Chapter 27

The class head back out to the windmill generators and Melissa points up to the scaffolding, "There! There's an emergency exit we can enter!"

"All the way up there?" Izuku muses.

"It'll take forever for all of us to get there." Iida declares.

"But we have Ochaco!" Melissa grabs the brunettes hands, "Your quirk makes anything you touch weightless, right?" Uraraka can feel her hands tremble despite her brave face, "So this should be easy."

Determined to not fail Uraraka nods. "Leave it to me! Melissa, hang on to Deku!"

"Ok!" She latches her arms around the green haired teen's shoulders, "And Parker-san, you swing them up!"

"Got it." He fires a web strand and hands the end to Izuku, "Don't do anything stupid while you're up there, Midoriya."

He smirks, "How can I? You're keeping all the stupid with you."

Peter huffs despite himself, "Always gotta have the last word." And he offers his fist.

Midoriya fist bumps him and Peter steps back and Uraraka takes his place, she meets his eyes nervously but smiles nonetheless, "Do your best Deku-Kun!"

His heart flips as he remembers when she had turned his world right side up by giving the name that was once used to torment him a new and hopeful meaning. To do his very best. She smiles just as brightly as she did then, filling him with iron strong courage and he returns it unwaveringly, "I will, Thank you Uraraka, I mean it." He replies softly.

She clears her throat and then touches the pair, her finger pads glowing momentarily and the two are released from gravity's hold on them. Peter steps back until the web strand is taught and he starts swinging them in a circle to build up momentum until he finally heaves them towards the emergency exit. Midoriya activates One fro All, anticipating their collision to the walk way and effortlessly reaches the top without problem. Seeing that the pair has made it, Uraraka releases her quirk.

Peter turns to Gwen, "Guess it's our turn."

But the blonde is looking down over the railing. She gulps as she sees just how far they are to the ground. "H-How exactly do you plan on getting us down again?"

Peter takes a look at the class, who shrug or whistle while avoiding eye contact. The only one who gives him anything to work with was Todoroki who simply shrugs. "Like a band aid."

Peter gets his meaning and grabs ahold of Gwen's waist. And he gently says, "… We're gonna jump off the building now."

"WHAT?! AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Gwen shrieks as she clings onto Peter for dear life while diving down from the main tower.

Peter cringes as his left ear drum rings from the intense noise. "Ah my ear!"

"Sorry! Sorr—oup!" She yelps as he shoots a web that halts their descent and he starts to swing them downward.

"OkOk! I won't look Down! Just not gonna watch!" She whimpers as she digs her face into Peter's shoulder, trying to focus on anything but the somersaults in her stomach as they continue their descent, despite Spider-Man's efforts in downplaying the swings motions.

Spidey whoops as he does one last web yank before finally settling down to ground level. Yelping in fear, Gwen shoves off of Peter frantically patting herself down as if she lost any limbs while Peter lifts his mask worriedly, revealing his bruised and sweat soaked face.

"Are you ok?"

"Do I look ok!? - Sorry sorry, that was… really unsettling."

Spider-Man nods in agreement, "It does take some getting used to."

"Yea no I'd rather not get used to that."

She presses her ear where the earpiece Momo had created was firmly placed. "Can everyone hear us alright?"

The voices can be heard but the static was there, giving a clear indication of their close proximity to their electric enemy.

"Just about. You should be right next to the main doors that leads down to the generator. You two need to hurry! Things are beginning to look bad!" Yaoyorozu notifies them.

True to her words, the two witness as grid by grid, bright pulses erupt along the floating city then powers down. The blackout expands little by little while the areas that still have power unleashes a higher output than normal as energy pulses in small explosions and bolts. Far from them, panicked citizens try to find refuge as lights erupt and spark. Yellow lightning shoot out randomly from broken screens and lights, destroying pavements and vehicles on impact.

The Two share a worried look at the grim scenery and Gwen tells him, "We need to go now."

She then leads the pair through the doors and head deeper into the corridor. To speed things up Peter loops his arm around her waist and swings, cutting their journey down significantly. They get to security checkpoint that leads to the main entrance as well as stairs that lead to different areas. The pair are queasy as they see the guards who were stationed there are now crisp and smoking skeletal husks. Their Armor melted down as they were likely fried to death. Gwen holds her hands to her mouth as she gasps. "He-He killed them."

You killed them Peter. A voice he tries to ignore whispers to him, This is happening because of you. "Shut up." He growls to himself.

"You say something?"

He quickly thinks up a lie, "No, just trying not to barf at the smell of burnt human flesh."

"Tell me about it. So what's the gameplan?"

"Well I'd say a good guess is that the stairs there might lead to the control station, it should give us a good look at everything."

"Right!"

The two rush up the stairs and Peter kicks down the door. Once again, security guards lay murdered on the ground and the window pane overlooking the entire grid was blasted and melted down. Revealing Electro at the center of the coils, siphoning energy from the main lines he had destroyed and blasting bolts from his body. "What's he doing?"

"Looks like he's expelling excess energy he just can't keep inside himself. He must have a limit to how much charge his body can hold, guess he's still human after all." Spider-Man surmises.

"Must be a vast limit if he can still affect the islands generator." She retorts.

"You got me there. Ok, those lines he destroyed, I think my webs can fix it up, but that won't help much since he's already drained so much power."

"If you reconnect those lines with him in it somehow, I'll be able to flip the system so it feeds off him instead, resetting the entire the island." Gwen supplies, with no ounce of hesitancy.

"Alright. I'll handle Electro you get ready, stay out of sight. No matter what, when I tell you to turn it on, you turn it on." He orders her.

Worried she tries to stop him, "Peter—"

But he's not taking no for an answer. "No. Matter. What!"

Gulping she wordlessly nods but watches him leap out the opening in concern.

Back in the medical ward, the remaining students of class 1A are left to wait much to their frustration and annoyance. The air is thick with tension, everyone unable to utter a word, their tongues as heavy as lead in their mouths while they wait. The only sound being made was Kaminari's foot tapping in a fast pace. Momo on the other hand stares at a watch she had created, eyes boring a whole into the small device as the seconds tick, each tick loud as a bell in her head.

"How much time do we have left?" Iida asks.

