It was still break time for the 16 competitors and they are gathering back into the arena with a concrete arena in the center being made by Cementoss
"Looks like our competition is being gathered with some cheers before the final event starts" Present Mic smiled at the students coming in
"Hey Mic" Eraserhead called "take a look below"
"Huh?" the voice hero leaned forward and saw something surprising "well, well" he blinked "looks like the 1-A girls decided to support their class through cheering!"
And it was true...Momo used her quirk to create the outfits by Minoru's tricky words and convinced the other girls to be part of it. They were now standing in disbelief wearing said outfits that showed their body proportions and curves
Getting most of the others attention as they were in disbelief, like the group, with some making comments
"I didn't realize that they look so good"
"Is that even legal...?"
"Nothing in the rules against their choice of support"
"Let's just appreciate the view for a bit and then get back to the event"
The perverts of 1-A, Denki and Minoru, gave each other thumbs up at their accomplishment
Meanwhile the girls of 1-A aren't feeling good about this...
"I can't believe this...!" Kyoka threw her pom poms to the ground "how did you convince us to wear these...?"
"Blame Mineta" Tsuyu croaked "he's sly enough to trick anybody to his whims"
"I agree" Mina looked at her complaining friend shouting at the two in dismay
"You think there will be enough time to change back to our uniforms?" Ochaco blinked
"I think so..." Toru then waved her pom poms wildly "so let's cheer up and do a little dance in these!"
"Are you crazy!?" the earphone girl blushed madly at hearing that
While the awkward situation happened and the competitors were busy keeping themselves together, Izuku sighed that a situation like this was in front of him
'This is supposed to be showing the pros your capabilities for internship...' he thought 'and yet you two are blind thanks to word festival'
So he went to the still complaining Momo getting her and the other girl's attention
"Excuse me Yaoyorozu" he called to his classmate "can I ask you to make mallet?"
"Oh sure" she used her Creation quirk and presented it to him "what do you need this for...?"
"You'll see"
He then walked to the two pervs still in ignorance due to the wonderful sight of seeing their female classmates in their cheer outfits
"Enjoying the reward you two?" the boy asked
"You bet...!" they smiled not caring for anything else right now "we finally have something to enjoy!"
"Well I have a surprise for you on having the girls wear those clothes"
"What is it? Is it something good?!" they asked immediately not caring about other things right now
"Yep" he smiled 'for the girls that is...'
The two were now on the ground having bumps on their heads with a twitchy leg moving in the air, courtesy of Izuku using his mallet to hit them surprising everyone
"That's a nice breather" Present Mic smiled leaning back on his chair "what do you think Eraserhead...?"
"It is" he hummed 'it makes me wonder what Necrom taught you before joining UA Midoriya...'
"That's my nephew" Necrom clapped a bit "helping people feel better"
"I take it your experience has taught him some personal principles" Snipe looked at his fellow hero
"You could say that" he hummed "I may have been doing solo work most of my career. But that doesn't mean I can't help other hero agencies in my travels"
"No joke" Thirteen agreed "no matter where you are, the other heroes appreciate your aid..."
"At least the ones who understand teamwork" Cementoss pointed out "I'm still in turmoil that other heroes put personal goals first and not helping the world stay safe"
"No one's perfect Cementoss" the controversial hero sighed "it may not be helpful that the government kept secrets from us, but we also have to decide what is important when our ideals are tested" he looked at the competition below "for the sake of the future, we must give our all to create upcoming heroes in this school"
"Necrom..." Toshinori blinked at his friend's words 'I now see why people say that you are my shadow' he turned to his successor 'I give the ideals of a hero, while you remind the people that being hero isn't a game'
The girls blinked at Izuku's action and some couldn't help but blush that he did that to the two idiots
"Maybe now you will focus on your minds on the event?" he sighed and waved to them "I hope this act made you all feel better...!"
They appreciate the kind gesture and one of them even waved pom pom at him as a thank you
"He's a nice boy" Momo felt relieved that someone helped her and her friends' emotional turmoil "I wish we could thank him somehow..."
"Yep" Tsuyu nodded "although one of us already figured that out"
"What do you mean Tsu?" Mina and Ochaco blinked
"Look" the frog girl pointed forward
Toru walked to Izuku as he was rubbing his temples that a couple of his classmates would degrade themselves for personal interest...
'My uncle warned me about heroes acting like this' he sighed 'I just hope they can think straight now'
"Midoriya" she called to her friend "can you make me visible?" she requested "I want you to see me for the moment"
"Sure Hagakure" the boy placed his hand on top of her invisible head and used his quirk creating a flash of light before everyone saw the girl's appearance "any other things I should expect from you?"
