Part 2: Hearts and Broncos
Mile High Stadium...
Steed hummed as he cleaned the helmets for the next game, a small smile on his face as his own was next to him. He reached for the next one and-
Steed: *sees the number it belongs to*-*grins; muffled chuckles*
He started cleaning the helmet when-
?: STEED!
Steed ear poke up as he looked over to see the door opened, seeing Ish and Arrow-Head coming in. Seeing the former almost made Steed drop the helmet.
Steed: *shock* Ish...did you, are your-?
Ish: Yeah powers back, but we have a bigger situation here.
Steed: *sets the helmet down;concern* Is everything alright?
Arrow-Head: Yeah. Bolt, that's the situation. We're going to San Diego to see him but the portals are out of wack there. We figure you can help us get to Oakland with Pillage and ride on from there.
Steed nodded immediately.
Steed: Okay, but-*looks at his NFLcomm at a screen* Wind should be calm in an hour-
Arrow-Head: Wind? I thought it's been clear?
Steed: *looks up* Clouds, and not the good kinds. Every time I step out i get shivers down my spine. It's not normal.
Ish thoughts: Okay, that's never good if they are talking about stuff like that.
Ish: Maybe we can get answers when we find Bolt.
Steed: *nods* Best option we have. I'll let the team know what's going on.
Steed went to the phone to make some call.
Steed: You two can relax for a bit in the office. I'll be there with you in a jiffy.
Arrow-head: *smiles* Thanks Steed. Promise to make it up to y-
Steed: *shakes his head* Nonsense, I'm ready to do anything for you guys.
That made the two smile more as they left the room to let Steed talk.
Steed: Hey Coach, it's Steed. Listen, we have a situation and it's not our team. You see-

Ish's mind wander as he looked around the office, taking in the familiar setting from his previous time here...the first time was, bitter.
Ish: *looks around* Have I know this room was his office-
Arrow-head: *comforting* He's gotten better though. Thank goodness.
They heard footsteps as Steed appeared with his helmet back on.
Steed: Thank you for waiting. Team's in the know now-
Steed froze when he saw Ish looking at the screens.
Ish: Still have them here.
Steed immediately knew what he was talking about and got worried.
Ish: It's okay, I'm doing better from that day too.
Steed gave a tiny smile at this.
Steed: I understand, we both were hit hard with what happened that day. It didn't help that I was willing to just, let it all go when the Blitzbot avalanche happened.
Ish shivered, he remembered that day all to well. But he was so happy that he was able to help-
Steed: *small smile;to Ish* You played a huge part that day.
Arrow-Head: We were so worried on how you would react but, when you told us you wanted to help no matter the situation, that not only eased our hearts but warmed it.
Ish slowly smiled as Steed sat down.
Ish: I'm just glad you were going to be okay and I was able to help. I didn't know what was going to happen after all that though.
Steed: Well if I am to be honest, things played out in a very interesting after that day. *smile grows* I had no idea what was going to happen after that, but Stallion had this goofy grin on his face every time I saw him. I asked him what he was hiding, but he told me to just wait for the results and if they come true, I was going to have a good guy helping me soon. Think you remember that day well; March 20, 2012, was when the results came in. And on March 25, he decided to see me-
March 25, 2012...
Steed looked over the the new draftees when he heard his NFLRcomm beeped.
Steed: Hm? *picks up* Hello?
Pat Bowlen (on screen): *smiling* HELLO BRONCO.
Steed: *beaming* Oh hi! What's up Pat? You still happy about the news on this new star we got.
Pat Bowlen (on screen): Well, That's why I calling. I figure you should meet him, we wanted you to meet him once all was set.
Steed: *surprise* R-Really? W-wow, is he here in Denver already?
Pat Bowlen (on screen): Yep! He's at the Buckhorn Exchange and called me to let you know he want's to meet you there.
Steed: *nods* Buckhorn Exchange. Good choice, it is one of the hot spots and a historical site too! I'll head over right away!
Pat smile grew at that, knowing he was in for a huge surprise.

Steed: *smiles* Here we are, *locks bus and walks*. Now then, Pat said he was here waiting, look for the beaming man. Heh, must be a smiley guy, *walks in* Only guy I could think of who is smiley at the top of my head is-
?: HEY STEED!
Steed froze mid-step in the doorway at the voice, he saw PEYTON MANNING at the booth, the waitress smiling.
Peyton Manning: *smiles* Surprise?
...Steed stumbled to the booth nearly crashing, falling and knocking down glasses before he grabbed the table Peyton was at.
Steed: *stunned* H-HELLO!?
Peyton laughed seeing Steed's reaction, the waitress quietly giggling on the side.
Peyton Manning: Oh man, Stallion and the others are gonna be so happy when I tell them your reaction. This is JUST what they wanted!
...
Steed: *awe* I just-YOU CHOOSE US!? I just-how did-so many questions.
Steed was sitting at the Booth with Peyton as the waitress set down the drinks smiling, before she went off to the next table. Steed was still surprised that the person who joined their team was Peyton Manning himself. He had heard he had became a free agent, but HIM ON HIS TEAM, that sent his mind in a frenzy.
Peyton Manning: We wanted to surprise you, it was Elway's idea too. And if I'm being honest Stallion was hoping I choose your team when I became a free agent few months back.
Steed's mind was back in place hearing the Colt Rusherz' name, surprised at the information.
Steed: *awe* S-Stallion told you that?
Peyton Manning gave the Bronco Rusher a warm smile.
Peyton Manning: I know the last two seasons have been rough on you, and Stallion wanted someone to help you. When he caught wind on me becoming a free agent the next year, he asked me to consider your team. He told me I would fit in well and would be a good presence to you, given my reputation for being a-what did Lasso call us, oh yeah!-'Ray of Sunshine' player. John Elway was there that day when I came to see the team and well-it all played out as I think he hoped. Granted I don't think he expected Elway but he was happy to hear the news from me.
Steed stared at him for a while..before he slowly chuckle with a smile.
Steed: Why am I not surprise. Stallion, gotta thank you later. *looks up at him* Peyton I-I promise we'll take good care of you and your family-
Peyton Manning: *shakes his head* I already know you will so don't you worry about us Mannings. Besides, our family was apart of the forefront during Sudden Death's final battle so we can handle ourselves.
Steed: *surprise* Hold on, all of you? ALL OF YOU? *Peyton nodded; eyes widen* EVEN ARCHIE?
Peyton Manning: *smiles* YEP! Even dad was there! He made it quite clear he was gonna join the fight no matter WHAT.
Steed blinked, before he laughed shaking his head.
Steed: WHY AM I NOT SURPRISE! That man was stubborn when it came to us!
Peyton joined in Steed's laughed when the food arrive.
Steed: Well Peyton, *reaches hand out* Welcome to Mile High.
Peyton shoke it with gusto.
Peyton Manning: *grinning* Looking forward to working with you Steed.