"6 minutes 45 seconds." Momo answers.

"What if he—" Momo cuts off Jiro.

"He'll make it." She states firmly, her trust in her friend remaining unshaken despite the seemingly hopeless odds.

Jiro isn't as trusting as she tries again, "But what if he—"

This time Momo answers with a firm finality. "He'll make it. I know he will."

With no choice but to accept the answer and hope along with her class, Jiro remains silent. Until Kaminari asks, "Hey where did Hatsume go?"

The class is distracted from their dark thoughts as they all look to see that where Hatsume had once stood, now is only an empty space.

Jiro and Mina share a look as they share a moment of realization, "You don't think she—" Mina begins to ask.

"I think she did."

Spider-Man lands on a coil, the sound drawing Electro's attention. The Electrified villain smirks smugly, "Spider-Man was it? How you liking the power boost?"

"I'm not liking the fact that you're putting everyone on this island at risk just cause you're on a power ride. Now how bout we skip the fight and get to the part where you surrender?" Peter asks as he gets into a defensive stance.

"Hmmmm…. Nah!" And he fires a bolt of lightning at the teen.

"Worth a shot." Peter sighs as he dives off the coil, avoiding the electric blast.

Uses the large coils to his advantage as he swings throw them just as electro blasts one apart. Peter uses the momentum of the blast to swing even faster and kicks the fiend in the face. Electro snarls in rage and fires lightning bolt after lightning bolts at the webhead but each one misses it's mark as the teen gracefully leaps and twirls in the air and out the way of the attacks. "Never gonna hit me with aim like that Maxxy!"

A vein becomes increasingly prominent on the villains head as he growls, "I told you it's Electro goddammit!"

He fires a fierce blast directly in front of him as Spider-Man was perched onto a coil. But it's exactly what the American wanted as he leaps off the coil right in time to avoid the shot and the resulting explosion hits Electro dead on, sending the villain skidding down the ground. Spidey quickly slingshots his opponent as he tries to float back into the air, crushing him to the ground, which craters under them. "Now you ready to give up?"

Electro roars as bolts arc off his body in deadly volts, blasting the teen off of him and spasming from the electric attack. Peter's spider sense quickly saves his life as he instinctively back flips off the ground and into the air, the area he was at exploding violently as the now enraged villain starts to fight with renewed ferocity. He blasts apart the web strand the Spider powered teen was swinging from, but Spider-Man catches himself on another coil and swings his lower body into a rapid turn, just as Electro shatters the structure he was attached to only a moment ago. Thinking quick, Electro shoots the surface the web strand Spider-Man shot was about to attach to. The sudden loss of momentum catches the wallcrawler by surprise, plummeting the teen down to ground level but Peter recovers instantly, parkouring through the debris and falling coils as the villain tries to bury the teen.

Spider-Man stops on a dime and faces the villain and somersaults over the lightning bolt. Mid flip he shoots webs at the flying debris and as he flips right side up and hurls the webbed up objects in a collision course to the flying villain. Electro was able to blast some away but he still took damage from the debris that made it through. The villain didn't gather his bearings in time as Spidey followed up the distraction with a web stomp, practically surfing the ground with the electrified villain then grabbing the floor ahead of him, seamlessly flipping and using his adhesive feet to hurl the villain in the air. Electro stops himself but Peter fires two weblines onto his chest. Fucking idiot! Electro thinks as he grabs the weblines and arcs lightning through the strands. But to his astonishment, the teen is unaffected as the web shooters absorb the charge.

Peter grins beneath his mask, "Oh, thank you Gwen Stacy!"

He curls his hands around the web and slams the Villain back to earth. Electro hacks up in pain as he's slammed headfirst and is left in a daze. "This ain't happening. This ain't happening you hear me?! This is my turf! This is my domain!"

He glares hatefully at the spider themed teen who had just slingshot himself like a bullet right at Electro. Moving quickly he siphons up extreme amount of power around him to the point that it's beginning to cause him physical pain but his rage blinds him. He then releases a guttural roar as just before Peter touches him, he releases a devastating electric shockwave that flings the hero back. Every nerve ending in his nervous system is alive and screaming as the lightning arcs through every point of his being. Peter twitches on the ground after landing in a heap, struggling to get up.

"PeZZZ… PeZZer. Peter? Peter can you hear me?! Peter please tell me you're ok!" He hears Gwen yell into his earpiece.

His shaking hand reaches the earpiece and presses it, "Still in one piece!... somehow."

"Thank god," he hears her sigh, "I'm sorry Peter but whatever you need to do you need to do it quicker, we only have 3 minutes left before the whole island is blacked out!"

He groans as he pushes himself up, "Getting, agh, right to it!"

He rolls onto his back and props himself up on his elbows with his knees bent. He huffs, "Come on Spidey shake it off! It's just your bones, your muscles, and your organs!" He shakes his head roughly, then his spider sense tingles.

Quicker than even he could react, Electro rushes him with a frenzy giving him two electrified hooks that stun him and then hitting him with a blast of electricity that erupts from the villains mouth like a geyser. Peter yells in pain, his heart beating erratically as he's burst through 4 coils, with the last construct falling onto him, adding even more pain. Electro uses his electric might to magnetically lift the fallen chunks of metal and fling them haphazardly at the teen who ignores the pain as best he can, swinging around a towering coil in an effort to, successfully, escape the barrage.

"Parker-san."

"Yea Iida?" Spider-Man grunts as he slides under rubble.

"The Island is almost depleted of power!"

"I know."

"You're running out of time!"

"I know!"

"You need to defeat Electro!"

"WORKING ON IT IIDA ACCK!"

Due to the distraction Peter gets caught by an electric shock and falls towards the floor. His fall is stopped much to his chagrin as Electro blasts him higher in the air and then binds his limbs and torso in snares of energy. The Teen grits his teeth as he struggles but the energy is beginning to prove too much.

Electro grins darkly as he relishes in the teens squirming. "What's wrong bug? Ain't got anymore cheeky jokes to say? Kinda disappointed."

His energy pulses as he puts more power into his attack and Peter screams louder from the pain. "but I like the screaming way more anyway." He says with a laugh.

