Kick is in the middle of looking over Kendall's old scrapbook when Gunther finds him. He doesn't say anything, but it makes Kick realize how much he's missed his best friend. Sometimes he wonders how is it that everyone hasn't abandoned him… honestly, he wouldn't be able to blame them if they did; he was the one who pulled away, after all. Just began going through the motions of daily life, barely caring about how everyone else felt. How he sometimes made them feel.
They sit in silence for a while, appreciating that despite what happened, they're still comfortable around each other. Then Gunther speaks.
"Scarlett's back."
For a split second, he feels numb. There's no sound. No color. No air. Just… nothing. But then fierce resentment floods his veins, engulfing them in fire and burning him from the inside out. He's not sure what he'll say to her if they cross paths, but he knows it won't be pretty.
