder the Walking Arsenal were watching from the distance, each through a pair of binoculars.

"So many of them, the creatures of this world sure do look like the doctor, only less egg shaped," Scratch said.

"Uh, I think we need to get closer," Grounder said, squinting his eyes. "They're too far away."

"You moron! You're looking through the wrong end!" Scratch scolded.

"Huh?" Grounded flipped the binoculars around, "Oh, much better."

Scratch rolled his eyes as spoke into the radio, "The beach is full of natives, but I don't think that will stop your surprise Doctor."

"Good, now for the fun to begin," Eggman said, fulling activating his chosen machine. "E-23, get to work."

As everyone was seen enjoying their time at the beach, a few beach goers noticed that something was moving in the water. Within moments, Eggman's robot began to emerge, startling everyone present.

E-23 stood for a moment, analyzing its surroundings as the citizens continued to stare in confusion. Eventually they began screaming in terror and steering clear from the water. The robot then used it's rocket shaped fists to destroy the area in front of it, including several cars, leaving nothing but explosions.

"Aha! Yes! Show them my great intelligence E-23!" the evil doctor boasted as he floated over on his carrier, joined by Orbot and Cubot. "Show them the might of Doctor Eggman!"

This whole thing did not go unnoticed by a certain twin tailed fox who had been flying his plane, The Tornado 2 nearby, "That's not good, I thought I had a little more time before Eggman showed up. He really works fast even in a whole different world. I gotta think of a way to slow that machine down!"

Eggman's robot continued to destroy parts of the city, many policemen trying to put a stop to it, but their weapons were no match. A few pro heroes went to stop it, but the robot was too strong, it ended up knocking them away.

"Are these the only pros?" a policeman asked.

"The ones nearby, we're calling for more," another policeman said. "With any luck, All Might himself will be here."

Eggman followed above his robot as it destroyed everything, "Yes! That's my robot, show them all who's boss!"

"Is that your robot!?" a hero from below shouted.

"Why yes it is, thanks for noticing," Eggman boasted. "Now bow before me or be trampled by it's awesome power!"

Down below in the sewers, Amy continued to follow Knuckles.

"Can't we stop to take a break?" Amy asked.

"Hey no one's asking you to follow me," Knuckles said. "Take a break if you want, it makes no difference to me."

Amy puffed out her cheeks in annoyance, but she didn't want to hold this against Knuckles, even if he was being rude. "I shouldn't leave him by himself, he could end up in trouble." She decided to change the conversation a little, "So...do you think we'll be able to get back to our own world?"

"I don't 'think', I 'know', "Knuckles said. "We have to get back, I have a duty to fulfill to the Master Emerald, and I am not letting anything get in my way."

"I know but..." Suddenly the ground started shaking, startling Amy. "What's going on?"

"An Earthquake?" Knuckles wondered. "Or something else."

Above ground, the mayhem continued.

"E-22, attack from the roof, really let this city have it," Eggman said.

"Affirmative," E-23 said, heading to a roof to continue his assault.

"He's really going all out, huh?" Cubot said.

"All this attention has garnered a crowd," Orbot noted.

"Oh goody, let's get this on the air, shall we?" Eggman said, generating a screen from his Egg Mobile Dashboard.

Meanwhile in Yokosuka, Cream was seen watching a little TV set while Fuku came in with a pie. "Got the pizza."

"Thank you, Fuku-san," Ryo said. "Sonic, Cream, Cheese, hope you're hungry."

"Thanks," Sonic said.

"Wait for me," Cream was about to stand up when the monitor was acting strangely. "Huh?"

"Something wrong?" Ryo asked.

"I knew that little TV was a piece of junk," Fuku said.

Suddenly an image came on screen, one that immediately spooked Cream as she flew into Nozomi's arms, confusing the girl, "Cream? What's wrong?"

"Who is that man?" Ryo asked.

"Eggman," Sonic said, focused on the monitor.

"People of the world listen" Eggman began. "I am Doctor Eggman, and I will be establishing my New Empire in this world, effective immediately. Prepare to bow to your new ruler!"