All hope seems to be lost, until black wires suddenly capture Electros arms and legs, "Hey what the—"

The Villain is thrown through two coils but a security drone being rode on by none other than Mei Hatsume. Hopping off the Security drone she takes aim with the REC gun she used to dispatch the Security Drones earlier. Only this time at its end was the miniature accelerator she had shown Peter and Tony on their flight to I-Island

With a fierce glare, she fires the accelerator and just as she had hoped, it blew up just like so many of her babies before. Only this time it's exactly what she wanted as the accelerator exploded on impact with Electro, though not with as much strength as it would've had it not been temporarily disabled by Stark. It was still enough to daze the villain to give them a breather.

Thanks to her intervention, the electric assault on the poor spider ends and he falls to a heap. From up above Gwen laughs in relief as her childhood friend was saved. Peter struggles to get back up and Mei rushes him, pulling him up form under his arms. He still holds her to steady himself.

"Hatsume!? What the hell are doing here?!" His chastise is strained after enduring the prolonged electrical attack.

She huffs, though her anxious expression betrays the playful tone she adopts, "you really think I'd let you see I-Islands generator without me?"

He straightens himself out, eventually getting a grip on himself and stifling his body's latent spasming. "This isn't a game Hatsume! You shouldn't be here!"

He smacks a hand to his battered chest, adopting a fierce look that's even more intimidating given he's never seen her without her carefree smile, "I watched you die! I wasn't gonna let it happen a second time! So regardless of how you feel, I'm staying!"

He lets out a weak chuckle, "Fine, Thanks." He looks where Electro was currently under.

"That's not gonna keep him down for long."

"You have an idea?"

Peter takes out 4 web cartridges, "This is insanely dangerous but we have no other choice, take these and plant them on the broken powerlines, I'll get him there. Gwen! Get ready!"

"Here," She hands him rubber gloves, "Nabbed these from the med ward, better than nothing!"

"Thanks, Now go!"

Hatsume uses the security drone to get her to the center of the Generator, unable to take a second to marvel at the machinery as time was not on their side. She quickly plants them and she yells back as she hops off the platform, "Got it!"

"Clear out!"

Peter throws a protected punch at Electro's jaw, rocking the villain, "Not you sparkles, we still got some things to chat about!"

Electro rubs his chin, "How?!"

"Rubber no conductive!" Peter cheekily answers as he dashes into electro's face to deliver another one-two hit and drop kick before blinding him with webs and swinging under him to come up with a hard kick to his back that smashes him to the ceiling.

"So much for all that big talk! You can dish it but you can't—whoa!"

Peter instinctively puts his gloved hands in the way, taking the brunt of the electric bolt that erupted from Electro's back. The force still brought him down. Peter swings before he reaches the ground as he rubs his chest, "Oh me and my big spider mouth!"

Thankfully Electro was still blinded by his webs so Peter once again slingshots himself to the villain then shoots web lines down to the platform in the middle of the broken power lines and yanks them down with electro at his feet. This part is gonna really sting.

"Is this all you got? So much for Max-imum effort!"

Practically seething, Electro rips off the webs from his face and glares wildly at the teen, "IT'S ELECTRO!"

He erupts into another electric shockwave that flings Peter off of him and crashing to the ground. Unbeknownst to the villain, it's exactly what Peter wanted as his energy bolts punctured the planted web cartridges and the conductive webs ensnares the villain, coincidentally connecting him to the power lines as he sits directly in the center.

Thinking quick, Peter web yanks himself to Mei and huddles her underneath him as he yells at the top of his voice, "NOW GWEN! NOW DO IT NOOOOOOOOOOOOW!"

Her fingers race along the keyboard and the system flips. Electro realizes too late what happens and an agonizing shriek ruptures out his throat as the power is drained from his body at a rapid rate, draining him his power and strength. On the flipside, everywhere on I-Island power is restored, buildings light back up illuminating the once dark city. Electro screams with all he has, head thrown back and back arched as one final shockwave erupts, stabilizing the power grid.

All is silent for a moment as Gwen slowly lifts herself up, having ducked under the work station. She tentatively peers through the broken glass as the smoking form of Electro can be seen. He's still alive. Barely conscious as he was left in a similar state he had put Kaminari in recently, the only difference his that he now has a star like scar on his face that is very reminiscent to his mask that was blown off during the final attack. He slowly loses consciousness as all his strength is gone. The only thing that was left in his mind was one hatefilled thought, Spider…Man.

Gwen presses her earpiece. "Peter? Peter are you still there?"

Silence.

Gwen begins to panic, panting. "Peter!?"

"Hey!"

She looks over the broken glass and sees Peter with his mask half torn and tears and scrapes all over his suit and body, but otherwise alive, waving with Mei standing next to him. She sighs in relief, "Thank god." She whispers.

Down with Spider-Man, he helps Mei bacl onto her feet and asks, "How'd you get down here so quick?"

"Used the mini accelerator and hot wired a drone." She answers with a shrug and a half smile.

He grins affectionately, "You're a crazy, reckless genius you know that?"

She playfully punches his shoulder, "Takes one to know."

Peter then addresses Gwen once again,

"Sorry I didn't say anything! That last blast fried my earpiece. Think uh, think you can update everyone?" He sees as he leaps up to the now defeated villain and checks his pulse, relieved to see that he's still alive.

Gwen slaps her forehead, "Right yea. Guys can you hear me?!"

"Yes! Is Everyone ok? Is Peter ok?!" Momo asks concerned.

"Everyones good." She replies reassuringly, "The powers restored! Melissa, you hear me?!"

"Already on it!"

Minutes earlier

Melissa, where's the control room?" Midoriya asked her as they ran down a hall.

"In front of the central elevator." Melissa answered.

Midoriya and Melissa rush to a corner and huddle, with Midoriya peeking around it.

"Someone's here." Midoriya whispered to Melissa, seeing two people in the room.

"Papa?" Melissa questioned.

"Oh, it is!" Midoriya realized. But his glee turns to alarm when he realizes that they're not by themselves.

Wolfram is with him along with one other henchman.

"Did the villains bring him here to force him to do something?" Midoriya wondered.

"We have to save him!" Melissa told Midoriya.

"Wait." Midoriya tells her.

