Chapter 3: Siblings Of The Force.

After guiding them into the house so they could be safe from the sandstorm, Anakin shook his head free from all of the dirt. "Mom, I'm home. We have guests." He called out once he was done.

At that his mother walked out into the living room, surprised that he had brought people here.

"Mom, this is Qui Gon Jinn. He's a real Jedi." Anakin Exclaimed, a big smile on his face.

"Greetings Ma'am, its nice to meet you. Your son kindly offered us shelter from the sandstorm. I hope we're not intruding?" Qui Gon asked, holding out his hand for her to shake In greeting.

Shmi was surprised, other people usually stayed far away from slaves and viewed touching them as revolting and unclean. Clearly this man was different...

"No not at all, friends of Anakin's are friends of mine." Shmi replied kindly, shaking the man's hand.

A young Twilek girl poked her head out from behind a corner, her small blue eyes locked onto the metal symbol that was on a starfleet officers chest. This is Rivana, one of Anakin's three younger sisters. Shmi had taken them in after Anakin had found them. They had been left on the side of the road, like trash to be disposed off. They were too young to work, even though Watto wanted to train them as slaves. And so Anakin bargained with his master and promised to do the extra work instead of his sisters. Watto had agreed.

Rivana is three and a half Feet tall and covered in beautiful violet skin. She was wearing homemade clothing that Shmi had obviously made for her.

After finally gathering enough courage, Rivana slowly walked up and tugged on the Starfleet Security Officers sleeve.

"Hi, what is that?" She asked, pointing to the item of interest on his chest.

"Hmm? Oh this is my commbadge." Lieutenant Kraymer replied.

"What it do?" Rivana asked, blinking up at him. She was an incredibly curious girl and liked to learn about different things.

"It's a tracker, communications device and security tag all wrapped up in one package. It's a very helpful tool for my Job." The man replied.

"What is your Job?" Rivana wondered.

"I'm a security officer. That means I keep my crew safe and sound, keep an eye on any bad guys and make sure everybody is being good with one another." Kraymer winked, causing the little girl to blush.

"Why we never see you before?" Rivana muttered, a frown appearing.

"I'm visiting, kind of. You see that bearded man? He's a friend of mine and its my Job to check that he and that girl over there stay safe." The man replied, pointing towards Padme as Qui Gon spoke with Shmi.

"That's cool. You're cool." The little girl grinned, showing a gap in her teeth.

Kraymer chuckled, patting her head softly. "Thanks kid, you're pretty cool too. You got a name?"

"Rivana." The Twilek giggled, her eyes alight with happiness and wonder.

"Rivana huh, that is a very pretty name. You ever tried something called Chocolate?" Kraymer asked, a small smile on his face.

He had an idea...

"Why are your ears so long?" A young human girl asked Jar Jar. She had snuck up on the poor Gungan and almost given him a heart attack. Apparently she liked to surprise (scare) people and do harmless pranks.

This little girl's name is Amina, and she is a young Mandalorian. She has purple eyes, tan skin and dark brown hair.

"Meesa not know, Meesa Just born this way." Jar Jar shrugged in reply as he walked around the living room, looking it all over.

It was small but homey he supposed, for a hot place like tattoo, tatu, tatty, ta...whatever this planet was called. He really missed his dry and cool forest, that place didn't have any scary bullies.

"Why are your hands so big, and your nails so long?" Amina continued to ask, follow close behind Jar Jar.

"Meesa has same answer as before, Meesa not know." Jar Jar replied, looking down at the little girl at his side. She seemed nice, but he was wary of humans. Humans have not always been good to his kind. Sure she was young, but Jar Jar knew never to underestimate small things. "Meesa hungry, could go for large hop croak thing." The gungan smiled, patting his belly.

"...You're weird Mister" Amina stated.

"Meesa know." Jar Jar sighed. He had heard it plenty from his fellow Gungan, and had gotten used to it. He was weird, clumsy, stupid. He was a LOT of things.

But he couldn't help the way he is..

"But, you are also funny." Amina giggled, a big grin on her face.

Jar Jar smiled at that. Perhaps life wasn't so bad after all.

"Tirana, don't play with that!" Anakin jumped, rushing to take the power cell out of his younger sister's hands.

Tirana is a small Pantoran girl, she has dark blue skin, large golden eyes and soft purple hair. She stood at two foot nine inches.

She was smart, they all were. And besides Anakin she was the third most mature sibling. But sometimes she did stupid things, like try and take the cover off of a live power cell.

Luckily, Anakin knew technical stuff and could quickly point his sister in the right direction, or stop her from blowing herself up or electrocuting herself.

Tirana pouted. "Sorry Ani I forgot again." She mumbled, rubbing her arms.

Anakin sighed, patting her head gently. "It's okay, just don't mess with anything while I'm gone okay? I can't keep an eye on you if I'm not here. And mom is really busy with our younger Siblings to keep an eye on us all twenty four seven."

"Well?" Sidious asked, eyebrow raised under his black cloak.

"The area is currently experiencing a large sandstorm, I am unable to accurately pinpoint the Queen or the Jedi. I seek your guidance." Darth Maul reluctantly admitted.

"Wait the storm out, search the rest of the planet's settlements. The Jedi could be throwing off their force signatures, once you are sure they are not anywhere else then you search the town where the sandstorm is currently striking. You must be vigilant my apprentice, my meditation has revealed that this new faction is beyond anything we have ever seen. Do not attack the orbiting ships, for you will certainly be destroyed." Sidious told him.

"I understand, my master. They will not make it to Coruscant, on that I assure you." Maul replied.

"Careful, My apprentice. Do not make promises that you cannot uphold. Remember the last time you failed me." Sidious warned his pupil.

Maul winced before clenching his fists. "It will not happen again, I vow this my master."

"This is my podracer, I built it myself. With some help from my sisters of course." Anakin revealed, smirking.

"You race this thing?" Padme blinked, impressed while also feeling quite sickened at the thought of a child blasting around a dirt track in such a vehicle at high speeds.

"Yep." Was Anakin's only reply.

"He doesn't win..." Tirana mumbled, wiping the smirk off her big brother's face.

"Although that's not his fault, the other contess- quantas, umm.. racers, cheat." Amina pouted, having trouble with the word: Contestants.

Rivana nodded. "Especially Sebulba."

"He's a real piece of work, El Chu Ta!." Amina muttered.

"Amina!" Shmi chastised, shaking her head with a sigh.

"Sorry mama..." the little girl apologised, forgetting her parent was there. She had to be careful around Shmi, because the woman didn't like obscene words or gestures. Even though they were surrounded by such.

Shmi tried to raise them as if they weren't slaves, as if they didn't live in a horrible environment.

"I see..." Qui Gon hummed, he then asked to speak with Shmi alone about some matter, leaving Anakin and his siblings with Padme and the Starfleet officers.

"Captain Decker to Lieutenant Riley, Report." Came the comm order from the Starfleet dreadnought.

"Lieutenant Riley here sir, The planet is exactly as Qui Gon described it sir, possibly even worse. There are smugglers, gangsters, slavers, you name it this place probably has it. We've found what Qui Gon has sensed though, a small family. One of them is a young boy, I think he might have the same abilities as the Jedi. That is my belief as to why we are here, to pick him up." Riley said.

"Hmm, one wonders as to if the Jedi would have even come here if not for the boy. For supposed peacekeepers they don't seem to be doing an adept Job."

"My thoughts exactly captain." The officer agreed.

"I'll have S31 intelligence look into what can be done for Tattooine. Perhaps some tactics we used during the dominion war might come into play."

(End of chapter three)