Steed smiled as he walked back into the stadium, seeing Demaryius Thomas smirking at him.
Demaryius Thomas: Sooo, surprised?
Steed: Greatly. I can't believe you guys hid that bombshell from me!
Demaryius Thomas: Well it wasn't easy. The other Rusherz and OT helped with this, and the results *chuckles* was worth it.
Steed playful nudged his leg (due to his height) with smirk as he chuckled.
Steed: Well things are certainly gonna get lively here.
Demaryius Thomas: Oh yeah, looking forward to playing the big games with him...*smile warms* and seeing you smiling more again.
Steed smile soften as the two walked into Mile High Stadium.
Present...
Steed: *smiling; shakes his head; looks at Arrow-Head* The fact the entire team and Peyton got you guys involved, to the point even RZ GOT INVOLVED, it was one of the funnest surprises I gotten in years.
Arrow-Head: *Smiling* We wanted to help you as much as we could, and when we heard from Stallion on the results we did everything we could.
Ish:-THAT. IS. INCREDIBLE!
Ish was smiling ear to ear with this.
Ish: I had NO IDEA RZ WAS INVOLVED IN THAT! Oh man I can imagine the look on you face Steed!
Steed chuckled with Arrow-Head. The Bronco Rusher got up, before in a flash he went and came back with a newspaper clipping.
Steed: Folks were worried about his health and age, BUT and this was before the season openers..He basically decimated most those skepticism, and that helped when he fully destroyed those worries on game-day.
He handed Ish the Newspaper clipping, reading it over and seeing it was the local news for Denver.
MANNING WINS HEART OF BRONCO RUSHER!
Peyton Manning has already won something, and it not a game or record. Manning had won over the Bronco Rusher, who is still recovering from his horror of the Blitzing Incident in 2010 season and a near death experience in the 2011 season. The team and League surprised the Rusher at the new member of the team five days after he signed with the Broncos for a five-year $96 million contract. "He's basically not only becoming our QB but now a dear pal to Steed" said Coach John Fox, who was smiling all the while, "He would ask Steed to show him around Denver and the two always had a fun time. Steed needed this, we all needed this for him". The Bronco's worry on their Rusherz emotional well being increased after a incident ,details not given in full to us for personal reasons, lead to him having surgery during the 2011 season . " That was a heartbreaking day for us" General Manager John Elway told us, "To be honest, he hasn't been himself since 2007 when we lost Darrent Williams and Damien Nash. A bright star like Peyton (not just by stats mind you) will be a good boost for our Rusher. He's basically a friend to all the Rusherz of the core, so he's already feeling at home". The first game of the season will be at home here at Mile High against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Peyton has already made a grand debut befriending the Rusher of Denver.
Ish smiled warmly looking at the picture. Peyton had Steed on his shoulder with the Bronco Rusher laughing and smiling with him.
Steed: I never thought one man could heal a soul, be he manage to do that. John was right I-I wasn't really the same after 2007, and being Blitz made it SO MUCH WORSE. But-so much bright moments had happened after that. *Looks at Ish* I'm glad you came in that day Ish, if you didn't offer your help I-I don't really want to thing of that.
Ish brought Steed and Arrow-Head into a hug, making the two chuckle.

Steed had been through the RINGER since 2007; the lost of two dear friends/players, then being Blitz in 2010, the surgery in 2011. Ish remembered how emotionally DRAINED the Bronco was after all that. It took a while but he begun to heal-AND THEN PEYTON CAME. That player helped Steed's recovering with a boost that he knew a man like him could do. Players like Peyton, people like Peyton and his family, Madden, so many people like them have helped the Rusherz through the darkest of moments.
And right now, BOLT NEEDED IT.
Ish: Let's get to Oakland boys. We got a job to do!
Arrow-Head and Steed: RIGHT!

Outside the stadium...
Ish: *looks at the sky* Yeesh, never seen clouds like this. It makes it look like the sun's setting.
Arrow-Head: And this feeling, no doubt this is power beyond the Earth's realm. It's ours.
Both turned to see Steed stretching.
Ish: You ready for this?
Steed: Yeah. Now rules; Hold on tight, Let me know when I need to stop, And let me know if I go too fast.
Ish: Right.
Ish held on to Steed's head, with Arrow-Head grabbing his head.
Steed:-Hey, remind me to treat you all at Buckhorn Exchange soon too.
Both smiled as Steed took a deep breath.
Steed: ALRIGHT! OAKLAND HERE WE COME!
And in a flash of orange, all three vanished from Mile High.