True he'd like nothing more than to cut in and save David shield and his assistant from the clutches of the villain, but the situation is very fragile. Wolfram's quirk is unknown to him. If he goes in guns blazing, he may end up getting David killed.

"We have to wait until we can get a chance to rescue your father." He explains.

It's not enough to ease the fright that's choking her, but it's enough to wake the logical part of her brain that beats out her familial instincts. The two watch as a distraught David Shield is forced to watch the monitor that gives them a live feed of all the happenings on the island, including the battle Peter is in with Electro at that very moment. Midoriya pays particular attention to it but to his dismay, a stray blast from Electro destroys the camera and ends the feed in static, leaving him blind to his friends circumstances.

"What is this Sam!? The villains! They were supposed to be fake! This was all supposed to be an act!"

Sam himself is horrified, not daring to meet his long time friends eyes.

Wolfram scoffs, "Of course it was an act. But the real performance was acting like we weren't criminals."

"No." the small shocked voice of Melissa whispers.

Midoriya watches as the shine in her eyes dim and her face falls as if the world as crumbled around her.

"Wait Melissa!" He yells and pushes her out the way just in time to save her from being sideswiped by the Green goblin's glider. Unfortunately for him, he took the full brunt of the force right in his chest.

Brandishing a lasso of wire, The Green Goblin throws it around Midoriya's waist, going taught thanks to the force of the hit and he yanks him back down to the floor with a devastating pull.

Izuku exclaims as he's smashed back and forth on the sturdy metal surfaces before being released and dropped into the room, where the thud of his body hitting the floor alerts the other members. Before he had a chance to recover, Wolfram touches the floor and a metal fence in the room binds Midoriya completely and muzzles his mouth. His struggles are cut short as the metal traps him against the wall, getting dazed as his head met the surface.

Melissa breaths shakily as Goblin turns on his glider, his sickening grin widening as his piercing yellow eyes penetrates her soul. "Did you really think I wouldn't notice you bombing your way in? I allowed you to get this far simply because this revelation," He gestures towards her father like a TV Host, "Would be to good to pass up! HEHEH!"

"Don't hurt her!" David exclaims, but the henchman slams the back of his knee with the butt of his gun.

"Papa!" she yells as he crumples to the floor with pain.

Goblin grabs the back of her neck tightly and lifts her effortlessly. Midoriya raves and struggles against the metal bindings but Wolfram simply tightens it's grip and places another one right on his throat.

Green Goblin slyly smirks as he acts in a confused yet mocking manner. "'Don't hurt her?' Now you care about her safety? After all you put your poor child through?"

David is clearly distraught, gripping his hair. Goblin gasps dramatically, "Oops! Did I spill the beans?" He cackles and turns Melissa to him, she struggles to lean away from the monster, amusing him greatly at her discomfort. "That's deary. You're father was the one who set all the wheels into motion." He drops her to the floor carelessly and then orders Shield, "Go ahead, tell her!"

Full of shame and unable to look at his daughter, he does as told. "… I-I… It's true. All of it."

Trying to support his colleague, Sam quickly explains, "The professor is only trying to get back what was stolen from him. This groundbreaking invention that mechanically amplifies quirks…" Sam answered, gesturing to the case in hand.

It amplifies quirks…? Midoriya repeats in his head.

Sam continues to explain in David's stead. "It is still in testing, but with this device, unlike with drugs, quirks can be amplified without affecting the body. However, the sponsors confiscated this invention and research data. The research itself was also frozen. If this was made known to the world, then the structure of superhuman society would change drastically. Fearing that, governments from different nations put pressure on him. That's why the professor…"

David decides to man up and explain the rest himself. "I made the decision to take it back."He tearfully gazes into his daughters eyes, willing her to believe him, "We were only supposed to hire fake villains! No one was supposed to get hurt! I-I didn't mean for this-This madness!"

"You can thank your buddy Sam for that." Wolfram notifies him with a smug smirk.

Dave glances at his friend in betrayal, "He contacted us and then lied to you about it al cause he wanted a cut of the pay day."

"sam?!"

"I'm sorry David. I-I was angry t you for letting them take our work. It was my life! I just wanted something to show for it."

"A sad bunch ain't they Goblin?"

"Pathetically sad." The green Goblin agrees with a girn.

David looks like he was going to be sick and Melissa? Why she felt nothing but shame for her father. She couldn't believe it, the man she looked up to so much could willingly do something so heinous. Even if it was supposed to be fake at first, it was a line that he clearly crossed.

"look at your daughter David! Hahahaha! It's like she can't stand the sight of you!" Goblin gleefully points out, having hopped off his glider and forcefully lifting David's head and holding his eyes open so he can see the heartbreaking expression.

"You think that's bad now, wait until she hears the reason Why! This is where it gets good ladies and gentlemen!"

Melissa bores a whold in her fathers eyes as she ask in a barely perceptible whisper, "Why papa?"

"It is for All Might." Her father muttered. Midoriya stiffens as Dave explained, "You two probably don't know, but his quirk is disappearing."

Midoriya's heart dropped as he worries where this is going.

"However, if he uses my device, then it can go back to normal. It can give him more abilities than he started with. The number one hero… The Symbol of Peace… can get his light back again…"

"And there's the irony for me! All these people, are dead because of your choices! The danger the island was put in," The lights shimmer and dim, the effects from Electro's machinations being felt. The blinking light casts the Goblins face in a terrible shadow giving him the appearance of a demon that rose from hell. "All the blood spilt tonight was ironically in the name of the Symbol of Peace1 Even if he got the device from you, his legacy would forever be tainted red thanks to you Dr Shield!"

The realization disturbs the support scientist more than anything as he realizes he's right. If All Might were to accept the device, he would accepted the unnecessary sacrifice of innocent life just for him to keep his power. It betrayed everything he stood for, what the Symbol of peace stood for. He realizes now just how far his betrayal ran. He truly betrayed all Might.

The goblin relishes in the utter turmoil the scientists are under, nearly salivating as he sees the collapse of David Shield's mind as he comes to the devastating realization of his actions. "Now he sees it!"

"Goblin." Wolfram calls.

The grin turns into a sneer, "What?!"

"Times ticking boss. We gotta take the device now."

