After the training with the surprise lesson of All Might in the USJ most of the 1-A class were thinking about the sports festival coming soon
After the final lesson in class. They decided to slouch and breathed in their seats
"Man today was exhausting..." Hanta sighed
"No kidding" Eijiro leaned back on his chair "there's still the event coming up this week"
"You think the Pro-heroes will be picky this year...?" Denki asked
"That depends" Jirou replied before she covered her mouth "although, you might have trouble since your quirk makes you look silly after using it"
"Not funny...!" he shouted in embarrassment
"Speaking of pros..." Sero turned to Izuku "Midoriya, has Necrom ever thought of taking in students of his own...?"
The class was dead silent at his words and looked at Izuku mentally asking the same thing...
The boy looked around and saw his classmates looking at him before sighing
"No" he shook his head "uncle doesn't take in students of his own"
"Why is that...?" Eijiro blinked "if he did that, then his work would be much easier"
"He's the controversial hero..." he stared at his classmate "even though, the government would allow it. He won't use technicalities as an excuse to be a hero"
Most of the class blinked at his answer with some looking away in shame as they only thought of getting recognized...the select few had tears as their belief in being a hero was thanks to Necrom's actions. To save the world in a realistic manner while the number one hero portrayed himself as the ideal hero for the world to become and strive for...
"Feh..." Katsuki stood from his chair and walked to the door "if that's all you can say then the number one spot will be mine"
When the door opened, it revealed a large group of students from different classes
"Oh great..." Izuku covered his eyes
"What is it?" Ochaco and Tenya asked
"They're here to declare their fight against us" he sighed
"Right you are" a lazy looking blue-haired student spoke "after hearing news about 1-A's special lesson, most of us felt insulted that your class got acknowledged by the public" he looked at the top student of the class
Katsuki was just quiet at the group in front of him
"Now don't say anything that will make them mad Bakugo...!" Minoru screamed
"Shut it pipsqueak!" he returned
The pervert shook in disbelief and looked to Izuku for help
"Don't let him get to you" he whispered "he's not backing down from a challenge"
Katsuki walked forward and stopped beside his challenger "if you think declaring war get's me, then you're stupider than you look" and walked again making the others clear away
"Hey hold it!" another student shouted from "you think that you can just walk away from us?!" only to be ignored by the guy "hey! Look at me when I'm talking to you...!"
"Bakugo!" Eijiro spoke "don't you think that you're being too single-minded on this..."
"If you don't think you can handle it" he looked back "then stop training to be a hero" before walking again
"So manly..." the hardness quirk student cried onto his sleeve
"No doubt his words have merit" Tokoyami nodded
"I wonder if we can follow his example" Rikido hummed
Denki just looked at them feeling very insecure
"I'm worried that he's the face of our class" Ochaco hummed "you think you can beat him Deku...?"
"I don't know" the boy scratched his head "I was able to stop him but that is more of no fighting in the school area moments"
"Well then" Tenya adjusted his glasses "this means we have to do our best and get used to having him around us"
So the remaining days of school most of the class did train for the sports festival that will be coming soon. They either did it physically or mentally...
One thing was certain for them, it will be a challenge to get recognized by the high ranking members listed in their internships afterward...
The day has arrived... the sports festival is a go! Most media, reporters and heroes went to UA and see the potential heroes they will teach in the events
"You think there is a potential in this academy...?" Kamui looked at his fellow hero
"No idea" Desugoro answered "but if there is, then we will see it later"
The two saw Mt. Lady get a free order of food using her looks and she boasted it without a care
'That woman can be more vain than usual...' they sweatdropped
As the giant hero enjoyed her free meal she heard a familiar voice
"Still thinking that hero work is only for fun huh?"
The three of them turned to see Necrom walking toward them. Making the lady eat her snack fast and and wipe her mouth clean
"Necrom...!" Kamui gasped at seeing the controversial hero in the academy
"I heard that you decided to be a teacher" the power armed hero hummed "and I still cant believe it"
"That's what I do" the controversial hero smiled before turning to the giant hero "and you still didn't answer my question Mt. lady"
"Uh" she looked around "sorry gotta go! Have to see potential heroes I want in my agency...!"
And ran away not wanting another chop to her head
"I never thought I'd see her act like that" Desugoro blinked at their teammate run away
"You must be some kind of hero officer" the wood hero blinked as well
"I'm not" he shook his head with a laugh "she just the remembered phantom pains when I asked her that question during her school days..."
"Wait, are you talking about that headchop on the newspaper of internship...?" Kamui asked
"You kept the article?" he blinked
"It helped my mood when she stole my spotlight on hero work at times" he mused
While the people are waiting for the start of the event, class 1-A are in the waiting rooms to be called out along with the other classes
"Even though we trained for this event" Ochako balled her hands "I feel nervous on getting public opinion"
"Don't be nervous" Mina grinned "I'm sure you'll be great out there!"
