Chapter 43
Ghost of the tower
Loud house, living room, nighttime,
the Casagrande's and the McBride's were leaving the house, while the louds were gathering the dishes so they can wash them.
"I'm totes glad that Ronnie Anne won her second gym battle," Leni said.
"Me too, but if Lincoln calls, should we tell him about erica?" Luan asked.
"Maybe, it depends on his call," Rita replied.
"Mom, dad, the three of us have something to say," Lori said, making everyone look at her, Lynn and Lola.
"What is it?" Rita asked.
"We want to make amends with Lincoln by doing his chores," Lori said.
"Buying him new comics," Lynn said.
"And willing to sell some of our stuff, to renovate his room," Lola said, surprising everyone."
"Why do that?" Luna asked.
"Because, we were the worst, I mean we wished something bad happened to him and was happy when he didn't get off the boat in time," Lynn replied.
"And we don't deserve our stuff," Lola said.
"We want to start over, and this is where we want to start.
the family was speechless by the three's response but understood what they were saying.
Vermillion city, Pokémon center daytime,
Ronnie Anne was getting her Pokémon healed up while Lincoln was taking care of the egg his gramps gave him.
"I'm so proud of you sis," Bobby said.
"Me too babe," Lincoln said as Ronnie Anne blushed.
"Thanks guys, so where do we go from here?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Well, professor oak told me I should meet this Mr. fuji in a place called lavender town," Lincoln replied.
"where's that?" Clyde asked.
brock pulls out a map showing the kanto region," its right pass the rock tunnel, but keep in mind, it's really dark in there," brock replied.
"Ok then, first, Clyde does his wonder trade with the two oddish, next we use these vouchers to buy bikes, gather supplies, and head to lavender town," Lincoln said making everyone nod.
a beep was heard notifying the group, Ronnie picks up her pokeballs and Eevee lands on her shoulder. after that Lincoln, misty and brock show Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Bobby the wonder trade room and explained how it works.
"So, I just put them right here then push the button?" Clyde asked. Lincoln nods as Clyde puts his two pokeballs into the machine.
once he did, he presses the button as the machine sends the two pokeballs away, two seconds later, a luxuryball and a duskball appeared out of the machine.
"Cool a luxury ball and a duskball," Lincoln said.
"a what?" Bobby asked.
"Oh yeah, I never told you guys, there are different kinds of pokeballs, they're helpful to catch Pokémon, like for certain types of Pokémon," Lincoln explained.
"Cool, I bet we'll find some in the store," Ronnie Anne said.
"Welp, let's see what I got," Clyde said as he released two cat Pokémon.
the first one was pink cat with a yellow face resembling a moon, the second one is a purple cat standing on two legs," whoa what kind of Pokémon are you two," Clyde wondered pointing his pokedex.
"skitty, the feline Pokémon, a normal type, its fascinated by moving objects and chases them, it is known to chase its own tail and become dizzy from it, although it can be difficult to earn its trust, it is very popular due to its adorable looks and behavior, it knows the moves assist, screech, scratch, and agility," the pokedex explained.
"purrloin, the devious Pokémon, a dark type, opponents that get drawn in by its adorable behavior come away with stinging scratches from its claws and stinging pride from its laughter, this purrloin knows shadow claw, attract, fury swipes, and shadow ball," the pokedex explained.
"Hi, I'm Clyde McBride, I'm your new trainer," Clyde said.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you," skitty said.
"Likewise," purrloin added.
"I hope we can get along and be friends," Clyde said as the two Pokémon nodded and jumped on his shoulders and rubbed his cheeks.
the group head towards the market to buy the supplies mostly flashlights and ropes, they went to the bike shop giving the vouchers to the store owner, thus everyone got their own bikes, they were about to head to the rock tunnel, until the media ambushed them and talked to them mostly Lincoln.
At the rock tunnel entrance,
"Man, those media guys were persistent," Clyde said.
"Well, I'm hoping this will help my sisters and mother will be ok," misty said.
"The same with joy, jenny, and my family," brock said.
