After eating and chatting with my friends I went back home. Today certainly was….. eventful. Between leonaidis's shocking domination of Azuma to my shock win against Julia, it certainly was a day to remember. Whatever the matter, I'm glad that I made it to the second round.
I walked down the street of my home before stopping right in front of my house. I sighed and said:
Cael: Ahaha….. I just can't wait to lay on my soft fluffy bed…
I chortled as I opened my door.
When I entered, I was immediately greeted by my mom and sister. They were standing near the door as if they were waiting for me to come home.
Mom: Cael! You're back!
She exclaimed.
Bonnie: Big bro!
They both said as I stepped into the living room. My mother rushed towards me and cried.
Mom: I knew you wouldn't disappoint me!
She wrapped her arms around and squeezed tightly. I felt the air go out of my lungs as I was nearly suffocated.
Cael: Mom… Too tight…..
I gasped.
Mom: Oh *Sniff* You reminded me so much of your father…. Winning in a spectacular glory like that….
Mom: Ah…. He would be so proud of you!
Cael: Mom….
She let go and Gave me a kiss on the forehead.
Cael: You know mom, without your little pep-talk this morning I don't think I would've won.
Mom: Oh please, don't flatter me darling.
I turned to Bonnie, who was graciously hugging me.
Bonnie: Thanks for using my card big brother!
Cael: Heh, No problem biscuit….
Cael: Kobo dragon saved my bacon during the duel and I don't I could've won without him! I should be thanking you….
I patted her head.
Bonnie: Ehehe!
Cael: How about tomorrow, I bake you some honey cake later?
Bonnie: Wow, Honey cake!? Yay!
Bonnie cheered. My mother gave me a quick glance as she knew I wasn't supposed to feed bonnie sweets but nonetheless gave an exception.
Cael: Hey mom, I would stay around for dinner but I think I'm just gonna head upstairs.
Mom: Ok sweetie.
My mother kissed me one last time before I headed upstairs to rest. The truth is I never wanted to stay downstairs to be honest; but I felt the need to lead them both on. Nonetheless I went upstairs with both of them in my heart. I entered my room then stretched and yawned. It had been such a long day and I was ready to rest.
I jumped into bed and cuddled my pillow and blanket.
I rolled over on my back and stared at the ceiling. I had won the day against julia but would my friends win against their adversaries? Only time would tell…..