"All of will be fighting for the spot ribbit" Tsuyu croaked "though there is a chance someone could get it" she looked around "could be one of us or someone from a different class"
While some of the students talked about their chances. Shouto walked to Izuku and stared intently at him
"Izuku Midoriya" he spoke getting the class' attention "you have been something my mind ever since you showed your quirk"
"Is something about it bothering you...?"
"You're unique" the dual element student said "and I intend to beat you in order to reach the number one spot"
His declaration got the class to look at the two with some of them feeling worried as tension came in the atmosphere
"Hey Todoroki take it easy" Eijiro stepped in trying to ease him a bit "we still haven't started the event yet"
"So you think this declaration will make me back down?" Izuku smirked "let me test your resolve"
He used his soul quirk and phased through his classmate and Shouto shivered at the action but stood tall instead of falling to his knees like Momo did during the time of voting a class representative
This got the other members of 1-A surprised while Katsuki growled a bit since he kept falling to his knees when he challenged his target
'Damn it...!' the blonde bomber thought at seeing a rival against the top spot of heroes
"Looks like you are clear with your words Todoroki" Izuku hummed "just don't hurt yourself when you show your skill to the pros..."
The dual element student shivered and looked at his classmate with strong intent "you will be beaten by me Midoriya"
"Let us see that claim come in the event Todoroki" the boy looked at him "for it will be a battle between all of us...!"
"This is getting intense..." Denki gulped
"I don't think fighting either of them in the festival will help us feel better..." Mashirao followed
"Unless you have strong ambitions anyway" Hanta felt the sweat form on him
"Deku" Ochaco looked at her friend in worry
"Don't worry" Momo patted the gravity girl's shoulder "I'm sure he will be fine"
"Yeah" Toru spoke "Midoriya is a strong person"
"I can attest to that" Tsuyu nodded "he did distract that nomu when the perv and I helped our teachers move in USJ"
At the UA stadium, Present Mic was at the commentator booth with his friend Eraserhead beside him
"Welcome to UA's Sports Festival...!" the voice hero shouted with the crowd cheering below "so reporters get your cameras ready and people be ready the future walking into the area!" he then pointed at the center of the stadium "now let's see the students of UA...!"
The students walked in feeling nervous, excited or both
"There sure a lot watchers around us" Denki looked at the audience
"I'm not worried" Katsuki grinned "just means that I'm showing them all who's at the top"
"This really feels off" Izuku looked at the cheering crowd
"I hope you can handle it Midoriya" Tenya spoke "because this is now a test if heroes will be interested in you for internship afterwards"
"Right" he nodded regaining his focus as they stopped alomgh with the other classes in front of a stage
While the students were gathering in the area, Toshinori held his hands tightly
'Young Midoriya...' he squinted his eyes at his successor 'don't overdo your work'
"Now let us get start by explaining the rules of the event that will be told by Midnight!"
All eyes were on the R-rated hero with most of the men intently looking at the woman as she cracked her whip. Sadly though as Midnight explained how the event works... she had innuendos in her explanation making the men in the audience gush at her while the students fought the urge to groan out of embarrassment from their teacher's words
'Now I seeing why you trained me uncle' Izuku thought as he was the only student that wasn't affected by Midnight's words 'although, I have a feeling that her attention will be on me' he then shivered 'I also hope not to break my body when I use One For All later...'
Just then Katsuki was called up to the stage to give an opening speech before they start the event. Izuku heard some murmurs from the other classes around him about being the reall top student as he was always the attention from his class
'Oh no' he thought before turning back to blonde explosive 'this won't end well for us'
Katsuki took the microphone and coughed "since this event is important" he raised a finger "I...will be at the top..."
That line got a roar of anger from the other classes in UA while stunning the crowd that he would make such a claim
Tenya was already at the front of his class doing usual arm chops while scolding his classmate for doing so casually. Most of the other classmates would just look away as they are for thier lives since he was the one who made their class look bad. Shoto simply let it happen since the claim he said today was a challenge rather than an insult
And then Katsuki stopped walking as he stood in front of Izuku getting everyone to stop and blink at them
"You really can't stop yourself from jumping in recklessly" the green haired boy crossed his arms "then again, that's always been your style..."
"They are just obstacles for me to break Deku" the blonde explosive replied "and you would just be like them"
"Then let's see your improvement Katsuki..."
Izuku used his soul quirk and phased through the blonde making the guy shiver but stay on his feet albiet with shaky legs. Shocking the other classes beside his own...
