Cael: I activate Kobo dragon!
A bright blue light came from my duel disk as I slammed my sister's card on the card slot. Several sparks came out of the materialized light flew by head. My heart began to race and my palms got sweaty as everything culminated in this one move. Julia looked on astonished and bemused by this single option.
The light nearly blinded me as I saw the revolution of the sun come over the arena. Despite the debilitating light coming from both the sun and the effect of kobo dragon, I stayed the course and looked proudly in front of me!
Julia: W-What's happening?
Cael: Kobo's dragon ability! By discarding him to the graveyard, I can half all of the battle damage I would've taken this turn!
Julia: …!
The missile slowed down as it's quick nimble assault on me turned into a stagnant grind. It was nearly midair before it hit me.
The Missile still exploded of course, but it was much farther away from me than expected. Shrapnel flew everywhere and just nearly missed me and julia. Kobo dragon's magic had protected me and I was grateful for it.
Cael LP: 1750
I still took the damage of course.
Julia: What an interesting card! Halving the damage you take, in exchange for discarding it.
Julia: Though I guess that's all you need, considering that it saves you from total defeat.
The girl rationed as she blew a couple of dust bunnies out her face.
Cael: It's my sister's card. She gave it to me this morning specifically so I could win.
Julia: That's cute. Did your mommy pack you a card too?
She teased and I smirked in response.
Cael: Heh.
Cael: I don't wanna be preachy but It is a sign of our sibling bond. Something you and jermaine could have.
Julia: …..
Cael: Jermaine is a creepy, unflattering, smelly miscreant but even he deserves someone to love and support him.
Cael: As an older sibling, I think it's your duty to protect and nourish your younger one. Just like a praying mantis to its young.
Cael: If we as a society didn't practice the ideals of kinship, I don't think we would have a society left.
I made my spiel to julia, who distinctly rolled her eyes. I truly valued the bond between siblings as I think it's one of the most beautiful things in the world. I don't know if there is a god but if there was one, I think he made the world for siblings to get along and frolic. Although my message didn't seem to get through to julia as she just scoffed at it.
Julia: Nice speech, cael.
Julia: -But it still won't stop me from attacking you! Go inzektor Cricket, Dynamite Drill!
*Shing*
The drill implanted on the inzektor' hand spun around at a very fast pace. The thing basically became a white blur at its speed. Julia's monster lunged towards me with its fully powered drill. Kobo Dragon's magic kicked in again and the monster's attack missed my head by about an inch.
Again, It barely hit but I could feel the shockwave coming from the drill.

Julia: Damn so close…..
Julia: If only I had drawn one of my equip cards. You would have been finished.
Cael: Well you didn't. So that's that.
I sarcastically replied.
Julia: You're not fun, are you?
Cael: (I try to be….)
Julia: I've had so much fun here and yet I still can't get off.
Cael: Stop with the innuendos!
Julia: I swear though cael! Next turn I'll squash you like a bug!
Cael: ….Didn't you say that last turn?
Julia: Quiet!
Julia scowled as she pressed a button on her duel and said:
Julia: I end my turn…..
Cael: (...)
Cael: (This is it….)
It was my turn once more. It might be my last.
Once again, My heart began to beat crazy fast as I gripped the top of my deck. I knew everything depended on this next draw. Cael abel….. That was my name and it rung throughout my head. I had come this far and I knew I could not lose. For the sake of my friends and all of their hopes and dreams… I needed to win!
Cael: I draw!
I yelled. My destiny depended on whichever card that lady fate would give me. Please….
I gripped the top of my deck and slipped the card right off the top of my deck. I closed my eyes briefly before opening them back up again.
Cael: (No way….!)
Destiny answered my question and gave me the card I needed. The card I drew was Parallel Fusion!
Julia: What are you grinning about?
Cael: The tables have turned.
Julia: Oh come on.
Julia began to laugh.
Julia: Like I said before, There's no card in your deck that could possibly save you. None. Nada. Zip. Zero.
Cael: None….. Are you sure about that?
Julia: Yup. I've watched all of your previous duels. I know your deck and all of your cards, There is nothing you can do. Not a chance.
Cael: Really? You watched all of my previous duels? Then you must know about it…..
Julia: It…?
Cael: Yes it…
Julia: I have no idea what you're talking about…..
Cael: Kek. I had a feeling you wouldn't know about this card.
Julia: …..?
Cael: It's a card that runs parallel to our universe, a card that inspires hope in all dimensions, a card that i've relied on in the past….
Julia: What you're talking about-
Cael: Yup! Thats right! Parallel Fusion!
I slammed the card onto my duel disk. A shining light began to pour down on to the field as I sung my requiem.
Cael: This card lets me fuse two creatures together by banishing them from the field or graveyard!
I exclaimed.
Julia: Aie…. Another fusion? Really? I destroyed the last two, what makes you think this one will be able to do anything?
Cael: -Because this one is formed out of me and my sisters bond.
Julia: ….a bond…?
Cael: Yes. Something that you and jermaine need desperately.
Julia: …
Julia was silent as I shook my head in disgust.
Cael: Now then, Let the fusion commence!
My hands buckled and I prepared for this epic event.
Cael: i'll banish parallel warrior zio from my graveyard and Kobo dragon on the field!
A dark but glowing fusion vortex appeared in the ground. Stars and other space material floated around in the spinning vortex, the enigma in which it created was beautiful as it slowly churned around the field.
Kobo dragon and Zio both evaporated into dozens of particles which spread across the vortex like butter. As the vortex kept spinning their two sets of particles began to mix together and create something new. A blinding light came out of the eye of the vortex then came a ginormous shockwave. A new fusion was coming and I could sense it in my soul.
Cael: Come Parallel Warrior Kobo Zio!
A burst of energy came out of the center of the vortex as it collapsed in on itself. A new hero was born and was coming into this world.
Lightning struck the field,Streaks of pure white crackled against a stormy blanket of grey, shrouding hot silver clouds with its blinding incandescence, emanating the might of an imminent tempest. Jagged bolts endlessly protrude, filling the sky with undying flashes of radiance.
Out of that lightning came kobo zio. As his name suggested he was a fusion of Kobo dragon and my ace parallel warrior zio. He had the blue and yellow coloration of kobo dragon with a moon crescent on his chest which signified him a member of the kobo clan. Kobo Zio had a dragon-like appearance with scales on his back and two tiny wings to match. He gripped a sword that was nearly twice the length of his body, A wide hilt with blue-yellow coloration and a magnificent sheen that glowed in the sunlight. He truly was a warrior of duality.