"Just my thank you for punishing those two on tricking us into wearing these outfits" she smiled
"Oh you don't have to-" Izuku was cut off from speaking when Toru pulled him toward her and gave him a peck on the cheek
Surprising him and the others around them
"Whoa!"
"Did you see that!? He made her visible!"
"First he makes ghost coats, now this..."
"What else can he do...?"
"Uh..." Izuku blinked as his face was slightly red "what was that for?"
"Like I said Midoriya, my thank you..." she giggled as her face slightly red for giving him that kiss
Meanwhile the girls of 1-A were staring in disbelief at seeing their temporary visible friend do that
"My goodness!" Momo gasped
"You don't think she's falling for him?" Mina looked at her friends
"I don't know ribbit" Tsuyu blinked "this the first time I see her act like that"
Ochaco stared at the scene and her chest ached a bit at seeing that innocent kiss 'what am I feeling...?'
A few 1-B members decided to comment on the scene
"So his can also affect living souls too?" Itsuka hummed
"Forget that!" Setsuna waved her arm "I can't believe how lucky that guy is on getting a kiss!"
"An innocent one" Reiko pointed out "if he keeps acting like this, other girls might want him"
"Like me" Yui spoke
"Yes" she then blinked in surprise "wait, what?"
"You think that he might be interested on interacting with us Kendo?" Pony asked "his transformations earlier makes me want to talk to him"
"We'll have to wait Tsunutori" the class rep of 1-B sighed "the teacher is here"
Midnight came into view and explained the final event on today's Sports Festival...
While the R-rated explained the rules and the competitors fighting who are they facing against. Izuku was in his thoughts about Shouto's predicament
'I can't believe that he would treat his own son like that...' the by frowned 'is your ambition so strong that you would disregard the lives you interacted with?'
He looked at his dual element classmate 'I know you're strong Todoroki' his eyes narrowed 'but stay one sided, you won't be the hero you claim to be...'
The board is now open to show who's fighting who in the final event and a few were surprised at their opponents
But before the event got to start, two arms were raised in the sky...
They belonged to Mashirao Ojiro of 1-A and Nirengeki Shoda of 1-B
"I'd like to drop out of the competition" they said at the same time
When the two were asked by their classmates on why they are dropping out, they said that it didn't feel like a proper win...
So the replacements to them will be a couple students from 1-B; Neito Monoma and Tetsutesu Tetsutetsu
"Yes...!" the steel student raised his arms "I'm still in!"
"And I can show that 1-A isn't so great!" the mimic student grinned wide
"Are you sure that Monoma is a good choice?" Reiko whispered "he's not really helping us get recognized..."
"Then whoever fights him must beat him" Itsuka muttered hoping that someone can stop him from spreading his delusions 'my method isn't teaching him self-control...'
Without any more interruptions. Midnight raised her whip and the R-rated hero finished with the top 3 winners of this Sports Festival will be given their medals by the number one hero himself
Everyone went to the spectator seats waiting for their names to be called while they prepared themselves mentally with a few looking nervous on this part of the festival
"Oh I hope to be okay..." Ochaco wrapped her arms around herself "Bakugo is pretty scary"
"I'm sure you'll think of something Uraraka" Toru patted her shoulder "we are facing challenges to be heroes after all..."
The round 1 battles are set and the first match was Eijiro Kirishima against Tetsutestu Tetsutesu. Both were equally matched due to having similar quirks and they both ended up finishing each other off in a tie. But it didn't stop there, Cementoss fixed the arena and have the two settle it in arm wrestling
Eijiro won making Tetsutetsu sigh at his loss but smiled when his opponent acknowledged his effort making Midnight squeal in happiness
Next was Momo Yaoyorozu fighting Yuga Aoyama. The fight was fine as the boy usually relied on his naval laser to attack but the creation girl used her shield to deflect the beam and made a metal pole to vault over her opponent before bashing him on the back of his head with a hammer that Izuku requested her earlier declaring her the winner!
"Sorry Aoyama" she apologized at her classmate "I wanted show more of my capabilities"
The third match was between Mina Ashido and Denki Kaminari. Sadly for the electric boy... he had some of his clothes melted before he could act making him also lose his pants and the acid girl used her quirk to skate toward her opponent and push him out of bounds
"Aw really?" Denki sighed as he tied his ruined jacket over his loose pants to keep it from falling
"Sorry Kaminari" Mina smiled "but I can't have you shock me with your quirk"
Fourth match is between Tenya Iida and Fumikage Tokoyami. The battle between the two was somewhat short... Tenya used his engine quirk in small bursts to help himself maneuver against Dark Shadow's speed and claws
"You have better control with your quirk in daylight" the class rep spoke "but keep it around too long and your shadow gets weaker" he then positioned himself to make another run "Recipro Burst...!"