"At least your standing" he hummed happily that his acquaintance was still standing
"I've been challenging you for years...!" Katsuki growled "So I can handle your cold phasing!"
The others were stunned that there was an individual that could shake the egoistic and loud student. And there were some that couldn't help but comment on what they saw
"I don't believe it..." a random student blinked
"Guess 1-A isn't full of bad students..." Setsuna crossed her arms smiling a bit
"Don't get tricked!" Neito cried to his classmate "he's just showing off...!"
"He's... interesting" Yui spoke shocking classmates as the girl rarely showed emotions to anyone
"Not you too!" the annoying member of 1-B cried in dismay "we'll beat you 1-A! And our class will finally be recognized by the world...!"
And then he was chopped on the head by a big hand courtesy of the representative in class 1-B
"Stop it Monoma" Itsuka sighed "save your energy for the events, not here..."
There was another 1-B student looking at Izuku and Katsuki... Reiko Yanagi simply looked at the green haired boy and heard that his quirk was unique among his classmates
'Izuku Midoriya' she blinked 'I want to see your quirk in front of me...'
Everyone gathered at the first event; an obstacle course and were behind start line now waiting
"This first event will test your ability on handling surroundings!" Present Mic smiled as Midnight watched the countdown
"Ready yourselves..." and it reached zero "go!"
Everyone ran out to the door squeezing themselves through with only Izuku staying behind watching them try to get through the path and run
Suddenly there was ice spreading on the ground, Shouto using the right body of his quirk to stay ahead while making a wall of students blocking the others behind him
"He sure is determined to take first..." he blinked before running and using quirk to phase through the students that are still stuck thanks to the icy floor making the unfortunate ones shiver heavily as they tried to move
He saw some of his classmates that weren't trapped in ice try to catch up to Shouto with Katsuki right behind him since his explosions make him fly
"You're not getting ahead half-n-half...!" he roared loudly
Momo used her creation quirk to pole vault ahead but she was stuck because she was now facing a group of point robots from the entrance exams
"Oh great" she sighed "I haven't figured out how to stop one yet..."
Izuku saw the first obstacle and immediately summoned his belt and Ore eyecon
'It's back...!'
He placed it inside and moved the lever
Kaigan! Ore! Let's go! Kakugo! Go-go-go-ghost!
A shadow leapt above her with a pair of weapons going to one of the robots and she saw her classmate charge in to do battle!
'Midoriya!?'
Izuku wasn't thinking much as he remembered saving his first friend upon seeing that zero robot again and wanted to destroy it without second thought
'You will be destroyed...!'
Dai-kaigan! Gangan minna! Omega slash!
Izuku's blades glowed and, mixing it with his other quirk One For All, he destroyed the zero-pointer's arm before it caused a chain reaction making the entire thing explode!
'Good job nephew' Necrom smiled 'although Inko might be feeling scared while she's cheering you on back home...'
The audience gaped at seeing such an act and saw another one fall to the ground seeing Katsuki grinning like a mad man...!
After that a loud noise came revealing Eijiro Kirishima used his quirk to protect himself when it fell on top of him
"Good thing I activated my quirk earlier" he grinned "I would've been out by now!"
Just then another sound came and he turned to see a male student looking shiny as if he were metal
"My Steel quirk saved me!" he shouted with joy at breaking out of the robot debris "I am Tetsutesu! Strong student of class 1-B...!"
'Impressive set of students' Izuku thought before he ran again using his quirk to phase through the remaining robots that went for him 'I'll see you lot on the next obstacle...'
Katsuki stayed behind to destroy the other zero robots showing of his strength to the other competitors making them carry doubt of their strength...
The crowd is going nuts at seeing the UA students give their all to be recognized by the world
Izuku reached the second obstacle, A giant pit area with stone columns connected by tightropes...
"You students may have passed the robots" Present Mic grinned "let's see you handle...the hole!"
"How is the school able build something like this...?" Ochaco blinked at the second obstacle
"You got me..." Mina scratched her head at the obstacle right now
Tsuyu went forward using her frog quirk to go across the tightropes with ease
Mei grinned at seeing this and used her inventions/babies to get across. Soon more students came and did various ways to get on the other side...
Some did in a flashy manner and others did it very basic...
Izuku hummed at the obstacle and went away form the tightrope as he saw it getting crowded like in the start of the race
Getting the attention of three students as they were going to the rope pathway
"What's that guy doing...?"
"I don't know"
"Just leave him, we have to be next on that tightrope...!"