Goblin glares at him as he walks over to Sam and yanks it out of his grasp. He stands with it in hand, his back still to Wolfram. "You were so eager to get ahold of this ever since we decided to join forces for this… mission."

Wolfram narrows his eyes at the villain, eyeing him with the same distrust he's had from the very moment they met. "I researched you, you know? Very powerful that quirk of yours. To bad it was never powerful enough to live up to your ancestors. Is this what it's always been about for you? To prove that your name deserves to be written in history beside Erik Lensherr?"

Midoriya notices that as he's speaking, Goblin is doing something with his hands on the device, but the view is too obscured for him to know what.

Wolfram grabs Goblin's shoulder and forces himself right into his face, "Don't talk about things you'll never understand! Now give me the damn box!"

Goblin simply shrugs with a smirk and hands it to him, his hands coming up in a sign of surrender. "Apologies! But now that we have what we came for it's time to end this party and send everyone packing, starting with you!"

Goblin nods at the henchman who points his gun at Melissa.

"No!" David screams as Melissa gasps and Midoeriya struggles against the metal even with One for all.

The gun is fired and blood sprays onto the device. David collapses to the floor after taking the bullet meant for his daughter, with Melissa gasping in horror.

"PAPA!"

Despite the pain he pushes his daughter towards the exit, "get out of here!"

The henchman points his gun at Shield but Wolfram stops him, "No. He can't be a support scientist for heroes anymore." He smirks darkly, "So form now on, he's gonna support us!"

And he kicks Dave across the face, producing a gash on his cheek.

"Leave him alone!" Melissa screams but she's cut short as Wolfram touches the ground and metal rips off the walls like blades and surround her, "he's coming with us, whether you like it or not. It'll probably be a lot easier if we get rid of his attachments!"

"Stop it…!" Midoriya growls, "Don't you hurt them!" His anger empowers him and he finally breaks free of his binds, getting the villain's attention as he races for him, crying, "Smash!"

The Wolfram springs up a metal wall between him and Midoriya, just as the latter throws a One for All empowered punch that still manages to warp the metal in a massive crater. Thankfully Melissa is on his side of the wall. While still pressing into it, he glances at her, they communicate with their eyes letting her know that he'll save her father and Sam. Knowing what must be done, she nods in understanding and climbs back onto her feet. She sprints to her fathers lab.

Midoriya removes his protected fist from the wall, and races to maneuver himself around the massive metal construct but was stopped in his tracks by another metal wall, with others blocking his other way out soon after. Seeing no other way, Midoriya jumps up, landing on the room wall before jumping to the other side, and scaling up. Meanwhile Melissa runs out of the room, with the armed henchman hot on her tail but Midoriya lands in front him.

"I won't let you pass me!" Midoriya declares as delivers a double backflip kick that would've made Peter proud with such force that the villain was lodged into a cramped space between machinery. His victory was short lived as Wolfram pins him against the wall with another wall block.

Goblin giggles as he hops back onto his glider, "I see you have everything under control so I'll leave you to it Wolfie. So long young ones, we'll have much more fun the next time we meet!"

He cackles as he escapes the lab, leaving Wolfram behind. That bastard! Said villains screams in his head.

Melissa sprints down the hall as hard as her legs can take her and beyond. She's closing in on her fathers lab when she's alerted in her earpiece,

"The powers restored! Melissa, you hear me?!"

Relief fills her and her determination is tripled, "already on it!"

She reaches the lab and instantly gets to work on the computer system. Her battle is going on with the same intensity as Midoriya as they unknowingly share the same thoughts,

'Everyone…' Midoriya grits his teeth.

'Everyone…' Melissa wipes her eyes.

'All Might…'

'Papa…' Melissa softly thinks as her fingers move like lightning on the keyboard.

'I will definitely…' Midoriya vows.

'I will definitely… save you!' Melissa finishes typing, the lights on the computer turning green.

Everywhere on the island the robots are deactivated. Tsuyu and Hagakure sees the alert on their TV return to normal and Hagakure checks her phone, "I have service again!"

In the Ballroom, the tape capturing the heroes came off, freeing them.

"Wh-What's happened all of a sudden?"

"What happened?"

"Damn it!"

The guards in the hall gulp in fright as the vengeful heroes quickly turn their attention to their would be attackers and proceed to knock them out, the guests cheering while All Might sat on the stage, coughing.

He quickly gets to Tony's side and rips off the small device that was attached to his hand, crushing it for good measure and stopping the continued assault on the Genius' Arc Reactor.

"Stark?"

"Already on it Might guy." The billionaire informs him as he quickly taps his watch, calling on his armor.

"They really did it." All Might whispers breathlessly.

In the medical ward the lights have returned and class peer out the entrance and sees that the remaining security drones have shut down. "They did! Power's restored and Midoriya and Melissa have wrestled back control of the island!" Iida exclaims.

"I knew it!" Mina pumps her fist in the air with a hop.

Momo grins and laughs breathlessly, "I knew they could it!" She presses the earpiece, "Gwen! They did it!"

Now standing out side of the Generator entrance, Gwen starts screaming in happiness, "They did it! The Island's safe!"

Mei starts exclaiming excitedly as Peter sits on his butt on the ground, relieved after finally hearing good news. "Never had a doubt!"

"Looks like this night is finally turning around!" Hatsume warmly states.

But that statement makes Peter's blood run cold. "No. Why did you say that!?"

"Say wha—"

The top of the tower shakes as an explosion goes off and not only that but blue lights have snaked down like a disease, marring the once beautiful structure. Peter drops his head into his hands with a groan, "Oh come on! Can't this night just end already!?" He grumbles.

With a stretch and groan, Peter gets back onto his feet. "Alright this time for real, you guys stay here you won't be able to get up there fast enough."

Gwen rolls her eyes and crosses her arms, "fine, just make sure you kick some ass!"

"You know it!"

He then leaps onto the wall and fires two weblines as far up as he can. Then he pulls back as far as he can so that when he releases his feet, he's slingshot up like a speeding bullet.

On top of the tower is pandemonium. Seeing no other choice, Wolfram decided to use the device on himself, not only strengthening his quirk far beyond it's limits, but seemingly empowering him with other quirks including a strength and speed that has allowed him to match All Might. The number one hero was already struggling as is since he's nearing his limit after being in his empowered form for so long, internally he knows he's in very dangerous territory right now. But now is not the time to show weakness.

