"And That's all I know about Archer and Giovanni." Arianna told the group of twelve in front of her. "I hope it helps your decision." As Looker escorted her out of the room, another officer led Archer in. Arianna didn't speak as she was led back to the police van and to her cell in the Goldenrod City jail. She hadn't spoken a word elsewise since she accepted her plea agreement. After her testimony, she was given a set of civilian clothes and sent on her way. As she sat in the Staraptor's in the Department Store, a hand clasped her on the shoulder.
"We need to talk, Arianna." Giovanni muttered. "Come with me. Now." Arianna shook her head and sipped from her coffee. "I don't work for Team Rainbow Rocket anymore. I thought you would know, given that a copy of my renunciation has reached you already." Giovanni released Arianna's shoulder and she felt a piece of steel against her back.
"I didn't mean as a member. I meant as a traitor." Giovanni cocked the hammer on his pistol, and Arianna stood. Giovanni led her out of the store and into the back of a black van. "What did you tell them?" Giovanni asked after she was seated. "Everything they know, I need it." He pointed the pistol at Arianna's face.
"Fire." Arianna murmured. "It's what you're going to do anyway. Pull the fucking trigger, Giovanni." The deadpan demand caught Giovanni off-guard, but he raised the pistol to Arianna's chest. "Are you certain?" he asked.
"You're going to kill me once I tell you. At least this way I can stand up for your daughter." She pressed her chest to the barrel with a look of determination in her eyes. "Do it. Now." Then Giovanni's phone rang, and the van was in motion.
"You'll have to wait. I hear Archer has been released as well." Arianna rode for what felt like an hour to the magnet train station, where Archer was indeed walking out with keys in his hand. Giovanni opened the door and bid Archer climb inside. Archer refused and kept walking. As Giovanni pointed his pistol toward Archer, Looker stepped up to the van and flashed his badge.
"Giovanni Plowman, you're under arrest. Step out of the vehicle." Giovanni pointed toward Looker and pulled the trigger. Fire shot from the barrel, but no bullet left the chamber. "Filling your gun with blanks. Bold, but risky. It's a shame, this was my favorite jacket." He pulled Giovanni from the vehicle and slapped a pair of handcuffs on his wrist.
"Do you expect these charges to stick? They never have before, Looker. What makes you think this time will be different?" Looker smiled at Giovanni's words. "Your daughter." He responded and pushed Giovanni into the squad car.