The boy looked in the distance and saw a tide of white about halfway on the hole and knew it was Shoto in the lead again
'You are so focused' he thought before raising his hand summoning an eyecon 'I still can't believe that I can use uncle's eyecons'
The one he held has a grayish case and it was connected to him after Necrom presented the eyecons personally
'That's because he trusts you Izuku' Sanzo said through a mental link 'he believes in your path on becoming a hero'
'Right...' he pressed the button making the iris show a number 15 'lend me your strength so that I can move forward and give my aid to the world'
'I give you my blessing young hero' Sanzo said in approval
Before removing his Ore eyecon making his Ore coat disappear and placed the Sanzo eyecon in his buckle
Eye! Bachirimina! Bachirimina!
And pulled the lever
Kaigan! Sanzo! Travelling the land, enlightened disciples!
A parka coat appeared before attaching itself to his body giving him a new look; he was dressed in a white sleeveless robe with a crown on the hood, three wooden masks were attached on him; two were his shoulder pads and one was on his back and to finish his look a gold ring with 8 spikes was attached on the green mask behind him
The other students who were about to cross gaped at his transformation most were in disbelief that someone in their school can use Necrom's coats!
And they weren't the only ones...
The audience, media groups and teachers were in disbelief!
Present Mic decided to break the ice
"I don't believe it!" the voice hero stood from his chair "Izuku Midoriya can use Necrom's coats as well!?"
'I should've expected that possibility...' Eraserhead thought 'he is your nephew after all'
Izuku clapped his hands together and smoke appeared summoning Sanzo's 3 humanoid disciples; a red monkey, a yellow pig and a green kappa
All of them readied themselves for a command, to which he made by pulling the lever again
Dai-kaigan! Sanzo omega drive!
The three transformed into smoke again and moved to Izuku's feet becoming a cloud and he flew across the second obstacle leaving behind a stunned group of students at seeing his quirk
"That guy is something..." a student blinked
"You said it" another agreed
"Come on!" a third called "we can't fall behind!"
A female student in 1-B with thorny vines as hair stared at Izuku before making a prayer
"Oh lord, please forgive that boy on using souls to fight against other beings"
Now comes the final obstacle... a minefield...
"Welcome to the third and final obstacle folks!" the voice hero called "this one will test your awareness and caution" he then made dramatic move "step over one of them...and you get blown up to the sky...!"
"Please don't be so loud..." Eraserhead sighed at his friend's expressive personality
Izuku landed near the start and saw his most of his competition moving around the traps carefully and a few were already ahead due to using their quirks or were simply far ahead at the time...
'Seriously?' he blinked 'then again, this obstacle course is about handling situations...' he hummed 'first was combat, second was pathways and now stress...'
He looked ahead to see Shoto and Katsuki fighting each other physically, they were smart enough to not use their quirks and risk detonating the mines under them
"Better make a surprise in this part of the race" he muttered and summoned his Beethoven eyecon "and what better surprise than using you"
Izuku removed his Sanzo eyecon and replaced it with his new one
Eye!
A new parka coat flew out of his belt. It was black in color, sleeveless and had piano key designs on the vest and shoulder scarfs
Kaigan! Beethoven! Musician...destiny...! Ja-ja-ja-ja~an!
He donned his new coat and raised his arms upward as if presenting himself to the world
"It looks like Izuku Midoriya is going to do something folks..."
"He is" Necrom muttered
"Necrom?" Toshinori looked to his friend
"Just watch" he replied "and you will be surprised..."
Izuku looked at the minefield and has only one thought of passing through this obstacle, and with a wave of his arms...music started to be heard in the area!
The tune spread as he continued waving his arms like a composer. The notes of the tune appeared and spread making the others stop their actions looking at him in awe completely distracting them of their objective to take 1st place...!
Dai-kaigan! Beethoven omega drive!
Izuku moved his arms down making the notes move down touching the landmines buried underground creating giant explosion sending those students in the air screaming loudly
Giving him the opening to run ahead in the smoke and take first place of this event
"Izuku..." Inko watched the event from her screen back at home and cried a bit at seeing her child take first place of UA's Sports Festival "I'm so happy for you"
Toshinori smiled at his successor and clapped a bit at his performance
"So you enjoyed the development of that event...?" Necrom smiled
"That I did" he nodded "young Midoriya has grown since I first met him" and then smiled a bit "his hero career will tough, but I believe that he can make it"
"So do I Yagi" the controversial hero agreed "so do I..."
Author's Notes:
Okay I've updated my Deku the Ghost again and this is going to be a short set of chapters since the whole plot of season 2 is about students showing their capabilities to people and test their experience of being part in a hero agency
Also remember guys, this story has most of the canon in the original universe in MHA, so small changes in this story doesn't really affect the main plot of the entire series as this story just shows what Izuku is like if he had a, somewhat, normal life without being obviously targeted by society's belief that people with quirks are better than the quirkless...