"You don't want to give up, huh?" All Might snarled before he leaps toward the now empowered villain, shouting, "Texas Smash!"

All Might throws his fist into a metal wall that Wolfram had made as a defense..

'What?' All Might questioned.

All Might!, Midoriya eyes widened.

"What do you call that?" the masked man smirked, raining down metal on All Might. And in another display of power, metal on the tower began rising up to him while Midoriya and Melissa could only stare in horror, with the villain stating, "David Shield's genius lives up to its reputation! I can tell my quirk is getting revitalized. This feels amazing! I'm never taking this off!"

"Th-This is Dave's…" All Might gaped.

"It's the power of the device Papa made…" Melissa stared.

"Now, in order to raise the price of this device, why don't we have a demonstration of how it can blow All Might away?" the main villain wondered, sending ma hail storm of metal down on All Might, who jumps out of the way before jumping for the villain, who once again launches a wave of metal on All Might, slowing down his punches as they drove him through the floor.

The ground rose up, sending Melissa into the air until Midoriya caught her. Wolfram was on such a power ride, IS this what you felt? Is this why they feared us in the beginning? Do you see now? You're bloodline has not weakened over Generations, I still have the strength of Magnus!

Under Wolfram's command, the metal on the tower begins warping like tendrils and attacking All Might who's just barely keeping himself on his feet. Midoriya's can see his struggle, it's just as I thought, All Might is at his limit!

Midoriya landed before jumping again as metal smashed in the place he once was.

"Uncle Might!" Melissa whispered.

More metal rain down on All Might, breaking the ground as he tried to hold it back, spitting out blood.

"Why won't you just die already!?" Wolfram raves as he commands blocks of metal to the number one hero, surely to kill him.

"ALL MIGHT!" Midoriya yells futilely.

But just before it reaches All Might, they're stopped in their tracks as their completely covered in ice courtesy of todoroki. "huh?" Wolfram grunts.

Then the strangest thing happened. A small missile launches and attaches itself to Wolfram's chest.

"What?!"

"Tank Missile!"

BOOM! The small missile explode with a treacherous amount of force. Ironman soars into the skies with a vengeance as his suit locks onto augmented villain.

"This is for attacking me with subpar tech!"

Multiple smaller missiles emerge from the shoulders and back on the armor, flying like a pack of bees, homing in and hitting Wolfram dead on, each blast packs a punch as it not only forces him back but they even shatter through the metal wall constructs. Wolfram growls loudly and tries to get control of Ironmans suit but is shocked to see him be unaffected.

"How?"

Ironman flies out the way of the tendrils he sends and blasts the last before using both hands to fire his repulsor rays, "Please, you're not the magnetokinetic I've faced, my suits immune!"

He fires the unibeam once again and yells for All Might, "anytime you wanna tag in point break!"

All Might sees the students appear and begin working as a team to clear the path for him, with Yaoyorozu creating explosive rounds from her hands that Spider-Man suddenly webs into a cluster and throws in the center of the tendril that were sent in his direction.

With my students so motivated, I can't be held back by some stupid limit!, All Might chastises himself. It's time to go beyond, All Might declares as he punches with Ironman's repulsor rays at the metal holding him back, Todoroki shooting ice out, heading for the villain, "That's right, Plus Ultra!"

The ice on the metal broke, heading for All Might in return, who smashes it to pieces before more metal came for him, zooming left and right. When three long pieces of metal headed for him, All Might put his arms across his chest.

"Carolina Smash!" All Might bulldozes through them across the metal, generating a gust of wind. When it finally cleared up, All Might warns his enemy, "Prepare yourself, villain!"

All Might headed up for the villain until wires held him back. But Iron-man lasers them out the way. But that's what Wolfram wanted as Jarvis was to late to alert to him metallic wires heading straight for the armored avenger, wrapping around his limbs and with the electric live endings placed directly on top of his arc reactor. He screams as it arcs through his suit and into his body.

"Is this all you've got-" All Might mustered until the villain catches All Might by his neck, his sleeve tearing apart as the arm glows a dark red.

"Prepare myself? You should take your own advice, All Might." the main villain chuckles, his skin lighting up the same shade of glowing red.

What is this power…?All Might struggled to escape but only ended up spitting out blood. To make matters worse, The metallic villain put his other hand over All Might's scar, squeezing it, making All Might yell out in pain.

"Oh no!" Peter gasps.

The class are shocked to here their savior scream in agony. They have no time to ogle as wolfram sends waves of metal at the students, forcing them to defend themselves. All Might is stunned by the fact that Wolfram is displaying more than one quirk. Such a thing was only unheard except for—"no it couldn't be!"

"Oh yes! The man himself with that green bastard set this whole thing up! He even offered some… services. When I asked why, he was happy to explain his interest. He said,

'if All Might's friend has said he wants to have a hand in something evil, then I definitely want to help. It is unfortunate that I will not be able to see All Might's face twist in pain… when he finds out, though.'

Horrified, All Might eclaims in outrage, "ALL for one is behind this?!"

Grinning sadistically, Wolfram decides to rub salt on the wound, "looks like you finally stopped smiling!"

"NOOOO!" All Might tries in vain to hit Wolfram but he's flung back with the wires and smashed in a barrage of metal boxes.

"Farewell symbol of peace!" Wolfrma exclaims, ready to deliver the final blow!

Unitl a sharp pain hits his head, like a knife to the brain. All the metal under his control moves erratically, weakening their grip and All Might is able to escape his grasp. Iron-Man too, who uses the laser to free himself. "Jarvis give me a status report?"

"It seems the attack has raised the armor power reserves to 400% capacity."

Shocked, he can't help but smirk, "How about that?"

But his eyebrows narrow as he sees the state of wolfram, "Jarvis scan em will ya?"

"It seems that the device empowering him is malfunctioning somehow, the more he uses it the more damage it will do."

"Very very interesting."

Wolfram has come to the same conclusion, every time he sends metal to the heroes, the pain worsens. This thing, it's it's killing me!

With no other choice, he roars enraged and rips the device from his head. Immediately he feels the strain on his quirk. Working over time to keep ahold of all the metal that used to be effortlessly under his command. And that hold is slipping.

