Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Damian Redgrave.

'Where there's a whip, there's a way'. Damian sang in his head while nodding to the song blaring in his ears. He was currently watching the 198- animated movie The Return of the King, and had just gotten to the part where the Orcs sing 'Where there's a whip, there's a way.' It was quite a catchy song, though the movie was crap. This is why he preferred Peter Jackson's masterpieces compared to the animated versions that have come before it.

Percy and Sally were talking leisurely in the front of the car. Damian guessed they wanted to talk more and discuss everything Percy has been doing in the last couple of months. So he figured watching a movie on his tablet was the smart thing to do so that he didn't eavesdrop on their conversation and gave them some privacy.

From what Percy had told them of their destination, Montauk, it had been a place Percy and his mother had been going to ever since Percy was a baby. Sally had been going even longer. She never exactly said, but Damian knew that the beach was special to her. Percy told him that it was the place where she Percy's dad.

It made Damian wonder how his own parents met. Dante never said much, but he did say that his mother had a bit of a temper when they first met in the woods outside of Red Grave City. He said she mellowed out over the years, her temper lessened... though she was always annoyed with him because he enjoyed annoying her but he claimed she loved it.

As they got closer to Montauk, Sally seemed to grow younger, years of worry and work disappearing from her face. Her eyes turned the color of the sea.

The sun had begun setting by the time they arrived, pulling up outside of a cabin located right next to the beach. It looked old but in stable condition. The beach itself was beautiful to look at, especially with the view of the sea. Damian could see why Percy and Sally enjoyed this place so much.

"Okay boys, why don't you both unpack while I let the owners know we've arrived." Sally suggested as they got out of the car.

"Got it." Damian said before he dug into his pocket and pulled out some cash. "I did say I'd pay for myself, and I'm doing just that."

Sally looked at him gratefully as she took the money before walking off to inform the owners of their arrival while Damian and Percy got started on unpacking their things from the car and taking it over to the cabin. When they got in, Damian looked out around the place. It was pretty basic with a couple of cupboards, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a couple of beds. Thankfully there was a bunk bed and a double bed so they would not have to worry about anyone sharing or sleeping on the floor. There were a few cobwebs around but Damian just figured that was because the place was not used much.

"It's not much." Percy said, setting his bag down and looking around the cabin. "But I have loved coming here ever since I was little."

"It's not that hard to see why you'd love coming here." Damian commented. "I mean, beach outside, sea before it, get a warm campfire going to roast marshmallows over... this is what I call a vacation. And the place is special to you and your mom, considering you told me this is where she met your father."

"Yeah." Percy nodded, looking a little glum now at the mention of his father.

Damian noticed this. "You don't talk about him much."

Percy shook his head. "I never met him. Not that I can remember meeting him anyway. Maybe the barest trace of a smile but that it. From what my mom told me, he was a very rich and powerful but he was very sweet. Apparently, I have his eyes and his hair. They spent their time here on the beach but when my mom found out she was carrying me he had to leave for business. He went overseas and never came back. She said he was lost at sea. Not dead. Just lost at sea. She doesn't like to talk about him much. It makes her sad."

"Yeah... my dad's the same when he thinks of my mom." Damian said quietly, looking out at the beach, his expression turning distant before he shook his head.

When Sally got back the trio quickly unpacked and made their way outside so they could enjoy the cool air. Since it was summer, the sand was warm when stepped on but the moment they dipped their feet in the water it was as cold as ice.

It made Damian want to run back onto the beach but yet Percy and Sally were both perfectly fine with it. He figured the two were just use to it.

After some swimming in the ocean, they went back onto the beach and played a little baseball. They took turns at who batted, who pitched and played the field. Damian easily won that since with his training and great athleticism it made him a pretty great athlete all around. Even Percy did pretty well too, surprising Damian since Percy never really showed any interest in sports back at Yancy.

After that, the day changed to night and the moon was high in the sky causing the ocean to glitter and gleam just like it did during the day under the sun. But Damian found it to be more beautiful under the gaze of the moon. He felt energized being under it, like he could try bench-pressing heavy weights while reading a book or doing it with one arm.