"Ok guys, I bought this rope so that no one will get lost, good thing our bikes can be folded so that we can carry them in our backpacks," Lincoln said.
everyone tied themselves together pulled out their flashlights and entered the rock tunnel, going through the tunnel the group encountered many Pokémon, Bobby was able to catch a roggenrola, and Ronnie Anne caught a dunsparce, and they both caught a zubat, Clyde found a helix fossil, after making their way through the tunnel, they made it to lavender town.
"Man, how can anyone handle the rock tunnel?" Lincoln asked.
"One of the perks of being a trainer," brock shrugged.
"Yup, it's part of the journey," misty added.
the group enters Laventure town, only to find it deserted," where is everyone?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah, it's like a ghost town around here," Lincoln said, until a little girl appeared.
"Psst, hey in here quick," the girl said, making the group come inside a house.
"what's going on?" Clyde asked.
"it's not safe out there, because of them," a man replied.
"Them?" Bobby questioned.
"Team rocket," the woman replied.
"Team rocket?!" the group said.
"It all started a couple of weeks ago, lavender town was a place to bury our Pokémon that died into Pokémon tower," the man explained as he points towards the tower.
"We and many other trainers come to visit their Pokémon's graves, until team rocket came, they just showed up and took over the tower, we can't even go to the tower, they keep us away from the tower," the woman explained.
"that's horrible!" misty said.
"that's not all, Mr. Fuji went to face them, but he never came back," the little girl said.
"They probably have him captured by them and holding him hostage," brock said.
Lincoln noticed a Pokémon in the corner, it was small, and it was wearing a skull over its face and holding a bone club.
"Hey what's that Pokémon?" Lincoln asked as he points dexter to it.
"cubone, the lonely Pokémon, a ground type, this Pokémon wears a skull of its deceased mother. sometimes cubone's dreams make it cry, but each tear cubone sheds makes it stronger.
"This cubone just lost is mother to team rocket," the little girl said.
"You mean they captured her?" Ronnie Anne asked.
the girl shook her head," no, they killed her right Infront of cubone," the girl replied, shocking the group.
"They did that?!" Bobby asked.
"Yes, ever since that day cubone kept its distance, until Mr. fuji bonded with him," the girl replied.
looking at cubone Lincoln made a decision," guys, we have to kick team rocket out of that tower," Lincoln said.
"I agree little loud, after hearing this, they deserve a beat down," Bobby said as he punched his hand.
"Me too, they defiled an important memorial place, and that's right," Clyde said.
"it'll be our first fight with them too," Ronnie Anne said.
"not only that, theirs also a ghost that's haunting the tower," the man said.
"a g-ghost?" misty asked.
"Yes, I snuck to the tower one night, and I saw it, I was so scared I ran away," the woman explained.
"Just like are show arrgh," Clyde said.
"Misty and I will stay here in case team rocket attacks," brock said feeling scared.
"Alright, then it's time for operation storm the tower, beat team rocket, face the ghost, save Mr. fuji being captured, and think of a shorter name for operation into action," Lincoln said as the others nod.
"Can you really beat them?" the girl asked.
"We don't know, but we can try," Clyde replied.
Lincoln walks up to cubone," don't worry cubone we'll save Mr. fuji," Lincoln said.
cubone looks at Lincoln with hope in its eyes, as the group head towards the tower.
inside the tower,
Lincoln and the others entered the tower, seeing a lot of gravestones.
"Man, lucy would love to be here," Lincoln said.
"I couldn't agree more buddy," Clyde said.
"This place sure is scary," Bobby said.
"Think positive bro," Ronnie Anne said.
as the group head towards the stairs to enter the next floors, a shadowy Pokémon came out of the shadows watching them," hmm, can he free the tower, help the ghost pass on and save fuji?" the shadowy Pokémon wondered.
on the top floor a couple of team rocket grunts were relaxing until they heard something," did you guys hear that?" one grunt asked.
"Probably that so called ghost, I'll go check it out," the other grunt said, as he grabs a helmet device and heads downstairs.
Back with Lincoln and crew,
Lincoln and the others made it to the fourth floor, hearing strange noises," what was that?" Bobby asked.
"No idea, we'll have to keep an eye out," Ronnie Anne replied, until they were encountered by the ghost of the tower.
"ahhhhhh, a ghost!" Bobby screamed.
"Pikachu use iron tail," Lincoln said.