His engine legs flared up surprising Fumikage and the audience as he ran toward his target and used the opening to crash against the opponent sending Fumikage flying out the ring and hit the wall, making a dent, and pass out from the attack
"Oh wow" Ochaco blinked at her friend's move "I didn't think he could do that" she turned to Izuku "what do you think Deku?"
Sadly she saw the boy writing on his notebook as he intently analyzed the people using their quirks during the matches
"Deku...?" she called to her friend
But he continued taking notes as the other students of 1-A were in disbelief to see such focus from him
Though, they should be thankful that he isn't muttering right now...even Katsuki was silently glad that the guy kept quiet
Izuku's writing stopped when he felt something thin and wet on his shoulder
"You should really slow down Midoriya" Tsuyu croaked "your match may come up next"
"Right" he closed his notebook "thanks for getting me back here Tsu" he smiled "I'd miss the next upcoming match"
"No problem" the frog girl returned with a happy croak
Match number five is quite a surprise...Mei and Hitoshi were fighting each other but thanks to the inventor's obvious wish to show more of her babies and get recognized by her work. The lazy looking student simply asked a question
"You really like making babies huh...?"
"Yep!" she nodded happily "it's been my passion ever since...!"
"Then do me a favor and walk out the ring" was his response "you're wasting your time trying to get attention in this match"
Everyone blinked at Hitoshi's statement but got surprised when Mei was in a trance and walked out of the ring...!
"Huh...?" the inventor blinked and looked to see that she was out and Midnight declared Hitoshi as the winner of the match "no fair!" she complained "I didn't get to show my babies...!"
The inventor huffed before walking into the hallways while Hitoshi felt a little bad that he ended the match so fast, but that was overshadowed thanks to his goal and he looked at the sky feeling good about himself
"That was just sad..." Hanta commented
"Whatever" Katsuki crossed his arms "the match was a bad mix anyway..."
"Only you could say that" a few students muttered at his comment and thankfully weren't heard
Izuku gave his notebook to Ochaco surprising her as she held his item
"Deku?" she blinked
"I'm going to see Hatsume Uraraka" he responded "she may need someone to talk with"
"Okay Deku" she nodded "help her"
He smiled to her and walked toward the hallway with his mind on finding Mei
"Midoriya sure is... something" Koji said nervously 'I wish I was brave like him...'
"Yeah" Mezo, Mashirao and Rikido nodded
"Midoriya has a good trait to be a hero" Tenya pushed his glasses up 'a trait I have yet to carry...'
"Are you guys sure?" Minoru crossed his arms "he could just be doing this to get that girl's attention"
That line resulted him getting a smack from Tsuyu's long tongue and Momo's hammer
"Don't compare your selfish desire with Midoriya's actions!" the creation girl shouted angrily
"Whoa..." a few blinked at her outburst
"I didn't think you'd act like that Yaoyorozu..." Mina spoke in surprise
Momo blinked and realized what she did "I'm sorry for my behavior!" she apologized "I just thought Mineta's words deserve punishment"
"I admit that action made me feel better" Toru hummed "Midoriya is a caring person"
"Lucky bastard..." Minoru rubbed his struck head
"You think that his upcoming match will show more good qualities of him?" Denki asked
"I don't know" Fumikage shook his head "Midoriya has only shown one side of himself to us"
"Oh great..." Denki hi groaned "did you have to make us doubt right now?"
"This is an imperfect world" he countered "good things can't always be shown to us"
"Like how our teacher was about to expel any of us on failure despite it being a joke...?" Hanta, Mezo and Rikido blinked
"Exactly" the dark shadow student nodded making the class think on that scenario
"Whatever you say birdhead" Katsuki looked away
Izuku walked around trying to find Mei and luckily he found her carrying a face disappointment and nothing else
"Hatsume!" he called before running to her "are you alright?"
"I'll live..." she sighed "I just can't believe I wasn't able to show my babies to everyone"
"Now don't be sad" he placed his hand on her shoulder "there will be other opportunities" and smiled "besides, I might show the baby you will give me later to my classmates and tell them how great it is"
"Thanks Midoriya" the inventor smiled slightly "you just made me feel better" and looked at him "don't worry! I'll deliver my new my baby for you personally!"
She then ran off to get the item, leaving the green haired boy alone
"At least she returned to her usual eccentric self" he smiled before going to the spectator seats with a feeling of accomplishment
When he got back, he saw Katsuki and Ochaco were gone from the group
"So those two are fighting next..." Izuku sat down and took his notebook back from Ochaco's empty seat but kept it closed as he looked at the ring intently
"Midoriya...?" some of the 1-A class looked at him in surprise
"If you're asking" he kept his eyes forward "Uraraka is going to have a hard time" a sigh escaped his lips "Katsuki always goes on brute force"
"Now you're scaring me Midoriya..." Denki, Minoru, Toru and Hanta gulped
"How bad can you guess...?" Eijiro questioned
"Heavy bruises at worst" was his answer "but dizziness at best, if she can prove herself strong"
The rest of 1-A blinked at that and felt a bit worried for the gravity girl right now
While the talk happened, some 1-B students heard it from their seats
"That Bakugo must be very powerful..." Tetsutetsu crossed his arms "probably why he was so arrogant on the opening speech"
"That is true" Nirengenki hummed "from what we saw, he has the most combat adrenaline in his class"
"Feh!" Neito scoffed "that guy is from 1-A, don't listen to his words...!"