They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, with Sally telling the boys stories about when she was a kid, back before her parents died in the plane crash. She told them about the books she wanted to write someday, when she had enough money to quit the candy shop.

"Mom... what was dad like?" Percy asked, looking as if he had been plucking up the courage to ask about his father. Damian glanced at his friend before looking at Sally to see her eyes get misty with unshed tears. Clearly this was a sensitive topic.

"He was kind, Percy." she said. "Tall, handsome, and powerful. But gentle, too. You have his black hair, you know, and his green eyes." She fished a blue jelly bean out of her candy bag. "I wish he could see you, Percy. He would be so proud."

"How old was I?" Percy asked. "I mean ... when he left?"

She watched the flames. "He was only with me for one summer, Percy. Right here at this beach. This cabin."

"But... he knew me as a baby."

"No, honey. He knew I was expecting a baby, but he never saw you. He had to leave before you were born."

Percy nodded, but he looked upset that his father had never really met him, never even seen him.

"What about you, Damian?" Sally asked, gaining the Demon Hunter's attention. "You've only ever mentioned your father, but nothing about your mother."

"I wish I knew." Damian sighed. "My dad always told me that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met in his entire life, that she kept him on his feet and put him in his place occasionally but she loved him so much as he did her.. He always told me of the day I was born, of the loving expression she had when she held me. And sometimes, I can always remember a smile, even silver eyes like my own, staring down at me. Dad said she left when I was coming up for my second birthday, saying she had family business to attend to. She hasn't appeared since then."

Sally's mind was reeling at this information as she stared at Damian. 'Could he be like Percy?'

The conversation went quiet for a bit before things picked up. Percy asked Sally what they were going to since Percy would need to find a new school. Sally told them they would have to find something for him. While Percy was beginning to wonder whether Sally actually wanted him around which caused Sally to get a little teary eyed and hug her son close. Damian just sat and ate his marshmallow. What he wouldn't give just to be able to spend a little bit of time with his mom just like Percy and Sally.

"Damian," Sally said, getting the teen's attention. He saw Sally standing in front of him and Percy getting up. "We're going to head in now. Don't be too late" she said giving him a quick peck to the forehead.

"Sure" he said blushing a little. "I'll be in a little while. I just want to enjoy the night for a little while longer."

The two nodded before they walked inside the cabin and gently shut the door. Damian took a breath before he got off the log he was sitting on and laid down on the sand and looked up at the stars in the sky. It had felt like forever since he just looked up at the stars but with training, studying and school it took up most of his time.

The stars all twinkled brightly as he stared up at them from his spot. He saw the Andromeda, Orion, Virgo, Ursa Major, Hercules, Scorpius constellations and smiled.

He wondered if his mom enjoyed looking at the stars just like he did and thought if they ever met, which he was hoping they would someday, she would stargaze with him. All parents had a something that they and their children did and shared together. Perhaps looking up at the night sky and watching the stars could be their's

After what felt like forever, Damian got up and stretched before taking one last look at the moon high in the sky.

"I hope we meet soon." Damian said quietly before he trudged along the sand and went inside the cabin.

He got some pyjamas from one of the draws and quietly went to the bathroom and got changed. Afterwards, he went to the free bottom bunk of the bunk bed since Percy had the top and Sally was on the small double bed.

He closed his eyes and let sleep take over.

However, little did he know that as he walked away from the fire and entered the cabin, a pair of warm chocolate brown eyes formed in the fire and watched him go with care evident in her eyes.

"You will see her soon, Damian. You just need to wait a little longer." A quiet feminine voice said before disappearing completely and left only a small fire left burning.

Later that night, Damian snapped up, his eyes wide and awake due to the bad weather. He looked outside and saw it was raining, the kind of storm that cracks trees and blows down houses. It was accompanied by lightning making false daylight, and twenty-foot waves pounding the dunes like artillery.