"Where is this?" Sonic asked.

"Looks like Kanagawa, it's a half hour away by car," Ryo said.

"Which direction?" Sonic asked.

"North of here, but don't-" before Ryo could finish, Sonic had already dashed off. "Leave alone..."

"That is one impatient hedgehog," Fuku said.

"I'm going after him," Ryo said. "Nozomi, please watch over Cream and Cheese while I'm gone."

"Wait, you can't leave Mr. Ryo," Cream said. "You could get hurt!"

"I can't abandon a friend," Ryo said, making his way out the door.

"Ryo wait! It's not safe!" Ine turned to Iwao. "Do something about your son!"

"Ryo, I must agree," Iwao said. "That fight looks dangerous, and you were not born with a special ability."

"Maybe not, but that won't stop me," Ryo said, making his way out the door.

"Son wait!" Iwao groaned in annoyance. "That boy is determined."

"You're just gonna let him go?" Ine asked.

"He is a man, there is little I can do to sway him," Iwao said. "I pray he will be fine."

"We should all go after him," Fuku said. "He can't get far by himself."

"I'll get him!" Cream said, immediately flying off.

"Cream wait!" Nozomi called.

As Ryo was about to hail for a cab, he heard Cream call to him. "Mr. Ryo!"

"Cream?" Before he could turn around, Cream lifted Ryo by his jacket. "What are you-"

"If you want to catch up with Mr. Sonic, you can't rely on a car," Cream said, picking up speed. "Hold on tight!"

"Wait, Cream!" the Rabbit girl then took off in super speed with Ryo, leaving an amazed Nozomi behind just as she was about to catch up.

"I need to find a ride," Nozomi looked around to see what she could use to her advantage.

Meanwhile a young man with brown hair, and a UA High School Uniform had taken note of the impending attack, and Eggman's message. "Great, another mad scientist supervillain. I don't have my costume but that doesn't matter, I gotta get to that part of town fast."

"This is your last chance city!" Eggman warned, his robot still destroying stuff and fighting off all the heroes who did their best to slow it down. "Surrender and I will call off my robot!"

"Eggman!" came Tails's voice, the fox flying by the scientist.

"Oh goody, it's Tails," Eggman sarcastically stated, then turned to his robot. "E-22, destroy that nuisance!"

The robot went after Tails, using its Missile Wrist attacks, trying to knock away Tails's plane.

"You won't get rid of me that easily!" Tails said, activating the guns on his plane and firing at the robot. Unfortunately it did not work, the bullets had bounced off. "The Armor's too thick!"

The robot then punched Tails's plane, the boy quick to adjust his plane into Jet Mode and continued flying around.

On the ground, Knuckles and Amy could see that Tails was doing battle against the robot, the latter looking very worried.

"Oh no, Tails is in trouble!" Amy said. "Knuckles, we gotta do something!"

"This isn't my problem," Knuckles said.

"Ugh, you're so stupid sometimes!" Amy shouted and ran into the building.

"Amy, wait! It's not safe!" Knuckles groaned in annoyance. "Damn that girl is stubborn."

"Take that fox down already!" Eggman shouted, trying to get his robot to destroy the Tornado 2.

"I must say, Tails is quite the admirable pilot," Orbot said.

"Yeah, and he flies well too," Cubot added.

Meanwhile Knuckles had quickly climbed to the roof of the building, "Alright, time for a strategy." As he marched toward the robot, he saw that Amy had taken the elevator. "Took you long enough."

Amy brought her hammer out and dashed at the robot, "Stop bullying Tails!" She slammed her hammer on the leg, but it had no effect and she found herself in its grasp. "AAAHHH!"

"Amy!" Knuckles was about to attack when Eggman blocked his path.

"Take another step and it's over for your pink friend," Eggman threatened.

"Put her down or you'll regret it!" Knuckles warned.

"The only thing I regret is knowing you're all still alive!" Eggman said. "Except for Sonic perhaps?"

"Sonic's still alive, I can tell!" Amy shouted. "He'll be here to-AUGH!"

"Quiet you!" Eggman warned.

