Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 16 of Stark Dynasty. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. I decided to write some of Agent Carter into this story and try to make it as good as possible. I hope that this next part which is purely OG that goes into Agent Carter is enjoyable. Without further ado Chapter 16. ENJOY!

Chapter 16

A trawler bobbed on the ocean's surface, at anchor. All sorts of antennae sprouted from the wheelhouse.

Inside the wheelhouse, Howard hunched over a monitor on a high-tech bridge. Dorothy stood beside him looking at the monitor as well.

Their assistants are eye sonar and radiation detectors. One features a steady green blip.

On the screen in front of Howard and Dorothy grainy video footage was shown of the bottom of the sea. Sand and fish roll past as the camera explores the terrain.

Dorothy took a breath as she pulled her coat closer to her body to keep heat from escaping her body. "Howard, we're spending countless days out here…"

"Dorothy, I know that you're worried about finding him as much as Peg is."

"Howard this is beyond obsession," Dorothy said looking over at her brother. "We're spending precious money on things that we shouldn't be doing… we're out of the war now, but spending money that we're running out of… each one of these searches for the last half year hasn't turned up anything…"

"We have to keep clinging to hope, Dottie," Howard said using her childhood nickname.

Dorothy let out a breath running a mitted hand through her hair as she looked out on the icy terrain that they were bobbing through. "Howard a year of searching and nothing other than the Tesseract? I wouldn't want to give up hope, but Howard we haven't even found any sight of the crash."

Howard took a breath looking at his sister.

"We're spending thousands of dollars and we're not even bringing money in now because you put on hold the weapons…"

"Are you saying that we should give up?"

"I don't want to say that Howard. But I think it is time to give up. We can't keep coming out here weekly in hopes of finding him."

"But Peg…"

"Peggy will understand. We can't waste our time when we have things to do Howard."

Howard took a breath between his teeth knowing that his sister was right in what she was saying. He could only hope that this wouldn't upset Peg too much since she was a dear friend of his as well as hers. But they were doing everything that they could and there was just no way that they were going to be able to find him, not with them almost going bankrupt in search of America's Hero.