Pikachu uses iron tail, but he just went right through the ghost and hit the team rocket grunt.
Back at the house,
cubone was having a strange feeling and started to bust out of the house and ran towards the tower," cubone wait," the girl yelled.
Back at the tower,
the gang was looking scared of the ghost," I'm scared," Clyde said.
"Me too buddy," Lincoln said, until he saw the helmet device on the floor next to him, so he grabbed it.
"That rocket grunt had this thing, so it might be useful," Ronnie Anne said.
Lincoln puts it on making the ghost reveal itself as an evolved form of cubone.
"What are you?" Lincoln asked.
"I am marowak, are you with those monsters that separated me from my baby," marowak replied.
"Your baby?" Lincoln asked.
"Mama!" cubone yelled as it ran towards the ghost hugging it.
the ghost marowak hugged cubone making everyone cry," the ghost was cubone's mother worrying about her child," Bobby said.
"Yeah," Lincoln said, as he remembers the time, he was little and got lost in dairy land, and when Rita found him, Lincoln hugged her crying, and she comforted him.
"Miss marowak, your baby was saved by Mr. fuji, but how did you die," Ronnie Anne asked.
"It happened like this," marowak replied.
as she explained, a flashback begins with rocket grunts capturing Pokémon, when cubone was cornered its mother jumped in and fought them, telling her child to run, the last thing she remembered was that the grunt pulled out an electric stick and struck her down, ending the flashback.
"Those guys don't deserve to be human beings," Clyde said in anger.
"don't worry we'll kick them out of the tower and save fuji," Lincoln said.
"Thank you, (looks at cubone), cubone my baby, I'm going to pass on now, but i want grow strong and make friends, and remember I'm always with you," marowak said as she glows green and passes on.
"I will mama, I will," cubbone said.
"Well then cubone, why not join us to free the tower," Lincoln said.
"Yeah," cubone said, as bobby ties up the grunt.
"Alright, lets deal with the other grunts," Bobby said as he and the others continue heading upstairs.
Top floor,
Lincoln and the others made it to the top of the stairs, there they confronted the other rocket grunts and sees Mr. fuji tied up.
"Hey, it's that runt with the white hair!" the first rocket grunt said.
"We heard that you survived the St. Anne, wonder if we'll get a promotion if we bring you to the boss," the other grunt said.
"Well then, you'll have to catch me first you low lives," Lincoln said.
"Oh yeah, let's get them boys," the first grunt said as they released their Pokémon, being an ekans, rattata, zubat, koffing, beedrill, and a geodude.
" Bring it on," Ronnie Anne said as Eevee jumps off her shoulder, same with Pikachu jumping from Lincoln's shoulder, Clyde sends out Sobble, and Bobby sends Sprigatito.
"Careful guys, we don't want to damage this place," Lincoln said.
"Right! the group said, as cubone snuck by and started to untie Mr. fuji.
"If that's the problem, they why don't we trash this place," the first rocket grunt said.
"Not happening!" Lincoln yelled.
as they battled the rocket grunts, Lincoln and the others were making sure the gravestones don't get damaged, during the battle, the shadowy Pokémon was watching the battle. cubone freed Mr. fuji from the ropes, Lincoln and the others defeated the rockets Pokémon sending them towards the grunts.
"And stay down," Lincoln said. sees Mr. fuji," are you ok?"
"Yes, I am, thanks to you and your friends Lincoln," fuji replied.
"How do you know my name?" Lincoln asked.
"Samuel told me about you," fuji replied." he also told me about your mega stones."
"Cool, now then let's tie these losers up," Lincoln said.
"that's what you think," the first rocket grunt said, as he was holding a bomb." you think you won, guess what you haven't, give yourself up and come with us or this blows up."
Lincoln was about to respond, until the shadowy Pokémon appeared and used force palm to knock out the grunt and destroy the bomb.
"Wow, that was awesome, what are you?" Lincoln asked.
"I am marshadow, and it's an honor to meet you Lincoln," marshadow replied." I've been watching you for a long time."
"it's nice to meet you too," Lincoln said." wait you've been watching me, since when?"
"Since your encounter with ho-oh and received the rainbow wing," marshadow replied." I wanted to see if you're worthy of the rainbow wing and you proved it."