"Weather's acting all funny again." Damian muttered to himself, wondering how he's going to be able to sleep with a stornm like that right next to him. However, his nose twitched when he caught a familiar scent. "Grover?"

Getting out of bed, he made it to the door and yanked it open to see Grover standing there, arm raised as if about to knock. Damian blinked, blinking twice when he saw the hairy goat legs Grover had instead of normal, human legs. But considering Damian killed demons for a living... this wouldn't be as shocking as it would to any other normal person. Although Damian was surprised his friend had goat legs.

"Grover?" Damian asked.

"Damian?" Grover gasped, sounding out of breath. "I've been looking for you guys all night! You ditched me!"

Damian glanced back to see Percy had woken up, followed by Sally. "It was his idea." Damian pointed at Percy before he then frowned and gestured to Grover's legs. "You want to explain the legs?"

"Later. Right now, we need to get you and Percy out of here!" Grover said with panic in his voice which confused Damian.

Just then a thunderstorm sounded out through the area and the winds began picking up. Sally was out of bed, throwing a blue robe over her blue nightgown. She took one look at Grover before a face of terror made its way to her. She quickly turned around and looked straight at Percy.

"Percy," she said, shouting to be heard over the rain. "What happened at school? What didn't you tell me?"

Percy was frozen, looking at Grover. He couldn't understand what he was seeing. He wasn't used to strangeness like Damian was, who hunted demons for a living.

"O Zeu kai alloi theoi!" Grover yelled, causing Damian to look at him with his eyebrows raised. "It's right behind me! Didn't you tell her?"

Sally continued to look straight at Percy and then glanced over towards Damian. "What did you boys not tell me?"

Percy was still too much in shock at the situation to say anything, so Damian explained what happened. He started with the incident with Mrs. Dodds, followed by those three strange old ladies that they saw. Sally's face went deathly pale in the flashes of lightning.

She grabbed her purse, tossed Percy his rain jacket, and said, "Get to the car. All of you. Go!"

Discreetly, Damian grabbed Dusk and Dawn from where they were, as he went nowhere without his guns or his sword but his sword was a... special circumstance.

Grover ran for the Camaro—but he wasn't running, exactly. He was trotting, shaking his shaggy hindquarters. He quickly opened all the doors to let people in as Sally, Percy and Damian came running out of the cabin, all still wearing their pyjamas. They hopped into the car and once Sally got behind the wheel she floored it leaving a small trail of dust in her wake.

Damian was sitting in the front seat beside her while Grover and Percy sat in the back.

They tore through the night as they made their way along the dark country roads. Wind was slamming against the Camaro. Rain lashed the wind shield. No one was sure how Sally could see where she was going but she continued to drive like she was on autopilot.

"So you and my mom... know each other?" Percy asked, finally finding his voice.

Graver's eyes flitted to the rearview mirror, though there were no cars behind them. "Not exactly." he said. "I mean, we've never met in person. But she knew I was watching you. Both you and Damian."

"Okay, that was a little bit creepy." Damian commented, getting a small glare from Grover.

"I was keeping tabs on you. Making sure you were okay. But I wasn't faking being your friend," Grover added hastily. "I am your friend."

"Urn ... what are you, exactly?"

"That doesn't matter right now."

"It doesn't matter? From the waist down, my best friend is a donkey—"

Grover let out a sharp, throaty "Blaa-ha-ha!"

"Percy, he's a Satyr." Damian cut in, though looked amused at the sound Grover let out. That was pretty funny,m even if Percy had offended him. "Human from the waist up, goat from the waist down. They're nature spirits from Greek Mythology."

Grover blinked. "How did you know?"

"I studied Greek Mythology very hard because my dad told me it may come in handy at some point." Damian said before rolling his eyes. "I thought he was just being a dick and wanted me to read up on the goddesses or something. The point is, Grover's a Satyr from Greek Mythology."

"Whoa. Wait. Satyrs. You mean like ... Mr. Brunner's myths?" Percy asked.

"Were those old ladies at the fruit stand a myth, Percy? Was Mrs. Dodds a myth?" Griover retorted.