"And yet he was able to get his classmates to listen" he countered "you're just complaining instead of making a plan to beat him..."
"Why you trai-!" the mimic student would said something bad had Itsuka not stop him by knocking him out with a head chop
"Thanks Kendo" he said to this class rep "Monoma just can't stop himself..."
"And his match may be next" she looked at the barrier separating her class from 1-A 'Izuku Midoriya' she thought 'I hope you won't blame us on Monoma's boasts'
The sixth match has come... Katsuki Bakugo vs Ochaco Uraraka...
This one... was unbelievable! The blonde explosive unleashed a lot of explosions at his target and the girl was taking a lot of hits from the attacks and aftershocks! The fight continued with Katsuki pressing on the offensive and Ochaco was already bruised from the explosion with the ring cracked and chipped around them
The audience was complaining at seeing such a display of violence . Present Mic was unable to make a sound due to how brutal the fight... and the crowd wanted the match to stop making Midnight unsure if she should
Thankfully Eraserhead gave a speech about how hard it is for a hero to handle situations and told everyone that the job is about what you experience in facing such odds. The struggle Ochaco showed that despite her disadvantage, she was fighting strong and the girl is still determined, she finally used her gravity quirk on all the rocks in the ring her during the battle against Katsuki surprising him and the rest...!
The debris around her, big and small, floated and her face showed determination that even Katsuki was surprised to see
"You wanted to me to give my all right?" she said not flinching from pain at the moment "then I'll do just that...!" her eyes was burning with a fire that the blonde explosive had to acknowledge much to his surprise
"Meteor Storm!"
And the debris rocketed toward Katsuki hoping this attack is enough for her to win the match
Sadly it wasn't meant to be...
Katsuki used his quirk to destroy all of it, the girl was on her knees panting hard keeping her fire burning even though it was withering away...
"You...are strong round face" was his final say to her and used his explosion to send her out of the ring signaling the end of the match
Midnight went to the fallen gravity girl as a pair of robot medics came with a stretcher to carry her out and rest while she hoped the girl would wake up to see the final set of the round 1 matches
The spectators of 1-A blinked at the match
"You weren't kidding Midoriya..." Rikido spoke for the class "Bakugo's not messing around on his goal"
"Anyone who's facing him must be strong or they will be under his heel" Izuku stated as he saw his first friend being carried out "because that's always been the situation for him" before looking at the blonde explosive walking away
"What a match eh Eraser?" the voice hero turned to his friend "you think the next one will make you react...?"
"Probably..." the erasure hero said flatly 'what will you do to face a mimic Midoriya?'
It's finally Izuku's turn... his match against Neito Monoma has arrived. The two were looking at each other with the latter smiling smugly with crossed arms while the former just narrowed his eyes
'Neito Monoma' he frowned 'ever since you made yourself known, you have been a thorn to me and my classmates' he balled his hands tightly 'is your teacher so ignorant that you would corrupt people to your whims and selfish desire...?'
"Now this will be something to see" Present Mic hummed "a ghost facing a mimic"
"Curious..." Eraserhead stared at the two fighters below
Midnight was about to start the match but was halted when Izuku raised his arm
"Wait!" he spoke not moving his gaze away "before we start, I'd like to say something..."
"Oh?" the mimic student kept his arrogant smile "finally admitting that your class isn't worth getting the glory?"
"WHAT!?" most of 1-A stood up in shock and disbelief
"I'll kill him!"Katsuki was about to jump off but got restrained by Eijiro before he could make that statement a reality
"How shameful!" Tenya and Momo shouted "he's supposed to be a student of 1-B our rival class in the hero course!"
"Oh Monoma..." a few students of said class muttered in shame
"We should just cheer for Midoriya to win" Yui stated getting the others to agree
"That is if we can" Reiko hummed making her classmates blink "everyone will be too interested in mimicry instead of ghosts" she stated
"No, not that" he shook his head before stepping forward "I heard after the cavalry event that your quirk has the ability to use other quirks simultaneously"
"Ah, so you see how I'm above you after all..." the mimic student grinned much to 1-A's annoyance
"You could say that" he kept his composure and presented an open hand "and since you see yourself as the superior, I'd like to see my quirk used against me"
"HUH...!?" everyone was shocked to hear that
"WHAT THE HELL DEKU?!" Katsuki roared "YOU'RE JUST LETTING THIS WHINER COPY YOU...!?"