"That's it!" Knuckles leapt to attack but the robot had whacked him out of the way.

"Knuckles!" Tails focused his attention to E-23. "I gotta save Amy."

Tails attempted to ram his plane into E-23 but the robot managed to stop him and aggressively flung the plane against a nearby building, Tails being quick to fly out before impact.

"That was close!" Tails then took a punch from the robot's missile wrist, knocking him through a building.

"Another one down, this world is as good as mine," Eggman said.

"Not so fast!" Sonic said, appearing on the roof nearby.

"Sonic! So you are alive!" Eggman shouted.

Offering only a smirk, Sonic spin dashed into the robot as it instinctively threw Amy aside and used its newly free hand to send a missile wrist attack at Sonic, the hedgehog swiftly dodging and running in with a kick to the face, knocking it off the roof and crashing to the ground below.

"Why you!" Eggman shouted. "You won't survive this."

"You sure about that?" Sonic mocked.

As the robot laid for a moment, both Scratch and Grounder ran to its side, hoping to help.

"Get up! You can't lose to that hedgehog like this!" Scratch shouted.

"Uh yeah, you're supposed to crush him!" Grounder said.

The two then saw that Sonic had made his way to street level, coyly grinning at the two robots.

"There he is! Him and that smug grin! Doesn't it make you want to clobber him!?" Scratch shouted. "Get back on your feet!"

"Must, destroy, hedgehog," E-23 said, sending his missile wrists at Sonic, the hedgehog again dodging. Sonic then hit another spindash attack, going off its chest and then hit a homing attack to the head, the robot accidentally sending out its missile wrist, hitting a building in the process.

Debris then fell off the building, heading right to an unsuspecting Amy right below it, the girl still recovering from what happened.

"Amy!" Knuckles called out in worry, the girl looking up and seeing the debris.

Before anything, she was whisked out of the way, not by Sonic, but by this mysterious boy with brown hair, having brought her to safety. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Huh?" Amy looked up at the boy, "Uh yeah, I'm fine."

The boy immediately sensed danger but before he could react, he took a missile punch from the robot, Eggman cackling in satisfaction, "That'll teach him to play hero!"

"Oh no!" Amy shouted in worry, then glared at the robot. "How dare you hurt that sweet boy!"

"He looks way more than hurt, little girl," Eggman taunted. "But don't worry, you'll both meet the same demise. Scratch! Grounder! Get her!"

"With pleasure, doctor!" Scratch said as he and Grounder sinisterly approached Amy.

The girl had her hammer out, but before anything she heard Cream's voice, "Amy!"

"Was that Cream?" Amy turned to the side and Saw Cream flying in with Ryo.

"Throw me at one of them," Ryo said. "Quick!"

Cream obeyed as Ryo was flung to Scratch, the boy kicking the robotic chicken in the head as Cream flew in and kicked Grounder back as well.

"That was a strong..." Ryo held his stomach, the boy feeling a bit woozy. "Kick..."

"Are you alright?" Cream asked. "I tried not to go too fast."

"I'm fine, I'm just...trying to catch my bearings," Ryo said, shaking it off. "I had no idea you could reach those speeds; it was a bit terrifying to be honest, but exhilarating."

"Chao!" Cheese said, catching up.

"Cheese said you handled yourself well," Cream translated.

"Uh, thank you Cheese," Ryo said.

"Excuse me, but who is this boy?" Amy asked. "How do you know him Cream?"

"That's a friend of mine, he's letting me and Mr. Sonic stay at his house," Cream explained, then turned to the boy. "Mr. Ryo, this is my friend."

"I'm Amy Rose, it's nice to meet you," Amy said.

"I am Ryo Hazuki," the boy said. "Are you close with Sonic?"

"Oh yes, he's my true love," Amy said, a blush appearing on the girl's face.

"True love? So you and him are dating?" Ryo asked.

"Well, not yet," Amy sheepishly admitted. "But one day we will be together, until then I stay by his side."

"Your devotion sounds admirable. I wish you luck then," Ryo said.