"So you admit there was a Mrs. Dodds!" Percy pointed at him.

"Of course." Grover nodded.

"Then why—"

"The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract," Grover said, like that should be perfectly obvious. "We put Mist over the humans' eyes. We hoped you'd think the Kindly One was a hallucination. But it was no good. You started to realize who you are."

"Who I—wait a minute, what do you mean?"

The weird bellowing noise rose up again somewhere behind them, closer than before. Whatever was chasing them was still on their trail.

"Percy," Sally said, "there's too much to explain and not enough time. We have to get you to safety."

"Safety from what? Who's after me?" Percy asked, confused.

"Oh, nobody much," Grover said, obviously still miffed about the donkey comment. "Just the Lord of the Dead and a few of his blood-thirstiest minions."

"Wait, what now?" Damian looked at him with surprise and disbelief.

"Well, mainly Percy since he is in the most danger but we need to get you away as well." Grover said, before he realized just exactly what he said.

"This is so confusing." Damian muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was so confused and frustrated by what was happening, mainly frustrated at not being given clear understanding of what was happening. What was chasing them? Who was this 'Lord of the Dead'?

Sally made a hard left. They swerved onto a narrower road, racing past darkened farmhouses and wooded hills and PICK YOUR OWN STRAWBERRIES signs on white picket fences.

"Where are we going?" Percy asked.

"The summer camp I told you about." Sally's voice was tight; she was trying for her son's sake not to be scared. "The place your father wanted to send you."

"The place you didn't want me to go."

"Dude!" Damian shot him a look. Was he trying to make his mom feel bad?

"Please, dear," Sally begged. "This is hard enough. Try to understand. You're in danger."

"Because some old ladies cut yarn." Percy said.

"Those weren't old ladies," Grover said. "Those were the Fates. Do you know what it means—the fact they appeared in front of you? They only do that when you're about to ... when someone's about to die."

"Whoa. You said 'you.'"

"No I didn't. I said 'someone.'"

"You meant 'you.' As in me."

"I meant you, like 'someone.' Not you, you."

"Would you two stop?" Damian gave them a glare. "You're giving me a headache."

"Boys!" Sally cut into the argument. She pulled the wheel hard to the right, and Damian caught sight of a large figure beside the car. Sally narrowly missed it.

"What was that?" Percy asked but no one answered him.

It was all silent until a blinding flash lit up the area before the car suddenly went boom and caused the car to flip over and land on the ground upside down.

"Ow..." Damian said as he rubbed his head. He had hit the top of the car pretty hard and was sure that he was going to find a nice bump there later."Oh that can't be good."

"Is everyone okay?" Sally asked worriedly.

"Fine and dandy... and a little pissed." Damian muttered as he looked down at the roof and now saw a large smouldering hole on the roof that had blackened edges around it and was still giving off small traces of smoke.

'Did we get hit with lightning?' Damian thought with a frown before looking to check on everyone. Percy and Sally were okay, but Grover was knocked out. He had small drips of blood making its way out of his mouth. Damian checked his pulse and sighed happily that his friend was still breathing and his pulse was still beating.

"Boys, we have to get out of here." Sally said before the sound of loud stomping could be heard coming down the road. The group looked down the road to see a very large figure lumbering towards them. It looked as if something was covering his head and had their arms up high in the air like sharp points.

"Everyone out of the car now!" Sally yelled as she and Damian kicked their doors open and scrambled outside. Sally went round to help Percy out while Damian got Grover out and fireman carried him.

"Food..." Grover mumbled in his unconscious state.

Damian shook his head. "How can you think about food right now? Then again... I'd definitely think about a nice slice of cheese pizza right now."

"Boys, do you see that giant tree on top of the hill?" Sally asked as she pointed over to a large pine tree that towered over all the other tree's. "Head straight for it and don't stop. Get over that hill and you'll see a big farmhouse down in the valley. Run and don't look back. Yell for help. Don't stop until you reach the door."

"Mom, you're coming too." Percy said as he grabbed his mom's arm. Sally looked at him sadly.