"Don't jump in Bakugo...!" Eijiro kept his grip tight "you'll disqualify Midoriya!"
"I can't believe I'm saying this... but Bakugo is correct!" Tenya chopped his arms "please stop this foolishness!"
"Yes Midoriya!" Momo and Toru followed "don't do it!"
"No Midoriya!" the other students of 1-A cried in desperation "don't make it harder for yourself!"
Izuku ignored the cries "are you really going to miss this chance Monoma?" he pressed "an opportunity to beat me with my own quirk...?"
"I don't know what your game is here..." Neito grabbed the hand and shook it "but you just made a big mistake for letting this happen!"
"He's screwed..." everyone in the spectator seats stated without second thought
Eraserhead narrowed his eyes again 'what are you trying to do spot 'we'll just see Monoma...'
Without anymore interruptions, the R-rated hero declared the match to start
Neito went in the offensive and used the soul quirk he copied and lunged in to strike him down!
But when he delivered his attack, he just...phased through Izuku before hitting the concrete!
"Huh...?" he blinked he stood up and walked to Izuku again using the copied still and moved to his target again and saw his arm phase through
"What is this?" Present Mic blinked at the scene "Monoma's copy of Midoriya's quirk seems to have some malfunction..."
"I think we'll be finding that out Mic" Eraserhead hummed
"How come I can't hit you?" Neito blinked as he continued to phase through his opponent in disbelief "I copied your quirk! I should have all the abilities you carry...!" he shouted in slight fury
"You may be smart Monoma" Izuku stepped back a bit "but you focused so much on practical methods that you fail to see my quirk properly"
"What are you saying?" Neito narrowed his eyes
"My quirk is related to souls" he answered "when you copied it, it was responding to your soul" and continued "intangibility is your ability thanks to being above everyone..."
Izuku then decided to use his opponent's mocking tactic "so why waste time putting us on the ground when you have better things to do...?" he then leaned forward "or is it because that you mimic the quirks so much that you preferred being the world's shadow?"
Neito blinked at seeing his own tactic used against him, he decided to stop using Izuku's quirk and went on using the other quirks he copied only thinking on beating the stupid 1-A opponent!
Not realizing that he was already losing this fight...
Izuku didn't bother fighting back...he moved away from the desperate strikes and made light counter hits making the mimic stagger giving him time to step back for distance to keep dodging
"Oh wow..." a hero commented "that Midoriya kid is holding his own"
"Yeah" another hero agreed "even though mimicry is a good quirk...I can't deny personal skill is a must in our work"
"Damn you!" the mimic student gritted his teeth "why aren't you fighting back!?"
"I want to see you struggle Monoma" Izuku was still using the mocking tactic "your desperation makes me want to hold back some more"
That did it... Neito was feeling so much of his unbridled rage and decided to to mix some quirks he copied together
"I'll show you!" he roared before using Solid Air to create a see through barrier to use as a platform and get a height advantage before he used Hardening to make his body jagged and dive down to his opponent using his whole body as a weapon "you'll never beat me now...!"
'There it is' Izuku crossed his arms 'the arrogance of a hero...'
"What are you doing Midoriya!?" Minoru shouted with tears in his eyes "move out of the way!"
The boy just stood still as his opponent delivered his attack creating a dust cloud in the arena and the audience made comments about the display
"Looks like this fight won't be good..."
"You think that Midoriya is the cause of the mess?"
"That can't be, Monoma sounded more arrogant than his opponent"
"You think any hero can save that boy from his problems?"
"Maybe...but it has to be someone who can endure him..."
Meanwhile the teachers of UA are talking to each other about the match they saw
"Monoma has done it" Vlad King smiled "he was able to beat the rival class!"
"You think this is the time to celebrate?!" Thirteen rebuked "your student just killed him...!"
While the teachers argued about Neito's upbringing with Vlad's lack of awareness to that. Toshinori and Necrom stared at the arena with the dust cloud starting to lessen
"Young Midoriya" the blonde scarecrow shivered at his successor's match "please be okay"
"Don't give up yet Yagi" Necrom patted his shoulder "the match hasn't been called"
The dust cloud finally vanished with Neito looking very shocked that his strongest attack was for nothing...!
"Midoriya!" the 1-A students cheered in joy at seeing their classmate "you're okay...!"
"Thank goodness" Reiko sighed in her seat "I almost believed that Monoma has made a grave mistake"
"Yeah" Setsuna covered half her face with her floating hand "I didn't think he would be desperate enough to do that"
"I and some others in this class have been stopping him from his habit" Itsuka sighed "but he just keeps ignoring them..."