Julia: Woah…. What is that…?
Cael: The culmination of my bond with my sister!
Julia: You…..!
Julia: Ahahaha…..
She began to giggle.
Julia: A silly little fusion. Nothing like an ojou-sama in an anime. It's pointless!
She cackled.
Julia: Do you really think you can defeat my inzektor with that piss-ant?
Cael: I don't think I can … I know I can.
My hands instinctively switched with a forceful nature. I closed my eyes as I put my fate into the power of this new card!
Cael: I activate the effect of Kobo zio!
Kobo zio raised his sword to the sky and chanted a couple of words. I could feel everything shifting between me and zio. A blie sparkling light came from the tip of his sword and sprinkled down onto the field. All of julia's monsters were hit by this light and began to enfeeble. Inzektor exa-beetle kneeled down in his weakened state and his cricket pawn nearly fell over on its side.
Cael: With his power he can halve all of your monsters attack points!
Julia: Nani?

A grim look materialized on julia's face, She realized that her long reign of insectous supremacy was over. I could sense something changing in julia as she…. Well.. just changed. Her whole demeanor as she turned into a glum little girl.
Julia: No…..!
Cael: You know…. Its funny. Since the beginning, You've been saying that I couldn't win and that I was doomed.
Cael: I almost believed that, You almost convinced me that I couldn't win.
Cael: - But deep down in my heart, I knew I had to win. For the sake of my friends and family who depended on me.
Cael: so julia, my question to you is: who depends on you?
Julia: Grk…!
Cael: Hmph.
I clenched my fist.
Cael: Now, Parallel warrior kobo zio! Attack inzektor exa-beetle! Light piercing slash!
A glint appeared in zio's eyes with him preparing to take on the huge beast.
Kobo Zio unsheathed his long sword and pointed it at the inzektor exa-beetle. His sword was colored blue and yellow just like his body. His sword turned red and began to buzz like a saw as he leapt into the air.
Cael: Oh yeah…. Did I mention that his atk points double when he attacks a monster with different atk points than its original status?
Julia: WHAT?

As kobo zio was in the air, he slashed downward and his body fell to the earth like a meteor. His sword shined blue in the neocian air as he descended downward like the angel he was. Zio grabbed the hilt of his blade and slammed down!
*Shttck!*
Instead of hitting Exa-beetle, The sword hit the ground causing a massive shockwave. A blinding blue flash of light came after which blinded me, the crowd and julia. A huge blast came after this and sliced right through Julia's monster. His golden sheek armor was but a sheet of paper compared to the light that cut him in half. The once mighty inzektor exa-beetle was nothing more than an empty husk of scrap after kobo zio was done with him.

A massive explosion broke out afterwards causing julia to wince in despair. Her monster was now nothing but shambles in the wind.
Julia: No…
Cael: *Tsk*
I smirked.
Cael: It's over julia…..
Julia: I still have my cricket…..
She bemoaned.
Cael: Not for long! I activate 'knockout punch'!
The trap card I had set a couple of turns ago flipped over. It's artwork depicted a short small boxer punching upward at a much larger boxer.
Cael: -By reducing Parallel warrior kobo zio's attack by 1000 points, He can attack again!
Julia: ….!
Parallel warrior kobo zio

Julia this time, really realized that everything was over. I simply shook my head at the simply sultry girl. Julia's insects had surely caused me mayhem and despair but now it was all over.
Cael: Time to clip your wings…! (Ugh, That pun sucked…)
Cael: Parallel warrior kobo zio! Finish this! Final Sword slash!
Zio's eyes lit up with bravery and a sense of justice. He wanted to end this duel just as much as I did. He leaped into the air with the sun behind him, He slashed downward! Sparks flew through the air while his sword cleaved through every atom of this place. The sparks made a v shape behind him as he pushed downward in the air.
Julia: It's just….. As beautiful as a butterfly….!
Julia's eyes sparkled in the light of her defeat. All this time she spent mocking me and the power of my bonds and yet she was the one to lose because of her lack of faith in them. In a way, it was poetic, My fusion of my and my sister's monster had beaten her xyz made up of only her monsters - a sibling fusion had beaten her selfish XYZ monster.
*shink*
Kobo zio's sword cleaved right through the cricket's soft armor. An explosion of blue light occurred and a cloud of dust appeared as julia's cricket was defeated.
The duel was finally over and my struggle with julia's carnivorous insects was over. My warriors had prevailed and most important of all - I would move on to the semi finals. Julia was a opponent but with the power of my sister's card I was able to defeat her.
It was always my destiny to win.