"Nobody is getting left behind. Now let's move!" Damian said strongly, adjusting Grover on his shoulders before making his way towards the hill.

"Come on." Percy said as his hand grasped his mom's and they began to follow after Damian and Grover.

Hearing grunting sounds that did not sound anywhere near human, Damian turned his head in the direction of Gabe's car and saw a large man with what appeared to be a blanket on his head. As he got closer, Damian realized he couldn't be holding a blanket over his head, because his hands—huge meaty hands—were swinging at his sides. There was no blanket. Meaning the bulky, fuzzy mass that was too big to be his head ...was his head. And the points that looked like horns...

'Wait a minute.' Damian thought, squinting his eyes. 'That looks like...'

"He doesn't want us," Sally said, cutting into Damian's thoughts. "He wants you. Besides, I can't cross the property line."

"But..." Percy started but his mother cut across him.

"We don't have time, Percy. Go. Please."

The large creature let out a bellow of rage as he realized his prey wasn't in the car, to which the creature responded by throwing it out the way like a ragdoll. Now, Damian was able to get a good look at the creature and confirm what he was thinking.

He was seven feet tall, easy, his arms and legs like something from the cover of Muscle Man magazine—bulging biceps and triceps and a bunch of other 'ceps, all stuffed like baseballs under vein-webbed skin. He wore no clothes except underwear—I mean, bright white Fruit of the Looms—which would've looked funny, except that the top half of his body was so scary. Coarse brown hair started at about his belly button and got thicker as it reached his shoulders.

His neck was a mass of muscle and fur leading up to his enormous head, which had a snout as long as my arm, snotty nostrils with a gleaming brass ring, cruel black eyes, and horns—enormous black-and-white horns with points you just couldn't get from an electric sharpener.

"You've gotta be kidding me." Damian muttered to himself. First a Satyr, now the bloody Minotaur? What was next, Medusa? The Kraken? One of the Greek Gods?

Beside him, Percy gaped. "That's-"

"Don't say his name." Sally warned. "Names have power."

"Pasiphae's son." Damian said instead. "From the story of Theseus and the bull man."

"We have to go." Sally said, pushing the boys further. "It's after Percy, but there's a chance it could be after you as well, Damian."

Behind them, the Minotaur was sniffing the air, looking here and there.

"His sight and hearing are terrible," Sally said. "He goes by smell. But he'll figure out where we are soon enough."

As if on cue, the Minotaur snapped his head in their direction before bellowing as he charged after them.

"Oh shit, he's coming!" Damian said, then looked ahead to see the pine tree was still way too far—a hundred yards uphill at least. Damian was doing fine due to his training but Percy and Sally were beginning to struggle.

"Wait until the last second, then jump out of the way— directly sideways. He can't change directions very well once he's charging." Sally instructed quickly. Both boys nodded though Percy nodded a little hesitantly.

Looking behind them they saw the Minotaur was picking up pace and getting closer and closer to them. The tree was still a little ways off but Damian was almost there. He turned his head and his eyes widened when the Minotaur suddenly appeared behind Percy.

"PERCY! JUMP OUT THE WAY NOW!" Damian shouted.

Not needing to be told twice, Percy did just like instructed and duck and rolled to the right. The Minotaur went straight past him and ended up slamming into a tree.

Still running, Damian finally made it to the tree and placed Grover at the bottom of it before he turned around and began to make his way back down the hill to help Percy and Sally.

He saw Percy making his way up but looked in horror when he saw Sally running in the opposite direction and back towards the road.

"Go!" Sally shouted. "I can't go with you! I will keep it distracted!"

"Mom, please don't!" Percy shouted when he saw what his mom was trying to do.

However the Minotaur also saw what she was doing and charged right for her. As it got closer, Sally tried to duck out of the way but the Minotaur had learnt its lesson and caught her in its giant hands.

"NO MOM/MRS J!" The boys called out but it was already too late.

Sally looked at the boys one last time before the Minotaur squeezed and Sally disappeared in a golden light.