"I feel sorry for you guys" someone from 1-A spoke to them
"Don't worry about us!" the class rep of 1-B called "after Monoma loses here, I'm sure he'll start learning"
"I hope you won't fear Deku when he goes all out later"
The one talking to them was Ochaco as she was able to feel better thanks to Recovery Girl and she even got up to speed from her friends about the match before hearing their comments
"Will something going bad happen...?" she questioned
"It's just..." the gravity girl felt a little agitated "Deku has a strong belief on heroes" she remembered how his friend talked about how they inspire people and make them feel safe from trouble "Monoma isn't really... heroic during the Sports Festival"
Both classes felt a chill when the gravity girl emphasized on the word...
Neito was now back to normal looking at Izuku in shock when he used his soul quirk to be intangible evading the attack and looked back at him with a serious stare
"Still convinced that you have what it takes to beat someone form 1-A...?"
The mimic student of 1-B shook off his shock and instantly return to his delusional arrogance
"Of course!" Neito stood up and grinned like a madman "I will defeat you and become the better hero!" he then looked to the spectators "I want all of you to see how great I am as I prove to you that I'm not one to be looked down on...!"
That little speech got him praises on his being making Neito gloat in happiness while the green haired boy frowned. He could barely contain his anger anymore
"Some hero you are..." Izuku spoke getting the attention now "heroes are supposed to be the protectors of the world!"
He pointed at the mimic student "you may have gotten the crowd's praise... but I know what you really are. A parasite that couldn't understand how the world works" he shook his head "no, more like you deny the different lessons that were presented in this school and only believe in your selfish wish to be the best like a dirty coward!"
His quirk activated at that declaration, creating heavy pressure in the entire area making nearly half of the watchers feel faint!
"Hey isn't this the feeling we felt back at the USJ?" Eijiro blinked
"Hey you're right!" Denki realized "that must mean Midoriya's soul quirk is affecting everyone here!"
"He's mad..." Minoru shivered
"Very mad" Tsuyu followed
"Deku..." Ochaco gripped her hands together 'please don't do anything you'll regret...'
'Deku!' Katsuki balled his hands tight letting small sparks of explosives out 'have you been holding back against me...!?'
The 1-B students weren't feeling any good either
"What is this feeling?" the class rep spoke for her classmates
The teachers were feeling the same pressure but thankfully their career in facing dangerous situations kept them awake
"I just don't think it's possible..." Vlad King shivered a bit
"Hey Necrom" Power Loader called "you've been with the kid longer than any of us, did you think he could do this?"
"It really depends on how he feels" the controversial hero recalled his visits in the past "what's happening now is the result of Monoma's stupidity..."
The green haired boy ran to his opponent, who quickly used the Hardening quirk, and straight up punched his face sending him tumbling backwards shocking the crowd
"But how...?" the mimic student blinked "I just protected my self!"
"My soul quirk" Izuku stated "you say you can do better by copying it, but fail to realize that being better takes time to acknowledge" his glare not wavering "from what I saw back at the cavalry battle, anytime you use a copied quirk... it would only last minutes"
The mimic student's eyes twitched which was enough of an answer for him...
"You truly are pathetic" Izuku huffed "relying more on other quirks than improving yourself" he crossed his arms "being a hero isn't about making yourself the best..." and glared at his opponent harshly "it's about carrying the burden on keeping the world safe, making sure people can live without fear!"
His intention put everyone in awe...it was almost like All Might declaring himself to be the pillar of the community in his heroic path
"Well said young one" a female voice echoed getting everyone back to the current reality "you are a marvel to be blessed with such a unique gift"
"May I request on who's I acquired...?" Izuku requested feeling a little embarrassed
"And you have manners too" she giggled "good thing your gift can mix with mine, I am Himiko"
"Himiko" he blinked "the royal lady who has helped her land by using a quirk in the quirkless era...?"
"Is that what it's called now?" she hummed "anyway, please summon me so I can aid you in your battle against such loathing impurities"
Izuku quickly did so and summoned a new parka coat; It was a sleeveless pink robe with golden jewelry on the shoulders and a headdress on the hood. The ghost moved to him and transformed into an eyecon
"Looks like I have something you don't Monoma" he smiled and summoned his belt "getting the trust of other beings..."
He pressed the button and the iris showed a number 10 before placing it in his buckle
Eye! Bachirimina! Bachirimina!
"Henshin"
Kaigan! Himiko! Eye of the mystic... queen of Yamatai!
When Izuku transformed his body carried a certain finesse that was from the past eras. He summoned his Gangan saber and changed his weapon into a dual bladed naginata
And then everyone got surprised when the boy was starting to dance, but eyes turned wide at seeing pink mist form around him!
"Okay that's new" the voice hero commented "Eraser?"