"Ahem!" Eggman shouted, getting their attention. "Are you done with the introductions? You know you should be lucky I'm such a patient scientist, otherwise-"

"Can it Eggman! Don't think I've forgotten that you're trying to destroy the town!" Amy shouted. "How many worlds must you terrorize!?"

"As many as it takes until I have my Eggman Empire," the villain said.

"It's his dream that will never come true," Sonic said.

"Hey! I heard that!" Eggman shouted as his robot once again went for the offense.

Sonic dodged out the way, landing a safe distance from the robot as he calculated his next move. Shortly afterward, he was joined by Tails and Knuckles, both of them ready to fight by Sonic's side.

"Might need some teamwork here," Tails said.

"Unfortunately," Knuckles commented.

"Alright, let's do this then," Sonic said as he, Tails and Knuckles prepared a final attack. With electricity generating around them, each of the trio charged up a spin dash.

Once the three gained enough momentum, they dashed into the robot, hitting it right in the chest, hard enough to go right through the robot, to the shock of Eggman and the relief of Amy, Cream, Cheese and Ryo.

The trio then changed course and rammed the robot into the air where it finally exploded, giving the heroes their victory.

"NO!" Eggman shouted in dismay.

"You lose again, Eggman," Tails said.

"Ugh, this isn't over!" Eggman said, taking to the air. "Enjoy your feeble victory for now, soon this world and The Chaos Emeralds will be mine!"

"Hey! Don't forget your two lackeys!" Amy shouted, pulling her hammer out.

"Think she means us?" Grounder asked, and then at that moment, he and Scratch were both whacked by her hammer onto Eggman's Eggmobile as he flew off.

"He got away," Ryo said.

"Don't worry, if he comes back, we'll beat him, just like we always do," Tails said.

"Surprised you made it here," Sonic said.

"Well I got worried about you," Ryo said. "Cream flew me here, the speed was quite intense."

"Yeah, it's fun isn't it?" Sonic said.

"Hey Sonic, who is that?" Tails asked.

"I am Ryo Hazuki," the boy introduced himself with a bow.

"He let me spend the night at his place," Sonic said.

"Oh, thanks for looking after my friend then," Tails said. "My name is Miles Prower, but you can call me 'Tails'."

Amy turned to the sole Echidna of the group, "Go on, introduce yourself."

"...I'm Knuckles," the Emerald guardian said.

"Nice to meet you," Ryo said, not too sure what to make of Knuckles's attitude.

Amy's eyes then widened in worry, "Wait, that boy!" She turned to the crater, "I hope he's not too hurt."

Before she could go see him, a portal opened nearby, courtesy of a purple haired girl as a few other UA Students followed her through the portal. "Peter!"

Everyone checked on the boy, the last one out of the portal being Johnny Storm. "Looks like we missed the action."

Cream got Amy's attention, "I think they'll be able to help him, right now we should be going."

"Yes, I hear police sirens," Ryo said. "Come on, we'll all go back to my house. Amy, Tails and Knuckles can say there as well."

"Count me out," Knuckles said, making his exit.

"Knuckles, wait up!" Amy called, though the Echidna was quick to leave, leaving Amy annoyed. "So stubborn!"

"Should we be worried?" Ryo asked.

"Knuckles always does his own thing," Sonic said.

"He'll be fine, he's used to surviving on his own," Tails said.

"I just wish he wasn't so stubborn, we should all be together during something like this," Amy said.

"Can't be helped," Sonic said. "We should head back, besides that pizza's probably getting cold."

"Pizza sounds great, but first I gotta check on my plane, make sure it's still working," Tails said, going to find his Tornado 2 while everyone else cleared out of the way.

Johnny had taken note of that group, curiously rubbing his chin.

"You know them?" a rainbow haired girl asked.

"No, it's nothing Dash," Johnny said. "Let's just make sure Peter's alright."

Back in the present, Sonia was still seen listening to the story, completely in awe. "So that's how you ended up on Earth? And how you met Ryo Hazuki?"

"Sure is," Sonic said.

"It's also the first time I met Peter Parker," Amy said. "One of the nicest boys on Earth."