Percy looked in horror as he saw his mom disappear in front of him and dropped to his knees while Damian looked on in anger.

"Alright... now I'm pissed." Damian said, his hands clenching into fists before he reached behind him, grabbed Dawn and Dusk, whipped them out, aimed and fired relentlessly at the Minotaur who roared as he was struck by the bullets. Though the bullets were hurting him, Damian had a feeling it was just pissing this thing off.

The Minotaur roared before it charged through the bullets striking it, coming directly at the two boys.

"Oh shit!" Damian said as he quickly dove to the side. However, he noticed Percy frozen in shock. "Percy! Get out of the way!"

However just as the Minotaur got close Percy did something incredible. He tensed his legs and jumped into the air and used its head as a springboard and then wrapped his legs around its neck.

Damian, who saw the whole thing, looked at Percy with wide eyes while Percy began tugging on the Minotaur's right horn. It looked like a bit of tug of war was going on until an audible snap was heard and Percy found himself on the ground with a Minotaur horn in his hands.

"Damn..." Damian muttered before he stood, twirled the guns around his fingers and holstered them. He glanced over his shoulder as a sword appeared across his back in a flash of silver light, revealing a silver-colored longsword. The blade is long and double-edged, with the forward-facing edge curving outward to form the guard. The handguard is is designed to resemble a vortex that reverses at the center of the handguard. The pommel carries a piece that resembles the face of a wolf. "It's Judgement Day for you, bull man."

Running, Damian leaped through the dirt and drove his foot directly into the Minotaur's other horn, with enough force that it snapped that one off too.

The loss of it's horns infuriated the Minotaur as it roared and swung it's arms in a mad frenzy, catching Damian with a backhand to the chest which sent the young Demon Hunter flying and crashing through a tree before he collided with the ground, grunting as he did so.

'Ow... that's gonna leave a mark.' Damian thought with a pained groan, clutching where his ribcage was as he was sure he heard one of them crack.

However, he wasn't out of the fight just yet.

Damian got to his feet, ignoring the pain and sprinted towards the Minotaur who now had turned his complete attention to the white-haired teen. Damian jumped, kicked off a tree for momentum and flew right over the Minotaur's head... and stabbed his sword directly into the back of it's neck, causing it to throw it's head back with a pained roar, clawing to get Damian off.

Damian avoided it's hands and dug his weapon in deeper, causing the Minotaur to fall to it's knees in pain. Looking up, Damian locked eyes with Percy. "Percy, finish it!"

Percy looked at Damian and then the horn in his hands before he put two and two together. He ran and appeared in front of the Minotaur which was still in the process of getting up before he swung the horn right into the Minotaur's chest.

The giant bull man roared out in pain before it slumped to the ground and disappeared and turned into golden dust.

'That was close.' Percy thought but ran over to Damian when he saw Damian clutching his chest.

"Damian, are you okay?" He said before he suddenly found himself becoming very drowsy and was struggling to keep his eyes open. Just as he got to Damian, he slumped down to the ground blacked out.

Damian was no better with the pain in his chest before he too fell to the ground and found himself looking up at the night sky.

It was only minutes later when he heard footsteps and a clopping sound coming from behind him.

He could just about make out two figures with slender bodies. He figured they must have been two girls with a much larger figure behind them but he couldn't quite make it out. One girl with blonde hair walked over to Percy and started muttering words he couldn't make out while the other girl walked towards him.

She knelt down and Damian could see that she had raven black hair and had blue eyes. All Damian could think about was how pretty she was.

"Chiron, this one's hurt!" He heard her say and heard clopping coming towards him.

She was the last thing he saw before he blacked out.

And that's it for this chapter folks. Looks like Damian and Percy have arrived at Camp Half-Blood, where things wlll begin to take off story-wise.

By the way, there's something I want to know; do you readers want this series to remain OC/Silena or add a couple more girls to it? I don't know whether to keep it a single pairing or have Damian paired with three girls, which may be Silena, Thalia and Zoe, maybe Bianca as well if I go for four.

Let me know what you think in the reviews and maybe I'll put a poll up.