"I have no idea honestly..." the teacher of 1-A replied in confusion
"You think your little show will make me surrender!?" Neito mixed in Eijiro's quirk and his classmate Setsuna Tokage, Lizard Tail Splitter, to create a controlled weapon for area control!
But when the mimic student was about to attack, Izuku finished his dance and waved his arms spreading the pink mist around the ring
"Impurities..." he looked at Neito "begone!"
The floating pieces shook before merging back to Neito's head reforming his body and is shocked when it happened!
"You did something!" the mimic student accused "you cheated didn't you!?"
"It's Himiko's quirk Monoma" Izuku stated "I got her trust on using it" he pointed his weapon at the mimic student "you just take what isn't yours..." and moved it toward his belt
Dai-kaigan! Gangan minna! Omega stream!
Izuku's weapon glowed and delivered multiple energy slashes with each one hitting Neito's body creating an explosion...!
Everyone watched agape as the mimic student flew out of the ring as the boy wasn't even conscious from the attack. They turned back to Izuku standing in the ring waiting for Midnight's call on the match
"Uh, the winner is Izuku Midoriya!" the R-rated hero raised her whip before going to Neito and check on his body for heavy injuries while the crowd were talking to each other about the match they saw
"What do you think of the match?"
"Unusual...it's like I saw two different beliefs clashing against each other!"
"How do you feel Yagi?" Necrom asked his friend
"Slightly shaken" he replied "I never thought young Midoriya would make bold statements"
'That match reminds me of the time I exposed selfish heroes in public' he thought 'only I end up hurting them since they are quick on getting even...'
"Hopefully this actually open your eyes Vlad" Snipe looked at the 1-B teacher
"I'll... see what I can do to fix him" he sighed 'and I already imprinted the rivalry idea in my class...'
Izuku walked in the hallway removing his armor looking at the new eyecon in his hand
"Thank you your highness" he smiled at the new soul in his hand "you have saved me the trouble on how to punish arrogant beings"
"I am glad to help Izuku" Himiko giggled "and I can see in your future, you gain trusted allies"
'I hope so' he thought 'facing things alone every time will make trouble instead of stopping it...'
When he reunited with his class... He was hugged tightly by Toru and Ochaco
"Midoriya/Deku!" they cried in relief "you're okay...!" the two looked at him "I though you were gonna lose!"
"Easy, easy" he chuckled "you don't have to worry about me" he patted their backs "I'll be fine in this event"
"Got room for one more?"
The three turned to see Mei with her usual smile and holding a pair of items
"Oh hi Hatsume" he greeted as the two girls let go "I see you brought things with you"
"Yep!" she nodded "with you still in the event, I figured you'd like some support from me" before giving the items she had to him "oh I almost forgot to give you another reward!"
"Huh...?" he blinked in confusion
The inventor leaned forward giving him another peck on the cheek surprising him and 1-A "thanks for cheering me up after I lost against Shinso" and ran back to the hallway "good luck!" was her final echo from her
"YOU BASTARD!" Minoru jumped at his classmate in jealous rage which made the boy dodge and the little perv ended up hitting face first on the wall before sliding down slowly groaning in slight pain
"He just got kissed by Hagakure earlier..." Denki muttered with wide eyes "and now he got another one by that eccentric inventor!"
"Don't let him hear you" Mezo whispered "you may end up getting hit again"
Uraraka was quiet as she stared at the empty space feeling an ache in her chest again, Toru on the other hand was looking at things in her classmate's hands
"Izuku" the invisible girl spoke "what did she just give you...?"
"Oh right" he spoke snapping Ochaco's quiet stare to stop "my Edison eyecon after I visited her the first time and a support item I asked her to build" he then looked at the eyecon "how was seeing her work Edison?"
"She has quite the passion" the eyecon chuckled "I never thought there would be anyone who could carry such feelings on being so inventive..."
"I'm glad that you enjoyed her company" he then looked at the support item, a small lantern, and smiled "now to make this baby active..."
'What's Midoriya going to do...?'
The boy used his soul quirk and focused his energy on the support item making it glow before stopping. It started to shake and then the lantern transformed into robot spider
"Eek!" Toru jumped in fear at seeing the thing move "spider...!"
Thankfully she didn't move backward and fall down the stairs...Ochaco blinked at the little thing and touched it feeling the smooth texture of the spider's body
"It's not so bad" the gravity girl giggled "this one's harmless"
The invisible girl was still weary but when she touched the spider she relaxed slightly "you're right!" a giggle was heard from her "it may take some time, but I think I can handle you...!"
As if to reward her bravery, the spider shined it's light at her!
The other members of 1-A blocked the light and when it dimmed they saw their invisible friend visible again...!
