A day before the events of Capital Punishment and after being saved by a news chopper pilot back in Cut-throat Creek, Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, Nick and their aviator are joined by a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Over the comms, the Army flier, callsign: Searchlight 6, tells the survivors where they currently are and where they need to go for safety.

Searchlight 6: News Chopper 5, this is Searchlight 6. Do you copy, over?

Chopper Pilot: (off comms) Headsets are on. You guys might wanna hear this. (on comms) I copy, Searchlight 6. Go ahead.

Searchlight 6: As we speak, we are flying over Surry, Virginia. Keep following me and I'll take you to Washington D.C. for rescue.

Coach: Sounds good.

Rochelle: I agree, even though I haven't heard much from D.C.

Chopper Pilot: Alright. Lead the way, Searchlight 6.

Ellis: Man, I have NEVER been so happy to see the Army.

Nick: Don't get your hopes up. They might still line us up against the wall and shoot us.

Rochelle: Nick, you gotta think positively. You know negative thinking isn't going anywhere good.

Nick: Yeah, but doubting does. Remember what they said about carriers? We could be flying to our deaths for all I know.

Coach: Okay, now you got me thinking. Nicholas, who are you? Why are you so uneasy when it comes to anything police or military related? What did you do?

But before Coach can question any further, the news chopper pilot starts acting unusual. Seeing the same scenario play out again for the third time, Nick does what needs to be done despite the possibility of not surviving this crash.

Chopper Pilot: Carriers? Uhh... *coughs*

Ellis: Hey, you alright man?

Chopper Pilot: *groans* No... I'm not... immune? *groans*

Rochelle: No, no, no, no, no! You gotta be kidding me!

Chopper Pilot: The radio... *groans* the flare gun... *growls* TAKE THEM AND GET TO SEARCHLIGHT 6—

[bang]

Coach: NOOOO!

Nick: Not again.

Coach, Ellis and Rochelle: *terrified yell*

[crash]

Luckily, Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, Nick, their gear and the news chopper pilot's radio and flare gun survive and are on the parking lot of the Dominion Surry Power Station. In the air, Searchlight 6 saw what happened and then tells them what to do next.

Coach: Everyone alright? Ellis? Rochelle?

Ellis: Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man.

Rochelle: Not this bullshit again.

Searchlight 6: News Chopper 5, come in. Are you there?

Nick: Hey, we're here. Can you see us?

Searchlight 6: Affirmative, but I can't get to you. Landing on terra firma is too dangerous. There's a building with a helipad on the other side of the power station. It's not far. When you get there, call me. It's safer to extract you there. Be advised, the power station is filled with Infected. So be careful, and good luck.

Coach: Okay, we'll be there. Thank you.

Nick: We'll signal you once there. But if you screw us, I will kill you and everyone you love.

Coach: Hey Nick, you gotta pull it together now. I got the flare gun. You hold onto the radio.

Ellis: Nick, seriously?! AGAIN?!

Nick: And again, he was a zombie.

Rochelle: You had to shoot another chopper pilot. You had to make us crash again. God DAMMIT, NICK! THAT'S NOT HELPFUL!

[five second pause]

Coach: Come on, people! Calm down. This ain't it for us yet. *sighs* That power plant it is then. Let's go. This discussion is far from over, Nick. Once we get back up in the air, you are going to tell us who you really are. No more bullshit. You owe us that.

After finding their bearings, the survivors start looking around the parking lot and moving toward the Dominion Surry Power Station. While Nick was left speechless by Coach after he demanded him to reveal his past once rescued.