Ironman calls down to the heroes, "Ill soften him up for ya!"

He instantly rockets towards the villain. Wolfram conjures up metal walls that take the brunt of the missiles and rays shot by ironman but it soon drives him back. The last blast from his repulsors leaving a bit of a sting. Using the increase in power to his advantage, Iron-man fires a massive unibeam to the magnetic villain. The entire tower shakes as he keeps him pinned down.

Taking their cue, Midoriya and All Might race together towards the villain, working as a team while the rest of the class clear the path for them, with todoroki creating walls of ice that block the weaker Metal tendrils. Spider-Man even helps wrecking a metal wall that came right in from of them, putting his hands together and heaving Midoriya up as he and All Might rise into the air, preparing to deliver the final blow.

Ironman let's up on the unibeam and clears out. Wolfram on the other hand struggles to rise, enraged by the turn of events. "You! Ngh, Won't be me! You insignificant pests!"

With the last of his strength, he screams as a rises with his metal, daring to meet All Might and Midoriya head on. The group below watch as the metal block and All Might and Midoriya meet.

"I'll crush you and the tower!" Wolfram declares, sending the massive block down to the two.

Double Detroit Smash!

Meeting the metal before it hits the ground, All Might and Midoriya punch the metal block at the same time, All Might's sleeve ripping, while the gauntlet starts cracking along with Midoriya's sleeve. The metallic villain used his hands to try and push the metal down until his shirt and sleeves started ripping, the block cracking before breaking apart completely.

Dave glance through the wires holding him, Melissa looking behind a piece of the ground.

"Go…!" Uraraka shouts.

"All Might!" Jiro, Kaminari and Yaoyorozu cry.

"Midoriya!" Peter and Mina cheer.

"Get him!" Todoroki and Iida encourage.

"YEAH!" the rest of the class join in.

Midoriya's gauntlet glowed as he grasps the lights of One for All.

"Go…" Midoriya smiles.

"...beyond!" All Might smirks.

They both rear their fists back, proclaiming, "Plus Ultra!"

The metallic villain wraps himself in metal as All Might and Midoriya's fists land the blow, Midoriya's gauntlet finally breaking, but he's undeterred as he presses on. The villain gasps as the metal that held him up broke, scattering everywhere. The wires holding Dave releases him, letting him fall through the air. Dave eyes widen as an imagery of All Might fades to him seeing Midoriya with the same pose.

"Did they do it?" Iida asks, watching the metal fall to the ground.

"They did it…" Mina sighs, before cheering, "They finished off the villain!"

"All right!" Iida beams.

"It's over!" Jiro breathlessly laughs.

"Midoriya!" Uraraka jumps.

Peter smiles softly along with Momo, who glances over warmly at the American as he does her.

"It's finally over." Peter says to himself and he takes a step forward to congratulate Midoriya, but he's a squelching sound. He looks down and groans.

"Seriously? This is how we end the night? Stepping in sludge? God I hope this is tar or oil or something." He tries to shake off the black sludge but quickly gives up and decides to just head over to his friend, unaware of the sludge subtly wrapping itself firmly around the boot.

Authors note: And scene! Aftermath is up next! Last bits of explanations and interactions for this arc will be in the next chapter as well. And yes Wolfram will make an appearance again later, like come on i connected him to Erik lensherr of course i'm gonna expand on that later. Hope you've all been well and holy hell do i need to talk about No Way Home! I'll doit after the comments so anyone who hasnt seen it yet will know spoilers afterwards. so yea once again if you haven't seen Spider-Man No Way home, don't read past the comment answers.

Anyway, i decided that i was going to end the chapter here jsut cause i know exactly how i want to start the next chapter and it would be a completely different setting to how it is now and would feel like a quick change in time. Not like a time skip but i mean of the events that just happened. Plus everything that happened here will leave it's mark on some characters. You msot likely have noticed who and it'll definitely lead to a little bit of a change in them or at least in motivations. You'll see on the next chapter though!

Side question: What do you guys think will be Midoriya's power level in the future? I've read a lot of fics where he still gets hospitalized as frequently as he does as a teen but when i look back on how All might is and re reading his powers, the guy was a few steps away from being superman. Like he was invulnerable, could take Bakugo's explosions point blank at its highest intensity. I feel like, since it's confirmed that Izuku will eventually be even more powerful than All might since that's what happens with each holder of One for All, that he'd eventually get to that level. I don't know, what do yall think?

Last thing too, I'm planning on creating another fic connected to this alongside the future fic. It's like a series of one shots of the day to day aspects of UA and eventually going into a little of the time between this fic and the future fic. Kinda wanna make it a little more comedic too, it's an idea that I'm toying with that won't happen anytime soon but will eventually!

AadenHelan: As long as you find it funny sometimes! though to be fair i did warn ya'll a while ago that i'm not the best writer and that a bigger weak point i have are the action scenes.

TheGreatGodzilla:I do think that the people held the titles of symbol of peace and number one differently. It's like how in the MCU, the king and the black panther are not synonymous, and it's very rare for either one to be held by the same person. And yea i get what you mean, All Might's goal was specifically to become the symbol of peace and it jsut so happened that doing so put him in the number one spot, so it had pure intent. Endeavor of course was the opposite. And what's worse is that endeavor got it on a technicality, so it makes his position seem that much weaker compared to All might. And honestly same, toru being the traitor would be too easy so i never planned for it to be her. I have someone else in mind and hell i even once thought that All might's detective friend could be a traitor too but neither here nor there. Those are some good ideas, i won't say much else cause i am going back to the drawing board when it comes to the heroes rising arc so i really don't have a lot to talk about concerning it yet.

Jiro i think would love BLACKPINK and Luna Snow and i headcannon that she's a closeted BTS fan too, she tries to hide it cause she thinks it's too cliche or being a poser. In my story, every real world artist exists in the MHA world, it's easier for me cause hoenstly i don't care enough to make up names for random musicians or groups. Like i'd rather use real world artists. And yes Goblin's side and League of villains sid will definitely have some friction, s you saw a bit here, Goblin is gonna do a few things to establish himself more, and he'll talk about it in the next chapter. Gob-Squad will make an appearance later on! all i can say for now lol.