"No way!" some of the vocal students pointed at the now visible girl who was looking at herself in surprise
"How did this happen Deku?" Ochaco blinked at the development
"This support item is designed to be a tracker" Izuku explained changing the spider back into a lantern "it will shine its light on anomalies or hidden clues in the area"
"Wow..." she blinked in awe "you must be smart to think that idea"
"It wasn't me Uraraka" he shook his head "my dad thought the theory after my quirk manifested back when I was a kid"
Shouto gripped his arm at the words dad and kid from Izuku's mouth
"Now that the item is a success" he gave it to Toru "you keep it for a while since you would like to share your visibility wish with your family"
The visible girl smiled wide and wrapped her friend in a tight hug
"Thank you so much Midoriya!" she shouted in glee "I can't wait to share this with them and add new pictures in our photo album...!"
While that happened, the 1-B class heard the whole thing...
"That Midoriya is lucky" a few boys in said class grumbled in slight envy
"Indeed" Itsuka stood up "I better go to Recovery Girl'" she said "wouldn't want our nurse stressed when Monoma wakes up"
"Good luck Kendo" they said to their class rep hoping the annoying classmate won't do his usual ranting after he hears about losing against Izuku Midoriya
The final match has now come, Shouto Todoroki vs Hanta Sero... but the match ended quickly when the dual element student used his ice to froze half the area making a giant ice spike freezing his opponent and the R-rated hero's right half body as she and Hanta shivered heavily from the cold
The entire audience was shocked at this display and couldn't even make a word/comment on the short fight
Izuku shook off the fear and immediately helped his classmates get over theirs
"Geeze Todoroki...!" Denki scratched his head "did you have to do that?!"
"A dark display in front of us" Fumikage shivered from the cold air
"Scary!" Minoru shivered both from the cold and fear he's feeling right now
"Ribbit" Tsuyu started to feel sleepy thanks to her amphibious quirk
"How could you bring fear to us Todoroki!" Tenya chopped his arms quickly "you almost made casualties in this match...!"
"He's... something huh Deku?" Ochaco asked her friend
"He is" he nodded before asking "can you use your gravity on me Uraraka? I'd like to help Sero out of the ice he's trapped in"
"Right" she used her finger pad on her friend before he jumped off the spectator area to help his frozen classmate
Izuku made it to the ring and saw his classmate shivering heavily as he tried to stay awake form the coldness of the ice prison
"You okay Sero?" he asked in worry
"A little..." the tape student shivered "are you getting me out?"
"I am" he nodded "I just need you trust me first"
"I do Midoriya" Hanta responded chattering teeth "just help me here..."
"I will" he grasped his face "let me concentrate"
Shouto looked at his classmates before walking away, leaving a stunned crowd as they were still trying to get their bearings from the one-sided battle shown before them
Izuku then helped Midnight out of her icy situation and she was on her knees trying to stay warm from the cold surge earlier
"Thank you Midoriya" she shivered a bit "you're a sweet boy"
"No problem" he smiled "hope you feel better soon" he want back to his shivering classmate and helped him get on the stretcher
A few teachers got their bearings and were talking about Shouto
"That kid is something"
"No kidding! I can feel the cold despite the ice spike on the other side of the place!"
"I hope the next fighter facing him will handle it..."
Meanwhile Endeavor, the number two hero, looked at his son with his usual cold stare
'You're a fool Shouto' he thought 'you can't rely on ice forever...' and decided to help out with the mess when the commentator declared a break from the unbelievable display of Shouto Todoroki and get a breather from the shock...
Author's notes:
Phew what a chapter this one is... Izuku was able to make an impact to the watchers with his match in the first half of the event and I still have the other half to worry on...
Sorry if the intended fight being hyped wasn't what you expected... Neito Monoma wasn't really likable thanks to him openly mocking his rival class at every moment... he still carried that trait whenever he's with 1-B! (hopefully this defeat will help him control that insult habit)
He's like Katsuki Bakugo but the blonde explosive can learn to be better... the mimic student on the other has to have his lesson through fear since his mind was filled with selfish delusion rather than being spoiled by society
Not to mention Vlad King was lenient on Neito's misbehavior and did nothing to warn the other students about the boy's personality...
Now for some questions:
How come Neito can only be intangible if he copied Izuku's quirk?-considering that said quirk is related to the soul... the mimic wanted to be the best, which resulted in intangibility only and since it's a copy of the original... the shivering effect never applies
How was Izuku able to hit Neito when the guy used Hardening?-since this match was about conviction...Neito believed in physical harm but Izuku became so emotional at hearing the his selfish belief. The soul student was able to use a passive ability, which I call soul coating, to strike the soul of his target and give physical sensations (I originally intended Izuku to use Necrom's artificial eyecon, but that is insulting to the boy and his uncle, instead he will use the eyecon on someone who is more worthy to face the controversial hero's power)