"Thanks, marshadow," Lincoln said.
"Also, I wish to join you on your journey," marshadow said, surprising everyone.
"Really?!" Lincoln asked.
"Yes," marshadow replied.
"I don't know what its saying but, if it wants to join you let it," fuji said.
"Ok then," Lincoln said, as he was looking for a pokeball he unknowingly pulled out the red pokeball." oh I forgot I have this pokeball."
"that's a cherisball, a special ball that not many trainers are able to find," fuji said.
"Talk about lucky," Clyde said.
Lincoln uses the cherisball on marshadow sucking it into the ball, and it clicked once." alright I got marshadow," Lincoln cheered.
as the group leave the tower with Mr. fuji carrying cubone, and dragging the tied-up rocket grunts, Lincoln was looking up marshadow.
"marshadow, the gloomdweller Pokémon, a fighting and ghost type, it sinks into the shadows of people and Pokémon, where it can understand their feelings and copy their capabilities. marshadow knows the moves shadow ball, force palm, drain punch, shadow punch, and spectral thief," dexter explained.
"Talk about awesome, I bet professor oak is going to love marshadow at the lab," Bobby said.
"You all should know this, marshadow is a mythical Pokémon," fuji said shocking everyone.
"WHAT?!" they all yelled.
"that's right, like the legendries, mythical Pokémon are rarely seen, and you just have to be lucky to meet one," fuji said as everyone made it to the house.
every citizen cheered for fuji's return, Lincoln explained everything that happened in the tower including the ghost.
"Wow, I'm so glad that cubone was able to see his mother," the girl said.
"I'm more surprised that link caught a mythical Pokémon," brock said.
"at least we can visit our Pokémon's graves again," the man said.
"I'll inform the cops to come pick these crooks up," the lady said as she goes to a phone.
"While that's happening, I have something for you and your friends Lincoln," fuji said as he grabs a box.
"what's this?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"they're important items for your megastones," fuji said as he opens the box, showing 4 little stones.
"These are keystones, they'll help you with your mega stones," fuji said as Lincoln, Clyde, Ronnie Anne, and Bobby grabbed one.
"How so?" Bobby asked.
"you'll know when the time is right," fuji replied, as Lincoln noticed another mega stone revealing it to be a mewtwonite.
"Hey where did you get that mega stone?" Lincoln asked.
"I've had it for years, but you can have it, along with this pokeflute," fuji replied.
"Thanks, Mr. fuji, I can tell this flute will come in handy, welp we better get going," Lincoln said, until he saw cubone holding his leg.
"Hey, what's up with cubone?" Lincoln asked.
"I believe he wants to go with you," the girl replied.
"You really want to go with me?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes, I want to be strong like mama, and I can tell you can help me reach that goal," cubone replied.
"Then welcome to the team cubone," Lincoln said, as he pulls out a friendball and Tapps cubone on the head.
cubone enters the friendball making it click," two Pokémon in one day, talk about lucky," misty said.
At the loud house, Lori and Leni's room, nighttime,
Lori was laying in her bed unable to sleep, thus she was busy looking at her phone reading the comments from her blog.
"I don't buy it, she's just trying to save her social status," one comment said.
"I don't know, maybe she does feel guilty and wants to make amends," carol said.
"I'll believe it when I see it," Whitney said.
"Chaz agrees," Chaz said.
"Me too," Miguel said.
sigh,' if I want to prove that I've changed I have to do something truly big,' Lori thought.
Lana and Lola's room,
Lola couldn't sleep fearing for another nightmare," I really miss linky Mr. sprinkles, but I thought he'll want to talk to me, what should I do?" Lola asked, looking at her stuff bear." are you sure I should reveal my secret to the judges, no your right, even if I get permently banned, it's worth it," Lola said.
That's chapter 43, I got the inspiration from origins, and i could see Lincoln catch cubone and have him catch marshadow, because he was bound to catch one.
next chapter, involves Lori and Lola, but here's my question, should I do one sister or both in the next chapter.
or should I have Lincoln and friends go to the next town.
I forgot to mention, if you guys saw the dream Lincoln had in the previous chapter, who do you think that person that resembles him but has black hair, was it really a dream or the future.