You don't have to apologize especially after what happened. You take all the time you need and don't owe anyone an explanation for it. but it's nice to see you helping others out with their stories. You'll have to wait and see what happens with the symbiotic, I'm most likely going to publish that whole arc at once cause it'll be easier to explain everything that way. Peter's quirk being artificial will be noticable to others, hell Toga will even be able to taste the difference in his blood, like how when PEter was bitten by a vampire, they threw up cause 'he was tainted'. Personall i think the league wouldn't be able to say no to venom, most of them wouldn't be able to stand toe to toe with him except maybe dabi since one of venom's weaknesses is fire.

Animeking6: Thank you lol I kinda feel like Goblin would be a bit territorial with Peter since in a weird way, they're connected, plus guys definitely a few slices short of a full pie! And yea sorry that was intentional, my bad! Wanted ya'll to sweat a bit but i have no intentions of killing gwen... for now. Just kidding!... Or am I? Anyway, yea The TASM movies i actually do like, not that i don't see the glaring problems but the potential was always there and visually they were superior at least to me. and yea we'll see some more of the Peter and Momo ship next chapter!

Although spiderman is unfortunately known for taking a beating more than he'd like (if no way home is any indication of that) besides i personally admire that about him cause no matter how hard he gets hit he's the first one to get right back onto his feet. And nah i wasn't gonna remake the end of Amazing Spiderman 2, actually that's a lie i definitely would use the Alicia keys song at the end, it's an absolute banger!but Gwen dying, i personally feel like was just as important as Uncle Ben's death at least in the original continuity. In ultimate universe though, i don't think it was ever needed, especially with how horrific it was being literally drained into a husk. I would've instead have had harry die. I know he does technically later on, but i feel like it would've been much more impactful, so i was glad that Bendis undid it, despite how convoluted it was. I'm still not sure how to feel about her 'resurrection.

superjoeyf721: There's a few things that'll be done differently when it comes to the camp, Peter's 'alone time' with the villains will be at a different time and under different circumstances. That whole arc i think I'm going to update at once o it might take a bit for it to come out at that time. It'll honestly be easier to explain that way anyway.

Hobgoblin: Honestly yes, the good thing about the Hobgoblin too is that there were so many that i can take a lot of liberties with him. So Kingsley won't be the one i'll use in this fic but in the later ones, yes. And thank you, glad you like it!

Guest: He won't bulk up a lot just yet but he will. Right now he's about the same height as Bakugo but slightly bulkier. When he's an adult he'll have the same height and weight as his Ps4/PS5 counterpart.

Especially since he's now technically a multiversal level threat after what he did in No ay home lol, Thank you and yea Kaminari is one of the people affected most by the I-Island events and you'll see it in the next chapter, fortunately it won't be detrimental but more eye opening in the same way Tony's eyes were opened after the cave.

Ok. holy shit that was fucking awesome! I'll be honest, i wasn't the biggest fan of Tom's run as spiderman cause in a weird way i felt like it was held back by it's connections to the MCU. But this time they really tuened it around, like having all the bad guys from the previous movies come back and Peter helping them get a second chance was exactly what spiderman would do! And yea i'm happy that aunt may said the great power speech to Peter! It fit perfectly, because the othet two spidermen brought showing how clsoe their lives and experiences are yet how different. for Peter 1, it was aunt may, for 1-2 uncle ben. It works! And the way they handled the one more day controversial storyline here, was so much better! It was like a call back to Raimi's aunt may's speech. 'To do what's right we have to be steady and give up the ting we want the most, even our dreams.' He literally gave up everything for everyone. It's sad, but like the Peter's said, it's what they do. Also this movie has fully cemented why i beleive Green Goblin is Spider-Man 's ultimate enemy. willem dafoe truly outdid himself. Like how do i feel safer with his mask being on? And his motivation, to me was a breath of fresh air. Like don't get me wrong, i love it when villains have nuanced motivations, but Green Goblin jsut being evil and wanting nothing but power, it was oddly satisfying. And it made the fight between spiderman and Green Goblin so much better to be becasue it was truly light versus dark. good vs evil. And yea i liked how goblin psuhed PEter to the point that he wanted to kill him. Goblin wants to take it all from PEter even the parts of his soul that makes him who he is! And yea, my green golbin has those same motivations. The same philosophy, he beleives that their basically ogds and it's within their right to do as they please take as they want kill as they see fit. And don't even get me started on Andrew and Tobey. The dynamic between all three was better than i could ever hope. If they mad a 4 hour movie with all three just talking, i'd lvoe every second of it! And finally people are seeing how good andrew is. I'm not ashamed to admit, he's my favorite spiderman and i know he'd be alot of peoples favorite if he had as good of writers as he did in no way home. The man is an oscar worthy actor and to me he stole every scene. Plus getting the redemption of saving MJ after failing Gwen, (chefs kiss). i would love to see them explore him more, his arc would be the opposite of Tobey's spiderman 2 arc. In spiderman 2 he gave up being spiderman, but Andrew's seems to have given up being Peter. I am compeltely facsinated by that and truly want to see how he can reclaim his identity. And tobey, god it was so satisfying seeing him again. I'm one of the few who were satisfied with his trilogy ending cause it felt like it was a really was a chapter in his life ending. He played the big brother very well. He's like the spiderman who finally figured it out, yea its still hard and complicated but he's able to handle it now. And despite how toxic she was, i was releived to see that Peter and Mj eventually got back together, he's the only one of the 3 that still has a special someone. hopefully he can help the others on that. Now yea there were some things that i didn't like, like flash, i still find him annoying, another is what was the point of having Tom hardy's venom appear? Like yea he left a peice of him there. but that felt like an after thought to me. And i'll be honest, Dr strange was a dick to me. He was the one who gave PEter the idea to cast the spell but when it goes wrong, it's Peter's fault? nah you were the one to cast the spell, you should've ended it before it got to where it got to. Every time he said this was your doing to PEter i was thinking, all he did was talk a lot like msot teenagers do, ain't you the runners up to the sorcerer supreme? Who also reversed time in the middle of a fight in his first movie? Anyway, Dr Strange rant aside, i loved it and can't wait to see what happens next.