"Things were really chaotic that day, but it was the start of our lives on Earth," Sonic said. "We still had to deal with Eggman, and figure out what to do regarding the Chaos Emeralds."

"So, were you the only ones that got transported?" Sonia asked.

"There were a few others, they didn't show up until later," Amy said. "It wasn't even just Mobians either, locations started getting transported as well."

"Yeah, things really took a strange course when Angel Island came to Earth," Sonic said.

"Oh! Tell me about that too!" Sonia shouted, then felt her stomach rumbling. "Dang, betrayed by my hunger."

"Lets go home first, I'll cook us some dinner," Amy said.

"Sounds good to me," Sonic said. "We'll tell you about Angel Island and Chaos another time."

"Chaos!?" Sonia excitedly stated. "Sounds awesome!"

"It is," Sonic said. "Race you home."

"You're on!" Sonia shouted, the two dashing off.

"Sonic! Sonia!" Amy shouted in annoyance. "For a hedgehog that doesn't like racing he sure loves enabling Sonia's competitive nature. But I suppose it's just Sonic wanting our child to have fun." Amy began to charge up, electricity sparking around herself, ready to use her own speed to catch up with the two rowdy hedgehogs as she herself dashed off in their direction.

Back at Sally's castle, the Queen had finished her bath, and much as she wanted to maintain her state of relaxation, she knew she had more duties to fulfill.

"I gotta get back to work, this country isn't going to run itself," Sally made her way to her office, while inside she could spot Whisper leaving some cups. "What's this?"

"Oh, you're finished," Whisper said. "I had a feeling you'd be going back to work, so I left you some tea to keep your mind in a calmer state."

"I appreciate that, thanks," Sally said. "Wish I could have gotten some more work done, but watching over Sonia takes a lot of time and energy, especially when she sleeps over."

"You enjoy her presence though, do you not?" Whisper asked.

"Of course, I'm always happy to have her around," Sally said. "I just wish Manik felt the same."

"I believe he does, he's just good at hiding his emotions, not unlike a certain Queen," Whisper said.

"Huh? What does that mean?" Sally asked.

"Do not let my facial expressions fool you," Whisper said, glancing at Sally through the corner of her eye. "I am quite good at seeing what is not there."

"Uh...right," Sally said, taking her tea. "Well thank you, I appreciate all you do for me and my family."

"It is an honor to serve a Queen as noble as yourself," Whisper said, immediately making her exit.

"That wolf is full of mysteries," Sally said, taking her seat. She quickly glanced out the window, spotting her son Manik trying to do some push-ups while Tangle sat beside him, seemingly trying to encourage him, though he came across as being more annoyed than motivated.

Sally seemed pleased at first, seeing her son working hard at something. He always had that determination to do his best at whatever he was trying to accomplish, but at the same time, Sally wants more for Manik than to just be an heir.

"I need to make more time for Manik, I really want to spend more time with my son but..." Sally sighed in frustration. "I have to keep this Kingdom running smooth. Last thing I want is for him to have to fix any mistakes I made during my tenure. If I can lighten the load then I would have done something good for his future. Maybe he'll even have time to be happy."

Sally looked at a picture on her desk, it was one of her wedding day, a bride in the arms of her groom. The happiest day of her life was when she married Sonic, and she thought she could maintain that happiness. But unfortunately, it was not meant to be, and her Happily Ever After was nothing more than a temporary illusion.

"Sonic, I wish I had been a better wife for you, and it's...great, that you're with someone who could be better..." Sally felt her heart twist as these words left her mouth. "Ugh, what did I do? How did I let him get away? Why couldn't I be better!?" A tear escaped her eye as she did her best to bottle her emotions. "Get it together Sally! You're a Queen, your Kingdom needs you. A Queen must be strong for her people, no matter what happens. I will not let this get the better of me."

Right outside her door, Fiona could be seen leaning against the wall, listening in on Sally's plights. "Typical Sally Acorn, your stubborn attitude rivals that of your former love and his precious flower. So foolish."

An adventure on one end, duty bound on the other, their stories continued.
